She writes feisty heroines, alpha heroes, and panty drenching smut with happily ever afters.
WE BACK IN THE PLAYGROUND! And I am sooo in love with these charas!! This has a daddy kink so if that's not your cup you can pass.
We saw hints of Cooper and Melinda in the last book they both have been pinning from afar since Cooper thinks Mel is well Vanilla and wouldn't enjoy his type of kink being a daddy dom.. lil did he know Mel has been wanting and reading that she might be alil Vanilla but she is a closet inner freak lol. Also a shy adorable sweet virgin lol but when she sees the club it sparks her interest and her need for daddy Cooper.. ans they do take it slow since she's still a noob in this lifestyle but it's so delicious watching them but not everything runs smoothly there is some drama that happens that has Mel questioning things.. they do have a rocky part but I'm glad Cooper said he'll give space but not alot space he didn't wanna lose his babygirl.
Ugh COOPER GUYS HE IS Softish daddy!! Who loves alil public pubishments... (don't worry it isn't to bad) who wouldn't want a man like Cop.. we also got hints of the next 2 couples.. All I gotta say is Tessa is a brat.. and Ransom has his work cut out lol.

I honestly didn’t mind the book but it just wasn’t for me. There was bdsm within the book, that’s the main reason as to why I read it, the writer did represent the bdsm community in an average manner but there was no form of aftercare after their first “scene”. How can a “daddy” who is professional etc not preform aftercare on his sub anyways, maybe that’s my opinion.
The book in my opinion lacked a good plot and the lack of a plot caused the author to focus on the sexual relationship between Mel and Cooper. There WAS LITERALLY A LACK OF PLOT! And even the current plot made it feel like I was reading an awfully written Wattpad book, I may seem dramatic but I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone… I also didn’t like the lack of racial diversity and culture within the book but maybe I’m the only one who saw an issue with this.
The book was just mainly smut, if I had wanted to read a book that only included smut I would’ve just gone to tumblr or even ao3. The smut in itself was well written but there was a lack of “love” etc
this is what I get when I get a stuff your kindle cause it has a 4 rating, and think its a sports book cause I judged a book by its cover. My eyes started bleeding after the 1000th "daddy". I only finished it to.teach myself the lesson to not pick a book based on the above bullshit again. This was like getting a root canal without being numb!!!
When good girls aren’t as innocent as they may seem
So Mel is a bit like all of us - she likes her dirty books and lives vicariously through them, until Coop, the man she’s been crushing on for years, introduces her to the Playground and lets her know he wants to be her Daddy.
Lots of spanking, lots of dirty thoughts, some inner doubts but a HEA. Told in dual POV of Mel and Coop this fantastic story about a silver fox daddy and the sweet innocent (or so she seems) music teacher is brilliant. I love the way it instantly carried on from Book 1 and even though it moved to be focussed on different characters relationships than Book 1 it flowed perfectly.
Coaching His Babygirl, Book 2 of The Playground series, was about 42-year-old Cooper Crane, the football coach at Thurston Academy, and 27-year-old Melinda Young, the band teacher at Thurston Academy. Cooper and Melinda had been co-workers at the same school for three years. While they were both attracted to each other from the moment they met, Cooper didn't think Melinda was ready for a relationship with him. He believed her to be too "vanilla" and inexperienced. So he waited for her. He didn't know that, while she was still holding her V-card, she was extremely interested in the DD/lg lifestyle. She read a lot of romance novels about such things. The night they were celebrating one of their mutual friend's birthday (Darlene from Book 1), Mel's car ended up with a flat tire. She walked back the two blocks she had traveled to the restaurant but walked into the Playground instead. When the hostess noticed her (she remembered her from the dinner), she immediately had her sign an NDA before walking her over to where Cooper was chatting up another friend. To say he was shocked to see her was an understatement. As her curiosity spiked, it was up to Cooper to educate her on the type of club she had entered. Then he took her back to her car, fixed the flat tire, and followed her home to make sure she had no further issues. That was the beginning of their DD/lg relationship. There was plenty of angst and drama in this story, but there was even more spice, a touch of humor, a little heartbreak, and a whole lot of other emotions sprinkled throughout this book. While Melinda had been innocent at 27 years of age, she was no dummy. She knew what she wanted, but she was also a very cautious person. Coop, on the other hand, was quite experienced. Both of the main characters were well-developed and mature, with enough room for any growth they each needed. Although there was a misunderstanding between the two of them, neither acted immature or threw a tantrum. Cooper gave Melinda the space she needed to deal with her feelings about what happened, and she didn't shun him. Instead, she took the necessary time to process the truth and come to the decision that she trusted "her man". This was another well-written story that earned a five-star rating and a place in the Keeper for the Shelves collection.

