I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
Well this is a hot little morsel of Daddy kink.... and it was #ClassicChara
What I loved: - Daddy Damien who was a 40-year old, recently divorced man, who has been gay and denying himself for decades. #TheRealMe - Jack was a first time rent boy who was in over his head but had no other way to make a living. #FirstTimeForEverything - Jack stuttering and being awkward all through the novella was adorable. #SweetAsHoney - Daddy Damien getting all caveman on Jack and wanting him all to himself. #Mine - The sex... This is Chara book, so the steam-o-meter is bound to be high. Damien has never had gay sex before and he gave all his first to Jack who was more than willing to take them all. #AllForMe - All the endearments: daddy, baby, sweetheart... #PetnameGallore
Niggles: I wanted more... an epilogue at least because I wanted more sweet daddy time. #More
I read most of these stories and the ones I read were pretty good. I skipped the ones that didn't appeal to me.
A Leap of Faith (MM) M.A. Innes – 3 stars
While I loved the daddy/little parts of this short, I wasn’t a fan of the BDSM parts.
I love established couples who are trying out age play for the first time (or when one of them is a secret little like in this one). But I was a bit disappointed that these guys also liked the Dom/sub relationship they had. I’m just not a fan of BDSM these days. And while there wasn’t any real BDSM on page, the kneeling and the whole Dom/sub vibe always turn me off.
Daddy’s Rent Boy (MM) Chara Croft – 4 stars
I really liked this one. There was plenty of hurt/comfort and ticked all my happy buttons. Although I did want more. This is basically one extended sex scene and that’s it. I would have loved to read an entire book about these two.
Sculptures and Snuggles (MM) by Della Cain - 4 stars
Normally I’m not a fan of second chance romance, but this was all rainbows and puppies, so I had no issue with that part. The reason I don’t like second chance romance overall is because there often is a lot of anger and resentment. But not here. It was all happy kisses an lovely cuddles.
Dirty Deed (MM) by Gianni Holmes – 3 stars
I waited too long to review this so I honestly don’t remember a lot. I just remembered that I thought Noah was a bit too bratty and Sawyer a bit too stiff.
Daddy Abroad (MM) by P.D. Carter – DNF
Couldn’t get into it because of the flashbacks. One moment we get one MC meeting a potential love interest only for him to decide it’s just sex. That chapter ends with him moving away, and the next chapter we get the two MCs already together (I think?). It was confusing.
Dirty Hand (MM) by Nora Phoenix – 3.5 stars
This was quite cute. I did feel like something was missing at times, but overall I liked it. I did wait too long after finishing to review this so the details are a bit vague…
I was reading the reviews for this book and saw most people didn’t read the mmf books. So I was you know what I’ll give it a try, maybe I’m starting like mf again. NO!!! I’m disturbed actually. Twiddledee was a little who wanted and mommy and daddy and guess what? He gets them. Umm sorry if this comes across as a double standard but the mommy kink wasn’t cute/hot at all for me. And when he nursed her?? I was out of there soon after that. Also the writing style was stilted. So yeah I’m staying far far far far far far away from m/f and mmf.
Omfg, I loved everything about this story. I loved the hurt, the comfort, the big innocent needy eyes, the whimpers, the dirty talk, the begging, the doubts, the tears, the hope, the boy’s hurtful past, the strong Daddy, and the future in prospect. It was a delicious steamy story, awesomely written, very appealing, and entertaining.
There’s something for everyone here. I enjoyed the MA Innes and Gianni Holmes but like a lot of shorter stories I found them glossing over a lot of stuff to get to the happy ending.
But I’m not complaining too much. These are like a nice snack between books.
Great anthology, with a mix of queer pairings to match different tastes. My review focuses on two m/m stories, but I may add to it.. A leap of faith by M.A. Innes The story features Harper & Bailey: they have a sub/Dom relationship where they meet quite regularly at a club, but Bailey is a Little and wants a Daddy. As they enter this new arrangement and take their relationship to a new level their connection deepens and feelings definitely get involved… Sweet and quite romantic!
