Although I gave the first book in the series 2 stars, I wanted to find out what happened to Faith and to give it another chance. I can make it through typos and formatting errors, but constant phrase and word repetition gives me a headache "bigger than Dallas".

So many editing errors

I like this novel; in fact, I like it more than the first. I do not like the poor editing. There are so many run on words that it is distracting from the body of the novel. There are also some formatting errors. I believe this author has an editor and a proofreading team so I don't understand how so many errors got by.
The idea of the novel is pretty good. I enjoyed reading the continuing story of Faith and her family and if you read the first novel, you will not be disappointed in this one . There aren't so many twists and turns, but there is a very compelling storyline.

This is the 2nd in the series and just continues to get better. This follows up on Faith who is in prison in Bangkok. If you read the 1st book, you know who put her there and why. This follows in the story of Faith's daughters. This one is the youngest, Hope.

Hope was only 6 when her mother left them and she has always wanted to know why her mother abandoned them to be with another man. Her father, who is a well respected lawyer, has always taken care of them and Hope loves him more then anything. He is a good man, why did her mother leave them. She just can't let the question go and getting answers might mean the destruction of her family.

Don't miss this one.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as The Killing of Faith. There was a lot of emotion in this book, which really managed to find its way into your heart, allowing me to experience it almost physically.

There were way too many grammatical issues in the book, which did kind of impact my enjoyment of it, however telling the story from Hope's and Grace's perspective, and of course Ryan's gave insight into everyone and how they were feeling and what they were experiencing.

Good story telling, likeable characters, great character development.

To be honest, “The Beginning of Hope” took a completely unexpected path as compared to many sequels in a series in that it didn’t continue exactly where the last book left off, but I loved the unique spin on a sequel this book took and thought it was excellently done. As I was reading, I could feel the anxiety and anticipation of the main characters building and was left heartbroken and stunned after reading the ending. This was definitely a book I kept thinking about after finishing, and I would highly recommend to anyone who read “The Killing of Faith.” Can’t wait to read the third book!

This is the follow on book from "the killing of faith " which was a fantastic book and I couldn't wait for this sequel book to arrive. I have just finished reading this in a day and it was every bit as good as the first book, the book captivated me from the very first page and kept me hooked until the very last page. I wholly recommend this book series and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

The Rest of the Story is Compelling, Too

Of course I wanted to read the rest of the story. This time I did it in one sitting. No, I don't care that it's almost 3 am. It's totally worth it. But next time I'm starting any book written by William Holmes in the morning. I can plan ahead. Don't hesitate to read The Beginning of Hope, for you will be amazed how the puzzle pieces fit together. A truly great read.

This second book in the Killing of Faith series by William Holms really rounds out and fills in more of the story of Faith, whom we got to know in the first book of the series. It continues her story through the eyes of her now grown youngest daughter, who grew up thinking her mother abandoned her. The emotions she goes through as she learns the truth are gut-wrenching. This is one of those books that’s hard to put down. Good read, well written.

After reading the prequel to this book, I rushed into this novel. At about 1/3 in, I was hit with a devastating twist that kept me reeling through the book. Now, the full truth HAD to come out! It was truly a whirlwind and a ride! William has a great knack of sucking you in for the long hall. Despite reading my next approval of a popular book via Libby, I’m off to finish this series first! I am thoroughly enjoying them all!

Another fabulous book as part of The Killing Of Faith series by William Holms which you can read as part of the series or a story on it's own. The twists and turns were amazing (one after the other) and the cliff hanger ending sets your imagination into crazy mode, scary. A gripping, intense and riveting from the beginning to the end as even if you think you know what may happen next you are still shocked and gob smacked you just keep reading, loved it.

William Holms has done it again! Expect the unexpected in this second book of the Killing of Faith series. What has happened to Faith since the first book? Will her daughter, Hope, find her? Will Ryan get what he deserves? This book will answer these questions and leave you with many more on this rollercoaster of emotions— love, revenge, deceit, guilt, heartbreak, redemption and finding the true meaning of faith. Now on to the third book in this incredible series!

Surprises everywhere

I liked the way the writer walks you thru Hopes view. I thought it was awesome she got to hear good things of her mother. I was kinda sad that they couldn’t understand their dad but then he went overboard with his revenge. The ending is great and it leaves it open to a possible third book

This was the 2nd book in the series. I highly recommend it. Such a great story, sad but so amazing. I couldn't stop reading it. I had to know what was going to happen after each page turn. I read the first book thru Voracious Readers (The Killing of Faith). This one I purchased on my own. I love this author, I hope that he continues to write such interesting stories.

This book made me want to go back and change my rating on the first book (which I will) I rated it three stars because of the abrupt ending that left me wanting more not knowing there was a sequel. This author has a great writing style, kept me engaged throughout the whole book. Really good book, I’m excited for more!

Having thoroughly enjoyed The killing of faith I honestly did not think that the sequel would be so good but boy was I wrong. The beginning of hope was compelling reading which I found very hard to put down. I love the cliffhanger ending.

I received a complimentary
copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers for an honest review. Absolutely loved this second part to the series, wasn't sure if it could be as good as the first but it definitely was and I can't wait for the third instalment.

Second book in series, fast paced similar to first book. Story keeps you guessing what will happen next, then all the truths are revealed….some people are not what they seem to be. Anxious to read the rest of series

Another great one

I loved the fact this is a sequel to the first book because like the first, the story captures your attention and does not let go until even after the last page!

good book

Once again, as I did for the first book, I can’t give it four stars cause of all the typos.

Not

Not "mind-blowing" but it is good and definitely worth a read - for a sequel that is - and just enough to make me want book 3
