Leaving him was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I have to put our people first. Werewolf City is at war, and I’ll do whatever it takes to turn the tides in the wolves' favor, even if it means stepping up in my new role.
The Paladins are a secretive people that I know nothing about. What I thought would be a quick trip into their lands turns into a fight for my life. The future Sawyer and I have dreamed of together threatens to crumble.
I’m torn. Do I chose love and a sure future with the man of my dreams, or do I follow my heart and save a dying people I know nothing about, no matter the cost?
Either way I have to make it back to him; I can’t imagine a life in which we don’t exist together

Quite honestly I am still debating whether or not I am gonna spend my time on this one. The second book really wasn’t my cup of tea, but I am also the type that wants closure. 😑 So consider this a “maybe want to read post😂”.
Holy damn fruit muffins!! Wow, what an absolutely crazy, wild ride this book was! I am not okay! Not even a little! Why would you do this to me Leia?!
This book seriously took me through all the feels. I can't really say what I expected to happen, but when I dived into this book I did not expect all that. This story was easily devoured in like 6 hours and if my health was playing nicely...it probably would've been finished a lot sooner. It's a book that will easily sweep you into it, just like disappearing into a portal would. It's that quick and effective. So it's the absolute best escape route you can ask for. So what are you waiting for? Take that dash and jump into that portal. You won't regret it.
All I can say, this book will take you on a journey with all the feels. There were so many scenes that literally tore through my chest and completely engulfed me. I can't say much on this, but be prepared to be made to feel things. It'll feel like you are right there in the story with Demi and it's a lot. I, seriously, think Leia enjoys messing with our emotions. And dang she's a pro at it!
Okay, trying to move past the whole torture aspect of this book and moving onto a brief summary of the story. So we know Demi has taken off into Paladin lands, (I know, hardcore decision making at its finest 😢), but being the Alpha of these wolves, she knows deep in her heart that she needs to do whatever she can to fix her people. To stop the land and wolves from dying out. But that means leaving the other part of her soul. Her true mate. In a time where literally everything is blowing up, like majorly. Werewolf City is at war and it's not looking to be in their favour.
But it's time for Demi to take her place. To be the Alpha she knows is inside her. With her pure and open heart she's willing to do anything to fix this...but doing this, is going to be far from easy. There is no easy options. The Paladins are a secretive bunch and have their own ways of doing things...which means Demi is going to need a crash course, to survive what's up-ahead, that's for sure. But she's determined to survive whatever trial and make her way back to her man...before everything she's dreamed about crumbles. Before the world she's only just finding her place in is stripped away. Before the war destroys everything good. Everyone is after her but Demi is stronger than she herself even realises.
I'll leave you with this short teaser, to help with any stress. Our girl is a survivor. Lean on that.
We were at war, and if I was honest, my time running for my life through the Magic Lands had changed me. I was a fighter, a survivor, a Paladin alpha.
I'll tell you, that even though this book seems quite short, so much happens within that. What I truly loved about this book, was the strength and power of friendship and the healing that can happen through the storm. Truly the strength of these woman (Demi and Sage) really touched my heart in ways I can't even express. I know I've probably said this a bit before in other reviews...but these two girls are the epitome of the purest friendships. That is all. #goals. So well done Leia for creating these incredibly strong women who can speak to our hearts!
And because we all need to at least acknowledge the swoon-worthiness of Sawyer...this says it all. He's most definitely a keeper. Leia please be aware I will remove your characters from you if you don't play more nicely with them...#justsayin 🤷🏻♀️😛
...we are not exact copies of each other, but we are perfect for one another. You are the one I choose to love, the one I choose to place all my bets on, my future wife.
Okay, my brains about done. Today has not been a good health day. But who's excited to devour this book? I know you're going to love it. It's definitely got some things that'll set you on a spin but you'll love it! So be sure to pre-order this baby so you'll be ready for its release on the 30th April. You can find it here ---> Alpha Girl.

Thank you Leia for this incredible journey, loved every torturous moment you put us through.
It's the shortest book but it covers the most time and the most happens? Weird.
