A powerful guide to transformation, this book takes you on a journey to the center of your consciousness. It helps you uncover the "hidden code" that has been shaping your life. This "hidden code," your "I am", is precisely why you keep re-creating stubborn patterns instead of manifesting your desires. At the beginning of the book, you will understand why and how your personal reality works the way it does. You will understand why things seem unchangeable, when, in fact, they are just one of the possibilities you can experience. You will learn how deep assumptions that we make about ourselves shape and define our reality. Even though these assumptions are hidden, they manifest as fears, anxieties, depression at the level of thought and repeating conflict, toxic relationships, and being stuck or creatively blocked at the level of reality. You will also see that this personal reality extends much further than you might suspect. Why is this important? It is important because your ability to transform reality goes far beyond what you may perceive as in your power to change. You will learn a signature process called Identity work. Identity work investigates your reality as if it was a reflection of what you deeply know about who you are. We hold the mirror of our reality to point us back to one thing that can change it . Your Identity, your "I am."What happens with people when they start looking at reality as a reflection of their consciousness and let go of all the thoughts they mistake for who they are? They find confidence, and connection to their true life purpose, they find themselves in a state of creative flow and synchronicity, they find resilience and courage to change their lives, and they become happy. Other people report finding unexpected solutions to problems they couldn’t solve before. This is because our Identity is a thought through which we filter all of our thinking. To find new and creative solutions to problems one must drop all of their old assumptions. The biggest assumption is the "alpha thought". It is who you think you are. Another amazing thing about going through the process of Identity work is how fast you begin manifesting the kind of reality you want. Things align, as if by magic. You become much more precise in what you manifest. This happens because you don’t need to learn how to manifest, how to raise your vibration, or how to visualize as you are already a master of creating reality. You just need to understand and let go of why you keep creating the reality you don’t want. This book is a guide to what some may call working with one’s shadow or doing inner healing. The biggest difference with common self-help approaches, however, is that the Identity work and the philosophy behind it point you to a place where you are already complete and whole. You do not have to be always in the process of healing. Identity work is a fast and effective process compared to most therapy and coaching modalities. It is a door to self-love that you may have only felt as a child. “I am” is a deeply spiritual book. Its metaphysical nature, however, doesn’t get in the way of being completely common sense. It works whether or not you believe in the philosophy behind it. You may not be interested in new-age or enlightenment literature, but you can make the inquiries work for you and see real results. The second part of the book will support you through the process of life change that will inevitably follow your insights. It will show you how to stay calm when things get scary, and how to address money fears and relationship concerns. The book will help you to overcome mind objections and stay the course until you see your life become what you want it to be.
What’s wild, is that I grew up applying a lot of these tactics and ways of thinking / deconstructing identity, without even realizing it. This was such a lovely reminder that we are the ones limiting and defining our realities.
Whether you want to feel more courageous, implement new habits for your daily routine, stop worrying or become more productive, self-help books have the ability to help you unlock your potential, and have you feeling happier and healthier. According to the mental health charity Mind: ‘Self-care techniques and general lifestyle changes can help manage the symptoms of many mental health problems. ‘They may also help prevent some problems from developing or getting worse.’ Talking about self help I would like to share a book that I just read. The book is called “I Am: A guide to transforming reality and creating the life you want”.
“I Am: A guide to transforming reality and creating the life you want” as the title suggests is a self help genre which tells a lot from its title, it tells the first time viewer about what it offers to the reader and gives them a reason to read the book. The cover being equally attractive both make a nice duo. For me personally it was the description that pushed me read the book. It bridged the gap between wanting to read and actually read the book.
This 270 page self help book has a lot to offer. For a reader who’s looking to transform his/her life to a more conscious living and enhancing the experience of life, this is the book that I would suggest. The book talks about the process called Identity work. Now basically we spend most of our lives in our head and we all have a perception of ourselves which contradicts which reality and when we get this reality check we sometimes panic ( that’s when you fee help less) but the book guides you to the whole process and gives you secret mantras. Not just a guide or a rule book. This book talks about the journey of author and that reference was really helpful for me as a reader. Not just this I would say the after effects of reader this book are unreal. I am loving this experience and would really want each reader to experience this. I am sure you guys need a book like this so what is it that you are waiting for?
The author has a gift for communicating complex ideas in a concise and clear way. This book helped me to see the role my identity plays in shaping the reality I inhabit and gave me tools to transform it! I can't recommend this book highly enough.
My favorite quote from I AM by Anya Lincoln: "To be a truly effective agent of change, the only thing you need to do is address the Identity that separates you from oneness in yourself and anchors you to the problematic reality shared with the people you want to help."
If you are a spiritual seeker who wishes to awaken the creator within you then it's a powerful manual for you. The real key to change lies within our identity of I AM.
The book has a total of 14 chapters, in which each chapter will train you to know 'the kind of person you are' as identity shapes inner experience and outer reality and 'why you are not getting the life you want'. When we know the problem then it becomes easy for us to find the answer and without knowing the problem most of the people are only looking for the answer.
The message in this book deserves the most uncluttered, unapologetic clarity, just like you deserve to know how truly powerful and important you are. Remember Don't wait for others to join you. Be the first Even if you are the only person who sees a possibility where others don't yet, embrace that possibility. Act on it. If you are the only one who can connect with love, kindness, health, unity, do it first, and do it unconditionally. You may be alone, but you will not be alone. Life will support you every step of the way until others get involved.
To create the kind of life we truly want, all we need to do is change how we think about our goals and destinations. In this book the author guides you through a different way of understanding the nature of reality, the self and relationships, using a practical approach. The self-enquiry methods she develops to help you gain insight, change perception, and live differently are all available in this book.
I would recommend it to anyone who really wants to create the life you want. It is truly a masterpiece and insightful on the journey of self discovery. The interesting thing about the book is that it will transform you rather than tell you how to transform.
This book talks about transforming your reality by letting go of your identity.
It starts with a detailed explanation of what identity is and shares a couple of stories about how identity influences people. After that the author shares 3 different types of inquiries to uncover and let go of your identity.
I find doing the inquiries very challenging, but as with everything in life that can really have an impact on us, it's not quick and easy.
One thing I truly believe is that this book has tremendous power, I just have to take action and unleash it.
In summary I can say that this book is truly worth checking out if you want to gain some profound insights about yourself and really create change!
Having JUST read I AM: The Power of Discovering Who You Really Are by Howard Falco I would be a bit biased in my rating of this one.
That book was easily 10 stars out of 5 where as this one was 4 or 5 (out of 5) at best (if I was to exclude my bias and if the narration was better). The topic of "identity" she covers is vitally important in life. There's NO doubt people will get a LOT out of this book.
One of my biggest gripes is the narration. This was read in a bit of a stern and robotic manner. It feels rigid and too calculated. Like each sentence is read in a certain predetermined way.
To be fair it doesn't AT ALL sound like the author intended to give a less than a 10/10 performance (meaning she definitely comes across as meaning well and seeking to help). But nonetheless the narration felt more uptight, systematic and rhythmic (in an unnatural sounding way) than you would've liked to hear.
There were also a few parts that were rerecording (and both parts were left in the final audiobook) which is always a strange thing to hear as it's a VERY easy thing to catch upon listening (and also via the transcript the producers could have looked at).
"I do believe that each one of us can become the tide that raises all boats."
A guide to looking at the beliefs that shape your life and some strategies to consider why you hold them and how to change them. A reminder that we all create our own reality. If you want to change your life change your thoughts.
