Book 1 in the Return to Wonderland series. Dorothy Abigail Osborne can't stand another minute in her small Kansas town, where the men are either too old, too young, or too backwoods. Not to mention living with her elderly Aunt Maye, who thinks sex is one of the seven deadly sins. But just as she's packing her bags, disaster strikes. A tornado barrels through her home, snatching up Abby and her Irish Wolfhound, too. When Abby wakes, she's sure she's dreaming. Not only is she not in Kansas anymore, she's on another planet. An enchanting planet filled with sexy men more than willing to make all her erotic dreams come true... Lord Kir, Ruler of Emerald City and Lord of the cave-dwelling mountain wolves, finds a treasure on his yellow brick road. She's beautiful. She's confusing. She's absolutely maddening. Abby isn't from his world-nonetheless, he knows he must make her his own. Claim her. Teach her the pleasures of submission. Yes. This was his woman, his kitten, his lifemate. Abby Osborne will belong to Kir for eternity...if he can keep her from killing him first. Note: Return to Wonderland is set in the same universe as Cheyenne McCray's Wonderland series. Although you will meet many of the same characters, it is not essential to have read the previous books.

This is an erotic remake of The Wizard of Oz. Its the first in a series, although it would probably help if you read the first books in the other series starting with King of Hearts. I didn't and I felt a little out of the loop- but it was still good.

Abby lives and works on a farm with her aunt Maye. She wants something more in her life, so she decides to run off without saying goodbye. So she packs some stuff and her dog Wulf and is getting ready to leave town when (you guessed it) a tornado comes and sweeps her away! Abby hits her head pretty hard in the tornado and thinks she is dreaming when a very sexy man is bathing her in this wonderful water...

Lord Kir is the master of the wolves. Everyone bows to him and gives him the respect he deserves- except- this woman named Abby! Well, he's going to show her! Kir decides that training with him, and a strong hand, will force Abby to obey. What he doesn't realize is that he is falling hard for Abby, a day at a time. However, the longer Abby is in the Emerald City, the more she misses home... and her freedom. Can Kir learn to compromise so that he wont lose the woman he cares so much for?

This book is very hot! It takes a while for Kir and Abby to have sex, but when they do it's definitely worth it! This book has some light bondage elements, and its definitely about Doms and Subs, but its not too heavy. This was a really good book.

And they both lived Happily Ever After... THE END! ;)

Holy naughty land of OZ, Batman!

I'm just going to start with saying that my opinion of this book is totally bias. Why? Because I have a very real obsession with anything that has to do with OZ and ruby slippers!

Let me start off by warning readers off. It has a B D S M theme. Oh, yes the hunky werewolf King Kir is all about having his submissive little Dorthy ready to lower her eyes and with her arms behind her back and her pert little chest thrust forward.

However, Dorthy ain't so docile, she is not going to submit no matter what kind of yummy punishment is shoved upon her! This girl is a fighter, but she's not deluded enough to actually lie and say. Oh, I don't like any of this! The woman fully admits that some of it is totally hot, she just doesn’t want to play the whole Dom/sub deal 27/7. Of course King Kir has the token alpha male werewolf syndrome, and of course that makes him that much more hot!

I like it because it has some give and take by the end. You are throwing a woman in into a land were DOM/sub relationships are totally normal. She is not just going to be like Oh yes, tie me up and whipping me in public, I’m down! She has a very real reaction to the whole thing, even if it is a fantasy set up. I had moments where I even cried for her, because Kir was being so damned stupid. It is a quick read, and just damned sexy!

Fed up with life on the farm Dorothy Abigail Osborne, “Abby”, has decided it is time to cut loose and head to the “big apple” to live it up a little before she gets too old. So she wipes the pig shit off her boots, grabs her dog Otto, “O”, and heads towards her little red Mustang when lo and behold what should her stunned eyes see but a big old twister descending from the heavens headed right for her. With scant seconds to spare she decides to make a run for it hoping to out distance the funnel. But when her gas gauge pegs to E the tornado sucks her, O and the Mustang up and spits them all out into a world that she knows should only exist in a fairy tale. To bad the 6-foot plus of hot hunky male carrying her down the yellow brick road doesn’t know that he should only exist in a fairy tale.

