My husband has always been dangerous. But I never thought he was a killer. One phone message changes everything. The cult where I spent fifteen years of my life is preparing for the unthinkable. My son has returned to the fold. I must find him before it is too late. But it’s not just his life that’s at stake – it’s the entire congregation of Garden Temple. I thought I was destined to be a sister-wife and mother, but turns out, I am so much more. I am a woman who must stop my husband’s madness before he does something irreversible. I must stop him before it’s too late.
Anya Mora relies on her experience as a wife and mother to form her creative expression. Her novels, while leaning toward the dark, ultimately reflect light, courage, and her innate belief that love rewards the brave.
The title intrigued me but did not click right away as to the reference into usage of the phrase in various cults. The subject and scope is pretty rare amongst most thriller novels so Anya Mora has filled a niche very nicely with believable/relatable/interesting characters in a unique story line with a couple facets/layers (though not has complex as most multi-faceted novels) with some well-timed reveals and plot twists! I would be interested in reading more by this author or in this series.

The third book in this series was uninteresting, to say the least... The only reason I went up to 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the twist on the last page. I was bored the entire time and skimmed quite a bit of it, as it was repetitive and boring, and had my mind made to not continue the series. I hate to say I think that I have to move on to the next to see what happens now...
This is book three of the Gray West Mystery series and picks up with Gray having gotten her youngest daughter Ruthie back from danger, but may now have lost her oldest, her son Abel, who has gone back to the cult her husband controls, to try and get his pregnant girlfriend Bethany safely away, before his father marries her himself. Gray had escaped from her husband’s clutches at long last, only a few short years ago, with her two young daughters Ruthie (8) and Olive (12), after her husband started to arrange a marriage for Olive, but left behind her eldest, Abel, knowing he was too much like his father not to betray their actions and escape plan. Men rule in the congregation of the Garden Temple, with her own husband Jeremiah calling himself a prophet, and taking her for his own wife when she was only fourteen and then taking on two more sister wives, Naomi and Lydia. A phone message from Bethany worries Gray more than she can let her daughters know. It said that it was time for them all to return to Eden. From that message, she is worried that Jeremiah is planning to have all of the two hundred strong congregation prepare for their next life in Eden, but none of the women in the compound have any knowledge as to where the location for this final step was to take place. Her own daughters suggest she asks Detective Orion Boone to help her again, as he did when Ruthie was missing and with the worries about it being her former husband. Jeremiah now knows where she lives and the new name she had taken to hide them away from him, and he wasn’t happy with her for leaving him, when he visited two days before, after she had sent the police to question him at the compound, believing he might have taken their daughter. She knew he was a dangerous man, but not what might possibly do to cover for all the evil he had done and all the laws he had broken, which could have seen him imprisoned for life. It’s up to Gray to stop her former husband from whatever madness he has planned, before it is too late! Boone offers to help her immediately and Gray leaves her daughters with a friend and neighbour, to travel out to the compound she spent so many years at. What they find is not exactly what they expected and leaves more questions and worry for her, as she tries to save her son! Discoveries of the lies her husband told her over the years and how he manipulated her very life, leave a disturbing path to follow in the next book. I loved how close Gray and Boone got in this book and how he helped her at every step, to discover what Jeremiah was up to and to get her son back. More to come in this series and I can’t wait to see what Gray and Boone will get up to with the bombshell that was dropped by Charlie at the end of this book. A thrilling read, but which lays out all the dangers involved with cults and the damage it does to those taken in by such a dangerous, yet charismatic leader. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
I had been eagerly waiting for the next book in the sister wife's series by Anya Mora as I had enjoyed the pervious books in the series very much. I am happy to say I was not disappointed and actually liked certain aspects of this book very much.
As always, this book begins where the previous one ended with Grace/Gray's son leaving her house to go find and bring his childhood sweetheart. So, Gray and detective Boon set out to find her son and v in the process have to find where the whole cult is. What I most liked in this book is the development of relationship between the both of them. It was much more organic and wonderful to read.
But I also has issues with the way her son oscillates between who and what he wants to believe; it could have been described in a very much more better way. And the detective could have had a better way of investigating; I am sure an experienced detective should have been able to find out things much more faster than he had.
For all these issues, the story was still very much interesting to read and the characters have really started to grow on me. I am definitely going to wait impatiently for the next book.

