The Miami Knives, the city’s most dangerous criminals, have stolen my best friend. And I’m going to get her back. Growing up on the streets of the city has taught me everything I need to know. I’m no princess, and there’s no knight in shining armor to save the day.
When I find myself captured by the very men I was hoping to destroy, I’ll have to play their games. Suddenly, I don’t just have to save her. I have to save myself, too.
But I know them. Hell, I dated the ringleader, and there may still be a spark between us.
That doesn’t change anything. Every day will be a fight to survive. Every day, I’ll walk that razor’s edge between life and death.
If I don’t outwit the Knives, I’m as good as dead. Or maybe something even worse.
Killing Eve meets Sons of Anarchy in this dark romance reverse harem. This is a dark book which is only suitable for 18+ readers and contains content that some readers might find triggering.
I liked this but didn’t love it had some issues that affected my overall enjoyment I’m going to try and expand whilst keeping it fairly vague. So this is a dark reverse harem which if done right I do love. I decided to pick this up because the blurb had a den of vipers vibe which is a favourite of mine so I had big expectations going into this.
The story revolves around justice who after splitting from her shit-bag ex finds herself homeless and sleeping in her car. Watching something shady going down she finds herself the captive guest of a local drug gang. The boss-man himself surprisingly being her ex-boyfriend and also the former love of her life from way back when they were kids.
Sebastian or Bash as he now goes by has changed. He is also highly suspicious of Justice thinking she may be a plant for his brother whose head of the Miami Knives the group he originally splintered from. Bash’s method's for getting Justice to comply and spill information is to play her at the game he thinks she’s playing. He is convinced she’s manipulating them all and playing them off against each other so decides to let it all play out but with him in control. He refuses to show the weakness that he does care trying to keep distance so instead makes a deal with Justice that she stays with them but she is there’s to use.
We also have Zane who is the doc of the group and seems kind. Hassan I think does the books (I’m not actually sure) he seems quiet and also has some trauma in his past. Then there’s Skylar he’s apparently the psycho one but I didn’t really see it yes he’s brutal and deadly they all are but he didn’t seem that dissimilar from the others in terms of danger if I’m honest.
So my issues well there was a lack of background beyond the basic the backstory was there but didn’t feel fleshed out. Bash and Justices history was sketchy at best and never expanded on fully. I mean they were together for years but you’d think they just had a slight fling and there is a serious lack of further information about this time. Also, Justice's friendship with Iris the best friend she feels responsible for was so low on details so much so In fact Iris seemed just a vague impression.
Then there was also Bash’s inconstancies in behaviour. The impression was given that he was insanely jealous enough to beat a man badly in their shared past when he thought Justice had cheated with then now he’s just ok with sharing her with his friends. This girl he sees as the love of his life and not only that try and degrade her in the process the two just didn’t seem to mesh together and I also felt quite pissed with him that he could treat her this way. Doesn’t matter if she likes and gets off on it it also seemed contradictory because of their shared history.
Then there’s the physical violence towards justice there were a couple of instances that I found problematic. It wasn’t severe it wasn’t like she was beaten bloody or anything in fact it was hardly a blip really but it did bother me. less so with what Skylar did but more the occasion with Bash I’ll say it again Justice was the love of his life and he’d now treat her this way.
There was also a bit too much gratuitous sex and it was at the detriment of the story. Can’t believe I’m saying this as I’m all for the love but here the balance just felt off. I also wasn’t convinced that these men had fallen for justice or even respected her that much their actions totally contradicted their words and rather than this being justices harem it still felt like she was there as their toy. The harem itself also felt unbalanced and again backgrounds I don’t feel I got to know any of them fully and that includes justice beyond the superficial that Is. personality’s just seemed to blur into one, unfortunately. Hassan especially felt one-dimensional.
Also, justice is a bit of an idiot her actions definitely confirmed this when she went off half-cocked and was willing to go all Lone Ranger despite having muscle and backup on hand. I was pleased this didn’t end on a cliffhanger though so that was good you do get closure here.
