Good poly story, but narration could be better.
Polyamory is a mystery to me. It is not something that I wish to explore in my own relationship but I'm not averse to reading about them in real life or in novels to find out how it all works. Unfortunately, there aren't that many poly books in the lesfic world that I know of and this is my first.
I'm going to say that this one is pretty good because I was bought over by the end of it and I could see why the arrangement works for Maya, Jocie and Loren. Each of them has a unique chemistry with another person that is made a little more interesting with the presence of the third person. Maya is a grocery store manager who gets to know hotshot sports agent, Jocie and associate professor, Loren on the same day and is asked out by both women. Maya, who has never had that much female attention showered on her before, decides to date both women separately. Jocie and Loren have a complicated history together. They were both a thing and rivals in boarding school, which basically means they slept with the same girls and with each other back then. With Maya between them now, a lot of good and bad feelings are also rekindled.
This story is sex-driven and while I think the scenes are well-written, I had problems liking Maya until perhaps the end. I mean, this whole open relationship seems like Jocie and Loren's thing. They're seasoned players and when they do it, it's cool. But Maya is just stoked to be dating two women who are supposedly above her league and she just seems out of place, out of character and sex-crazed in this whole episode. But I think this story came together well in the end, so I have to say I enjoyed it.
I wasn't impressed with the audiobook though. Half the time, I couldn't figure out which character was talking or when it was a spoken dialogue or an internal monologue. And I was pretty sure I heard faint background noises at some point. In the end, I had to finish up with the KU book instead.
This audiobook was given to me for free at my request and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

DNF at 45% (Chapter 14 of 34).
I struggled with this one. I didn't want to add another book to my DNF shelf, so I pushed myself to continue as far as I could, but the story and the characters just didn't do anything for me.
The characters' thoughts turned me off a lot. But instead of telling you why, I think it's better to provide examples 'cause they're pretty self-explanatory:
We were given lots of sex scenes here. I counted 4 before I stopped reading. None of them involved the trio yet. It was always Maya doing it with Jocelyn or Loren. It wasn't a problem per se, but the thing is, very little work was done to establish chemistry between the characters first that I felt apathetic about them getting it on. I didn't find these scenes erotic, exciting, or whatever. Honestly, I wouldn't be complaining about it if there were anything more tying these ladies together, but lust was the only thing they had going for them, and yet the book was failing to project it too. Even the buildup towards it got repetitive. They go on a date. They go somewhere else. They have sex. That. Was. It.
What interested me to go further in my reading was Jocelyn and Loren's history. They were frenemies back in boarding school 20 years ago and yes, they slept together then, but the reason for their fallout was still vague at this point. Now, they were competing against each other for Maya, agreeing to let the latter date them both at the same time until she comes to a decision. Needless to say, I was curious how these enemies would turn into lovers. Unfortunately, the more I read, the more I became disinterested with all three of them (again, see snippets above).
Maybe this book just wasn't for me, not because of the poly aspect, but because of the lack of chemistry all around. Hopefully, if you decide to read this, your mileage will vary.

This was very entertaining, funny and I really liked it. There was a lot going on but that's what made it interesting. I thought Maya was a tit for lying to her sister, but I suppose the intro to Pedro more than made up for it.

I loved the story. Maya, Loren and Jocie all have issues. Maya has family problems and low self esteem. Loren and Jocie share a past that they are hiding from. I really enjoyed the banter between all the characters and the growing love story. There are many layers to this story and it makes for a enjoyable listen. The narrator has a nice voice and if you up the speed a bit you don’t notice the long pauses. The sex between the three of them is so hot and sexy. They make use of every surface and toys too. You’ll need a cold shower 😉

A sizzling love story
I absolutely loved this story about finding a date and more in a supermarket parking lot. Maya and Loren and Jocelyn find themselves in a complicated romance but allow me to say this is a love story full of family and friends and I don't want to talk to much about this book because I loved it so much I want whoever reads my review to just read it to. This is so worth the time. Great read.