The Sister Wife's Husband is the third book in the Gray West Mystery series. The book picks up from the end of the last book where the craziness that is her children's father is once again controlling their lives. Being the strong woman and fierce mother that she is, Gray will not let that happen. She must return to that horrible place where her maniacal husband Jeremiah stole her childhood and threatens the life of the people who follow him, including her son Abel. Of course, Detective Orion Boone is by her side to protect her.
With much drama, suspense, twists, a little action, and a romance finally blossoming, The Sister Wife's Husband is a very entertaining and engaging book. The ending was justice meted out in full force. It leads to the next book and a shocking life-altering revelation for Gray. I can hardly wait to read book four!

My son must save his pregnant girlfriend… From marrying my ex - husband .
My Sweet , brave fifteen-year-old son Abel Is going back to the cult we escaped from .He’s gone to rescue his pregnant girlfriend before my ex- husband marries her himself.
Even though Bethany’s just a teenager , she’s been promised to my ex-husband , Abel’s father. The man we left the cult to escape .He already has two other wife’s , and now he wants Bethany . His own son’s childhood sweetheart .
So now I’m going back. I have to get them away from him .
But when I get to the compound there’s no children running in the halls , No chatter of the wives in the kitchen. The bunk beds are empty.
They’re all gone . My son , my pregnant daughter - in - law , everyone .
Gray is back in book three of the series and this book picks up where book two left off. I definitely recommend you read the first two books before starting this one so you can get the full story of everything Gray has gone through because of her husband. Gray's son heads back to where his father is to get his high school sweetheart and momma Gray along with Detective Boone head off to save her son. This is a captivating read filled with mystery, danger, suspense, cult drama, a budding romance, and a page turning story that had me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Well, finally being from a sister wife religious cult really came into play; until now it coudl have just been a bad / abusive relationship she ran from, so it was feeling like pulling on a "hype" to get this to catch people's attention - as the series did for me. Anywho, this one lived up to why this is the series name. This one I had to finish start to finish, I feel like this was the best book yet! Looking forward to the 4th! (*disclaimer, no I don't think all religions like this are cults)
I actually really liked this one. Usually books can get slightly less interesting as they go on in a series, repeating themselves for readers who haven't read the prior books, but this one didn't do that. Some guessing throughout, love, loss & a surprise at the end which makes you want to go on and read the next. Don't get me wrong, these aren't the most intricate or intense stories, but they really make you want to follow the characters stories. Would recommend, but read book 1 and 2 first for sure.
Yet another intense read in this series. Each book is so different yet linked by common themes. Grey constantly has to decide just how far she can accept to go in order to protect her children. I love her fragility and her strength; as she manages to be both simultaneously. I honestly thought things were drawing to a close, when bam a huge cliffhanger appears that I did not see coming at all. I am so intrigued by what is yet to come.
This is the third book in the Gray West Mystery series. Good story. The only thing I didn’t like is the reader isn’t brought up to speed about what took place in the first two books. I don’t think it really works as a stand-alone novel because for the first few chapters the reader will have no idea why the main character is in the situation she’s in. Therefore I give it a 4.
Wow I powered through this book in less than a day! An emotional and suspenseful rollercoaster. I really love Boone and Gray's chemistry and I want more of them. This book is full of twists, a lot less grammatical errors this time...but one right in the beginning of the book that made me want to flip a table lol cuz, come on. It just started and there's an error. But anyway, errors or not the story is good.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Gray's son has gone back to where his father is. But Gray knows that her ex-husband is nothing but a cult leader. Can she face the place she was for all those years and get her son back? What about the other people there? Something sinister is about to happen if she fails. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was a good mystery story but I think it is better if you have read the previous books. I felt like I was at a disadvantage because I didn’t know the characters.
This is the third book in the series. The romance between Grey and Boone is blooming. The road to find Abel is a maze and you are left wondering if they will make it in time. Can't wait for book number 4
Gray has enlisted the help of detective Boon to track down her son, Able. Able had gone back to the cult compound at the urging of his pregnant girlfriend. Gray has learned that a mass suicide is planned and is panicked to warn her friends and take her son back home.
I loved the first book in the series so much that I just had to keep going. Sadly I feel like the writing was really rushed in the most important "show down" of the story between Grey and her ex. I don't think I will read the next one but will keep an eye out for this author.
This is book three of The Sister Wife Domestic Suspense Thrillers. It picks up where the 2nd book ends. It’s quick read that is interesting and thought provoking. With the way it ends, I suspect there will be a 4th book
Oh my goodness!!! I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning finishing this book. I had to find out what happened. I read the whole book in one night. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next in the series.