So good bits the set-up was interesting and the sex scenes were super hot especially the table one this did have chemistry. It was also well written with lots of dubious consent and some degradation which was good and well done. It may seem like I wasn’t a fan of this and though I have no plans to read any further in the series it was enjoyable enough. I should also stress that I have no issue with the content itself it was this particular harem dynamic that for me was problematic and didn’t quite work. I just wasn’t feeling any real emotional connection to the characters here. unfortunately, it happens so it's the end of the road for me just my personal perspective it might totally work for you and it was definitely scorching in the heat department that’s for sure.
DNF @ 5% 😒 I tried. But no. The FMC seems like an idiot and has shown no backbone or common sense, let alone street sense, but wants to say how she used to consider herself a badass before the first scene of the book 🙄 There's also something about the writing style that was not working for me at all.
I know I didn't get very far, but it was a push for even that. There's no establishment of anything. Iris is her best friend - - because that's what the FMC calls her Not because that relationship is established or felt in any other way. The FMC has protective feelings about her but unclear reasons. But they interact like occasional acquaintances, at best. It's confusing. I'm not following at all The FMC is in hiding? Maybe? I'm not really sure. But she says that she was content to continue in some mediocre relationship with an asshat that she does not care for and who sounds like a pos. And there's a brief mention about her being the sole provider (working to pay monthly bills) while the pos boyfriend does nothing other than toss insults at her and openly cheat on her. But she'd rather stick her head in the sand on that... For reasons? It's unclear. What exactly am I supposed to think of her? Then there's something thrown out about buying her friend's contract? 🥴 I'm not left feeling intrigue, I'm just not following. And the FMC seeming to be an idiot just has me calling it quits.
I don't read a lot of RH, and I'm very picky when I do, but surprisingly I actually liked this decently. Not sure if I'll read the second book though 🤔
“Taming Justice” is the first book in Clarissa Bright’s new series Miami Knives, a reverse harem mafia romance.
It’s a steamy read, with a lot of similarities to “Den of Vipers”, but I found it hard to connect to the characters and the story. There are quite a few information gaps in the beginning of the book where the reader is left to make their own assumptions, which I found was really confusing. It’s never explained what Justice does, why her friend Iris is being taken by the Miami Knives, nor what/who the Knives are - some answers are found later in the story but I would have appreciated some information earlier on. I would have liked to know more about the friendship between Iris and Justice as well, they are best friends but very little information about their past or friendship in general is revealed.
It’s quite a common reverse harem set up, with a lot of insta-attraction and wants and it escalates fast once Justice meets the men, whereas I prefer when relationships are built slower and not only focused on sex. There are emotional connections as well, mostly between Hassan and Justice, but I found most of them to be quite shallow. I would have loved to see the past between Justice and Bash explored more, but maybe there will be more of it as the series progresses. The characters have a lot of potential and I’m curious to see how they will develop as the series continues - I definitely want to know more about Skylar.
The story has its moments even if it wasn’t entirely my cup of tea. There was a few things that bothered me, but that others might be perfectly fine with: there are several scenes with dubious consent, and also that they just jumped into having unprotected sex, no conversations had about protections or safety - it might not be a big deal but I prefer when it’s at least implied that the characters talked about it.
Although I wasn't entirely hooked on this one, I'm curious about how the author will continue the series. I would like to see more emotional connection between the characters, maybe some memories from Justice's past that explains/cements the relationship with Bash and her friendship with Iris better.
Right up my ally Mafia Mfm MF Justice is a strong female.
I’m unclear how she ended up with her ex I’d like to know a lot more about the background of all characters and what happened between 21 years and current.
I did like the narration but I would have preferred this as a duet instead of a duel narration. Skylers voice just changes a little too much between male and female narration.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the series once the audio is done.
Great start team Gifted audio in exchange for an honest review 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Zane - “Are you still okay with this? With us using you?” Justice - I laughed that time. “What, with being your sex toy?”
Justice and her men will pull you instantly into their world ! If you are a fan of gang RH romance then you will love this ! I loved the fact that it didn’t end with a cliffhanger ! The rival gang is a twist plot you just wait ! Justice is a strong FMC and I love the way that she is so surprised and slightly embarrassed by what her body craves from her men ! Bash is hard headed , the leader, is swoon worthy and love-able especially with his dominant side ! (Let’s be honest they all have a dominant side!) Zane is a freaking sweetheart !! But he has a sexy freaky side! Hassan is also hard headed , guarded , BUT he just needs extra love and comfort! Skylar is sexy , confident and psycho! But Justice brings out the best in all of her men and their dirtiest sides also! I can’t wait to see more of Justice and her men! I hope that these characters stories continue on because I need more !
