Steve Preda takes his decades of experience, research and statistical data to walk the reader through not only the life of building a Buyable Business but the pit falls and opportunities that can arise along the way. Without focusing on only one management blueprint or style, he highlights the main concepts that have been adopted and adapted over the past century and gives them all equal and fair consideration. At times it can get a bit technical or distracting with some of the specifics but overall his direct interaction in both his European and American negotiations play into his explanation of how to layout the plan of starting, building and orchestrating a Buyable Business.

Buyable is a great book for owners and managers of the small and medium size enterprises. It explains with compelling logic why any business owner should build his business to create long term value. Well structured and easy to read - with a holistic approach it guides the reader in selecting what and how to apply for the development of her own company. Definitely recommended to read for anyone considering to sell his business within a 5-10 years horizon, but beneficial to any SME owner/manager.

"Buyable" is a treasure trove of valuable and specific information, written in a vivid and compelling style by a genuine, heartfelt business leader willing to share not just his insights but also his own failures and the lessons he's learned.

The book synopsizes a dozen different management blueprint systems, provides key lessons for improving your valuation and how to exit if desired, and top to bottom is chockfull of incredible takeaways.

My copy is now festooned with tape flags for quick reference -- but they may be moot because I fully intend to read the book again.

"Buyable receives my highest recommendation.
