Wild Child is now live on all stores!! I'm so in love with this book! Here's a snippet from one of my favorite moments:
Melody was washing her hands when she heard a creak, like someone was moving around her bedroom. Turning off the water, she stood still and listened.
Another floorboard popped.
Every muscle in her body tensed. Although she’d been born to shifter parents, she didn’t have a shifter form to protect herself. Grandfather said mom had given her weak genes. I should call the police. Except her phone was in her coat pocket near the front door.
Breathing hard, she looked for something to use as a weapon. The only item in reach was the toilet brush, so she grabbed it and peered into the murky twilight of her bedroom. The blinds were shut, but there was enough light to see the bedcovers were rumpled, just as she’d left them. The closet didn’t have any doors for someone to hide behind. Maybe she’d imagined it. The building was old and creaky.
Heart thundering, she crept into the room. The top drawer of her dresser hung open. Had she left it that way? The last of her jewelry was in that drawer, her only hope of staying afloat until after the baby was born and she could land another job. She grew light-headed. What if he’d already been in here when she got home and she hadn’t noticed? The thief could be escaping right now.
Still wielding the toilet brush, she rushed toward the drawer and peered inside. She’d never been one for folding clothes, and her panties and bras lay jumbled inside. She gingerly nudged the lingerie aside, looking for the silk pouch with her jewelry.
It wasn’t there.
“Mother ducker,” she said out loud, anger displacing her fear.
She pivoted to the door. If the thief was still in the house, she was going to at least get a description to help the police catch the crook. How dare someone break in here and touch her things? She burst out of her bedroom into the small living area and collided against something solid. Huge. And living.
A giant, tattooed man stood between her and the exit.
Wild Child is an excellent shifter romance read in a series of standalone (seriously, they can all be read separately with absolutely nothing missed) Alaska romances by a group of writers. Wild Child is book 9 and is the story of a wolf alpha who has had a particularly bad run of luck in life, and a shifter born human woman on the run from an abusive relationship.
The book is written in third person omniscient perspective from both lead characters' points of view. Ash is our tattooed, bounty hunter alpha wolf trying to pay for the sins of his past and avoid more when he runs into Melody who is literally running for her life and that of her unborn child. They make a great couple, though the fight for their happy ending is very real. Ash was strong without being an absolute jerk, while Melody was sweet without being simpering. The trust took a bit of time, and their relationship got a good helping hand from a harried sister, but they made it.
If you like your romance with shifters, cold northern climes, spicy hot steamy scenes to warm up those climes, and a very loving cast of misfit characters, then you should give this book a go!
This was such a fun read, featuring a fated mates situation that was much more complicated than either character expected ;) It was smoothly written, fast paced and I loved the characters. Expect to madly flip pages when you crack this baby open ;D
A remarkable story of 2 alphas wanting the same woman. Set in Alaska, you can just picture the beauty of it. So well written, impossible to put down. Awesome book.
This is a steamy story, action at every turn, with wonderful characters. Pregnant Melody, a woman who runs away from her pack, is found by a bounty hunter named Ash. She is afraid he'll force her to go back to her pack and the evil alpha who wants her for his mate but only for financial reasons. Ash knows Melody is his fated mate no matter that she is pregnant with another man's child. Melody has never had her wolf so can she trust Ash when he says she is her mate? Another great story in this series!
Simply a Must Read! A tarnished Sexy wolf shifter Alpha Ash finds his mate when he least expects it as a bounty. He is on a mission to save to save his pack due to his mistake. Melody pregnant and on the run, hiding from a fake mate. She is fierce and funny. He is protective and his wolf knows instantly she is his. The chemistry between them is off the charts and HOT HOT HOT!!! Guaranteed HEA!
I loved this story the most out of the series so far... It started out mysterious and dangerous but continues on with the same mate bond theme of an unknowing female bonded to shifter male. He had to find a way to make her not scared of him and Dave her from her past. I loved that he without question accepted her unborn baby onto his pack whether or not she accepted him.