While making nightly rounds of his realm Lord Kir, pack alpha of the mountain wolves and Ruler of the Emerald City, has come upon a red beast resting in the grass by the yellow road that leads to his city. On closer inspection he discovers, inside the beast, a growling animal keeping guard over an unconscious woman whom sparks his interest from first site. After rescuing and escorting Abby and her pet O back to his beautiful city of gems, Kir finds that Abby’s feisty personality and her luscious body cause his spark of interest to turn into a raging fire of desire. Yet along with the feistiness that Kir finds so appealing in Abby come a determination to escape Oz and return to her home of “Kanzaz” that might just stretch his patience to the limit. Being the undisputed leader and ruler of his lands he finds Abby’s rebellions against his authority to be intolerable; so when she finally does slip from his grasp he is utterly stunned. Abby does not know that she has been lured from Kir’s side by a crazed lunatic who will stop at nothing to enact his vengeance against Kir and that she has just become a pawn in a deadly game of revenge.

Since the last crack of the whip in KING OF CLUBS I have been anxiously waiting for the return to Wonderland with the story of Lord Kir. I had hoped that his tale would be a romping sensuous escapade filled with fun, action, adventure and oodles of hot sweaty sex and guess what… it was!!! Overflowing with lush description and quick witty dialogue OZ updates us on some favorite returning characters and debuts a new hot hero to come…I hope. I am happy to say that both Cheyenne McCray and Mackenzie McKade have done a spectacular job of recapturing the excitement and sexiness of the original WONDERLAND series books in LORD KIR OF OZ. I have only one bit of advice to give before you delve into LORD KIR… get ready to grab your ruby crusted Manolo Blahnik's stilettos by their straps ladies because this is one twister to OZ that you will not want to escape from any time soon.

This story is about a half wolf half dreamy man named Kir and a resident of Kansas named Abby who ends up dumped by a tornado on Kir's lands. This story falls firmly in the Genre of BDSM. Lord Kir is a Dom and King of his realm. If I understand corretly Kir wanted Abby to act as a Slave with him dictating all her actions and Abby wanted to be just a Sub with equal rights and considerations out of the bedroom. Abby is not willing to completely give up her freedom and when an evil Lord, whose name I think was Baldin uses Abby's distressed state to gain entrance into her mind and thus into Kir's Kingdom he wreaks havoc. The book soon becomes about the struggle for Kir and Abby to find a compromise before Baldin lures Abby away with the false promise of freedom. Abby is the other half of Kir's soul so if she leaves he will be destroyed. Apparently this is a spin off of another series called Wonderland. I liked the book and was very happy with the ending. The only thing I didn't care for was that it cost $6 and it wasn't even 200 pages. For an e-book of that page length that is very pricey.

So, something that comes from the same premise of the Wizard of OZ sounds good. But this is not it. Read the first book from the original series then tried to read this book. Ugh... I'm usually all for BDSM if done right, but this is just plain weird. It just didn't work for me, AT ALL! Then again the first book about the king of Hearts didn't really work for me so I'm not certain why I thought this one would. Everything is so far out there in La La Land that even though they say 'I love you' there is just no real feeling or emotion behind it.

What a freak-out! Takes "We're not in Kansas anymore..." to a whole new level! It was cute how McCray kept close to the names for Dorothy (aka. Abby) and Toto (an Irish wolfhound? named Otto? ROFL!) and how amazing this new world is with shifters and magic casters. The D/s communities here are intense and drool worthy, and the super-sado tendencies of Balin's "kingdom"... intense and what a delish twist of a classic!

Wish I would have read this book with the other ones in the series I would have enjoyed it more. The characters were good, found Kir to be a little over the top at times but that was part of his character flaw.

Delightfully entertaining. Couldn't fall asleep because I was laughing too hard at Kir's frustration at attempts to tame Abby. The only thing that prevented this being a 5 star rating for me was the unneeded villain kink dragging on in a few chapters. Lol ;)

Having not read the wonderland series I wasn't sure if I should read this book. Glad I did, it was funny, sexy and unique.