I couldn’t get in to this book. I set it down and picked it back up several times trying to push through but I just couldn’t do it. This was an DNF for me. There are some plot holes that I just couldn’t look past. Justice is insistent on saving Iris because they are “friends” but there is no mention of what they have been through together or why Iris is so important to her. I also had a problem with the borderline dubious consent during some of the sexual encounters. While I can overlook things like that I think it should be mentioned as a trigger warning for more sensitive readers. Overall, I think the author is a good writer but needs a better editing and beta team to help with the plot holes.
What an explosive first read by this author! Executing the plot to perfection, leaving no room for mistakes or questions left unanswered. Her ability to pull the readers in right away, piquing their interest and maintaining their connection until the last page, was strategically accomplished and well balanced.
“I’m curious about you.” -Skylar
Every character involved in this story was well developed, their personalities phenomenal! Falling in love with each of these men for their uniqueness and individuality, and not to mention their ravishing demands while remaining gentle throughout.
“I see everything. And you are mine.” -Bash
Their protectiveness was on another level, while also allowing Justice her freedom. The writers ability to develop five completely opposite individuals into one setting, each character feeding off the other, was fascinating!
“Showing you what you deserve,” -Hassan
Each of these men possessed explosive chemistry with Justice. How they each spoke to her mind at various levels, increasing her desire for the future. I just cannot get over how these men were able to maintain a level head.
If I let her have me, if I gave myself to her the way I wanted to, I would be hers. And not just in that moment, but for good. -Zane
There were some sensitive issues throughout the book, so please take heed to the trigger warnings before beginning. Though I don’t necessarily find anything offensive, I understand there are some who would.
My feelings didn’t matter. Only revenge did. -Justice
And last, but definitely not least, what a badass heroine!! Her desire for revenge was phenomenal! And, she doesn’t take any shit along the way. Amazing execution of her character!
First off, this is one of the best reverse harem novels I have read. I am usually only into m/m/f and very few books with more romantic characters than that catch my attention. This is not to say I am not into reverse harem. It is absolutely a genre that I adore - however, I am often left feeling overwhelmed by the amount of characters I need to get to know and connect with.
That is not the case with Taming Justice.
Taming Justice left me biting at my lip, on the edge of my seat, and desperate for more as soon as I was done with the last page.
While Justice was hard to connect with right off the bat, I did find myself able to believe and understand most of the choices she made throughout the book. I adored every single character, with Hassan being my number one favorite, in all his delicious scary glory, and Skylar being my least favorite, as he just did not click with me a whole lot in this book. I fully expect a deeper dive into every single character backstory in future books that may solve this issue I have with dear Skylar.
The sex scenes were steamy, gasp-inducing, and overall a pleasure to read. No pun intended. The look into the Miami Knives was not as deep as some people might expect, but it was a great setup for it to be explored further in more books. It would simply be too much to include in one book.
Pros: No biphobia!!!! Actual m/m action that isn't laced in biphobia and shame!! YES! Well-written, believable, and immersive sex scenes. Diverse character cast. Strong, caring, and realistically flawed female lead. Solid and entertaining plot. Does not have the 'same character, different name' syndrome that many reverse harems have with their male characters.
Cons: As this is a setup for more books, we don't get quite enough information about some characters, namely Skylar, to understand their actions as well as we'd like. This isn't necessarily something I'd change but is something that I found myself slightly irked by.
Overall, I love this book and cannot wait for more. If you can pick up a copy I highly suggest it.
Taming Justice is the first work by Clarissa Bright and I have received this copy in exchange for an honest review.
Taming Justice is a dark reverse harem mafia romance. It featured strong language, adult scenes and explicit themes. The book is not for the weak-hearted. The setting of Miami is strongly represented by the name of the gang itself more than anything else.
The characters of Justice, Bash, Zane, Hassan and Skylar were well-developed and I loved their human sides as portrayed by the author. At the same time, the establishment of the secondary characters, especially the antagonists kind of blended into the narration of the story.