This wolf shifter world was a new one for me, and I found that I really enjoyed it. I loved that it was based in Alaska and I really loved Ash. He was a hero, even if he was a slightly flawed hero. Melody had to run away from her pack to find her strength. Wonderful HEA! Very enjoyable.
Melody ran from her pack and her Alpha fiancee to protect her baby. When a bounty hunter catches her, she knows her time is up. Ash finds his bounty only to realize she's his mate. No matter what happens, he can't let her go. Money or no, he will protect her and the baby.
Full of what my son used to call “the feels”, when he was younger. It ticks all the boxes for a great paranormal romance: angst, heat, trouble, twists and lies. But it all comes right in the end. 5✨’s
This was a fated mates story. There was a little drama. This is a standalone. There is some romance mixed in with the action. Medium to fast burn romance.
Tamsin Ley wrote another wonderful book in this series. This enjoyable story is about a pregnant Melody Rush who ran away to Alaska from Brennan a cruel alpha to avoid marrying him and Ash Huntington, wolf shifter/ bounty hunter, who is assigned to find Melody only when he found her discovers she's his fated mate. When Melody doesn't acknowledge the mating bond, Ash is now torn between his instincts to protect his fated mate and his packs need for the money by turning in Melody to her fiancé Brennan. Ash decides to take her to his pack. What happens afterward in this enjoyable story about Melody and Ash who have simmering chemistry between them in this well written twist and turn story line. This engaging ARC kept me reading to the end which I volunteer to review. This is a another great addition to this series.
Melody is pregnant, broke, and on the run. When she’s at her lowest point, a bounty hunter finds her. She doesn’t have a chance of getting away from him. But Ash is a wolf shifter, and his wolf is insisting Melody is his mate. He needs the bounty money to pay the mortgage on his land. So what does he do now?
Grab your copy and enjoy finding out how Ash and Melody work out their problems. The pace is fast, and Ash and Melody are a very appealing couple.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She runs away to Alaska to get away from an abusive alpha. She is pregnant also. She must marry this alpha to get her inheritance. Then a bounty hunter hired by this alpha finds her. He needs to do this to save his pack but surprise she is his fated mate. Now what does he do? So emotional, twists and turns, exciting and much more. A very hard decision for him to make. What does he do? Must read to find out. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
He is a bounty hunter and this bounty will be enough to pay off his debts. But the debt is a pregnant woman who his wolf says is his mate. What will he do? This is a unique and engaging story. He needs the money but she is his mate. This well developed story will grab you from the start and keep your attention throughout. You will not be disappointed with this book. I highly recommend it and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed reading this book, the interaction and chemistry between the characters is wonderful. This book, has a good storyline, it is entertaining, and filled with action and adventure. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I really like Tamsin’s shifter world, and this story has rich characters and a compelling plot. The pregnancy aspect was cool (gotta pee, gotta pee, gotta pee), and I especially loved Carmen, Ash’s sister and her kids. I read an ARC and am happy to offer this honest review.
Tamsin Ley and Aurora Shifters are back with the latest installment in their Alaska Alphas series. This is the ninth book but somehow they’ve managed to keep things exciting, new-feeling and just plain fun. I had a blast with Wild Child (Book 9) and can easily highly recommend it.
Strength comes when you need it most. Ash's past affects not only him, but the pack he belongs to. But when his attempt to repay a debt unveils a mate, will his honour demand that he turn her over? Or will he step up and become the leader needed?
What a story. Melody , pregnant and alone flees her homeland. What will she do, she refuses to marry the Alpha. As you get further in the story, it makes you want to help out. Can’t wait for the next one.
3.5* This book held my attention and some really good suspense. My problems with it that took the stars down was that it was a bit slow in the beginning and it really needs to be proofed. There’s a lot of mistakes.
