Aggar
Her face has haunted me ever since she wriggled out of my hold. I had returned, and my mission was to honor the human females who perished in the crash, scavenge what I could from the ship, and find the one who got away. Before I could catch her again, I was recalled. The settlement had fallen under attack, and my clan of exiles was on the move. Time was running out, and my spirit mate continued to evade me. Torn between duty and the pull of my spirit to hers, my ancillary heart won't allow me to leave her behind.
Jane
I had no memory of who I was or how I got here. I woke up strapped to a table surrounded by gray freaks with slashing mouths and bulbous heads. I got loose when we crash-landed. Now I was hiding, hoping my memory returned and trying to find a way off this broken-down spacecraft. Then he found me, the silver-haired one. He wasn't like the others, but neither was he human. Something inside me called to him, but how could I trust a stranger when I was, also, a stranger to myself?

I've finished this book two days ago, but only found the time to write my review now. Hopefully I won't forget anything...

The story actually somewhat sets back two books prior when Aggar was sent by Jakkar on a mission to go to the Gretolik ship and give a proper burial, a pyre, for all the women who lost their life during the crash. He is also tasked to retrieve Jane, the woman who escaped him out of panic when the group of Valosians found the caged women and rescued them. When meeting her, he instantly recognized her as his Spirit Mate and will do anything to get her to safety and reunite her with her people, whom are currently in the care and protection of the Valosians. Some of them already mated; Lily, Marie and Amy, from the past books.

Aggar was very charming. He felt like the equivalent of a playboy, who has a lot of experience with females due to the fact he was actively searching for his Spirit Mate before the virus killed all the Valosian females on his planet. His first contact with Jane was a revelation and obviously, he was ready to do anything for her. I like how playful and boyish he was; you know, with his smile and attitude in general. I appreciated that he was very possessive and even jealous. Super protective and patient with Jane.

“Would you come back for me a third?”
“As many times as it would take to find you. My search would be endless where you are concerned.”

As for Jane, I liked her character. Due to the crash, she lost her memory and has no idea who she was before that and doesn't remember what her name is. Therefore, she calls herself Jane Doe and during the story, we get to see bits of her past memories as she remembers stuff. She was strong and slightly reminded me of Lily the heroine from Silver Salvage, the first installment. She found her purpose, I liked the initiatives she took and how she actively wanted to help save Valose. She also didn't let Aggar smother her and refused to play the damsel in distress, which was nice.

“I’m home wherever you are, Aggar. On a crashed spaceship, in a mountain, or on an uncharted island. You are my home. My silver solace.”-Jane

The relationship between Aggar and Jane was very organic. They didn't hurry to mate and Jane actually pondered about mating with him. When she accepted to do so, she was fully aware of what it entailed. The heroines from the previous books were much more reckless about it, especially Amy from Silver Savior who I absolutely disliked. I thought Aggar and Jane had a sweet complicity, fun and cute moments. I'm just a bit sad there weren't many intimate scenes between them.

While reading the previous books, I was starting to feel like the plot wasn't really advancing because of the interweaving stories which only revealed bits and pieces of information about the situation in Valose and the City of Huren. I've been repeating it over and over, and I will repeat it again; each book in this series can't be read as standalones (you'll have no clue what's happening, I promise you). It is very important to read them in order because there are so many characters, so many plots and bits of informations that slowly advance the main story, following a strict and important timeline. In Silver Solace, I felt like we learned much more about the current situation in Valose. If the Exiled Huren Clan met the Trisess Clan in the third book, we finally get to meet the Jurigon Clan who is the last clan in this trinity of rivalry. If they don't get along due to different beliefs and practices, they will have to soon realize they need to unite against the Gretoliks to save what's left of their planet.

Overall, this installment was definitely one of the most enjoyable ones in this series. I'd say it's a tie between Silver Seducer, second book, and Silver Solace, this one. It seemed to me like more care was put into the characters development in those two books particularly. The plot was interesting and it felt like it was moving forward. Critical information, more threats, more new and promising characters. I'm very excited for the next one since I've been looking forward to read Tikkot and Isobel's book since they first appeared.

This book was written from a dual perspective, switching back-and-forth between the main male and female characters. Written in first person by Iona Strom, SILVER SOLACE is the 4th book in Warriors of Valose Saga, and follows the Valosian alien Aggar and his human mate Jane Doe.

Jane Doe wasn't Jane's real name. It was the name she gave herself since she lost her memory and couldn't remember much about her life on Earth, just that she had one. As the book progressed, she remembered bits and pieces about herself, but we never did discover her real name. We did learn that she was a homicide detective before she was abducted by the Gretolic aliens, (along with several other human femals). Her deaf little sister (and the reason Jane knew sign language) Amelia was eight when she disappeared and was never found, which was what influenced her to become a detective. Jane's captors crash landed on a dangerous planet called Valose, near the city of Huren. While the other women were rescued by Jakkar and his warriors, Jane escaped Aggar's grasp and remained hidden inside the massive spacecraft. She was finally caught after Aggar returned to the craft a second time to forage. He gave her a translator, and the rest was history.