Daddy’s Rent Boy by Chara Croft This is Damien & Jack’s story. Damien is recently divorced, and is in Vegas for his brother’s weeklong bachelor party. His brother hires him an escort, and Damien is shocked that his brother has suspected his carefully hidden and suppressed sexuality. Jack is young, has a history of past abuse, and finds himself escorting for the first time to make ends meet. The story is quite insta-everything, as it actually happens over one night. It’s super hot and steamy (as one expects from Chara Croft) .
Admittedly I only read the Chara Croft story but looking at the descriptions of the other stories I can see there is a mixture with ff mfm as well as mm so something for everyone. There's a ton of great writers there too
George and Jack have smoking chemistry from the jump. They have an unusual meet cute that I won’t spoil. They fall into a relationship that both did not see coming and hotness ensues. So many sexy scenes. 🔥🔥🔥 The HEA is just what you want too.
I will give mini-reviews as I got because I'll forget later. This is for charity so I can be pretty forgiving/generous for books with a good cause. 3.5* overall
#1: A Leap of Faith - two guys who've had a casual thing in traditional BDSM finally face the reality that one is a little and he finally confesses. The second has never done a Daddy thing but agrees to try. I liked that they already knew each other and just had to change the way they thought about their relationship and work out the new dynamic. 4*
#2: Daddy's Rent Boy - a 40 year old just divorced (from a woman) man goes to Vegas for his younger brother's bachelor party. His brother buys him a party favour, a young male prostitute. But it's the young man's first time tricking as he's crashing on a friend's couch after a bad relationship. This went too fast. First the guy freaks out (never really admitted he's gay). Within hours (if not minutes) he's decided he's keeping the kid and takes to gay sex/Daddy like a pro. It just moved too fast for me. It only lasts about 12 hours and they are in a committed relationship and know nothing about each other. Just not my style I guess. 2.5*
#3 Daddy, At Your Service - My first f/f Daddy book. Cami is a girl (not a little) and Grey is an older Daddy. It was cute with two women who suffered traumatic losses of parents in as kids and deal with the fallout. I hope that Cami gets some more therapy to deal with her issues, because her guilt is going to kill that relationship. But it was good for my first one. 3.5*
#4 Sculptures & Snuggles - This is a second chance romance where a couple Daddy/little - broke up in university when the little wouldn't come out to his family. Years later the Daddy, a quasi-famous sculptor is back in town to unveil a big project and runs into his little. They instantly connect again and the Daddy finds out the little did come out, but the information got lost. It was nice that their original break-up wasn't acrimonious or due to something awful so getting back together didn't cause much drama. 4*
#5 Dirty Deed - A rich young man is kicked out of college for sleeping with his prof and changing his grades. His father sends his lawyer partner to pick him up and bring him home. The kid didn't want to go to college anyway and is a trouble maker and the partner is asked to take him in until the father gets home. Lots of background comes out about why the kid started acting up (as a late teen I suppose) and there is a sub-story of the lawyer representing a scumbag who abuses boys. Once you find out the history the behaviour makes total sense and I liked how the perfectly straight laced lawyer had hidden depths. Also and IR story as an FYI. Maybe a bit too much plot for a short story, but okay. 3.5*
#6 Butcher's Baby Girl - Didn't read this one
#7 Slippery When Wet - A young man who can't seem to find his place in BDSM tries little night at a friend's club. He sees a hot guy but no connection. At his job, he falls off a ladder right into hot Daddy's arms. He hurts himself and hot Daddy takes him home and they talk about whether he is a little as hot Daddy is looking for one. It moves pretty fast, they practically move in together (or plan to) after a week, but I liked the tentative Daddy who didn't want to push and after a bad experience with someone who faked it was wary of a newbie to the lifestyle. 3.5*
*8 Daddy Abroad - I just couldn't get into this. There are lots of time shifts, starting 2 years ago, different people, I couldn't get into it. - just not my style
#9 Van - don't read m/m/f - no comment on the story
#10 Secrets & Princess Dresses - don't read m/m/f - no comment on the story
#11 Dirty Hand - A young man unsure of his place in the kink community (and dreaming of a lumberjack who can be delightfully dirty and a Daddy) gets mugged on his way home and is rescued by a guy who ... just happens to be a lumberjack. They mesh perfectly and agree to spend 2 weeks together while the lj is on leave so he can try being a Daddy and the boy can be kinky/dirty and benefit from some care and love. It was cute and I think played to a few stories in this anthology with the idea that there is no cookie cutter Daddy/boy (girl) relationship. It can be whatever works for you. 4*
So on the whole the stories I read were good. Some I connected with more than others but that's bound to happen with so many authors. I did find several errors though, words that were wrong or changed, but not unbearably so and for a good cause.
