Dark themed, action packed, mafia romance
This is the second story in the series and it could be read as a stand-alone story. For maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers, I highly recommend it be read in series order as there are reoccurring characters and an overarching storyline theme.
Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence such as kidnapping / abduction, torture, assault, attempted rape, fighting with some to the death, murder, betrayal, BDSM theme of dominance / submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure and punishment, sensory deprivation, etc.
This is a darker themed mafia Don romance. It contains subject mater, scenes and theme typically associated with the genre. Rosa Milano includes a “mafioso dictionary” of sorts at the back of the book that defines the meaning of terms that may be included within the story. This is nice as it provides a common understanding between the author and reader.
There are quite a few grammatical issues throughout the story, but i was able to understand and interpret without issue.
I don’t want to accidentally provide any spoilers, so I will keep my comments high-level and as non-specific as possible.
He is a Don with the Gianni family, but he has plans to become the capo dei capi (captain of the captains). To accomplish this, he needs to find the owner of the chip that was just activated, then claim and marry her. Imagine his surprise, pleasure and arousal that it is the beautiful spitfire that was protesting his purchase of the animal shelter just that vary morning …
She is brave, fearless and he hopes truly as submissive and exhibitionistic as she seemed that morning. He looked forward to molding it into his perfect wife … if he can just keep her alive and out of the hands of his enemy.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!

This is the second book in the Obsessive Mobster series each book connects to the one before it so you don’t have to read the first book however, it is helpful to read the first one. Dino is this sexy as all get out Mafia man who loves a challenge which what Rose gives him. Rose is beautiful, smart, stubborn as all get out, feisty and gives as good as she gets and that is what lands her on Dino’s radar and keeping him interested. So, no matter how many times she runs, screams yells he calmly tells her she is his wife and she will obey him. He being a Dom knows how to handle a stubborn little girl, he was very protective of his Rose and getting to know her was going to be fun but also enlightening but will it be enough for happiness?

Bland mafia romance

To be honest I kind of gave up on this book. I just found it to lack any depth in the characters and therefore very once demential. I wanted to like it and go through 80% before saying enough it enough for me. It had potential, however missed the make in my mind.
I did however find the different take on the mafia Don interesting.

I really enjoyed this book. It had everything that I would expect a dark Mafia book to have. There was danger, excitement and suspense. I like that there was some Dom/Sub parts to the book to add a bit of flavor to the steamy scenes. Now to talk about the characters. I loved Rose and Dino! Rose was a spitfire who wouldn't back down from much and was very determined. She managed to get herself into quite a few binds because of her stubbornness. Dino had this natural, in charge personality and was very protective of Rose. After they let down their walls and got to know each other, they made such a perfect couple. Really loved the book.

Match for Dino and Rose
The two main characters Dino and Rose are good for each other. The story begins with cheeky humor and Rose is funny. She is a beautiful young woman but is all over the place. I start to wonder about the story because it’s not really that dark, not complaining but it is different than expected. Next we meet Dino and sure he is alpha and capo, along with dark and brooding, but he mostly leaves Rose when she exhibits bad behavior. His discipline is mostly foreplay. Next the story takes off on a different direction without notice. I don’t understand how or why the changes. Again not bad but no explanation. I finished this book and yes there is a happy ending but the flow was off for me.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the second book in the Obsessive Mobster series and is much more than a mafia romance. Rose and Dino have a story full of drama, secrets, danger, mystery, family, lust and finally love. Rose is just the perfect fit for him. They both have a lot to work thru but find that doing it together is the only way. The chemistry between the turned out to be more than they could have ever expected. I thought both characters and storyline were well written

This started off well and overall it was a good story. There was lots of action and plot twists which was great. For me though the big flaw was the MFC...I'm sorry I just could not connect with her at all, she was a brat and immature! I just hate it when the FCs are all about their freedom and then cave so easily because their captors are good looking or good in bed! How these two fell in love is beyond me, they lacked chemistry and no way would an older mafia guy go for a woman who was constantly moaning and sulking.....sorry but that's what let the story down for me.

There was a book before this one and if you didn't read it, then this story is going to be a bit confusing. If you can suspend belief and ignore all these references to a story not right in front of you, then this is a good book. I liked that Dino came around and showed that Rosa was more to him than just a means to an end. Nevertheless, the author needs to realize that if someone didn't read the first book the second one is going to be confusing.

I loved the storyline and the flow of the story. The characters have great chemistry but it takes them a while to really trust each other and get to their HEA. Rose tends to be a spitfire, beautiful and gives as good as she gets. Dino sees that and it keeps him focused on Rose. She can run but she'll never get away from Dino. I did love how protective and calm he is with Rose. Once they let down the walls around their hearts they are a great couple. Rose just wants to protect the shelter for her friend and the dogs that they save. When Dino Gianni tries to demolish it in favor of building his new mansion, Rose puts herself in harms way to stop the bulldozers. While Dino is trying to deal with Rose when it comes to his new home, he finds out she's worth even more to him if he marries her. He plans to get her to marry him even if she says she doesn't want to. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

She had to go to the bank and open A security box to find out what her mum had left her, stated it would change her life. It’s Sunday so I have to wait until tomorrow, that’s when the fun starts.

We first meet Rose in In Debt to the Mafia but we only got a small bit of her, well this is her story. On Rose’s 18th birthday her father gave her a letter from her late mother that turned her world upside down. Now she is in a world of trouble and not sure if she can trust the one person who is trying to help her or not. ❤️🖤🩸🖤❤️

Well written and the characters came to life. Interesting story of a young woman who finds out is full of lies. And, a Italian mobster who wants to be king. The dynamics between the two main characters were very intense. The story was great. Loved it.

Loved Dino and Rose. This is the second book in the series. Dino met his match with Rose, but he was determined to tame her. Great mafia story. Recommend you start with Book 1 in the Obsessive Mobster series.

Dino doesn't do love, never has. Rose doesn't know about his work or anything. She has a chip that is very important but doesn't know it. That's how this mess started. She was forced to do stuff she didn't want to but got so much stronger in the end.

I enjoyed the book and will recommend the series. In my personal opinion, I would have liked more of Dino's and Rose's relationship and their family. I also think it would have benefited from an epilogue.
