Get a taste of the New Haven University with this free novella introducing Leo and Mason. Their story comes with a happy ending, but it continues in the second installment of College Boys of New Haven series.
The Roommate Problem by Hayden Hall is a delightful short prequel serving as an introduction to his series, 'The College Boys of New Haven'. It's available when you sign up for his newsletter
When Mason ages out of foster care his 'Aunt' helps him apply to colleges and he gets a full scholarship.
When Mason meets Leo, an older student who is to be a guide of sorts for students from out of the area, they immediately click.
I really liked both Mason and Leo. The story was short, but was still good and left no questions unanswered.
Side Note: I did see this book was a prequel of sorts for Mason and Leo. But given the full book about them includes a third into the relationship (and that is not my thing) I think I'll pass on it. 😕
New to me author. This was a mm novella set in the USA college world. Main characters are Mason and Leo. Mason is starting college and Leo is the person to show him round. Insta love with Mason holding the V card for everything gay. Told from duel POV.
Cute and fluffy instalove story between innocent Mason and sweet Leo.
The fact that they fall in love and say I love you within one week really bothered me. It was too quick without delving into the why’s. Like, we know Mason falls for Leo because Leo is the absolute sweetest. But why does Leo fall for Mason? Even he said that he didn’t normally go for the types of Mason.
But. All that being said, this was super cute and I really enjoyed seeing Mason’s journey to freedom. I’ve had my eyes on this series for a while (I’m a sucker for college stories) and I will definitely go a try to find Quinn’s book because he sounded lile a hoot.
A cute little story of a young man kicked out by his foster family who heads off to college. He's paired with an older student who offers him a spot as his roommate when he's got no place to live. It doesn't take them long to be more than roomies. Okay a free book did its job. I picked up the other books in the series.
I think this was cute. It was definitely short so it'll be interesting to see where they go in the next book. I'm not going to lie though, I'm worried about the next one with it being MMM. Going from a happy two person couple to adding a third always seems to bring on unnecessary drama/jealousy and other things. I'm not sure if I'll continue.
This makes the next book do much better. I read The Three Heart Equation first snd I loved it but then I wanted Leo and Mason’s story of how they began. Really should read this one first to get the best experience from them.
I guess this is the novella prequel to book 2. it details how Leo and Mason meet 2 yrs prior. It's cute but since book 2 is MMM I'd actually rather not see them happy as a twosome if that makes sense :/
I rate this story a 3.5, rounded down to 3 stars because it felt a bit unfinished. Leo and Mason were both sweet boys, but the pace was a bit faster than seemed realistic. I would have enjoyed more depth, a slower pace, and fewer typos.
After a rocky start to life, Mason accidentally hits the jackpot, gets his education, accommodation and love life problems all sorted in breath taking speed.