The language used is a carefully balanced combination of narration and description. There are works that seem to require a break to look up a dictionary beacuase of the vocabulary used by an author. This usually happens due to either the reader being a beginner of the genre or the author actually using pretty advanced vocabulary. Taming Justice was a beautiful visual treat by the language used by the author.
The story is about Justice and how she came to be around the Miami Knives aka her harem. Till the readers do not read the book halfway, they should not form their opinions regarding the behaviour, personality and the motivations of the characters. The author has chosen to employ a step-by-step plot reveals to keep the readers successfully engaged in the novel.
The mafia world of Miami has been made to run parallel to the night life of the city. While, a lot of the book is focused on taking the plot forward, there is also equal focus on the developing relationship among the characters.
As this is meant to be a part of a series, I can see the story moving ahead with a superb tale spun by the author. I can see myself being lured deeper into the world created by Clarissa Bright and enjoying all the action taking place in the course of the book.
Drugs, trafficking, a band of brothers and a kick ass woman who knows her own head and doesn’t let people walk all over her. Sign me the f** up.
I am not going to lie and tell you that this doesn’t remind me of Den of Vipers, because it does—but… dare I say it… This one might be better? 🥵❤️🔥 Taming Justice ticks all the boxes of what makes a good maffia reverse harem romance—a criminal set up, a twisted romance between 5 amazingly attractive people (and let’s be real RH is already by and in itself twisted but DAMN do we love it) and an actual 👏🏼 interesting 👏🏼 and cohesive 👏🏼 plot!
Clarissa’s writing is addictive and it’s all in the details. Plot and story aside, she writes in such realistic detail (someone scratching their nose, or an absent-minded flick of the hair, a quick glance between two people when a third doesn’t notice) it’s truly refreshing and I could really see it all playing out like a movie in my head and if that doesn’t tell you to go read this book, maybe this does:
Bash, Zane, Hassan and Skylar. Four men in a crime ring who know how to handle their drug business but in truth when I say business, I mean *business* 👀🍆 (also, did anyone picture Hassan as that one absurdly hot Turkish guy from Instagram with the cat videos or is that just me?) Naturally, with a group like this you’re bound to have a favourite and I won’t be honest if I said someone other than Skylar…. And Hassan. But also Zane? I like Bash a great deal but I like him the least (please don’t shoot me). Oh and boy—did I mention a sort of polyamorous relationship WITHIN a reverse harem? 🥵❤️🔥
Clarissa? Please keep your promise and makes this into one long-ass series because I need it. Thank you. I love you. Keep doing what you do—in the words of Justice, you’re a god.

Sometimes you find a book and sometimes if you are lucky a book finds you. And man was I lucky today, a gorgeous book found its way to me and I am so grateful.
Taming Justice by Clarissa Bright, a dark reverse harem mafia story, that had me hooked from the opening pages.
I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into other than some spicy reverse harem goodness, but I got so much more than that. Amazing characters who both scare the pants off me, but also charm the pants off you. A world that is so detailed and engaging that you will find yourself jumping out of your skin if you hear an unexpected noise in your house.
I found it really easy to get lost in this world, and found myself wishing and hoping that there was more to come, I need to know more about these characters their history, and what happens next.
Each chapter is voiced by one of the five main characters and each has such a distinct voice and distinct mannerism that you find yourself connecting with each chapter in a different way.
The way in which Clarissa choose to share and divulge information was genius and always felt natural and nothing felt forced. The spice was absolutely show stopping and gave great insight into the characters, their inner dialogue and the relationship between them.
I throughly enjoyed the action and intrigue as well as the moments where I found laughter, what I didn’t expect was for the tug on the heartstrings that happened throughout that had a lump forming in my throat and my heart to skip a few beats.
I highly recommend giving this a read, it will surprise you, captivate you and hold you hostage.
