Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Insufferable characters (no, I don't blame the hero), are just not my cup of tea. Plus they can't even tell when someone is trying to sabotage their relationship.

The romance had been going great, until judgemental characters came and ruined said romance. Plus friends being backstabbers at the last moment shown as unrequited loves - didn't fly with me.

Hence the low rating. But the writing gave me hope that maybe something else the author wrote would be enjoyable.

Until the next read - TMR

"Rule #15: Find a strong woman whose heart isn't afraid to love, and whose wings aren't afraid to fly..."

Bring on the storm! This newest story from Ms. Mohel is going to bring you all the feels!

This is the third book in the Perfect Storm series and its Adrik & Jordania story.

Jordania is a fierce, independent woman. Thriving in a male-dominated world.  She is an officer in the Navy trying to make a name for herself, despite the legend and legacy of her father. She has had some trauma in her past that has made her build some walls around her, but it was exciting to read how Adrik broke them down.

Adrik is one of the swooniest heroes I have read! He too is an officer in the Navy.  A chance meeting while he was on vacation brings him into Jordan's world and destiny puts them back together. His words and his tenacity in his pursuit of Jordan just melted me into a puddle of goo! He is a silver-tongued devil!

This story is full of heat, heart, laughs, and swoons!  I also enjoyed the bit of mystery that is just going to surprise you!

This story flows beautifully and her knowledge of Naval jargon and the military world really brings realness to the story. I love how there is a wit to Ms. Mohel's stories.  I like to be able to laugh while I am falling in love with the characters.

If you are looking for a fantastic military romance, look no further! Ms. Mohel has a magic to her words and creates beautiful worlds and characters!

Prepare for the Storm, Mandy@Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog

Susana Mohel Brought the Thunder and the Lighting to Book 3 of the Perfect Storm Series.
I was Instantly sucked into Jordan and Adriks swirling Storm of love, passion, and War. Two Opposing forces, Two fighting for what they want, but can the Fire and water that these two bring to the table finally be able to join together to create the Perfect Storm of passion, desire, want and need?

I am so enamored with the way that Susana has written each of the books in this series, the way that each Female is a Goal Digger, wanting what they want with a fire and passion to match that of their male counterparts, each creating their own storm in life that will have you turning the pages so fast that you hate to see each one end. I can’t wait for the next Storm to hit, so batten down your hatches and hold on tight each book will have you drowning in emotion you won’t know what hit you.

If I could give this book more than 5 “pineapple” stars, I would.

“I believe I can, so I will”

Just like Rain and Cloud, I devoured Thunder Storm. Susana’s writing has a way of sucking you in and having you feel different emotions for every character.

After an intense short meeting in Hawaii, will fate step up and have Adrik and Jordania meeting again. These Naval Officer’s will have to follow the rules and their hearts to make it through this drama-filled storm.

Adrik and Jordania aren’t the perfect matches both are stubborn and like having control. But the strength they have for each other is perfect. Like Thunder and Lightning in a Storm!

Commander Adrik “Thunder” Houston stole my heart with his cheesy pickup lines, corny jokes and his swoon-worthy speeches. The uniform and motorcycle might have had helped too. So I did what every girl is going to want to do, I licked him!

Ahh! This is one storm you do not want to miss. Susana Mohel takes you on a journey full of so much love. The chemistry between Adrik and Jordania is like thunder and lightning. They complement each other well and are harmonious together. Both very strong-willed and stubborn but so full of love. It’s always enjoyable and refreshing reading a book with little drama as you watch the relationship of the hero and heroine grow and bloom. This is a great read and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a feel good, sexy romance.

Thunderstorm by Susana Mohel is an enemies to lovers military romance. This is the third book in The Perfect Storm Series and each book can be read as a standalone. I absolutely love Susana's books! You cannot help but fall in love Adrik and Jordania. I cannot wait to get my hands on the forth book in the series Hail Storm which will be released in the spring. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves enemies to lovers, military romances, or contemporary romance.

Off Limits by Susana Mohel was absolutely fantastic. I was hit with all the feels in the best possible way.

This was a well-written story with an entertaining and heartwarming plot, and I loved Jordan and Adrik; these two were meant to be.

