Country Girl finds her City Boy.....but is he worthy of her love
Switch Back is the first book in The Switch series by co-authors Lana Dash and Tarin Lex. This duet is a good premise.....young women who discover they were switched at birth and then end up finding love when they start to get to know their birth family. The first book is about Rosemary Hardin who is twenty-five years old who was raised and still lives in the small town of Fatesville, Idaho. She works as a reporter for the towns newspaper, Fatesville Gazette. She had written a story recently about a woman in her sixties who took a DNA test and found out she had sisters and brothers living in Portland. The company sent her a test to take herself as they liked her article so much. On a whim Rosie took it, along with getting samples from both her parents. But when the results came back it was not what she or anyone else was expecting. Rosie ended up charging ahead and after badgering the hospital, and threatening a lawsuit, she was able to get the name of the other woman. From there she tracked her down only to discover it was Hazel Davenport, the daughter of a very rich, powerful and influential family is Seattle, Washington. She did call Hazel and that then set off a whole bunch of events. After a meeting between the families and the hospital Rosie and Hazel speak a bit together and end up agreeing that they should switch places for a week to get to know their birth families. So two weeks later Rosie finds herself arriving at SeaTac airport where she is picked up by two of her three older brothers and one brother's best friend. Not everything is going to go smoothly but along the way it is Alex who she feels connected to the most, her older brother's best friend. But as her father Scott Davenport is in the middle of running for the Governor of Washington there are those around the family that are leery of Rosemary and her family's intentions.....after all they could sell the story for a lot of money. Will Rosemary feel welcomed into her new family? Will she be able to adjust to the new world she finds herself in? Will Alex and Rosie make a real love connection or is it all just a lie so he can spy on her? So many interesting situations and emotions are coming with this story.
I loved this first book in the duet. Rosie is such a true sweetheart, as are her family including her older and younger sisters. She is quite a fish out of water when she arrives in Seattle and ends up feeling like she is not being welcomed into the family. But she discovers that what she perceives may not be what is actually happening and that she needs to let go and really get to know this new family that she comes from. I really liked Alex but there was a moment in there where I was not sure about him. That is until he proved himself truly worthy of Rosie. Add in a two wonderful Epilogues and this book is a winner and one that I have to say is a RECOMMEND READ!
The first of a duet of shorts focused on two 25 year old girls who were switched at birth.
Rosemary Hardin, a small town journalist, was raised on a farm in Idaho by Hank and Marjorie Hardin. She has two sisters Liz (who’s older) & Sophie (who’s younger).
Hazel Davenport, a law student, was raised in Seattle by Scott & Cynthia Davenport. She has three older brothers: Roman (lawyer), Luca (software), and Grant (a model). Her father, a lawyer, is running for governor.
After meeting at the hospital where they were both born, Rosemary suggests that they switch places for a week and try out each other’s life.
Rosemary travels to Seattle. Her brothers, Roman and Luca, pick her up from the airport. They are accompanied by Roman’s best friend, Alex. While her brothers are standoffish, Alex immediately makes her feel at home. In fact, neither of them are unhappy when Rosemary’s mother pushes them together the next afternoon. They play tourist, riding the ferry and generally getting to know each other.
Minor angst when Alex — who works on Scott Davenport’s campaign — admits his boss tried to get him to cosy up to her to find out if she was planning to reveal the “switched at birth” to the press. Noise from the ferry has her missing the critical “but I refused”. The next day at a campaign event Alex pulls her aside, setting things straight, leaving nothing standing in the way of their mutual chemistry.
Lana Dash and Tarin Lex team up to bring the duet The Switch! The first novella, Switch Back, is a delicious instalove romance. Rosemary Hardin takes a DNA test after promoting the company through one of her articles, and receives shocking news: her parents are not her parents, and she was switched at birth with Hazel Davenport. When the two families meet, the Idahoan farmgirl proposes to Hazel that they switch lives for a week to get to know their respective biological families. As soon as Rosie arrives in Seattle, she meets two of her three biological brothers, and her eldest brother's best friend - and as soon as she and Alex lay eyes on one another, they are both smitten. The Davenports live in a world Rosie is not used to, with her wealthy father also running for governor, and Alex is an immediate source of comfort. But with a gubernatorial race, a new family, and her secret identity in the mix, the course of true love will not run smooth! This is an original, entertaining, steamy and sweet novella and I'm off now to read Hazel's story!