This is an ARC review for Chara Croft's 'Daddy's Rent Boy.'
Damien has recently finalized his divorce and is in Vegas to celebrate his brother's wedding. When he arrives he's to tired to meet the guys at the bar so he goes to the hotel where his brother anticipated his cop out and has sent him a 'party favor'.
The party favor turns out to be Jack. He's sweet, shy, and a bit scared too. Jack was recently kicked out of his boyfriend's home and is currently homeless. To make money he started working as a rent boy. This is his first night and he can't seem to do anything right to make the client happy at first.
I absolutely loved this story. Jack is such a sweetheart and Damien 'Daddy' is perfect for him. I loved seeing Damien embracing the side of him he's always kept hidden from others. Especially his wife. IMO She didn't deserve such a wonderful man.
The book is low angst. It's written in both Damien and Jack's POV. There is no cheating. There is a HEA.
I was a tad disappointed in the end just because I was hoping for an epilogue of about 6 months down the road.
This review is for Chara Crofts Story Daddy's Rent Boy! omg another 🔥🔥🔥 little story from one of my top faves, she never disappoints!!!! although this was HOT is was also incredibly sweet in places 🥰🥰 I need more of Jack and his daddy Damien ❤❤❤
This is a review of Chara Croft's contribution to this anthology. Damien and Jack meet under less than ideal circumstances, but they quickly learn that everything happens for a reason. Jack is so fragile and delicate that I just wanted to smother him with love and security....and the way Damien naturally wants to protect and care for Jack had my heart melting. These two men are both completely inexperienced in what they are facing, but it is evident that they are perfectly matched and deserve all that they desire. This story was an awakening for both characters and was incredibly beautiful to see unfold. I would love to see a full length novel starring these two.
Daddy's Rent Boy by Chara Croft Loved this! The whole book took place in less than 24 hours I think. Lots of action though! I loved the insta vibe of it. 4½ stars
Van: Doctor Richard's Little's 32 - Pepper North: 1.5 stars
Secrets and Princess Dresses - Jamie Merrick: 3.5 stars
Dirty Hand - Nora Phoenix: 4 stars
Overall rating: 3.7 stars
A pretty strong and enjoyable anthology. Be sure to read them all—you may be surprised by which ones you like.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I ducked out of reading the couple of stories between girls (yeah, chicken that I am); but the others were mainly OK.
My only quibble was with Pepper North's "Van". Van is 'curious' and thinks he wants both a Daddy and a Mommy; and then he meets Collette and Ford who are looking for a Little. There appears to be little to no negotiation between Van and the other two - he just has to do what they say - even though he sometimes expresses concern about not truly understanding what they want him to do. Bringing in Dr. Richard takes it over the top for me, since Van is forced into using the diaper he's dressed in - even though he'd previously expressed doubt about peeing. This scene reflects abuse (for me) - since not one of them are LISTENING to Van. I've read previous Dr Richard's Littles stories, so I know what to expect. This one didn't come up to scratch at all.
Review for Daddy's Rent Boy by Chara Croft: When a man finds the most perfect boy, his inner Daddy just can’t help but be let free. This delicious story pushed every.single.one of my deep and delightful buttons for needy boys and nurturing Daddies. Jack is desperate to please and Daddy Damien is busting to give that perfectly needy boy everything. Completely sappy sweet, sizzling hot and a deep, DEEP emotional well of NEED! I adored it and could not get enough. Yet another Chara Croft book to add to my repeat list when I need an OTT sweet palate cleanser and to satiate my hunger for needy, needy boys.
Dirty Daddies Pride consists of 11 stories. So far I've had the privilege to ARC read 2 of them.
Daddy's Rent Boy by Chara Croft This story was really amazing. I loved it so much. Jack is such a needy sweetheart and Damien just the Daddy he needs. They are perfect together. Their story was sweet, sexy, hot, full of feels and very well written.