This book was filled with some heat and tension, swoon-worthy pick-up lines, and jokes he had me laughing throughout the book.

Oh my, and that epilogue. Wow 🥰🥰🥰

I can't wait to read more from Susana.

ARC Review

I am awestruck by how beautifully written and executed this book was!

‘Thunderstorm’ by Susana Mohel is book number three in ‘The Perfect Storm’ series and honestly, I believe every book just gets better and better.

This is an incredible military romance, a one of a kind story that’ll sweep you off your feet.
If you have read anything by this author, then you know she writes tough stories with hot heroes and sassy and stubborn heroines that don’t need saving. She writes real love stories, with real-life problems and real reactions, things we can all relate to and feel down to our souls.

A frenemies-to-lovers full of angst, sexual tension, and incredible off-the-charts passion, perfectly mixed with a dash of mystery and suspense.

Jordania Zanetti is a stubborn woman, a goal digger through and through, a talented and promising NAVY lieutenant who does not let anyone stand on her.
She is sassy and mischievous but also professional and strong.
Jordania stands up for herself and holds her ground no matter how hard or difficult it seems. She is her own hero, she fights for what she wants and successfully accomplishes what most people believe she couldn’t.
She is a boss babe that will show you what true courage, strength, and bravery are.

Adrik, also known as Commander Thunder, is a NAVY commander, a strong and demanding man; he is confident, cocky and domineering both in his job and in his personal life.
He is funny and quirky, a man that knows what he wants and 99% of the time goes and gets it.
Adrik will show you a cheesy and romantic side, but also a stubborn and protective alpha male side. I assure you, you will fall in love with both sides.

This is kind of an insta-love story because the emotions can be felt right from the get-go, but you also have need to be ready to go through heartbreak and pain.

Their love is one of the sweetest and most unique ones out there, one full of quirky, laugh-out-loud moments, why-is-it-so-hot-in-here moments, I-wanna-kill-you moments and everything in between.

You will also have a chance to meet past couples from the previous books, have an update on their lives and even get hints on what’s coming next.

‘Thunderstorm’ is romantic but also interesting, full of well-described NAVY topics that will make even a person like me feel as though I am part of their story.

This is a story of courage and bravery, a story of a woman who thought she could, so she did, and a man who worships the ground she walks on while also protecting her and treating her as his equal.

Honestly, I couldn’t be more in love with this story because it made me dream with open eyes, took me to places I wish I can go to one day and taught me how to be brave and follow my dreams!

Five well-earned stars for this incredibly inspiring and beautifully written masterpiece.

must read

Where to even begin? The amount of pride and gratitude I had while reading this was insurmountable. The whole time I felt like I was transported inside, watching from the sidelines, entirely captivated. I couldn’t put it down and went from laughing, to crying with happy and agonizing sadness, to feeling my blood boil, to again crying with happy and sad tears. A whole mess of emotions and I would gladly go through it all over again for this couple.

I instantly clicked the moment Jordania was introduced. She is such a powerful force to be reckon with. Her determination, self-preservation and resolve to prove her worth is only a few of the many admirable qualities she has that depict who she is. Jordan is such an extraordinary character with a past that utterly gutted my heart. In light of everything, it didn’t deter her from going after what she wanted. The need for Jordan to be taken seriously and respected is understandable and completely reasonable.

Adrik is an incredible and beautiful human being who is unfortunately fictional. Caring, honest, vulnerable, yet can be dominant and and controlling in a non-threatening way. Once he realizes Jordan’s past, he instantly soothes and becomes sensitive to her needs. His passion, persistence and patients with Jordan just shows how much he cares and that she can learn to trust him.

The journey they go on was one hell of a roller coaster. The emotions I had were all over the place. The connection was instant and unable. From the moment they met, it felt like fate. I can’t emphasize enough how much I appreciate and love these two characters.

I wanted to strangle some characters while others I wanted to reach inside the book and give them a hug. I also want to say that I had a really weird vibe early on about a certain character, and unfortunately, was correct. I can’t stained misogynistic, arrogant, controlling people and I wanted to rip their head off so many times. I was screaming at Jordan to open her eyes and see, and was pleased when they were finally reprimanded.