Aggar was a seventy-two year old warrior who was exiled from the city of Huren along side the males who chose to stand with their Sia Jakkar. They took refuge inside a settlement they created from the ruins of Huren that was destroyed during the last war with the Nuttaki, a tribe of primitive assholes that laid waste to Huren and half the Valosian people, including their former ruler. He and his men initially ventured to the crashed space ship in seek of a power source and whatever else they could scavenge for survival. What they found instead was a bunch of compatible females, one of which being Jane, who was Aggar's spirit mate. Another similarity that bonded the two was the loss of his sister Nevva to the illness that killed all the Valosian females.

Valosians resembled elves in human folklore, with long white hair and pointed pronounced ears, but with fangs and camouflaged scales instead of skin.

Jane was Aggar's spirit mate (soulmate) verified by his thrumming and his second heart beating. Spirit mates were complementing spirits. Once they find each other, the need to couple becomes an urgency impossible to ignore. Thrumming was a song of the souls, a rhythmic vibration of enticement to let the female know the male was ready to begin the bond. After her touch, his ancillary heart beat for the first time and Aggar had been "awakened."

The couple officially had sex in chapter 13, at the 64% mark, which was (yet again) way to damn long of a wait. I read this genre of books specifically for the raunch. Delaying sexual intercorse anytime after the 48% mark is like dangling the cheese so long it molds. After first intercourse, the spirits of the mates would coalesce, and matching marks (called a shawra) would appear over their hearts. It was like a swirling tattoo of silver that glowed from within, and they could feel each other's emotions. The shawra was the portal where their spirits came together, forming an eternal bond that would reunite the two in the spirit world (afterlife).

Valose was full of dangers, such as carnivorous predators and hostile enemies. There's the man-sized locusts known as the Nuttaki horde, carnivorous venus fly traps (floratrap), saber-toothed cats (patooga), Dragons (wetlock), huge sea creatures that could swallow a human whole (squidlin) and T-Rexes (rexose) to name a few. The exhiles had relocated inside the ancient caves in book 3, and this book had them relocating again due to the caves being compromised and no longer safe. On their way back to the caves, Jane and Aggar were shot down from their stolen spacecraft by Clan Jurigon. Sia Jakkar and his group were intercepted from the same clan on their way to the Trisess Forest. With the help of Sia Xennox, we learn that the Gretolics were being commanded by an alien species known as the Grites. The Grites had a scout ship that crashed in the side of Xennox's mountain. When Xennox armed the Nuttaki and sent them into Huren, they were supposed to only attack the Gretolics, but wound up killing everyone instead. The Gretolics have another enemy known as Yulineons, who were the ones that shot down the craft carrying the humans in the first book. In a nutshell, we've learned that there is a galactic war being fought on Valose. The Gretolics had been on the planet much longer than everyone realized, plotting and scheming. They spread the rubella virus on purpose, for reasons unknown. They're breeding humans and Valosians, for reasons unknown. They're selling both humans and Valosian warriors in exchange for something called kript. And they have the ability to control the minds of Valosians that haven't found their spirit mate, but not humans or those who have bonded with their mates. There was a lot going on in this book, a lot of which I didn't cover, so you will have to read it and discover the adventure for yourself. 🤪

Truth be told, the plot has become almost too convoluted, making it too confusing and difficult of a story line to follow at points. Sometimes, it feels like the author changed her mind regarding facts that had already been established in prior books, so she just changed them and wrote some half-assed excuse for the change.

I guess this series is worth the read if this genre of books is in your wheelhouse. It has the perfect balance of adventure and romance, so long as you are able to follow the confusing plot line. I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series, mainly so I can finish it and move onto the next one. 🫶

So here is one of the characters I wanted to read about. I thought he would be the one who would end up with Marie except that is not the case here. Aggar is on a mission to find the one that got away. So what is so special about her. Well she is the one who got his second heart started and he wants to make sure she is safe. He also wants to get to know her. Now the question is who is she? Well lets meet Jane. Here is the thing, she does not remember who she is. She has been surviving on her own since they other ladies were taken. Well she thinks they were taken. So when Aggar is back on the crashed ship, he finds her. She is getting some memories back but not all. She is tough and stuff. Now they need to get back to the rest of the clan but some things happen. They must work together. So how will things go. We do see the chemistry between them build and trust me it is hot. We see how Jane feels like things are just out of control but some how Aggar helps her. Their relationship is amazing to see grow. So we know that they get a happily ever after. Now will they make it back to the clan. Read this book to see what happens.