Sculptures and Snuggles by Della Cain. I loved this one very much. This story is a second chance story. Dustin and Preston are perfect together. Their story was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
Story #1 A Leap of Faith by M.A. Hines: 3.5 stars, daddy/little and Dom/sub kinks. This one just wasn't fleshed out enough for me. I get having characters that already have a relationship, even if it's only been kinky via club scenes, but I needed more nonsexual character development personally. I wanted to know about their jobs and families and friend etc, not just their kink.
Story #2 Daddy's Rent Boy by Chara Croft: WHAT?! why. So this was actually super good, and then it ended. It ended and I realize it's a short story but damn having a chapter set outside of their one night and some brief conversations about all of Jacks trauma and perhaps Damien's brothers reaction etc, would've made this 100x better. Honestly kind of annoyed at this one. Perhaps short stories aren't my jam because I just want more. 3.5⭐
Story #3 Daddy, at your service by Eden Bradley: FF romance. This is by far the most thought out if the stories and I liked it a lot. I do wish Grey would've pushed Cami a bit more to open up bc Cami's issues will 100% ruin that relationship if she doesn't work on them. I struggle with FF romance bc of my own internalized aphobia around my body, but this was okay and I managed to make it through the sex scenes. 4⭐
Story #4 Sculptures and Snuggles by Della Cain: 5⭐ by far the best yet. I knew I'd love this one since I loved all the other Della Cain books I've read, and this was so perfect. It's an second chance story with daddy/little kink and almost all sex scenes are basically fade to black. There's lots of character traits and plot and not just sex which was awesome. Highly recommend.
Story #5 Dirty Deed by Gianni Holmes: this was a solid little story. The age gap was a little much for me (24 years) but I liked that it was sweet and fluffy from the start. Noah is a bit of a brat who just wants a little more attention and caring and Sawyer is there to help him. Please give me more Black queer characters is kinky romance. Black bisexual MC, white gay MC 4⭐
Story #6 Butcher's Baby Girl by Siobhan Smile: 5⭐ YALL THIS WAS SO GOOD! it's a FF romance and I just lived for it. I'm super salty that so many people skipped the stories in this anthology that had queer women in them, they are missing out. This has a black bisexual trans MC and a white butch MC. It's adorable and lovely even with a bunch of heavy stuff and CWs. CW: rape, assault, homophobia
Story #7 Slippery When Wet by Morticia Knight: this was very sweet and fluffy and everything just slotted into place. There no drama or trauma so if you're looking for a light read this is the one. It's got age gap and age play. 4⭐
Story #8 Daddy Abroad by PD Carter: DNF. After some massive biphobia and then the use of the term "gold star gay" I had to get the fuck outta there. This is not the story for me and it's extremely disappointing to see it at all but especially in a Pride collection. Dear gay men in relationships with bi men, women are not your enemy and women aren't banshees or whores etc. Bi men are valid and not less than. Get over yourselves.
Story #9 Van: Dr. Richard's Littles by Pepper North: OH MY GOD THIS IS AWFUL. HORRENDOUS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. literally the worst age play/bdsm rep ever. There's zero communication or discussion just jumping into a poly relationship. The mommy/daddy convince the boy to quit his job and move in with them on the first day. They don't talk about limits or safewords or experience. Absolutely awful. Seriously this is dangerous rep. I am ANGRY at this story and the face that so many people seem to think this is safe and accurate kink rep. It's creepy and abusive and toxic and should by no means be a part of anyone's favorite list and it most certainly shouldn't be in a Pride collection. I dont' even think I can muster up 1⭐ for this. so maybe negative ⭐'s.
