My dark prince. My greatest temptation. My husband.
Antonio Huntsman isn’t the prince of childhood fairy tales. He’s savage and dangerous. The ruthless king I need. The beast I crave.
Together we’ll fight the monsters. The demons threatening to tear us apart. The villains who will stop at nothing to destroy everything. Our family. Our valley. Our love.
There will be no mercy. We will take no prisoners. I pray we make it out alive.
Envy is the heart-stopping conclusion to A Sinful Empire Trilogy, which begins with Greed. It is a dark romance with dark themes. Forbidden fruit has never been sweeter, especially the final bite…
My dark prince, handsome and brave, and filthy to the core. The leader the valley requires to thrive. The man our family needs to flourish. My love, who, every day, reinforces my belief that I’m not broken. That I’m a strong, capable woman. Not a victim, but a survivor.
Envy is the third installment in the A Sinful Empire trilogy and marks its conclusion.
Everything is building up towards the greatest danger Antonio and Daniela will face. Their family will break apart, their love will be put to the test, and they will be hunted by enemies, new and old.
“Te amo, meu amor. Your goodness chases away my demons. When you’re in my arms, I’m a better man.”
This story was indeed one of survival, hope, and trust.
It might not be a conventional romance for many but Daniela and Antonio found their way to each other. Even though Daniela will always deserve better, but Antonio's growth in this book dismantled his alpha-borderline-toxic persona.
But even his selfless acts are selfish in a way because of how it made others, especially Daniela, feel. But we all know when things get too hard he always seeks refuge in his cold and calculating persona because that's what it has always been like for him.
On the other hand, I love Daniela more with every book. Her journey broke and made me (I'm not exaggerating). The trauma and tragedies she went through were painful to read about, but it filled me with joy knowing she was able to heal, to become stronger, and to not allow anyone to define her. She is not damaged nor is she at fault for anything she was subjected to—she's a survivor.
What I loved about this trilogy is despite being a dark mafia romance but there was more focus on the characters and their stories rather than scatter action and sexy scenes but leaving the characters a blank canvas. Even the side characters get proper development.
I would definitely recommend this for dark romance readers who love a little action and a sexy romance balanced with a solid plot.
Trigger warnings are mentioned in my reviews of book 1 and 2, please note that the book deals with difficult topics and there are other triggers that readers should be aware of as this is a dark book. This is not a standalone.
WOW! This series was an emotional rollercoaster, at times unpleasant, other times very raw and real, but most importantly it was a well thought out and written journey. Antonio and Daniela's story was beautiful, as well as it was sad and traumatic at times. This story took the reader on an adventure, with chaos and happiness, betrayal and passion, hate and love, all these emotions strewn together in a spectacular sequence. The author's last words in the book resonated with me deeply, they left a huge impact on my heart and soul. You are not broken. You are not damaged. You are beautiful. And special. Your light can shine brightly, if you let it. You deserve a happily-ever-after of your very own.
Antonio's come to realize that he loves Daniela, the light to his darkness. A man like him when he loves, it's fiercely, protectively, and ruthlessly. Though he's in love, he's no less brutal, perhaps more so, so when danger finds them, he'll be the first in line to take the blows even if it means he has to make decisions that might hurt Daniela's heart.
Anti-heroes are called so for a reason - they've got dubious moral codes, they're generally assholes, and they usually live and thrive in darkness with violence and pain surrounding them. Antonio is not really a likable man, but I fell for him anyway, just as Daniela did. But it took awhile for me to see his redeeming qualities because he was so cold and brutal with her for so long. Daniela was truly his savior, because it was her influence, her light, that softened him a tad when he fell so hard for her. I loved them together, loved their whole journey - it's passionate and suspenseful, and Envy finally answers all the questions that popped up over the course of the trilogy. The epilogue was sweet, in contrast to the world they lived in, and gave me hopes that things might be a bit brighter for them as they settled into their happiness. I'm going to miss the Huntsman clan, I hope perhaps they get a spinoff so I can get glimpses of them in their future.

“I don’t deserve you,” I say humbly. “But I’m never letting you go. I’ll destroy anything that dares come between us.”
The minute I started this trilogy, I was hooked with Daniela & Antonio's story. They were each other's greatest strength. The plot was fantastic and while a few characters were enthralling, the others were despicable and made my skin crawl. The story especially the last part had me on the edge of my seat. The epilogue was really sweet and heartwarming and I just wanted more of the peaceful moments because Antonio & Daniela went through one tragedy after another throughout the entire book. I can definitely say that this entire trilogy was unputdowanable and you'd be in for a thrilling ride!
Super Suspenseful!!!! Super Spicy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super Sizzling!!!!
After the first two books, I had no choice, I had to complete the series!!!!! It is that good!