Excellent!
This is a well written book with plenty of character and characters. Although the topic isn't something most of us think about, polyamory is presented in a way everyone can understand the principle, if not the reasoning behind it. But the book also touches on other subjects in everyday life, dementia, lost opportunities, lies of omission, etc. I recommend this book be placed on your must read list of you enjoy lesfic.

Three maybe a crowd, or a happily ever after
This is my first foray into a threesome. I think it was well written by Hildred Billings and Cynthia Dane. At first I was thinking it was kind of slow going, but after awhile the pace made sense. I have enjoyed their books in the past, and look forward for more.

DNF at 15%
I was a bit hesitant to read this book. Previous books by Dane and Billings were a bit disappointing to me. But there aren't many sapphic poly books and the scores on Goodreads are good. And to be completely honest, I was also in the mood for a story with a lot of sex, so I decided to go for it. I had to struggle through it. The story flowed a bit slowly. I wasn't reading long when I thought it would be better to pick up another book, but because I was curious about the sex scenes I decided to continue. About 15% in the first sex was had and it didn't do much for me. Because it then became clear that this book would not be more than 3 stars for me, I stopped reading it. There is so much else on offer, that I decided not to waste my time on books with less than 4 stars. So I DNF and I gave 3 stars, because this would be the maximum for me and I cannot judge whether it might be worth even less stars.

Mixed feelings
I really really like the book overall. I felt like this. Definitely needed a part two. We were just getting used to them being together for five minutes.
On a different note, I was kind of heartbroken for Maya. I felt like Loren and Jocie were so shady. I couldn’t have moved until it had been a while. They blatantly lied about something she would’ve been cool with. They were sneaky behind her back and essentially used her. I don’t know if it was her low self-esteem that made her go back so fast but I couldn’t. Honestly, Loren surprised me I didn’t expect that from her at all. Jocie maybe and she was still the most honest.

This story reminds me of a Bdsm-free version of their previous book threesome, substituting Latinx character & family instead of an Asian ethnic representation. Even still, its a good read.

way too long
This book is way too long to end with such a predictable ending. An ending one could see a mile away. Once they told her the truth, I skipped the drama right to the last three chapters because I just couldn’t stand it anymore.

Maya, Jocelyn, and Loren’s journey was utterly beautiful, contentious, hair-pulling, and heartwarming. The only qualm I have was not being able to read more of the three of them together…together. ;)
All in all, this was a ménage romance worth reading again and again.

I didn't think I would enjoy this story as much as I did! The polyamorous relationship is actually really sweet and believable and very different from most other lesfic content. Really recommend it!

I've read a few polyamory books because I really like the topic and a nice to something new or different. That said this the best one I've read so far and I like it far better than Billings&Dane's first polyam book Menage a Trois.
Things this book's got going for it:
-Maya is on the plus sized scale of the clothing department. It was great to see representation of plus size character cause honestly you don't see those enough in romance. It's always abs, flat stomach and thigh gap. I don't what I like more the fact that Maya was big thighs or her girlfriends' compliments cause both were fantastic.
-I love that Loren and Jocie are both butch. Maybe not like the biggest one out there but still noticeable. You don't find many butch-femme lesbian books and finding two in a polyam book was awesome.
-The sex scene OMG like these two have outdone themselves. If there is one thing to be grateful about being quarantined at home is that you don't have to worry strangers in the bus or coworkers giving you a weird look when you get red in the face. Every scene was emotional and sensual and worth a reread.
Overall a fantastic read and would recommend to someone looking for steamy romance and to anyone who's never read polyamory before.

There are so few polyamorous lesbian romances available that it’s sometimes hard to critique them since there isn’t much competition. With that said, I think this book will stand up well compared to any books in the same theme that will be released in the future. This author duo already had one polyamorous lesbian book available that I enjoyed very much, but this one was even better. Besides that, despite being fantastic authors already I feel like they only get better with each new release.
I have to talk about the sex scenes first, since I think that’s why a lot of people will consider reading it. I usually skip over sex scenes because they bore me. The sex scenes in this book offer so much more than just sex, though, and I didn’t skip a single one. There’s emotion in the scenes, you can really see the relationship building between the women involved.

They weren’t just hooks to keep the story going; these characters feel like real people with real problems, and they have to come up with realistic solutions.