Story #10 Secrets and Princess Dresses by Jamie Merrick: this is a MMF and it was way better than I expected. They need to ditch Pepper North and have Jamie Merrick write the MMF stories because damn it was good and made me want to read the other books she's written. It's got two daddies and a little girl, which I didn't know if I could handle, but it was actually super super good. Definitely recommend. 5⭐
Story #11 Dirty Hand by Nora Phoenix: I had a strong suspicion I would enjoy this one since I've loved her other books, and I definitely wasn't wrong. It couldn't been longer and I would've loved to see more of the soft and cuddly sides of Jack and George, but it was still a good story. I'd also have loved a little more emotional vulnerability on page vs just telling us after the fact. 4⭐
As a whole this is a decent anthology with a couple wonderful stand outs. If you read any of these I'd recommend the following:
Secrets and Princess Dresses by Jamie Merrick (MMF) Butcher's Babygirl by Siobhan Smile (FF) Sculptures and Snuggles by Della Cain (MM)
A brief note about people who refuse to read the ones with women in them: please analyze your reasoning. If the only queer books you read EVER are MM romance I'd like you to reconsider. Branch out. do better. I love MM romance, and I have my own reasons for favoring queer men when I read adult romance, but it cannot be all you read. I loved that this anthology had variety in the pairings but wanted to scream when I read reviews that just said "I dont read MMF or FF". It's unfortunate because you really missed out. Two of my favorites from this were a FF and MMF story and they deserve all the love and attention that you give mediocre MM stories. Just some food for thought.
Also, please stop reading Pepper North books, they're toxic and dangerous representation of kink.
This deliciously steamy Daddy/boy short was *everything* I didn't know I was looking for. The anticipation, the feels, the hot as heck drawn-out bliss of overstimulation built and built until I thought I was going to explode. In so few words, Damien and Jack drew me in, not just into their passionate lovemaking but into their very souls. Maybe I didn't get the chance to know everything about them, but I knew enough to see how impossibly perfect they were for each other.
The idea that Damien had repressed his needs for so long, to the point where his brother had to hire him a rent boy to encourage him to let go, was fascinating. I was expecting some suave, practiced flirt to show up at his door, but instead it was sweet, anxious Jack. Jack, who'd never done this before, who was desperately seeking something he didn't even understand until Damien gave it a name: Daddy. As their night continued, it was intoxicating to see Jack slip deeper and deeper into his own desire to be a good boy. It was stunning just how natural his need to please was, how deeply reassuring it was for him to have someone else calling the shots. In between those moments of bliss, I learned a surprising amount about what his life before had been like and it did break my heart to think of how much this sweet boy had suffered before Damien. Jack was so earnest in his emotions, so expressive and needy that I wanted to promise him the entire world just to keep him feeling safe and warm and loved. Luckily Damien was on the same page, and I could see his protective instincts coming out in full force as he realized that Jack wasn't faking their connection.
On the surface, this story was a single night of passion, less than a full 24 hours of two strangers getting to know each other, but the reality was so much deeper than that. Jack and Damien made me believe their instant sparks of attraction and showed me that one night is sometimes all it takes to be sure that you've found your life partner. Their attraction burned hot and bright, and I cannot believe how much juicy pleasure they managed to squeeze out of each other in a story this short, but their connection was the opposite of fleeting. No, I didn't really get any closure about their future apart from knowing they weren't parting ways after a single night, but I didn't need it to know, deep in my bones, that these men would do whatever it takes to stay in each other's lives.
**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.
This was a bit of a mixed bag and it took me all month to finish it, but I was much happier with it overall than the last Dirty Daddies anthology that I read since these are all LGBT+ stories. All together, it was an average of 3.9 stars for me, but these were the stand-outs:
A Leap of Faith by M.A. Innes -- 5 stars (of course!) I saved this one for last, and I'm SO glad that I did! I love that Bailey and Harper have been scene partners for a while now but haven't managed to communicate themselves into a relationship until Harper finally forces his sub to talk. Hot, sweet, funny, dirty, and lovely!
Daddy's Rent Boy by Chara Croft -- also 5 stars (of course!) I'm glad I started out with this one, since Mama Chara is always sweet and filthy. This is no exception, and I loved Damien taking control of Jack. I only wish I had a little more about them. And maybe a little more about how Marcus knows his brother so well, too?
Sculptures and Snuggles by Della Cain -- the last of my 5 star stories, I adored seeing Dustin and Preston get their long-overdue HEA with each other. With all the things both of them went through, their reunion was absolutely delicious. Lovely writing style, too.
My 4.5 stories were Daddy, At Your Service by Eden Bradley and Dirty Hand by Nora Phoenix. Of course I liked Dirty Hand (c'mon, it's Nora Phoenix!), but I was pleasantly surprised how well written Daddy, At Your Service was and how much I enjoyed it. I'll have to look up more books by that author.