Rosemary Hardin a reporter wrote an article about a family using DNA testing and as a result the company sent her a free test. When the results came in it was discovered that the people she thought of as her parents were not her parents. When it was traced back, her and another female baby had been switched at birth. Upon meeting Rosemary and Hazel had decided to go live with their bio family for one week. Rosemary left Fateville, Idaho flying to Seattle, Washington to spend time with the Davenport family. Two of her brothers and one of them's best friend, Alex met her at the airport to deliver her to the family penthouse. Her and Alex immediately experienced a connection, plus he was the only one that would even talk to her. As soon as she arrived everyone disappeared, it seemed no one had time for her. The characters were believable and fun. The story was contained some serious points as well as some right down humorous moments.

Switch Back is part of a dual series that is fun, entertaining and will make your heart race. I love the story line and the characters of these books. This is Rosemary's side of the story. Rosemary is a writer, when she did a piece about someone finding out the truth, she did not expect to find out the truth about her life.
Rosemary reached out to Hazel and her family. After meeting asked to switch places to see what she should have had. What she found was not what she expected. Alex works for Mr. Davenport's campaign and is friends of the family. When he meets Rosemary at the airport he is taken by her, when he asked to spy on her, it is to much. Rosemary is having a hard time adjusting to her new family, but when she gets out of her head and step back she can see their love for her.
I love the connection between Rosemary and Alex, the are sweet and passionate couple. Their hearts grow with each moment they are together. Great series to get lost into.

The New Lex/Dash Duet is FIRE! Tarin Lex and Lana Dash bring us a duet about two young women who have discovered they were accidentally switched at birth in a Seattle hospital. In “Switch Back,” Book 1 of the set, we meet Rosemary, the red-headed farm girl from Idaho turned small-town newspaper reporter who finds herself in this crazy predicament and decides to take a week to get to know her biological family. She doesn’t exactly get the warm and fuzzies when her older brothers meet her at the airport, but meeting a longtime family friend certainly makes things interesting. Alex is immediately smitten with the beautiful long-lost sister of his best friend, and he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Their connection is quick and intense, and the hot Seattle political campaign worker and the gorgeous Idaho writer give us some awesome aww moments, steamy bits, and all the feels. Truly loved this story and can’t wait for the second half!
OMG – new life with double of everything! This is about two girls who were switched at birth, this first story is about Rosemary who discovered it by just doing mailing out her DNA. Her buddy Chasen realizes that the results are something she needs to discuss with her parents. She has always known that she was different than her sisters but didn’t think much of it. Now, she knows that she is not their blood daughter, but how do you change that after 25 years?
The story takes off as she goes to stay with her wealthy new parents for a week and ends up meeting Alex who is taken by her immediately. Love the way both families came together to make this workout and now she not only has one set of parents but two along with three older brothers!

First things first; I like the cover of this book! Switch back is the first book in the ‘’switch’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When Rosemary learns she was switched at birth, she soon meets the people that were supposed to raise her. When she asks for a swap, she and the other girl swap places for a week. What Rosemary doesn’t expect is to fall for her new older brothers best friend. The chemistry between Rosemary and Alex is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
I always loved reading this type of trope; any trope with switched at birth, mistaken identity, switched twins or even amnesia (I know... I know... it's not all the same. But in my head it was). Reading this was like watching Switched at Birth minus the drama. The storyline was simple and clean. And I liked how the plot showed us that not every "country bumpkin" were after money or fame. Not everyone was after that; some just preferred simplicity, love and warmth of family. And this book was all that; completely packed in 1 short sweet story bundled in a wrap-speed timeline.
No virgin Dual PoV No drama/angst No cheating, No OW/OM Safe read, HEA, Epilogue Overall score: 3.5 sweet simple romance stars
Rosemary does a DNA test and is horrified to find out that her family is not her biological family and that she and another baby were switched at birth. She spends a week with her biological family to find out what her life might have been like. While there she meets Alex, her brother’s friend and feels an instant connection to him. When Alex first sees Rosemary he’s struck by her beauty and feels a connection unlike anything else. The more time they spend together the more they feel like they’ve been friends forever. An entertaining story with likeable real characters. Looking forward to Hazel’s story. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