This is my first read by Clarissa and I really enjoyed it!! This is an intensely wild and hot reverse harem with a bit of second romance, along with a gang/mafia storyline. There are a few slight potential triggers - some violence, past abuse - so if you are a sensitive reader, please tread carefully. I loved Justice, this woman got handed a horrible hand but she kept her head down and just kept pushing. This woman is so strong, she’s willing to sacrifice her life to save others. Her men, oh my sweetness, her men are something else. Zane is the sweetheart doc, with hands that can work miracles and kill along with having a heart that will make you melt. Skylar is the deliciously smooth Brit that has a bit of a hard on for killing. Hassan is the broken one that is in the process of healing - his backstory is heartbreaking. Last, but not least, there is Bash - this man is everything a leader needs to be and so much more. Clarissa didn’t slack with the steam, she poured gasoline straight on this and lit it up. The plot unfolded nicely and had me on the edge of my seat with trying to guess what was going to happen next. What took a star away were the time jumps that didn’t flow to smoothly, they had me flipping back to read previous bits to make sure I didn’t miss anything - BUT it didn’t distract me too much from the story. I am definitely interested to see what Clarissa brings to the table in the next book in this series.
I am new to Clarissa Bright's writing and this was a very good book to start. Claiming Justice is a Mafia RH romance with a bit of domination. The RH has a lead male, the roles did not feel equal in the harem. There is also a bit of M/M action as well, not as much as I would have liked, but a bit. Justice was hard to connect with at first. Her character was all over the place and became a bit annoying with her constant fear. Once she got past her fight or flight emotions, you were able to see she is a strong female with a definite mind of her own. She doesn't want anyone else to do what she feels needs to be done. She wants to be in the middle of everything.
The men are strong alpha-hole males you would expect in a mafia setting. They are afraid to admit their feelings to themselves and the others. They constantly talk of "using" Justice as their toy even though they want her as more than that. I liked the men, I do wish that we had more backstory with Skylar, but maybe we will se that in the second book.
This book is not a cliffhanger, but there is another book in the series. I am definitely looking forward to Book 2!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
🔪 “You’re mine… Mine to do whatever I want with.” ~~~ Justice is in a difficult situation. She’s strong and determined to do anything to save her friend. I loved her feistiness, bravery and strength to keep pushing despite her fears.
And then the men. Oh, where do I start... They are violent, bossy, dominant and brutal. I loved their unique characters. Skylar was such fun, Zane was sweet and caring, Hassan was a bit broken, and Zane - he was everything a mafia leader should be. And when it came to Justice - they were so fiercely protective.
The development of their relationship was awesome. There was some mistrust and misunderstandings. But their chemistry was undeniable - it was intense, sexy and deliciously steamy. And, oh, how I loved their games. Did I absolutely love what happened on the terrace - yes, yes I did!
In addition, the storyline was very intriguing and kept me on my toes and excited to see how everything will develop with the gang rivalry.
Overall, the story is a wonderful read filled with danger, action, suspense, twists, steamy and dark romance and magnificent characters.
I loved it and cannot wait to see what happens next! ~ I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Full disclosure I was given a free code to listen to this on audible (review also there) and I don’t think under normal circumstances I would’ve read it - mafia dark romances typically contain subject matter I tend to dislike & I would’ve appreciated more clear trigger warnings (such as the drugging & assault of the FMCs best friend & degradation) but overall I enjoyed listening to this story and was surprised at how well the story tied up with a satisfying ending.
Spoilers beyond this point: The level of angst in the men was perfect and I loved that they all fell for her in different ways/for different reasons, all before her former high school sweetheart caved, and that they were all very different men with well rounded backstory despite being in the same business and a tight knit family. And his revelations towards the end were heartachingly beautiful.
My only other complaint aside from the lack of clear trigger warnings was with the narration; it was stilted at times and there was a lot of weird pauses that I couldn’t tell if were poor audio quality or if they narrator made. But it made listening choppy & a little hard to follow.

In this book there is an entire duplicate paragraph on one page and at the start of every chapter there is an image with .png written underneath. You can tell that there has been no editing whatsoever. The story is everywhere and the FMC is confusing to say the least. Unless she’s intended to have some kind of mental health issue that hasn’t been addressed yet it’s almost like the author hasn’t decided on the FMC’s actual personality so has given her several, the fighter/the nympho/the cold fish and the imbecile who has no self awareness and needs protecting from herself. If ever there was a character that should not be allowed to make their own decisions it’s this one… The male characters seem more rounded overall and likeable. Which begs the question what do they see in the FMC?! I’m vaguely invested just because I want to see if there is any kind of character development or if I’m missing something… but I can’t envision myself reading much more of this tbh unless it VASTLY improves and I start to care about the FMC
Justice has had a rough life the last few years. She has an abusive boyfriend, and thru a disturbing turn of events, finds herself homeless, penniless, sleeping in her car. She’s trying to find justice and peace for herself, but it’s not working out well right now.