Guilty pleasure, y’all.
I’ll admit, this is a trope I didn’t think I’d be in to, but wheeeeew, this is some sweet and sexy romances.
This was Cooper and Melinda’s story. Melinda is shy and Copper thinks she’s vanilla. After a flat tire and an innocent mistake, Melinda is introduced to the world of daddy’s and their little girls. I know it sounds crazy, but this isn’t age play. It’s simply alpha, possessive, sweet AF men taking care of the woman they love. It’s sexy and so damn sensual, it’s INSANE.
The angst in these stories tend to surround the FMCs. In this case, Mel is full of self-doubt so while the angst was heartbreaking, I loved seeing her grow and become confident.
And the steamy scenes? Mother freaking steamy. 🥵 I’m seriously loving this light(ish) series I’ve discovered.
1.5⭐️ I didn’t like this shorter book at all. The couple gets together with no problems. There’s no build up, it was too easy… where are the obstacles? Then when a “problem” is introduced *spoiler* it’s so reminiscent of high school it’s laughable… bc they’re also at a high school event. The problem shouldn’t have even been an issue. *spoiler* He’s kissed by a past date and she runs off and breaks things off? Bc of something that is not his fault? Are we teaching high school or are we acting like a high schooler?? Just no. There’s no real substance to the story after that either.
**Warning: kink**

EBook version. The underlying story is a cozy, minimally angsty, age-gap, coworkers-to-lovers with a sprinkle of kink HEA. Not a bad premise, but the execution was definitely lacking. The book itself desperately needs a good copyeditor and could use an extra run from a quality story editor (lots of repeated phrases and moderate amounts of "telling instead of showing"). The grammatical and structural issues, along with story inconsistencies (he pulled her close to kiss her but two sentences later had to move across the room to be closer? Is he Stretch Armstrong?), pulled me right out of the story enough that I mostly skimmed the last 1/2 of the book for major plot points and see if maybe there were more polished scenes that would give a glimmer of hope for future improvement.
Coaching His Babygirl was sweet, steamy and hot. Melinda's had a crush on the sexy silver fox, Cooper for years. On her way home she gets a flat tire and ends up at The Playground and sees Cooper. She's very curious and he's happy she's interested. I loved Melinda and Cooper. She was so unsure of herself at first then became so much bolder and confident. He was a great Daddy, so sweet and wanting his babygirl happy. These two heated up the pages and each other ;) Darlene and Colt were wonderful friends. I hope we get stories for Tessa, Ransom, Charity and Jasper too. I enjoyed the sweet little bonus.
I am loving this series. Cooper and Melinda’s story was so good. Mel has had a crush on Coop since she started as the new band teacher. Coop has actually wanted her just as much. Neither know about the other NA feelings. Coop doesn’t know what Mel would do if she found out he is a a Daddy Dom. You’ll want to read to see just what happens between these two. You won’t regret it. If you like DD/lg books, then you will really like this. Rory did a great job with these two characters and I was interested I. These two after reading Teaching His Babygirl. I can’t wait to see what happens with the next couple. This series is so good.
Band teacher, Mel, and older coach, Coop have been "dancing" and crushing on each other for a few years now. Luckily they have the same daddy/little kink, because they finally decide to do something about their attraction. So sweet- Mel's the perfect shy innocent little, and Coop is her perfect Daddy Dom gentleman.
The only con I have is that we don't get any background info on either of them. Are they alone in the world except for their friends or do they have family somewhere? Do they move in together and which home do they live in? I hope there's more info later. Now on to the bonus book.
Coaching His Babygirl was alright, but not amazing. I felt that things moved much too fast for it to be believable. It had a solid start but then it went 0 to 100 in a way that seemed too rushed to me. Especially since for a daddy dom in a full blown club, H neglected to go over any basic things with the h. Including things like basic safety, which is a cornerstone of any responsible BDSM play. I also felt that the "conflict" midway through was very forced and that there was no point to it. The spice was fine, nothing too extreme or even really spicy compared to other BDSM spice books. But if light bdsm with a slight daddy kink is your thing then this book is fine.
Edited to say I’ve thought about this some more and the three stars was generous - but I’m keeping it as is.
First - this review is solely for myself. If you enjoy this review (or book!) - wonderful. But I’m not including what went well or even praise in this one. If you’re looking for an impartial critique, best to look elsewhere.
Second - I JUST finished so my thoughts are still pretty tumultuous about this book. Idk if I HATED the book or just found it passable.
So - now that we’ve covered that - here’s what I thought.
I truly don’t enjoy when plots rely on the miscommunication trope, third act break ups, or OW drama. Unfortunately (for me), this book has all of these elements. I rolled my eyes pretty heavily at the insertion and contemplated closing the book right then and there.
The fact that Mel spent a good quarter of the book upset - but refused to discuss her concerns, hurt, and feelings of betrayal with Coop? If she were my friend IRL, there would be quite a few come to Jesus conversations had between her and I. I get that she was hurting and wanted to protect herself. But the reaction she had - AFTER the explanation that she affirmed she believed?? Nahh. Babes, fuck you.
The decision to add OW drama felt clunky - as if the realization came of “oh shit! There’s been no conflict so far, but I still need to write 100 more pages!”
If there’d been some indication or foreshadowing of it BEFORE it went down maybe it wouldn’t be so jarring. Maybe.
However, DDlg books have always been a soft spot for me, so I did finish.
I won’t lie, I kind of still wish I hadn’t picked this one up and I will need to think long and hard about whether I read any others in this series.