This was one of the best stories I’ve read. I feel so many things right now, I don’t know how to express them. Also wanted to say thank you to anyone who is/was in our military. You are all heroes and I’m so grateful every day for all you do.

I didn’t quite fly through this one as I did the last two of Mohel’s books I have been reading. There’s this pesky thing called family and for some reason they like for me to spend time with them. But I read when I could. And each time I picked up the book, I was right there in their Navy world. With Mohel’s amazing ability to story tell, I felt I knew a little something about the Navy, while having zero knowledge what so ever.

Jordania has fought her whole military career to not be seen as her father’s daughter. With the rank that he has, it would be easy for people to assume she got to where she is by his name alone. But living the life she wants is not easy when he does pull rank and gets her into a training that is going the opposite direction of where she wants to be. But I absolutely loved her. She is a fierce chick that doesn’t let anyone walk over her. Except her dad and he doesn’t do so easily. She fights him tooth and nail and holds her own.

While she does have fears like every one else in life, I loved seeing Adrik tear down her walls and truly get to her. Adrik is something else. Absolutely amazing. He is supposed to be like every other military guy Jordania has ever known. But slowly he shows her that those other boys have nothing on him. And eventually he gets her to take a chance on them and see what could happen. And it was everything.

I have kind of read this series out of order but each book can be read as a standalone. Because even though a “knew” Jordania from BLURRED LINES, there wasn’t anything that ruined this book for me. The same could be said for the other couples I plan to read soon. 5 Stars!!

An action packed, fun filled forbidden military romance that completely overwhelmed my emotions with humor mixed with a little tragedy. I’ve always been a sucker for a good military romance, but this one really touched me with it being Navy. Susana was a new author for me and the excitement began right away, not letting up until the last word.

“𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕒𝕝𝕨𝕒𝕪𝕤 𝕓𝕖 𝕞𝕪 𝕓𝕦𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕝𝕪 𝕞𝕪 𝕙𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕒𝕔𝕙𝕖.”

Jordania is such a fierce and stubborn woman, determined to make her name known outside of her father. Aside from these qualities, she is also genuine and not afraid to stand out from her peers. Her hesitancy and skepticism was greatly warranted with her history, but she was a little naive with those attempting to sabotage.

“𝕀𝕗 𝕗𝕒𝕥𝕖 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕤 𝕦𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕓𝕖 𝕥𝕠𝕘𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣, 𝕨𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕞𝕖𝕖𝕥 𝕒𝕘𝕒𝕚𝕟.”

There’s just something about a man in uniform that increases with power. Adrick stood out right from the start with his cheesy lines and adamant desire for Jordania. Not to mention his determination to look after his aging grandparents. He is also a stubborn man who is very strong willed and successful.

“𝔾𝕠𝕕, 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕟𝕠 𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕒 𝕨𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕕𝕠 𝕥𝕠 𝕞𝕖,”

It is always so refreshing to take a step back from normalcy and smuttiness. Reading and feeling the desire between two characters, gaining an understanding of their intimacy without detailed events, allowed me the opportunity for my imagination to take over. Though the connection between these two was evident, feeling their chemistry through the pages was exciting and fun.

i was given an arc copy of this book and have chosen to review as follows

so i didn’t love this one, it was ok and a fairly good read but it wasn’t one i think i’d like to read about any other characters in if you understand me

Jordania Zanetti is a Admirals daughter in the baby herself and also looking to work her way up the ladder without the name of her dad making it happen

Adrik Houston is a commander also in the navy

they meet by a water hole in Kauai, Hawaii where jordania is taking some much needed rest before going for the next rung on the training ladder, unfortunately for jordania it soon becomes apparent that the next anonymous fling she thought she would be having turns out to be adrik who is her superior and who relentlessly pursues her wanting more than i think she actually wants to give
Throw in a very strange best friend who while reading about him gave me the heebie jeebies about his actual intent and behaviour

I do think the book could have been more better written as in we could have had more background to the strange best and only friend of jordania but that obviously added to the whole suspense anyway and maybe we could have had more background of jordania herself rather than fleeting bits here and there and some more background to adrik and his interests etc as it seemed more one sided with only jordania being the main and kinda only character with a bit of everyone else thrown in here and there

It did get better the more j in read and i’m glad i did read it but maybe it just wasn’t the genre or writing style for me

Get ready for the storm!