This book was such a hot mess for me. Technically the most happens in this third book but it's honestly hard to tell with constant time jumps and rapid pace. There were huge plot lines that were never flushed out, like her pregnancy?! I'm sorry but what the fuck was that? It came out of nowhere and seemed like the author was just ticking off another trope.
Sorry if I offend anyone but the name Creek is so fucking stupid.
I just found myself so frustrated at how long it took her to find the cave. Like babies were being born as humans and in the end all she needed to do was ask her wolf for advice. Did I miss something?
Rab was my favourite character because he didn't take any of her entitled b.s. .
It was a short read, but so much better than the second book of the series. The first one is still my favorite and I really think it would have been a nice standalone book. But in book 3 Demi has to grow a lot. Going to the Paladins for help leads to her entering an alpha challenge. She has to go into the dark forrest and find a magic cave. She thought she could do it in three day but it took her one year to come back. In this time she saves Sage, and has to grow a lot, learns to survive in a magical forrest and so much more. When she returns she is so much stronger. And I liked her journey. I enjoyed reading the book.
The captivating story of Demi, a young alpha, from werewolf city trying to save her people as she faces immense challenges in not only saving her people but her mate as well. This book is very well writing and captivating however, it's very short. It felt like the author cut short the book to write a 4th one which could have concluded in this volume.
2 stars for the actual writing and plot as we continue this series!
For the vibes and nostalgia, I would give this one the full 3-3.5 stars. It's better than the second book, in my opinion, as we finally get into the Paladin life, and I felt like so much more happened compared to the second book. This series is still a part of my "nostalgia reads," so my review doesn't really align with the actual star review portion. I think there should be a harsh line drawn in the sand when reviewing it for actual plot and writing versus for the "good ole day" feels - as this series is still so very Wattpad coded (take a shot each time I mention Wattpad in my review). And considering the topic and tropes that it dives into, when I started the 1st book, I patiently waited for the pregnancy trope. Was it necessary, especially in the middle of a war? No! Did I expect it when I picked up this Wattpad-type series? 100%. I would have been more shocked if Demi and Sawyer had waited until the war was at least over before having a child. 🤣 Poor Demi having to survive in the wilderness to become Alpha AND be pregnant all before her brain is fully developed (seriously, what is she, barely 21 at this point?). Sage is the real MVP, though.
Also, fastest birth in the West.
And I cannot even begin to fathom that while she was lost in the woods for an ENTIRE YEAR, somehow 24,000 people fit inside a bunker that probably shouldn't have fit them all realistically considering it wasn't made with the Paladin wolves in mind. I could not wrap my head around that one or even come close to imagining it.
Seriously, what is this series? 😂😂😂 What a wild ride - but in the sense that it's purely for the vibes and finding a sense of humor in everything. As an actual book, it's pretty meh for the werewolf genre - I find it hard to find decent werewolf books, whether it's cheesy mate romance or straight-up balls to the wall horror, though, so I am judging pretty harshly. But I have read a plethora of werewolf stories on Wattpad in the past, so I feel less bad about being so nitpicky on certain things and tropes. I feel like the tropes for the werewolf romance stories are tripled for some reason - there's so many that happen in just one book, let alone a series.
That being said, I will read the fourth and final book of the series. I've made it this far. I might as well see how the series ends and how many more tropes it can knock out. 👊
*also, this series is entirely marketed to young adults - I am very aware. Teenage me back in 2013 would have eaten this series up in a day, no questions asked. It would have killed on Wattpad back then.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I don't remember the last time I flew through the book because of the fast paced plot! So much happens and so much time passes as well.. Demi and Sawyer literally have one scene together but hell..I loved the "rediscover myself" thing she had to do to prove herself as the alpha of the Paladins.
So in order to become the alpha, Demi has to go into the forbidden forest and find a cave, but the forest is alive in a way that it won't help the person seeking the cave unless they truly want to find it. So it felt like a sick joke when Demi went in with so much optimism that she'd be out of the forest in 3 days and we get an immediate time jump to 3 months later and she's as clueless as the day she entered the forest! You don't always see the main leads failing at some crazy task they set out to do and seeing her struggle through everything made it feel so much more real!