Justice sees something that she shouldn’t have…and she finds herself scooped up by her ex boyfriend who does drug deals in this parking lot. Bash was the love of her life, and for a moment I worried that they were going to torture her. They had a much different proposition for her: a job as their sex slave. She belongs to them, she is there for their pleasure. She wants to hate it…but does she ?
This is a high heat book, with lots of mistrust between the characters. There’s a lot of misunderstanding, they keep a lot of details from her, and she often wonders where she fits. Triggers: consenting non con, humiliation, degrading moments, sex trafficking, knife play.
I really enjoyed this book! It was funny, filled with emotion, and really poignant.
Justice is trying to save her friend Iris after her soon to be ex traps her in a sketchy situation. Justice ends up witnessing a deal and is chased down by members of the Knives. She is taken hostage by Bash, Hassan, Skylar and Zane because they believes she knows something. She becomes their "slave" and is treated as such, they are a bit too demeaning for my liking, until they can get what they need out of her. Apparently Bash and Justice have a history, so its a bit of a second chance romance for them, but the other guys are new to her. Things get hot between them and a group dynamic emerges. The details on everyone's past is a bit thin, I was a bit confused about who the Knives were - Bash and his guys or Bash's brothers crew and how they separated was a little confusing and the dynamic between Bash and Hassan had some clarity but Zane and Skylar did not. Generally well done with lots of action and steam. Maybe some answers will come in a later book?

This book took me a while to get into. Not sure if it was me or the book though. I say this because the writing is good, the story is decent even if I did have trouble keeping up at first. It wasn’t until 25% in that I started getting into the story and then I couldn’t stop reading, I needed to know what would happen.
Justice is hiding from her jerky ex who has her best friend captive. This whole thing confused me because we didn’t see the relationship between Justice and Iris much and it made me wonder why should Justice care so much? I think that should’ve been developed a bit more. She then gets kidnapped by another ex, this time her first love, and is kept hostage because they want to know if she’s a bad guy. Bash, Skylar, Zane and Hassan were all really intense characters and they were jerks at first but that was just to mask the fact they wanted her. The sexy times between her and all men were really hot, I just wanted more (Ok, I ALWAYS want more when it’s good).
Will I read the next one? Absolutely. If you like gangs in your books, definitely check it out.
I was sent a copy of this book for an honest review for the author . I Loved this first book in this new series . I love dark reverse harems , and this one definitely did not disappoint. The book starts out with Justice's best friend Iris, being taken by Justice’s ex boyfriend, and his crime organization. Justice will do anything to get her back and keep her safe. But soon after, Justice finds herself in her own trouble when she gets kidnapped by a group Of drug dealers. She now has to play their game to keep herself safe and to find Iris in one piece. Only she likes their games, and so do her four captors. I loved the idea of this story, I think this series has so much potential. I do hope to learn more about Justice And Bash’s past together. There was so much sexual tension between them it was almost painful. I loved how this book didn’t end with a cliffhanger and there was somewhat closure, but you know there will be more, which I’m super excited about. I’d highly recommend this book, this is a new author to me and I’d happily read more of her work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This story had it's moments for me. It was mostly with the confusing back and forth dialogs in some of the situations thatstarted one way and halfway through ended another way.
It's the typical RH enemies-to-lovers trope. Justice is, I'm assuming, a stripper (though the author only alludes to this). She gets involved with Adam, a member of a gang called the Knives (not sure if she knows). Her best friend ends up getting taken by them when she finds that Adam was using her. Left with little options she ends up depending lowlifes and killers from a life she thought she got away from.