Commander Thunder that is, first name Adrik is swoon worthy & hunky at his finest. After an intense meeting with Jordan in Hawaii she forces him to leave their future up to fate.

Jordan thinks she’s in the clear. All work & no play, she abides by a strict set of rules. Until Adrik shows up at her new base. Fate be damned. Adrik threatens the control Jordan craves for herself. He makes her think & go out of her comfort zone and has her thinking of breaking all her sacred rules.

These two were no match made in heaven. Stubborn, strong, firey tempers their relationship gets put to the test multiple times. It was interesting to see how Jordan reacted to someone who was both so similar & so different to her. Adrik’s thunder complemented Jordan’s brewing storm that was just waiting to release.

It was intense with some suspense & highly emotional. I loved that even thought Jordan was such a strong character Susana showed that she was strong for good reason and let her be vulnerable. Adriks goofy one-liners, pep talks and jokes were the perfect addition to his tough exterior.

Side note: Thank you Susana for making this military romance more female centered. Far too many female service member get forgotten about! Jordan was such a bad ass & I loved seeing such a refreshing take on this style romance!

Jordan is a fierce, warrior woman trying to make her mark in the Navy, which isn't an easy battle as women just aren't seen the same as men. She's also got a legend for a father, so that's two issues which are trying to keep her down. And then there's that third one, she's got a past which has built up strong walls against anyone trying to get close to her, and the combination of the 3 makes sure she goes by the rules, never to color outside the lines. That is, until Adrik shows up in her life, and it's all because fate is a funny thing full of irony, so the battle of wills begins, as both are officers, stubborn, and like control. It's just that Adrik is determined to make Jordan his, so he has a real battle before him, trying to get through her walls. These two definitely shoot crazy amounts of sparks whenever they're near each other, and their interactions are definitely super fun to witness. However, in order to see if Adrik does succeed, you'll have to hit those one click buttons, and I'll end with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING TO ALL!

I really liked this book. I have not read anything from this author before but I will be reading more of her work.

Jordania Zanetti is a strong, independent woman, who is in a male dominanted work place. Her father is an Admiral.

Adrik Houston is a Comander and has the nickname Commander Thunder.

They meet when she is taking a swim at the Kipu waterfalls which is also known the pool of death. Jordania went there before she was being transferred to California.
There is an instant attraction toward each other. Jordania doesn't give her real name. She says to him "If fate wants us to be together, we will meet again." She thinks that that will not happen.
Commander Houston is at the same base.

When they start seeing each other her best friend Casper tells her that they shouldn't be together because he is not who he says he is. Trying to get them apart.

This book has a lot of ups and downs, and it keeps you thinking what is going to happen next.
I would recommend this book.

Thunderstorm by Susana Mohel (The Perfect Storm #3)

This is a Enemies to Lovers Military Romance full of fate.

“If fate wants us to be together, we will meet again.”

Everything happens for some reason ...

Lieutenant Jordan Zanetti, the only daughter of Admiral Zanetti with a tormenting past. Commander Thunder enters into her life to completely change it.

Rule # 9: Let her know that in between your arms, all her dreams can come true.

Thunderstorm is a book that you can devour in one night.

Adrik My Adrik… my lighting and thunder. My very own storm. “Is this what you wanted?” He asks, kissing my neck in the way that I like so much. “Everything I could possibly want and more,” I answer, as desire overwhelms me.

OMG Susana, you really did it again. I quite enjoyed the story of Jordania and Adrik. I really like the way you write and I admire you so bad.

Rule # 14: Sometimes, the small things can make a big difference.

😊I'm looking forward to the next book😊

Rule # 20: Fight for what you really want. The path to success is not an easy one, and is for those who never give up.

Jordania has invested her heart and soul towards her Navy career and she is determined to achieve success on her own merits and not because of her last name. She is strong, independent and says and does what she feels is right and doesn’t back down from anyone and that includes Adrik.

Adrik has also dedicated his life to the Navy and is the perfect combination of strong and sexy but that is only part of the man. He also has a fun side which is something that Jordania needs in her life.

