Nienke Pool is midden 40 en moeder van 3.

Als historica vertelt ze graag historische verhalen. Fictie in het verleden, heerlijk vindt ze dat.

Als moeder schrijft ze graag kinderverhalen met een twist en veel fantasie.

Als docent vindt ze het een uitdaging om haar YA lezer te boeien. Vorig jaar zette Pool haar eindscriptie om in Fantastisch Proza wat resulteerde in het bevreemdende Johannes 14:6. In september 2016 debuteerde Pool succesvol met het 13+ YA Fantasy verhaal "Falco en de gestolen Stympha's", een episch avonturenverhaal over moed en vriendschap.

Nienke Pool has completed two academic history studies at the University of Nijmegen. This reflects in a strong predilection for writing historical fiction. She has published several short stories in various magazines and anthologies in the Netherlands and has recently expanded her horizons to international publications in Belgium, the US and Poland. She’s currently trying to write her second novel, while the first novel is doing the rounds.

Sempre és agradable llegir la revista Catarsi. Una barreja de ciència-ficció, fantasia i terror que resulta estimulant i fa venir ganes de més.
El nivell narratiu d'aquest número és constant i atractiu, tret del relat "Per la mare" que no m'ha convençut, potser per què recorda massa a aquells còmics publicats als anys vuitanta on l'oníric predominava per damunt l'acció.
A veure quines sorpreses ens prepara la propera revista.
