This book was ahead of its time and most of the techniques discussed are largely applicable even today. What makes it stand out is that everything is based on practice, not just regurgitated theory. Of course, there are some caveats that not everything is applicable verbatim in every bioregion, but nonetheless the book gives a solid foundation from which independent testing can be carried out.
There are lot of nuggets of wisdom dispersed throughout the book, and it's difficult to go back and find them all when the need arises, but it's a small volume so this is not the biggest of issues.
I am just getting started with doing gardening. I have read a lot on the subject, but this small book showed me step-by-step, how to do gardening in a way that promotes the regeneration of the soil and health of the soil and the plants. It addresses the root cause of pests and diseases in the garden.
The illustrations and pictures helped me a lot in understanding everything clearly. I have not had the opportunity to implement all the principles from the book, but I cannot wait for the next season to do so.
