Fire and Flood

Fire and Flood tells the stories of two young women, one near the beginning of history—at the time of Noahic flood—and one at the end of Earth’s history—at the time of the tribulation of Revelation.

Both women come dramatically to faith in God through the incredible events they encounter. Throughout Fire and Flood, readers marvel at the remarkable similarity between these women’s journeys and their own time in history. As the times women are living in today are equally perilous, with Fire and Flood they will be encouraged by the faithfulness of God to His people.

I rarely give 5 stars to books because I’m a writer myself and very picky. However, this book definitely deserves the 5 stars I’ve given it. Dawn Morris has created interesting characters and placed them into scripture, juxtaposing the flood narrative against the tribulation. I have studied end times prophecy for decades and I was really impressed. I kept double checking the Bible because Ms Morris included tiny little facts that can be easily overlooked. Very interesting, compelling and, at times, caused anxiety because I knew what might happen next. But, in the end, God wins!

Really well written biblical-fiction! Each chapter goes back and forth between the time of Noah (Genesis) and post vanishings (when all the Christians will disappear and the time of tribulation will occur as talked about in Revelation). Had me hooked from page one and made me crave reading the Bible to see where she was drawing her story from.