Mel taught the music class and Coop taught the football team. Mel and Coop had been circling around each other for over 2 years. Mel accidentally finds the entrance to the Playground and enters. Coop finds her there, she gets a modest tour and then he escorts her out. At school the following Monday the start talking and Coop asks her out to dinner. His next invite is to go back to the club. Mel accepts. This is a very nice love story with some drama and a HEA ending. You will enjoy it.
I really loved this one, these two were perfect for each other from beginning to end. Cooper is the high school gym coach & Melinda the cute shy teacher who has had a crush of coach cooper forever. he thinks she’s too vanilla & wouldn’t want a life like he wants to give, but curiousity gets the best of her & she eventually wonders into the playground, only he decides that if anyone is going to give her the chance to explore it will be him & him alone
tropes: coworkers, daddy dom, daddy kink, bdsm club
I read the first book and was.on the fence about Daddy and Little book series and decided to give this second in the series a chance. If this would of been book 1 instead of 2 I think I would of enjoyed the other book more because this one open that world up in a different way. I'm not 100 percent sold on the Daddy and Little world but so far this series is good because it hasn't dipped into a world I don't want to think about.
I loved Mel and Cooper’s story!! It goes to show that go for what you want, both of them wanting each other for three years before getting together is crazy! She needed him to be her daddy! Cool gave her confidence and strength to be herself just by being attentive and supportive to new things, her friends and her appearance! He got a babygirl that loves him unconditionally! I got the bonus epilogue and loved their sweet family!

This was a sweet, short, low angst Daddy/Babygirl love story.
It lost a star because even though it touched on a particular type of BDSM, there was an important aspect lacking: aftercare.
Both books I read in this series seemed to just be regular smut novellas with a slight daddy kink. Not really enough depth into the lifestyle to classify as a BDSM book. For that it lost another star.
The spice was maybe 🌶🌶.5/5 I just thought there would be more considering the basis of the book.
Melinda makes a mistaken entry into the Playground due to a flat tire. Cooper is there and tells her that he will help her to repair her car all while trying to block her from seeing too much. Accidently got to read this one before the first one in the series. This book was easy to read and very steamy. Enjoyed it tremendously.
Coop and Mel are cute and steamy all at once. The smutty scenes were good. My issue is that the storyline is weak and just moves at such a fast pace. Saying I love you after a few weeks. It just wasn't believable and I get that most people are reading it for the spicy scenes and don't care about the plot but I like both.
Mel and Cooper are both teachers, and they both have crushes on one another. After a bit of car trouble, Mel stumbles upon a venue called The Playground, where her eyes are opened to new possibilities with her crush. This story was really sweet, low angst, with a good amount of spice sprinkled throughout.
Melinda didn’t realize how her life was about to change after attending a birthday party for her best friend Darlene. Coop her crush is at the party & when he helps her with a flat tire so many things are brought to light.
What a fantastic book from someone who was has shy has they come and a virgin who turnt into a sexy sex manic women what a daddy can do for you when Coop called Mel his baby girl & kitten it made me smile
This was a supper cute, fun, fast read and I loved it a lot. It was basically like the first one just a little different because of the characters and the different plot but at the end of the day it was pretty good
This book continued the great story lines from Rory’s other book! I am never disappointed with these books. I loved the detailed play scenes. I also read the bonus chapter and hope that Rory will continue the stories of all the couples even the ones who have yet to become a couple !
She’s a virgin. He’s 25 years older than her and their first time together he’s really rough! And of course it’s amazing! Yeah yeah, whatever!!!!! Totally unrealistic.