I didn't even care that Sawyer was basically non-existent here. This was Demi's book. And can I say that I want a best friend like Sage in my life? If your friend ignores actual warnings about the forbidden forest trying to "kill" anyone who steps inside and who isn't an alpha and still comes looking for you...you grab hold of that friend AND NEVER FUCKING LET HER GO. That's REAL LOVE right there people.
Warning - pregnancy trope, possibly the worst one I’ve ever read, too.
The first two books were enjoyable. They weren’t great, but they weren’t bad. And the plot was interesting. This one had to dumb down all of the characters in order to make things work. And even then it doesn’t make sense. For the entire world to end up in a war in a day? For her to not understand the reason for the war? Just all of it. No. And then don’t even get me started on the woods thing. That whole plot point was dumb, but the time jumps? Just, seriously where was the editor. This book is bad.
I started skimming at the first time jump, and I was frustrated at her lack of understanding of a super simple clue. Who doesn’t know what trust is? But then, at the end of that time jump…really? How did Sage make it there? And then there were multiple other time jumps. I was going to skim forward to try to figure out where the plot went, But it seems like it’s just all about the baby after that point because apparently there’s no other concept here for the plot to rely on.
It was frustrating, I’m irritated that I read the first two books, because this is a complete and utter waste of time.
I haven’t read the final book yet, but this one has been the best so far. The insta-love in the first two were just too much. In this one time passes and makes it more believable. And it focuses mostly on Demi being strong. I like that!
“I need to be alpha. I couldn’t let these people down, my people. I needed to do both. Be both a Paladin and a city wolf.”
We don’t know more about Demi’s background and who she truly is. She has the ability to save an entire race of shifters. But in order to do so she has to sacrifice almost everything. This book is about Demi going into the Dark Woods -
And learning to trust herself and having the ability to survive so she can come back out as a strong alpha for her people, for her family, and for herself.
She was away from Sawyer for a very long time and they both have changed and very dramatic ways because of everything they had to go through alone. This book was crazy intense. Absolutely loved everything about it!
All these books to leave off on a cliffhanger. This one we find out the Sawyer has been in prison and it’s going to be up to Demi to step up and be alpha to both the city wolves and the Paladins - and rescue her husband.
Demi proves her alpha ness in this book. She and Sage made me proud to be a woman. This journey for Demi was definitely needed and throughly enjoyed by me the reader.
What the whaaaat?! Wow, this book was crazy. I did not expect it to take this turn at alllll. I blasted through this book in like 3 hours because I could not put it down. And I desperately need the next book!
Alright, Alpha Demi, you're okay. I'm a little conflicted about this book because not a lot really happens. The war has full-on escalated, people are dying all around them, and Wolf City is frankly being destroyed as all the other territories have banded with the vampires all to get their hands on Demi's tasty power. It must really be potent!
Demi and Sawyer spend more time separated in this book and while Sawyer is still kind of a stage-five clinger at the beginning, he does mellow down when Demi makes her Alpha presence felt more strongly. She honestly has a better take-charge attitude and makes for a stronger alpha (imo) than he does. That said, though the war has escalated and though Demi is essentially the reason the war even happened, she doesn't actually spend a lot of time mixed up in it and we miss the majority of the battles, strategizing, etc., because Demi has to step up and prove herself as the Paladin Alpha. Again, disappointing that we don't see more of what's meant to be a big war between territories and (basically) the destruction of one!
But to prove her worthiness as Alpha, Demi has to go into the Dark Woods until she's shown the magic cave and can harness the power of the land and its people, and while it's technically supposed to take three days... we know that'd be too easy, right? 😉 The pace of this book is definitely slower as we spent so much time on the day-to-day of Demi surviving this trial and... it does take a while! That said, one of the things I've enjoyed the most about this series is the friendship that's grown between Sage and Demi, so I enjoyed the focus on them. I love their unconditional support for each other and how much they come to trust and care for one another—truly, ride or die. Give me more strong women and strong friendships like this, please!
Of course, there's even more drama at the very end (cue: eye roll), but at this point, I'm just ready to know how everything is resolved!
Okay so this one took a turn into another direction!
The last book wasn't my favourite one but this one surprised me! In the beginning as usual I was kinda skeptical about Sawyer he's just not one of my favourite character in these books. I still think he's whiney but at least he kinda let's Demi do her own thing. I was glad that Demi had to prove herself to become an alpha and had to go through some things before just being handed the alpha title.