He is determined that they belong together, and she is just as determined to keep him at a distance but before the winner is declared there is a lot of emotion, twists and suspense along the way.

These two were perfect for each other as they had a way of challenging each other that only makes their relationship that much stronger.

Susana Mohel delivers a deliciously perfect military/enemies-to-lovers romance! I was glued to my Kindle because Thunderstorm is the kind of romance you can’t look away from.

I loved Jordania and Adrik. Ms. Mohel never fails to give us a heroine and hero to fall head over heals for and with Thunderstorm she delivers once again. Jordania is fierce with a capital f! The woman has strength and attitude for days. Both required for her job as an officer in the Navy and to handle men like our hero. She is simply 100% badass. Adrik is as swoon-worthy a hero as they come. A Navy officer himself, a smooth talker, handsome as hell, and determined to get the girl.

Thunderstor has it all: chemistry, heart, heat, humor, and one hell of a story! Must read! 5 stars.

I love this series! If you enjoy emotional connections, empowering characters, and, or course, a little bit of steamy times, this particular book is right up your alley.

I was surprised with this one that it featured more of a military setting in that our heroine is striving in the Navy. She's wanting to build from her tragic past and thrive in her current career.

She meets the right kind of guy that will sweep her away and just overall create such a beautiful foundation for their relationship.

This author has quickly become an auto-read for me, and I definitely recommend this series and book as a whole. A great 4 out of 5 star read!

An amazing addition to the Perfect Storm series and a great forbidden/military romance. Jordania is a officer in the Navy, she’s fierce and a total bada** with the attitude to match. Adrik is a Navy officer himself, he’s strong, handsome, and he’s determined to make Jordania his. I really enjoyed the banter/interactions between Jordania and Adrik and their chemistry was palpable. I just adored Adrik and his corny jokes and pickup up lines. A definite must read and one I recommend adding to your TBR.

⭐⭐⭐.5

Susana Mohel has written a solid Military Romance. It is angsty, suspensful, and entertaining. The attraction between Jordania and Adrick is instant and unwavering.

The insight into the world of a U.S. Naval Officer is interesting and inspires respect for the challenging experience it is. The backstories for both characters are well-developed. The plot is complex and well-planned.

There are several interesting secondary characters who warrant having their stories told. This book lays a solid foundation for a series that will make for several hours of entertainment.

I loved his stubbornness and his willing to fight for what he wants. He is an example of what you can achieve with hard work and goals. Their chemistry was explosive from their first meeting. The plot was good and well developed/written. I plan to go back and read the others in this series.

An intense attraction between these characters made this book a must read. I chose to read this book based on the blurb supplied by the author. The author delivers and then some. The chemistry is palpable throughout the story. The characters have some scenes together that were so filled with an emotional charge, it was impossible to put down. Great storytelling.

Jordan and Adrik just about pulled at my heart. The story is so realistic and I love how Jordan is strong in her own right considering she is in the Navy and trying to prove herself. She is strong-willed and she collides with Adrik but they challenge each other. That chemistry is explosive and I love how he doesn't give up either.

Thunderstorm was a strong addition to this story, the plot was strong, it was packed with many emotions. Nothing about Adrik and Jordania's journey has been easy, it's been a rollercoaster, may ups and downs but no matter what they went through, they were drawn to each other. The connection and chemistry between them was strong.
I enjoyed this story. Thanks, Susana Mohel. Good work :)

This author has quickly become one that I want to read more of. Her stories are well written and filled with some amazing characters. Jordania is one heroine that is bad a** and I one you will love. I admit at first this story was iffy for me but then it picked up and I was hooked. Adrik is one alpha I wouldn’t say no to. Cannot wait to dive into more of her books.

This was the first time reading one of Susanas books. I have to admit it was hard for me to get into. It was slow to start but I enjoyed the story line as I got further into. I did throughly enjoy the HOT “sexy time” though!!! The connection between the main characters is one I crave for in my personal life.

Absolutely love this story!

This isn't an opposites attract, it's a can two people who are oh so similar find an HEA! Both officers in the Navy, can they find a way not to clash, but use their strengths to advantage in a relationship.

Emotional.

Just loved the personalities the author built for both mains, but especially loved Adrik and his jokes!