This story was brilliant and I loved catching up with the other books in the series characters. Aggar has been asked to return to the crash site and recover the human females body’s and give them a Valose fire warrior funeral and finally lay them to rest, Aggar agrees to do this but he also wants to find the human female that got away from him the first time they where there and saved all the others females. Jane Doe she calls herself because she doesn’t remember her name or how she ended up on this planet with these huge good looking aliens taking them off the ship but Jane doesn’t trust anyone of them even the gorgeous guy that held her captive until she escaped from him but there was something different about this man she was drawn to him but he left with the others, and she hopes he comes looking for again because the food is running out and she longs for a good meal after eating what the ugly grey aliens have on this ship. Then he comes back and she is excited and scared at the same time but when he captures her again after laying a trap for her there is no chance of getting away from him this time then he gives her a implant so they can finally understand each other. Aggar is so pleased that he finally has his spirit mate at last and she is feisty, smart and everything that he wants in a mate but now he has to wait till she wants him so they can bond together. After leaving the ship they are captured by a another clan the Jurigons and they are integrated by there leader Sia Xennox about the Gretolics and they involvement with them on there planet and who and what is the strange pale female with them. How can they escape and find there own clan and tell them everything they have discovered about the aliens and what the Jurigon clan know as well. Get this great book to find out more and the amazing series so far you won’t be disappointed.

4 &1\2fabulous 🌟s for Aggar and Jane of Silver Solace💖

I love this series filled with sexy honourable male warriors who wish to love their females and protect their home. Aggar, was sent to rescue one of the woman who disappeared in the first book. He knows she's special the minute she touched him his second heart began to beat. He needs to find her and lay to rest the human women that didn't make it through the crash. When he and a fellow warrior finally get back to the crash site they start looking for anything they can salvage . When Aggar, looks up he sees her the missing Sloan he's came too find. Jane , at least that's what she calls herself stole short when she sees Aggar again. She knows it's the same silver alien that made her feel safe before she ran . She knows she has an inner strength and can take care of herself but she can't remember who it what her life was like before the crash. After a few misunderstandings both Jane and Aggar, work together to save themselves not only from the evil little grey aliens but rival clans as well. On their dangerous journey Jane remembers small snippets about herself, and she and Aggar, learn to trust one another and love grows fast and furious! 💖this is one of my favorites in the series this far. I would definitely love to be one of these warriors spirit mate! Highly recommend💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

There is barely time to take a breath in this latest installment of the Warriors of Valose saga. Tasked with retrieving the bodies of the women who perished in the crash, Aggar is stunned to realise there is a survivor, one determined not to be found, compounded when at her touch, his ancillary heart begins to beat. She evades him again, but this time he cannot leave her.

With no memory of who she is or how she came to be in a crashed space ship, Jane - the name she gives herself - struggles to trust the silver alien who seems so concerned for her well-being. Worse, she feels an instant and inexplicable connection to him... while acknowledging such a thing was possible.

As fragments of her previous life tease at her memory, things take an unexpected turn and Jane has to decide whether she dare place her life in Aggar's large silver hands.

Hang on, this will be a bumpy ride.

I am endlessly in awe of Ms Strom's ability to create this fascinating world; the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright abominable. Her characters are well developed and genuinely three-dimensional. The dastardly plot, orchestrated by the grey aliens thickens and things on Valose are coming to, what will likely be, a cataclysmic head - the ride is getting faster! I cannot wait for the next book.

Aggar and Jane's story

Silver Solace: Warriors of Valose Saga Book 4
By Iona Strom and LS Anders
Kindle unlimited purchase
Jane had no memory of who she was or how got here. She woke up strapped to a table surrounded by gray freaks with slashing mouths and bulbous heads. She got loose when they crash-landed. Now she was hiding, hoping her memory returned and trying to find a way off this broken-down spacecraft. Then he found her, the silver-haired one. He wasn't like the others, but neither was he human. Something inside her called to him, but how could she trust a stranger when she was, also, a stranger to herself?
Aggar caught her once but she slipped out of his hands. Now he is back at the crashed ship honoring the dead, but most important to him is he gets another chance to get the hiding female back to safety.
It was great reading how Aggar was there for Jane with her memory being like it was. To wake up strapped to a table with no memory as she did I would have freaked out. I recommend reading this series in order different characters but the story continues through the series.

Silver Solace is the fourth book in the Warriors of Valose Saga and it didn't disappoint! It picks up right where Silver Savior left off. God, I'm loving all of these sexy silver aliens and I don't think I could choose just one!