The quest for total power between Antonio, his disgusting uncle and cousin; and the Russians was so confusing you needed a score card. But in the midst of all of the turmoil; the corruption; the betrayal; the violence and the homicides, you get to watch Antonio and Daniela fight for their marriage, their family and a safe future for Valentina.
Did not expect to cry and then laugh, as well, at this amazing story. FYI: Although Antonio and Daniela are married, the sex scenes are down, dirty and really graphic at times!
What an exceptional journey this has turned out to be!
I love that even though Envy is the conclusion to this trilogy, it still kept surprising me time and time again. There was no forgone conclusion about anything LOL Eva Charles kept us on our toes for most of this trilogy and I have to say that I’m impressed. I know the woman has talent because this isn’t my first rodeo with her words, but this trilogy is next level people. I didn’t go back to the beginning when I read Lust, but I did when it was time to read Envy and let me tell you guys something .. you only thought this journey was edge of your seat because reading it all at once was EPIC!
I normally don’t give away much of the storylines when I’m reviewing but I have to say this one thing (but I won’t spoil anything). There are two epilogues to this journey and the first one had me so far up in my feelings that I could barely read the words. And honestly, that’s how I felt about this entire journey. It was emotionally charged in every direction and I cannot recommend it enough.

I was equally excited and scared for Envy by Eva Charles. I had an epic journey with one of my all time favourite antihero Antonio Huntsman and his queen Daniela. Ans Envy is the steamy, jaw dropping, gut punching and addictive conclusion. I wish I never had to leave this world. I will never stop recommending this dark mafia romance.
Antonio Huntsman, the king of Porto valley and port business has a lot of enemies. He likes to be in control. But right now he and his family is attacked from all side. Daniela may have been forced into the marriage but by now, they love each other deeply. And he cannot bear the thought of Daniela getting hurt. He is still the devil but Daniela is his greatest weakness. Will their love survive the storm?
I feel one of the best asset of this trilogy is the dual pov style. The author shows the best and worst of Daniela and Antonio in these chapters. I have already fallen hard for Antonio in last two books but this story hit me from a different angle. He is still the ruthless leader. The merciless business. The cunning and calculating king. But he finally showed the soft underbelly of the beast and I have been slayed all over again. He has not changed. He still wants to possess and claim and consume Daniela. But he let Daniela in his dark heart. Daniela has all the power here. This fierce and determined and strong woman is his fitting queen. She didn't run away or let Antonio push her away when things were messy, dangerous and violent. She handled it so elegantly and gave him the support and the peace he needed desperately but didn't want to admit. She didn't let Antonio dictate how she should handle a crisis. And there were a lot. This whole story is a maze of conspiracy, betrayal, secrets, lies and explosive action packed twists. You won't be able to put it down as you have to know what is happening next. Antonio and Daniela had so much growth over the three books. And now they have a very strong and intense bond that will take your breath away.
This is the absolute best of the trilogy! Twisty-turny storyline, some steam, suspense and a very very cool wrapup. I really like Eva's writing style. Definitely a good read.
This is series has taken me on a wild ride the last week, and I’ve loved every minute of it. This story has been heartbreaking at moments, but peppered amongst it all is a true love story. The hot scenes are incredibly hot, the emotional scenes have left me thinking about them hours after reading. I’ll continue to recommend this author and her books to anyone that will listen.
I guess in my mind I hyped this up to be so great since the first two were so good. I was disappointed with the while thing. It just seemed so forced and all over the place. The ending felt so forced and put on. We didn’t even get any for warning he was going to do it, because his thoughts throughout the book didn’t even foreshadow it. Yeah he is a jerk, but his actions were so random. The drama was so put on and forced. You never knew where everyone stood during the story and we never found out why the traitor did what he did.
I wss a little afraid at how things were going, but so happy it worked out as well as it did. I read more than I eat or slerp, and this series was well worth the time🤗

SPEECHLESS!!! I AM TOTALLY SPEECHLESS!!!
It is now almost a week since I finished reading ENVY, the epic conclusion to Eva Charles' epic trilogy SINFUL EMPIRE, and I am still struggling to put my words together. Ms. Charles held me completely mesmerized and transfixed from Greed, to Lust and finally with ENVY, in her story of Antonio Huntsman and Daniela De Sousa-Huntsman. Who would ever have thought that the dark, brutal, dominating man and the vulnerable, yet strong, feisty woman would be the perfect match? A man who is the very definition of a dark anti-hero and a woman who is his bringer of light, both captured my heart.
"Even if it takes my life, I will keep you safe. I'll find a way. You have my word."
