I have read a fair number of this author's books on spiritual and metaphysical topics. In general, I have found them to be easy to read, with information that added to my current knowledge of the subject. Trusting this author, I chose this book at one of my book review sites. Previous to the book, I knew nothing about Vedic astrology other than it existed! The author states in the introduction that this book can be helpful for beginners or experts in Vedic astrology. Unfortunately, I have to disagree. I am a rank beginner, and I got confused right away in Chapter 1. Although the author did say this book is for beginners, she throws around a lot of terms and phrases without much explanation. I ended up getting completely frustrated and DNFing the book, the first book of hers where I’d done so. If you already have some grounding in Vedic astrology, you might find this author's insights helpful, but if you are a rank beginner like me, you will most likely get lost in the thicket of unexplained Indian words.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
You have to have a little bit more knowledge of verdict astrology before you read it. Info .about the diff. Houses and things of that nature before the knowledge of this book is fully understood. But it is a very informative and good written book I enjoyed adding the knowledge it contained to my brain .
It tries to demystify a complex subject. It succeeds only with the introduction. This is intended to be a beginners book but falls short. Concepts are tough to grasp for an absolute beginner, they could have been clearly written. It does touch upon many aspects, however without a clear idea, it just becomes a book for jargon. Will not reccomend it as a read.
This was an awesome read. Very informative and love the explanations and structures. This book is awesome reference book. The knowledge in this book was very helpful for me. Will be using this book a lot.