This is the first book in a series. It's not a bad book, but there is a lot of knowledge that the author expects the reader to assume. Usually it can work as the story unfolds, but in this case it never becomes clear enough
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
first the narrators did a good job, the female narrator stumbled a couple of times, but overall it was a pretty good tempo.
the story itself really interested me, it has good bones but feel it would of needed more expansion on their backgrounds. a lot of the things didn't make sense on why the characters were doing what they were doing.
also the back and forth with bash and justice was a little too much. it was like wipe lash and I'm not even sure what reasons they either didn't or did stay together. ie she left him because she wanted him in the family business but then she didn't want him in it. he saying he was always going to end up in it, but wouldn't have if she stayed, but then says he would of anyways been in it even if she had.... literally can't figure out what they were actually talking about. it was very confusing at times.
I still gave it three stars as again I do feel this story has good feel, just needs a little more to it.
Justice escapes her douchebag boyfriend and ends up sleeping in her car. She sees something that’s she not supposed to so is taken by a local gang. The leader Bash is her high school sweetheart and love of her life but is no longer the boy she knew. Along with his friends, Zane, Hassan and Skylar, she now belongs to them in order to keep her quiet and hopefully get her the help she needs in rescuing her BFF from her ex! He happens to work for Bash’s brother and they are already at war!
I’m not sure what I’ve just read. It was a hard read and gave me readers block. I’m not sure why she was intent on rescuing the friend. I know she says they were BFF and she feels responsible but it’s not really clear why as it’s not explained that well. The story has a promise to be good but then there’s all the sex. One small things happens then it’s 15 minutes of sex so it all seems a bit pointless. I’ll try the next book but I’m not sure I can finish this series
Well after reading this book i felt lost, I need more lol it was brilliantly written and I felt drawn in from the moment I read this. Justice what can I say about this warrior, shes such a badass just wish she could see how loved she truly is, Bash omg the alpha of them all but I can tell his story is far from over there is just so much we need to explore. Hassan seems to be the mysterious guy. Skylar well he makes me giggle in all the wrong ways he's such a grump bit like bash but I dunno he just seems straight to the point and then there is my favourite the beautiful Zane, as soon as I started reading about him I knew I would love him, he seems so gentle and caring and I dunno it seems as he's the odd one out of the family. I mean I do love me a little sausage fest and I was quite jealous of justice and the fun she had lol
Honestly as someone that loves gang RH I couldn’t of been luckier to stumble upon this find. It’s this almost whirlwind of a head 🤯 but it’s exactly what the FMC is feeling or at least that’s totally how I would feel and do for a huge chunk of the book and not in a bad way! The guys just wow… the steam in this book is off the charts. Anyone who has read this knows what I mean when I say the meeting room table… anyway… The guys all have their own different traits and quirks and I love that we also see multiple POV across the book. I love Skyler (a bit crazy) and Hussan (a bit broken). This first book holds a lot of character and world building *cough*HotSteamyFunTimes*cough* 😋 but still has some action and intrigue and I think this will come out a lot more in book two which I most definitely am looking forward to! 🖤
This was a decent book. It was well written. It was not entirely my cup of tea but that doesn’t mean it’s not the perfect book for other people.
I would say at least 50% of the book is sex scenes. Which I typically don’t have a problem with. In this case most of the sex is dubious consent at best. The opening scene has an instance of sexual assault. There’s instaust with the harem. Again, I usually like instalust but in this case her harem abducted her and were also somewhat abusive.
When the plot started moving forward (around 55%) I enjoyed the storyline. I will likely read the rest of the series as they release to see the storyline through.
This may seem silly to some, but my biggest problem with this book (and the reason I went 3* not 4*) is the lack of lube. No one is having anal sex without lube and enjoying it.

This is the first book I read from this author and I couldn't put it down. This book was a page turner right from the start. Justice is struggling to come up with the money to save her best friend from being trafficked. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time she finds herself abducted by some of the members of the gang that took her friend and their leader is her ex. This was a hot, intriguing and entertaining story as both parties try to break each other. Bash thinks Justice is working for his brother and knows she is hiding something and Justice doesn't know if Bash has something to do with her friend being held and doesn't trust him and his entourage. Love Justice and how strong and feisty she tries to be even when the cards are stacked against her she will fight to the end and I wouldn't mind being held by these guys.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