Aggar is sent to recover the female bodies and give them a proper funeral. It's a bittersweet return to the crash sight until he notices the missing female, Sloan. Now he's determined to make it a double mission, since he refuses to leave without her.

Jane's memory loss has her scrambling for safety, when she spies the Silver alien. After what happened with the little gray aliens, she trusts no one. Determined to hide, she crawls into the tiniest of spaces only to be lured out by false pretenses.

I highly recommend this series to all lovers of Sci-Fi romance. Ms. Strom does an amazing job of creating strong female leads, and sexy honorable silver aliens. Who would have thought that Silver could be so sexy!!

This 4th book really had a different feel to it. The majority of the book takes place away from the rest of the group, either at the crash site, or in a camp away from the "known" characters. I enjoyed getting to learn about all the new information presented, and my gears are turning trying to figure it all out! I can't wait for everyone to be back together in one place. (This was well underway at the end of the book)

I was mildly disappointed that some of Jane's story line isn't resolved, but there are obviously many more books to go, and I'm sure that will happen along the way. Jane is in no way unhappy with her circumstances, I just wanted everything resolved for my own "happiness" LOL

It looks like there might be a new enemy, as well some new allies! Can't wait to meet everyone in the next book!

Another quick but good instalove story between a sexy silver warrior and a kidnapped detective. Aggar and Jane were a good match and were both instrumental in pushing the story arc further as we discover more about the Gretolics plans for Valose.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I can't stop daydreaming and telling everyone about this book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A great read with all the feels. I would read again.
⭐⭐⭐ - I liked the book but wouldn't it read again.
⭐⭐ - Usually in the DNF pile or I suffered until the end for whatever reason.

This was a fascinating story, I loved it! Aggar and Jane are a great couple. Jane is a very strong woman; she is not afraid to ask questions that need to be asked regardless of who they are. She survived on the crashed ship by hiding and didn’t want help, but is drawn to Aggar. She did not realize all that she would be in store for, as she continued her journey on the planet. Jane has very few memories, but starts to remember some things based on what happens to her. There is a lot of action and well developed characters, it is definitely worth reading.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This series gets better with each new book. I loved these characters and the situations they found themselves in. I love that these books have a consistent level of action woven throughout, I was kept on my toes. So many of these alien romances are sex forward, and have storylines that are flimsy at best. I love that this one manages to have an actual storyline overall and yet has each individual romance in each book. This was another great addition to the series and I look forward to more from Iona Storm in the future.

Omg! I’m loving this series! I loved catching up with all the characters in this series! Aggar and Jane were great together! Having lost her memory, Jane finds it hard to trust Aggar. She learns in time she can count on him. They’re getting closer to figuring out who is really behind everything happening on Valose. I loved this action packed, suspenseful alien romance! I can’t wait to get Silver Scout the next book in the Warriors of Valose series! It’s going to be so good!

Captured and Captivated

I love alien romance with a mouthy female lead. Jane woke up on a lab table with grey aliens leaning over her. With no memories of how she got there or even her name she struggles to survive when the alien ship crashes. Fortunately for her, Aggar, another alien is determined to catch her because she is his forever mate and he doesn’t mean her any harm. Their interactions were comical and they deserved their HEA.

This series just keeps getting better. Intense and action filled. Jane is the heroine of the story and she is an amazing character. From the start she shows defiance and strength. Then there is Aggar. He has been in all the stories but now we get to hear more about him and the human female that has captivated him. The story behind the series is getting more intense as we find answers but also more questions. Can’t wait for the next silver alien.

Jane and Aggar

Jane had been in the exam room when the alien vessel crashed. She hid in the small places of the ship when the Valosians rescued the other girls. Now Aggar came back to find her and make a funeral pyre for the girls who died. She can't remember who she is, but calls herself Jane.

Life goes on

Aggar's book doesn't disappoint. Damn those little grey aliens! Always getting in the way. But the plot thickens. A nice happily ever after. Still an ongoing resolution to the invasion of the planet. Good series. Need to read in order, not really stand alone novels.

Very good

The story is getting interesting. Read these books in a row, it will make more sense. The two main characters in this story learn to trust each other, not easy with a lost memory from one of them. I recommend this book and the whole series. Very action oriented.

More twists than a pretzel

You have to read these books in order to try and understand the convoluted story line. This bad person is now good, the trust is misplaced and I want to beeyotch slap the boys for fighting over their sandbox.

I have stopped reading all my other series just to finish this one. This is book 4, and we are still fighting the stupid grey aliens. Along, with another silver elf finding his mate. The cliff hangers are driving me crazy but on word I go.

Still fighting and unfortunately some are lost 😕. This series definitely keeps you turning pages just to see what happens next 😃. It's frustrating though, cuz it seems like they'll never beat them 😉. Thanks again Iona, can't wait to read another 🤓.
