Excellent depiction of the post-Star League Inner Sphere
This is another solid piece of the unfolding Eridani Light Horse Chronicles. This time we see the ELH struggling to come to grips with the realities of the Inner Sphere now that the Star League is gone. The story does a good job of conveying the emotional turmoil of the main character as he tries to find his way in the new cutthroat world post SLDF, as the ELH are finding their identity and their ideals.
This book tries to explore more of the Eridani Light Horse's sense of honor and how they try to hold onto that and to some degree the original Star League ideals despite how they're not a mercenary company. It is also another chapter in their larger efforts of finding as home or at least a House that they can work with honorably.
