Things that I loved about this book:
- The exercises Alison took the time to craft in the book, get your pen out and actually do some proper learning. So many books are all "listen to me" but these exercises properly get you immersed in the content and taking action.
- Alison is completely no fluff, so the language and style is down to earth, it really resonated with me
- The case studies are brilliantly relateable to a small business owner like me
- I love how Alison also incorporates the money conversation with the stuff she does (bank of faff, bank of giving back etc.) this really stood out for me as something I could implement right away and make better use of my time/investment
What I didn't like about this book:
- absolutely nothing!
I found the book motivating, a great kick up the back side, it never once felt like I was being told I was doing it all wrong, it is both practical and tactical at the same time and does exactly what it says on the tin (the back cover at least) where the blurb states "Smash It convinces you that you can do anything you set your mind to" - it definitely achieved that. Thank you for writing such a brilliant book Alison.