When they meet they decide to switch for a week. Rosemary feels a bit lost in the Davenport lives but Alex puts her at ease. It was such a small thing that put things at ease for Rosemary and the Davenports. She learns they love her in their own ways. Alex and Rosemary get to know each other and almost lose their chance at a loving relationship but it is solved before it breaks them up for good. I liked the proposal and the shared views of Alex and Rosemary.
She took a dna test and found out she wasn't her parents daughter. Both families are at the hospital where it happened and talking to them about the mix up. She and hazel took a week to see each other family and see their life. They each felt that they didn't belong in their family. She meets her new brother best buddy, instant attraction, and he tells her that her father's campaign manger wanted to find out her angle. He gets fired from the campaign and tries to find a way to tell her what's going on. A reporter corner her upset her, he comes to the rescue and finally explains everything. Things are alright now.
These two authors did a bang up job in collaborating together to write this two book series. The first book is about Rosemary a journalist who lives in the country town of Fateville, Idaho with her family. She receives back a DNA test that she had done because of an article that she had written on the subject. The results set in motion the discovery that she and another baby had been switched at birth in the hospital. Rosemary heads to Seattle to visit for a week with the Davenport's, her real parents. When Rosemary meets Alex, a friend of the family, they find a connection that is strong. This is book #1 of "The Switch Book" series. Well done, Ladies! Enjoy!
I really enjoyed reading this book. I had no idea what it was about because I already knew I'd like it...Lana and Tarin's books are always good. Switched at birth, you don't hear about that much any more. I liked how Rosemary always felt she was so different from her parents and sisters. She works for the local paper and had done an article on DNA testing. They were so impressed with her report they offered her one for free. She does it and the report floors her. Read how she and her family works to blend them together. It's really a good book. I enjoyed it a lot and hope you will as well. Written by Cindy :)
This is a sweet instalove story with a twist! Emotions are running high when Rosemary finds out that the she was switched at birth. Alex has been friends of the family for a long time and is asked to help when Rosemary comes for a visit. Only neither one was expecting for the smoldering heat between them. This story is different but still wonderfully written by Lana Dash filled with a sweet and steamy happily ever after!

What starts as just a shot in the dark at getting her DNA tested opens up a can of worms for Rosemary. A truly intriguing duet by Ms. Lex and Ms. Dash, enjoyed this collaboration as it gives many characters and all their lives are impacted by such shocking news. Loved the immediate connection of Alex and Rosemary, with all the subsequent changes happening, attraction and to one’s soulmate cannot be denied. The ending was perfect as love matters more than appearances.

I feel like the best part of this story was actually the family and switched at birth storyline. I almost felt the romance was sort of an afterthought. I did not care for Hazel at all, at least Rosemary was interesting to read. Alex was the same, I felt he was just sort of there. Hazel’s brothers seemed like jerks. Her parents eventually warmed up but this one was just okay for me. I tried reading Hazel’s story and DNF.

Oh my was this a great short read, I could not put it down. I could not imagine being in Rosemary's shoes and finding out her life is not how it should be. She takes the chance to switch places for one week to meet the family that should have been hers, but never thought she would meet the man who will be her future. Alex never expected to feel this instant attraction to Rosemary, but be knows and feels she is the one ment for him.
It’s a short sweet love story. A love at first sight thing. There was a bit of a misunderstanding but it was all sorted out. The proposal was funny.
You can get a better appreciation of the story when you read both Hazel and Rosemary’s story and how they found the love of their lives. Loved the bonus epilogue.

I found myself tearing up reading this short story, the storyline drew me in and I felt a connection to the characters. I liked how at times I wasn't sure about some things and how I could see things from different perspectives. I wanted to continue reading about this family and I am looking forward to reading book two.

Is the pulmonary grass greener on the other side? That is for Rosemary to find out. After finding out that she had been accidentally switched at birth, she wants to know what her biological families like. It’s the cutest and best switched at birth love story.

Rosemary and Alex's story is a short and steamy instalove. Cute, heartwarming with a entertaining storyline. Rosemary finds out that she was switched at birth. The girls decides to trade places so they can meet and get to know their biological families. Rosemary doesn't really feel like she fits in but the pull between her and Alex, a family friend, is very strong but Alex has a secret that could end them before they begin.
This was a cute story with girls switched at birth meeting for the first time. Rosemary and Alex are cute together and I love that he gives her this sense of peace while she is navigating this new life. The story moves quickly but I loved their connection and how the families still cared for each other.
This is the first book in The Switch series, I suggest reading them in order. Well-written story with a sweet and steamy fast-paced storyline.
