These two danced around each other for quite some time. A abandoned baby brought them finally together. Axl and Maya now got their chance at a HEA😍😍 Insta love, sweet, romantic, sweet and a kind of abrupt HEA with a small cliffhanger.😉😉 Can't wait for the next story 👍👍👍

Baby Clement
Axl is the fifth book in the Wylder Fire Volunteers series and is a fast-paced love story about Deputy Fire Chief Axl Eckhart and midwife Maya. Maya moved to Wylder Bluffs a few years ago and took over the birthing center which the longtime midwife to the area Monica Kostas wanted to retire. Maya needed a fresh start after the love of her life left her a couple of weeks after proposing. She loved midwifery and with her savings bought the birthing center and has become integral to the community. Axl has his own shattered past that included a fiancee and a daughter. But when their engagement imploded she left taking the daughter that may not have been blood but she was still his.
When an abandoned baby is left at the fire station late one night Axl gets a call from the house and rushes back to find a newborn. Protocol dictates that he needs to take the baby and have it examined to make sure there is nothing wrong. When the hospital is full because of the bad flu going around he decides to not risk getting the baby sick and instead takes it to Maya. It may be the middle of the night but Maya is still willing to help, especially when she recognizes the baby as being born at the birthing center two days before to a single woman who had been left by her boyfriend when she got pregnant. As Axl and Maya take care of baby Clement they start opening up and telling their stories. They have both been attracted to each other for a long time and now they have the opportunity to act on it and see where it goes.......all the way to love and forever. But what will happen with baby Clement? That question will be answered in the next book in the series, Red.
This was a really fast-paced story that packed an emotional punch if you unpack it all. I enjoyed reading this story and really loved both Maya and Axl. I was not really happy with the open ending, a HFN it seems. But that is Tarin's lead in to the next book which I look forward to reading.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Maya needed a change after her fiancé left her, so when she discovered that there was a birthing centre about to go up for sale in Wylder Bluffs a remote small town she decides that’s the place for her. She thought she was ls done with love but the feeling she gets round Axl is one she’s doing her best to fight. But the night that he arrives at her birthing centre holding a newborn that’s been left at the fire station is the night she knows she’s fighting a lost cause. Is she brave enough to give love another chance?
Axl is not only the deputy fire chief but an author of mystery novels. It’s whilst he is looking for inspiration that he receives a call from the fire station and learns of a baby being left there. Racing back to the station he decided to take him to the birthing centre run by Maya to get him checked out, she’s relatively new to Wylder she’s well known and respected, and he’s attracted to her, more than he will ever admit. Watching her care for the baby makes him wish for things that he didn’t know he still wanted. He’s already fallen for this woman but is this more than a fling for her? Just when he thought he had everything straight there is a knock at the door!
As always a great read however I’m not a fan of cliffhangers and everything just seemed too easy, and the end I’m not sure about surely there are better ways to do things and certainly rules. You want to know what’s going on now don’t you? Grab a copy it’s a great read. 3.8* read

This book is about Maya and Axl. She runs a birthing centre, and works as a midwife. Axl is a firefighter, and he turns up at her clinic in the middle of the night holding a tiny baby in his arms. Circumstances lead them to taking care of the infant together. This forms some kind of crazier attraction to each other, and while they’re chemistry was already hot, it now explodes!
They obviously get closer very quickly, and share some very steamy time together. Shared confessions of deep feelings come to the fore too, and I could see a future for them. But then Axl’s brother Red’s best friend Stephany (quite the mouthful there), comes knocking on Maya’s door with a shocking request – one which I certainly wasn’t expecting! I worry how it’s going to impact on Maya and Axl…
I have some unanswered questions, and I don’t like that it ended on a cliffhanger. But I guess that just makes me excited about whatever happens next. And now I can’t wait to read Red’s book next! I give this book four stars.

Axl is the deputy fire chief in Wylder Bluffs. He is a big, hunky, muscled man. Maya is a midwife. She is a tall woman with patience, smiling eyes and a calming personality. She has a birthing center and lives above the center. Axl and Maya run into each other often because of their jobs. I took a liking to the characters right away. They are very likable/lovable, down-to-earth, fun loving, They have a magnetic pull to each other. Will anything happen? Will they take a chance? This story was way too short! I felt like it had just introduced the characters to the reader and then the story was . . . . . . .to be continued. I didn’t like that. I like to read a story and have closure. I liked the characters and the possibility of a great story but this was more like a preface/intro to the story. I can’t wait to read about Maya and Axl’s story!

A pounding on the door had her reverse her direction to see what was wrong. Standing in front of her was Axl with a little baby in his arms!
They change the baby, she examines him, and they give him a bottle. As Axl responds to a fire call, Maya takes baby Clement, whom she recognized from two days before when she delivered him, to her home since it is still early morning. We are on book five of Ms. Tarin Lex's Wylder Fire Volunteers series. She owns the only birthing center in the town. He is the fire chief. They have been eyeing each other for a bit now but both have had very bad previous relationships. So things have not gotten to the point of even them acting on these feelings. But there has become an incident that he is called back to work for. Now he has to get her help. With the help also comes the chatter between the two when they realize that they have even more desire for each other. Even with this help, she is giving him these two let it fly. But what happens with these two and the little one? We have to wait and see what ends up happening later.

