To celebrate Zack's latest writing accomplishment, namely hitting the NY Times Bestsellers list for his latest book, Heart of Éire , Zack, Jillian, and the dogs fly to New Orleans to help promote the book at a large book expo. Accompanying them are none other than good friends Vance and Tori Samuelson, since it was the detective's idea to write a story featuring his Irish wife in the first place. However, once they arrive, a blatant attack during the exposition sends everyone into a panic. The only clues that could be found were security footage of a mysterious stranger, seen hurrying away after dropping a voodoo doll for all to see, complete with pins stuck through it.
Was the stranger targeting a specific person? Is voodoo to blame, as everyone seems to think? Could someone be after Zack, since this is the first book signing he's done in decades?

In September, 2020, the Corgi Case Files mystery series was picked up by Columbine Publishing Group and published under its mystery imprint, Secret Staircase Books. Beginning in 2023, all three fantasy series will also be published under the Secret Staircase Books imprint.
It was great to be back with Zack, Jillian, Sherlock and Watson, this time in New Orleans with their good friends Tori and Vance.
On a book tour of Zacks new book, inspired by Vance's request to Zack to write a book where Tori is the main interest, the book has been published and they're all at an expo to meet the fans.
Of course, nothing can go to plan, and when the expo descends into chaos, it's up to Sherlock and Watson to save the day.
Watch out for the end!!!
I couldn't put the book down, I loved it! It's well worth a read, but to put it into context better, it's best to have read the previous books, and read them in order too. I can't wait for the next book now and have pre ordered it already!
You would think 13 books in which two COVID help solve mysteries would get a bit predictable. You’d be wrong.
In Poole’s thirteenth in the “Corgi Case Files” series, Zack and Jillian team up with Vance and Tori as they visit New Orleans for a book event after the successful launch of the Irish novel inspired by Tori and requested by Vance. What awaits them is a ton of book fans- and murder!
I have to be honest, I just adore this series. And I applaud the use of new venues to enliven the plot and give the cast of characters new surrounding and new allies (and foes!)
Two doggie biscuits for the clever pooches who come to the aid of the bipeds and save the day!
Zack, Jillian, Sherlock and Watson, with their good friends Tori and Vance are off to New Orleans to promote Zack's new book based in Ireland. Book signings and panels are Zack's personal idea of perdition, but then death makes an appearance! Along with the sleuthing they get caught up in police rivalry and some bets are placed, which brings in the fun aspect! How can you NOT like the books in this series?! Especially when they are interpreted by popular voice artist Bob Johnson?
The stories do NOT have to be read in any kind of order as the author catches you up on the salient points with each book.
This is book 13 in the fun series and I loved it. The story takes place in New Orleans with the whole crew in the story. Zack, Jillian, Sherlock, and Watson with their good friends Tori and Vance are at a book signing event in New Orleans. I love how Jeffrey Poole can keep writing these great cozy mysteries and even if you never have read any books in the series you will enjoy this story. Plus if you have read all the books you will not be bored he is great at keeping them fun and interesting. I start one of these books and I just don't want to put it down. Bob Johnson is the narrator of this series and he works his magic again.
Another great adventure in the Corgi Case Files. Bob Johnson once again delivers with the brilliant audiobook narration! Honestly, Bob is the voice of this book. He plays the characters so well, and brings them to life from the pages!
So, it's time for Cajuns! You know what that means, New Orleans! And of course, Sherlock and Watson will not be left behind!
A bit of fun insight into the world of an author, and what's New Orleans without a bit of voodoo?
The latest in this fun series takes Zack, Jillian and the corgis to New Orleans, where Zack is signing his newest book. I loved the way the author wove in encounters with a few real-life bestseller authors--fun! The mystery begins right away when the book fair venue is threatened, and the corgis, as always, provide the clues to help catch the perp. If you haven't read this series, start at the beginning and devour them all!!
Another great corgie story where Zack and the gang find themselves embroined in a criminal case while on a pseudo-vacation when Zack's publisher sends him to guest at a book convention. Lots of detective work, wild chases around New Orleans and of course the wise and incorrigible corgies. A good time for cozy mystery fans and a well narrated story.
I have read all of the Corgi case books so far and I have enjoyed them a lot. Going to start book 14 next and have pre pitched book 15 co!omg out Mar 2022. Keep on writing. B W