Antonio Huntsman is an anti-hero of the darkest kind, he thrives on being at the top of his game, he's both feared and hated by many and has many enemies, he is cold and calculated with his every move and decision ... except when those he loves are threatened. Antonio is also emotionally tortured by his past, which in turn affects his present. He has found love though, love in a woman who constantly challenges him both in and out of the bedroom. Daniela De Sousa-Huntsman may have been a young, naive, and vulnerable woman when she married, however life with Antonio has turned her into a vixen, strong and powerful, a woman who knows her place but is also willing to challenge decisions made for her, especially when she is capable of making them for herself. When she loves, it is a deep consuming love that rules her heart, but not always her mind. Antonio may believe he is the devil, but his heart will always belong to Daniela, his angel of light.
"I've always known that our marriage wasn't made on love, ... But I love you now, and I believe with all my heart that you love me."
ENVY is an addictive, fast-paced, emotional, and dramatic read from start to finish. The intrigue, mystery, and suspense reach boiling point in this final installment. Nerves are on edge, emotions run high, and relationships teeter on the brink, as Antonio hunts down the man who is threatening his family and his own existence. Due to a heartbreaking tragedy, Antonio becomes a man enraged, a man who was no longer in control of his emotions, his life. He pushes Daniela away, yet she knows he's broken and acting out. Finally, Antonio admits his true feelings for Daniela, but has his admission come too late? Will a relentless, ruthless Russian mar their chance for true happiness, or is there another player involved? If so, why?
"My dark prince, handsome and brave, and filthy to the core. The leader the valley requires to thrive. The man our family needs to flourish. My love, who, every day, reinforces any belief that I'm not broken. That I'm a strong, capable woman. Not a victim, but a survivor."
Eva Charles ensured, through her mesmerizing words, that I became fully invested in Antonio and Daniela's story. It was one that broke my heart numerous times yet managed to put the shattered pieces back together. Eva's development and growth of her characters is simply superb, the depths of emotions she gives them is equal to none. Her hot, kinky, steamy scenes certainly burn up the pages, and she writes them in such a way that they become integral to the storyline. I can honestly say that this is Eva's BEST EVER work, and the tears that flowed during the two Epilogues are definitely a testament to the emotions I experienced whilst reading.
ENVY, no, the SINFUL EMPIRE Trilogy is a MUST READ.
Wow! That was some conclusion to a really awesome series. The characters were simply amazing, even the dark and sinister ones.
This story had nonstop suspense and intrigue for sure. A page turner to say the least.
Daniella was my favorite character, she was so strong and loving and beautiful on the inside as she was out. She had the patience of a saint, especially when having to deal with Antonio, that man would give anyone whiplash with his dark heart his intense nature, his extreme possessiveness and his proclivities for kinky sexy.
Antonio was enough to scare the crap out of anyone, he was dark and dangerous and calculating and will go to extreme lengths to protect his family. Our thoughts of him, highly volatile.! We loved that we got glimpses of what that man was capable of being, below all that darkness there was the beating heart of a man who once he gave his heart would love and cherish that woman in not only in life but, death as well.
Highly intense story that took you on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride. There were so many characters that we loved in this story, some more than others.
This story was also filled with tons of hot and sexy scenes, some that might make some uncomfortable but, some were highly erotic, and it was the perfect kink for Antonio and Daniella their jam you could say and Daniella definitely craves what the man dished out. Smoking hot, incredible chemistry! Daniella learn rather quickly to crave the dark parts of Antonio that lead to unbelievable pleasure...
What an epic ending for an amazing trilogy!! Envy is the third and final book in the Sinful Empire trilogy. It is just as exciting, dangerous, suspenseful and Dirty as the previous books!
“A dirty princesa needs a dark prince to satisfy her.”
The whole story had so many suspenseful twists and turns and Envy was no different. This third book in the series was completely unput-down-able!! I loved being on this exciting ride!
“…it’s never easy with her. Every battle is hard fought, and I’m forced to earn almost every concession. We’re both often bloodied before it’s over.”
Antonio and Daniela’s tale is dark at time and deals with some very sensitive and emotional issues that are beautifully handled. Dirty talking Antonio is a real alpha-hole but his character growth throughout the series leaves him with slightly softer edges.
“Te amo, meu amor. Your goodness chases away my demons. When you’re in my arms, I’m a better man.”
This entire series is an exciting, suspenseful must read. -5 Stars-
Envy is the third and final book in A Sinful Empire Trilogy by Eva Charles.
This series has been absolutely phenomenal. Envy picks up where we left off at the end of book two, Lust, and continues the fast-paced ride we have been on since the beginning. Some new questions arise while more mysteries are revealed. Prepare for a roller coaster of emotions as Antonio and Daniela have their marriage tested to the limits. Along with the twists and turns, we get more of the most original and steamy scenes between these two as well.