This is book number 5 of the Wylder Fire Volunteers series and focuses on Axl and Maya. Maya is a midwife at a birthing center and Axl is a Deputy Fire Chief. Axl has a baby dropped off at the fire station he decides to take the baby to Maya at the birthing center so the baby can get proper medical care. Axl and Maya had been falling for each other for a while and finally took the plunge after Clement brought them together. I really wish there would have been more to the story. It ends in a cliffhanger that leads to the next story. Other than the cliffhanger portion of it, I really enjoyed the story! Great overall addition to the series.

'Axl: Insta Love Firefighter Romance' by Tarin Lex is the fifth book in her Wylder Fire Volunteers series and tells the story of Axl, deputy fire chief, who gets a baby dropped off at the fire station, and Maya, a midwife, who Axl brings the baby to for help. Maybe now they will do something about their crush on each other.
Ms. Lex has written a great addition to her series. The story had heart, laughs, two fabulous characters and the cutest Cupid in the world. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who likes to have a quick but satisfying read with their coffee.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Axl is the fifth book in the ‘’wylder fire volunteers’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Maya is a midwife and Axl is the fire chief. When a baby is abandoned, Axl and Maya come together.
The chemistry between Axl and Maya is clear to see and I liked them together.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for the next part of this story. I also cannot wait for more books from this series.

Axl is the fire chief of Wylder Bluff so when a baby is surrendered at the firehouse he knows the perfect person to bring him to! Maya the local midwife and also the woman he has fallen for! Maya is shocked when Axl shows up with a baby! Especially since it’s a baby she delivered two days ago! She has been falling for the gorgeous fire chief ever since they met! Can they find their happily ever after? Another great book in the series!

Axl and Maya's story is fast with a bit of drama. I love the passion they both have, I just wish there was a bit more on Axl's back story, I left wanting to know. Maya and Axl have met before, but their interaction has always been limited, until a baby is left at the fire house.
I love the heat, the caring and the passion the character's bring to the story. This is definitely a great story for when you need a break.

In the fifth installment of Tarin Lex's Wylder Fire Volunteers series, we get Axl and Maya's story. The Fire Chief and midwife know of each other, but both having experienced the worst love has to offer, have not been anymore than casual acquaintances. However, when a baby is abandoned at the fire station brings them together, sparks fly. This is a short, very steam, super sweet romance, another wonderful addition in this Wylder Fire Volunteers series.

Maya a midwife, who runs a birthing center just said goodbye to a new family, when she had another arrival Axl, a firefighter carrying a baby.
Axl is chief of the volunteers firefighter came back to the station to find an abandoned new born and brought it to the only person he could trust, the one person he loves for many and was afraid to tell her, Maya.
When Maya saw Axl all she could think of was how much she loves him and wants his babies.

Maya runs a birthing centre and Axl is the fire chief. They’ve been circling each other for months. They finally get their chance when a baby is left at the station. This was a very fast read. The characters have a good connection but I would have liked a bit more of a story because if ends on HFN. Hopefully there will be more in the next book, Red. Axl is the Deputy Fire Chef in the town of Wylder Bluffs. When a newborn baby is left at the door of the fire department, he knows just the person to take care of the baby. Maya, the midwife in town, knows whose baby this is because she delivered it a couple of days before. In carrying for the baby for the night, this pushes Axl and Maya to get closer to each other. This is book #5 of the "Wylder Fire Volunteers" and does have a cliff hanger to finish the story in the next book. Enjoy!

Since the first word to the last this is a book that you are going to fall in love with and it want to end. Axl is the fire chief and Maya is the midwife for mommas and their pregnancy journey. When a baby is surrendered to the fire station Axl takes it to Maya but it’s more than a friendly exchange. I definitely loved every moment and cannot wait for the climax finisher.

This is the fifth story in the "Wylder Fire Volunteers" series. This is a good addition but ends with a happy right now and a cliff hanger. It is a short and quick read mostly about Deputy Fire Chief Axl, midwife Maya and a surrendered baby. Axl takes care of the baby but needs someone to check to make sure all is well with the baby. So he takes her to Maya. It is sweet, cute and sexy story that ends with all three at her place and Stephany showing up at her door.

This is Wylder Fire Volunteers book 5 love story for Axl and Maya. Oh I loved that Maya has a birthing center that she owes and Axl is a Firefighter. I so loved this two and how they were fighting to be together. I think a little wanting but not getting is healthy for couples.

It felt like a short reel from the life of Axl and Maya was cut to show us a glimpse of the life they had and how they become a couple. It sort of ended on a cliffhanger because Clement, in a way brought them together.

I thought that this was a really sweet book. Axl and Maya were great together. These two have been crushing on each other for a while and a little baby is able to bring these two together. I can't wait to see what happens next. I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Tarin as a great author.

Unfortunate circumstances outs Axl and Maya together, they both acknowledge they have an attraction but they both seem to have some baggage. Can these two be open and work with their schedules to become a couple. Or will it just be a chance cooperation in support of someone in need of care.

What a very interesting love story
Absolutely love the suspense of this story. You'll have to read it to get what I mean. Maya is a midwife. Axl is a firefighter, author. He gets a call saying they have a baby at the station. He takes the baby to Maya. This book is different from others, it's a nice change. Very interesting. Thanks for such great entertainment. :)

Axl local fire chief takes the surrendered baby to Maya. Maya is the midwife and also the only person he trusts with a baby. The attraction between these two is finally coming to head. They just needed a baby to give them a push.
