A great approach to a sensitive issue. We all want to show our best side to everyone. That is only natural. What becomes confusing is how to tell when people are honest, or at least up-front. Recognising the signs of deception takes time and a lot of practice. Not to mention that liars don't always use the same tactics. This book was clear, to the point and at times was quite a revelation. It was written in an understandable, informative, clear language that was easy to follow and held my attention. I would have no hesitation in recommending this book to help understand behaviour, body language, and trends.

This book is a real eye-opener into the world of spotting deception. While it doesn't promise foolproof methods, it provides a solid foundation for understanding why people lie and how to detect it. Personally, I found the sections on body language and verbal cues particularly enlightening. However, it's worth noting that no method is 100% effective, as some skilled liars may not exhibit typical signs. Nevertheless, the practical tips and insights make it a valuable resource for navigating social interactions. Overall,a recommended read for anyone looking to sharpen their people-reading skills and cultivate healthier relationships.

This is my second book by this author and I found this book to be as informative as the first. This book makes the art of reading people and understanding personal cues easy for the lay person. Reading people has always fascinated me. It is perhaps one of the most useful and underrated life skills. Knowing how to interact with people, based on observable micro behaviors, puts you one step ahead. If these skills intrigue you as well, I recommend you take this book!

Do not waste your time with this book. I made it about 15 pages in before I got tired of the author citing “statistics” showing something without an actual source. When you check the “references” at the back of the book you will find things like LinkedIn posts, listicles, and articles from elitedaily.com. Shoddy sourcing aside, the prose is so poor and riddled with grammatical errors that it is a painful read. To the authors credit, he does mention some books on the same topic that sound far more credible and interesting than this one.

Very interesting read. I didn't decide to read because I was looking to trying to spot a liar. I picked this because of a challenge to read a non-fiction book. I do have to say that I made a surprisingly good choice. There are a lot of good tips in this book on how to spot and in most cases handle a lie that was told to you. Don't know how well I will be able to utilize this info but I know I will be paying attention to a lot of things differently.

I downloaded this accidentally as I mistook it for a different book. It was interesting enough but not particularly useful if you don't use interrogation tactics in your everyday life.