The character development for both our MC's has been amazing, and their growing love for each other perfectly paced as well. I appreciate an author that can write a trilogy that doesn't contain unnecessary fluff, just one fabulous story from start to finish. For me, an added bonus was the two epilogues at the end, and Eva's letter to her readers. I ended the last page with tears in my eyes and happiness with the beautiful ending and words.
Envy is a great book to complete the Sinful Empire and for me it's been pretty powerful and emotional charged and I loved the chaos the ensues with Antonio and Danielle.
Antonio himself is a very domineering and ruthless character who goes hard to protect his family but with Daniella he would give his life for the woman he loves. Daniella is a beautiful and resilient character who's learned that it's not easy to love someone like Antonio but she feels safe when they're together.
A fabulously sexy, dark and dangerous book by Eva Charles this has definitely been a rollercoaster of a Trilogy and a must read.
This is the last book of the series and I wish there’s another book because I love Antonio and Daniela. We see their love mature and get stronger. However, hidden enemies put their love to the test. Antonio is on edge, he wants to protect his family at all costs but is difficult. His world is full of violence and he rather protect his family so he makes a painful decision. Daniela wants to get closer to Antonio, she wants to protect her daughter and she deals as best as she can with everything but is painful. The end will surprise you!
This story has GOT. TO. BE. one of the best of its genre! Eva Charles has a way with words and assholes that is incredibly poignant and beautiful and at times tragic. Antonio and Daniela were completely perfect for each other and I very much enjoyed reading their love story. But that not all this journey was. So many feels. Don’t get me wrong. This is not a sweet love story - although there were parts of it that were. Some parts of the story were very hard to read (trigger warnings), and some were gruesome. But the sum of the parts make up the whole and that equals an absolute spectacular story. Don’t miss this!
I have been with this trilogy since the beginning. It has been brilliant and Envy was not short of absolutely thrilling. Right from the beginning it's action packed. Glued to my seat action... But it wasn't just that, love and passion. A beautiful story. I couldn't have hoped for a better conclusion to Antonio and Daniela's story.
Envy is a must read book. A Sinful Empire is a must read Trilogy.
What a finale! Envy truly takes suspense, heartache, and love to while new meanings. This is not your run of the mill happy love story. This is gritty and raw and passionate. Antonio and Daniela truly coalesce in this even when the chips seem to be at the bottom of the heap. The character interplay, along with the writing and wittiness of all the characters shows that Eva Charles knows how to write. Full of twists and turns throughout she kept me guessing to the end. Thank you for another wonderful series.
Wow!! Envy was incredible! Eva Charles doesn’t waste any time! Thrusting you into chaos and excitement! Every page felt intense and full of angst! Bombshells, secrets and the unknown kept me on edge! So many ups and downs! Emotional and intense! Such an incredible and amazing journey! Phenomenal ending to an exciting series!!
Its a sad story for anyone to go thru at such a young age but she ended as such a strong mother, wife and leader for everyone else. She was a hero that her husband a better man
Envy ( The Sinful Empire Trilogy Book 3) by Eva Charles continues where book 2 left off. Antonio is trying to figure who is causing all the trouble for him. He is trying to keep Daniela and Valentina safe. Daniela is struggling with telling Valentina that she is her mother along with keeping her safe as well. There were so many players working against Antonio that some of what was happening made my head spin. Loved the dynamics between Antonio and Daniela. My heart went out to her and her struggles with Antonio's moods and her feelings dealing with Valentina not knowing she was her mother. This book wasn't as good as the first to books for me. Felt the ending was bizarre and left me scratching my head. A 3 star read for me.
The final novel in Antonio and Daniela’s trilogy is an ending that will have you falling in love with the brooding dark prince and his powerful angel even more than you thought possible!!
I was already in love with these two! Antonio can be an infuriating jerk. I mean let’s be honest no other way to describe him other than stronger language!! What we solidly learn in the final book is that he’s protective! He protects his family! He may not show it in a way that’s hearts and rainbows but he shows it by scouring the earth for those he loves!!!
Daniela is the light to his dark and in this final book we see her become stronger than ever! She wields her strength in such amazing ways! I just couldn’t get enough of her!!
This story answers all questions and though it’s a very emotional journey it’s on worth every page!!
I waited so long for this book. I even had my calendar marked so I can read it when it came out. The first two books in the series were sooo good but this not so much. I was so disappointed the plot was all over the place and rushed. I found myself being a little confused sometimes about what exactly the characters were trying to accomplish. I loved the characters and the overall story though it's a great concept. I wish this book was captivating like the first two.
The conclusion to Antonio and Danielas trilogy wrapped up perfectly. The hits and threats from different directions keep coming faster and stronger but Antonio will do anything that keep his family safe. I loved the push pull between these two