RAB is a new character in the book and I really like him and Arrow. They both have a great sense of duty towards their pack and are more than deserving of having their own pack than Sawyer in my opinion.
I'm very curious to how the ending will look like, but I quite liked this book
I'm ok with serial books, but I hate cliffhangers. I wish people will stop writing them. At this point, I no longer care about the story, I just want to know the end. I'm not a patient person, and having to wait months for a conclusion is a good way to loose my interest.
Ummmm.... how did I not know that the next book wasn't out yet! I signed up for an easy YA paranormal series I could breeze through! Now I have to wait to see what happens! Ugh!
This book definitely did some things that surprised me. But it was still the same crazy dramatic action packed paranormal I've come to expect from the series.
SPOILERS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Umm.... who thought she was going to have a baby? I was like WHAT!?
I thought it was funny when she said I will see you in 3 days and then it was all 3 months later. But then you find out she was pregnant and things got real! And then it just kept happening! 3 months later again and again! And then she had her baby! I couldn't handle it! I was going crazy! I was glad when her friend came but I couldn't believe how much time had passed. And then when she finally did get home we didn't get that beautiful reunion where Sawyer finds out he has a baby! And that cliffhanger! Nope, nope, nope. I'm sorry I didn't sign up for this. I definitely thought we were going to get a reunion between the two in this book. AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT! I don't wanna wait! I want it now. Until then I will angstly (its a word now) be waiting for the next book.
Demi, you go girl!!! Hell yes. This book is badass. Or should I say, Demi is badass!!! It’s all about Demi stepping up and taking the role as alpha to the paladins, which is no easy feat. Demi goes on one hell of an adventure, physically and mentally to prove to herself and everyone she has what it takes. She goes in as a badass but comes back out as an alpha warrior badass 🙌🏼 if that even makes sense 😂 and there is a major twist thrown in there for us as well, I did not see that coming tbh haha… we don’t get as much of Sawyer in this book but that’s how amazing leia stone is, we didn’t mind because it’s all about Demi and her journey with herself and claiming who we all knew she could one day be. She overcome sooo much in this book, I cannot wait for the next because shit is going to go downnnn!! I feel sorry for anyone that gets in her way, bye bye bitches 😝👋🏽 #leiastone #alphagirl #bookrecommendations #bookreview
Another great book in the series of Wolf Girl!! . This one was an interesting ride and parts of it left me feeling a little blah, but overall I really enjoyed this story as a whole. It was a little fast paced in certain areas and some things were questionable, but I still found myself devouring it! I'm not as big of a fan of Demi as I was in the beginning of the series, at least not until the end when she finishes her quest. She starts to redeem herself in my eyes, though I think she is going to be super bad ass in book 4. I can't wait to see what's next and look forward to Mated Girl!
I'm not sure how much more my poor heart can handle 😭 Demi Spirit Moon is the best heroine ever she is one bad ass chick who kick ass. I was with her in the dark woods egging her on and the baby omg how adorable and Sage I do hope we get to read her story as well. Poor Sawyer I can't wait to read the next book and I'm sure it would be as brilliant as all the previous once.
Review by The Dragon Den * * * * * Oh my God! How have I only just got to reading this when I knew it would be so good? And it was! It was so good! Argh! I want the next book like now! A journey in a creep forest, a surprise to completely get you emotions going and an ending that has you gripping your kindle!
This is a great series I really enjoyed it. Big changes in this one. The world changes and goes to crap.
Vanessa does a great job on the narration and I like all the thought out characters in this series. The loyalty of sages friendship is amazing as well as the wee priestess.
I want to see where this series goes, but I'm struggling here! This is not my normal genre, and it is not catching me like I had hoped! This book is mostly about Demi and her Alpha quest through the forest.
It has themes of pregnancy, imprisonment, war, starvation, isolation, and more.
It contains a lot of action, dangerous situations, and suicidal ideations.
Single pov for most of the book, 1st person, present tense.
3.5/5 stars Such a fun, and fast paced series! Really looking forward to the next book and totally regretting starting the series before they were all out hahah whoops! Heck do they suck you in Ahhhh!
