I’ve heard derogatory comments about Christian Science and Mary Baker Eddy specifically. It seems the critics did not wait for her to pass on before coming up with twisted rumors and salacious, dismissing, demeaning gossip. She addresses it head on without apology or hesitation. There is also additional insights and information not contained in Science & Health with keys to the scriptures.

It has been a really long time since I read this book. And what a treat to read it again. Familiar quotes were seen in context, and new great quotes were discovered. It was interesting to me, that in the back of the book where testimonies of those healed are written, are two brief letters from Longfellow and Bronson Alcott - two great thinkers of the day. I know that there are still some amazing spiritual thinkers "out there" today, but with the media giving so much attention to trivial or sensational "news", it is wonderful to have that balance of spirituality discovered by MBE.

I highlighted way too many quotes to add to this review. In fact - I just perused the book again enjoying all of my yellow passages - and am again in awe of the insights.