My least favorite was Daddy Abroad by P.D. Carter, but it may have just been the time line switching between the two characters and their histories before they made contact with each other. I just didn't gel with this author's writing style. It's an anthology, what're ya gonna do, ya know?
Notably, I was surprised by how ok I was with Pepper North's story here. I haven't enjoyed the Dr. Richard's Littles books I've read in the past, but maybe I liked this one better since it was MMF instead of MF? Maybe.
So, not a bad experience, and I was very happy to read some of my favorite authors here. I'm still probably going to hesitate when the next Dirty Daddies comes out and wait for another LGBT+ anthology instead.
Daddy’s Rent Boy by Chara Croft makes this anthology worth it on its own. The story was amazingly hot and majorly sweet. I just love these characters - Jack is so sweet and vulnerable, and Damien is exactly what he needs. I loved the story so much I read it twice. This alone makes the anthology worth it. Although it is a complete story with an HEA, I loved the characters so much I hope they get expanded into a novel.
Slippery When Wet had a great meet cute and I loved Ellery. The daddy wasn’t as fleshed out for me although we get some backstory. It does feature age play (if that isn’t your jam). The story ended a little abruptly with a few loose ends, although it was certainly an HFN. This wasn’t first read by this author, but I’ll definitely check out more by them.
Reviewing Morticia Knight's story, Slippery When Wet. This is not a review of the entire anthology, but I may edit my rating and review later as I explore the other stories.
Slippery When Wet
A short, sweet story of a mysterious Daddy, looking for his perfect boy, and a boy, who’s not sure if he’s a boy but knows he needs something more from BDSM than he’s ever had before.
The author focuses on the connections the two men can make through their kink, rather than the mechanics of the kink itself. The characters’ emotions jump off the page, from their inherent need for what the other offers to the fulfillment each gives as their relationship grows.
Calvin is mysterious – not really well known in the club and hasn’t seem to made many connections with the boys he scenes with. He had one bad experience a long time ago, and isn’t willing to take a risk unless he meets just the right man. Ellery has a Little friend, but hasn’t ever experienced being a Little, but realizes that maybe his sense of responsibility, of “being an adult,” has suppressed his joy in things that actually align perfectly with the lifestyle.
A beautiful short. Definitely leaves you wanting to know even more about the two and how their relationship continues to evolve.
I loved reading Pepper North's, Van: Dr Richard's Littles #32 it was an enjoyable fast fun story, and now I can't wait to read the rest of the stories in the Dirty Daddy's Pride anthlogy. Van knew he was a little and dreams of finding a Daddy and Mommy of his own so when he was matched with the Playtime app, he couldn't wait to meet Ford and Colette hoping that they were the ones he'd been seaching for and start living the life he's always dreamed of together, forever.
I only read Chara Croft's story so far, so this review is about that. I'll update my review when I read the other stories too ;)
Daddy's Rent Boy
I'm always enjoying Chara's stories. You can't go wrong with them, they are always hot and spicey. Add Daddy kink into the mix and voilá, yummy!
The story is a short one, but I think it's a bit overwritten. The starting scene and the whole 'meeting a rent-boy who is a present from the brother' situation was really good and exciting, but both character were so slow and the story was just stuck in one place. I found that part a bit boring because I just wanted them to fall in bed immediately. Sorry, there are times when I really can't stand slow burn, especially if it's in the erotica catergory. Anyway, I still enjoyed it after they finally went with the flow.
One night stand turning into a forever love story, spiced with age gap and first time escort/rent boy. Great story!
Eleven authors with brand new stories and a daddy theme that I am already considering bailing out of. This was not what I was expecting from the single book listing I signed up to review. I was supposed to review “DADDY ABROAD” by P. D. Carter. I didn't like this one. The blurb describes David as a reserved, mature divorced Daddy and Michael as a stir-crazy sex starved expat; their secret quarantine “sexcapades” are revealed on returning to work. It takes no more than a page or two to dislike Michael. He was pretty disgusting to me right from the start because he was shallow, not the caring, loving characters I would normally be reading. I wasn’t even aware the story was part of an anthology, but looking them over did not inspire one to keep reading.
This is not a book I would recommend. I’ve read and reviewed many books and this story doesn’t come close to reaching the “bar” those other books set.
