The thrilling continuation of the Uluru Legacy Series.

While some questions will be answered, more will be raised. As new truths come to light, and new evils make themselves known, not everyone will survive.

The vision for a new Colony is at stake as Amelia and Roan discover they’re part of something even larger than they thought.

A delicious and compelling continuation of the story that captured the attention of audiences earlier this year. A book with bite, that doesn’t disappoint.

Amelia and Roan have a vision for the Colony, but there are shadows that have been in the dark for a long time and are ready to come out and play. What will it cost them to keep the Colony safe and make their vision come true?

Thank you Anna for sending me a copy of this book early, but now I need the next one immediately!! I think what I loved most about this book was the way the plot began to develop more and the world-building really kicked it up a notch. And then it left you wanting so many answers and so much more of the story!

And don't get me started on the plot twists! The romance really amps up during this book, and I absolutely loved the direction that it's going. I can't wait to see the drama and emotion of it all and I can't wait to see where it will take the characters. These characters are really changing and finding themselves in this story, and I really enjoyed watching them on this journey.

My only wish for the book (and the series as a whole) is that it would have had more descriptions, of things like the setting and the world around the kids. It would just make the world so much richer!

If you like paranormal romance, please check this series out! You will not regret it!

Where to even start.

An extremely powerful story of a young Woman, determined to to rise to the challenges of her new position and life.

Anna created a relatable protagonist whose personal growth is admirable, and relatable.

As Amelia and Roan now settle into their new life. Betrayal and deception come to the surface and Amelia is forced to make a choice to act or risk the life of her new family. Make new alliances to bring together a new world and security for the colony.

They say books in specific genres follow the same basic formula. But Anna has dared to step outside the box from your typical Vampire werewolf story, and has given us a new aspect. She has developed a new culture and with it a understanding instead of to enhance or expanding it.

The world-building is so beautifully done it’s as if we get to travel to Australia. Your truly get a understanding from the train.

We explore more of the outback, wail Roan searches for something or someone. His determination is nothing to take lightly. As he won’t let anyone waver his faith. No matter the tension it may cause.

The new cast of characters is excellent. Trenton in particular, is wonderfully nuanced and complicated. Despite his flaws, it’s a pleasure to see his physical and emotional growth.

With so many new people in the colony issues are bound to arise and Trenton is determined to show Amelia how flawed and reckless her dreams could be.

The unexpected ending is a fitting denouement to an epic and memorable series.

This book picks up right where Garkain left off. I was so appreciative for the way Walner refreshes the reader’s memory without being redundant. I read this within 2 days and look forward to the third. This young adult series is packed with moral dilemmas, the importance of good communication, family bonds, forgiveness, and acceptance. The very strong female mc, Amelia, is def someone I would love to be friends with.

FINALLY we get to read the second book of this AMAZING and romantic series about vampires and "werewolves", of the AMAZING, Anna J Walner. OK. On the review of the first book, we told you guys that Garkain had best-selling potential and should become a best-seller. Well then, we were ABSOLUTELY correct, because Garkain, not long after we published that review, actually became an Amazon Best-selling book on its category! Yes! That's correct, Garkain is an Amazon Best-selling book. Yes. And yes, you want to read the review and get yourself the first book before you read this one. Hehehe.
Larougo.
Anna J Walner starts off the book with a lightning fast and effective recap of everything that happened in the previous book and "just like that" we are back into the present book, back into the series that is rolling off with the current events and the current worries of the couple, Amelia and Roan. It's subtle and effective. Why are we putting this into relevance? Because, it takes some good amount of skill to do a recap that keeps the reader interested, doesn't spoil the book, makes the reading of the current book feel like a stand-alone while relaying all the information needed in order for the reader to continue without having to worry. It's impressive indeed. Love it!
The romance scenes and dynamics are top tier, specially between Amelia and Roan, as they flawlessly blend into a unit as couple and you can just feel the love they have for each other, and that lights up the novel a lot allowing Anna J Walner space to use this "lighting" in her favour when she wants to make the novel darker, which is something very smart on her part and very well thought.
We love how Anna J Walner starts throwing small hints, reactions and possibilities that create dread and imagery of catastrophe in the near future, setting mysteries on every side and growing the image of the villain in a very subtle way while moving the book in a fast pace and keeping the romance through it all, it's amazing. The family issues that aren't yet revealed and the brewing storm on the distance that threatens to destroy the whole possibility of a new race, even though there are alliances on the making, is enticing, making us want to devour the whole book at once just so we can know what is really going on on the background! Add all of that, to the fact that Amelia is pregnant and her feeding needs are growing by the minute, and her emotions are now on the edge at all times, then we know that loads of chaos are awaiting us and that this won't be a smooth ride of a book, at all.
Now, here's the thing with this book and Anna J Walner's narrative and plot. Yes, it IS romance, yes, and VERY well written, no doubt, but even in all the loveliness and all the cuteness and all the pampering and emotions, this book will leave you on your edge, on the tip of your toes while you are reading it. Anna will not give you a single moment of peace of mind and relaxation as she will keep implying and suggesting, every so lightly, ever so indirectly, that something WILL go wrong sooner than you expect and EVEN when problems are solved, you KNOW that they aren't completely out of possibility, at all, and you don't know enough for you to make deductions while Anna is also forcing you not to focus on what's going on on the background. THAT'S how you make a book thrilling! And THAT’s how the pros do it! LOVE IT!
The smoothness of the read, the uninterrupted flow of the book, the solid feeling of the characters, the flawless dialogue and realistic interactions, the mystery, the consequences, the romance, the always present emotions and excitement, it's all so gripping, so interesting that you cannot take your eyes off the book, and as the pages turn and count up to the last, you wish you had another 300 left to read because the story is SOOOO well written!
We got new powers, revelations, HIGH tension, emotions on overdrive and much much more, ohhh this book is so good, and when it comes to gore, Anna J Walner will go from 0 to 100 in less than a second! Things will happen so fast that you won't even know what's going on.
One cannot dislike this book, not even if one tries real hard, it is amazingly well written, and Amelia, our main character is one of the best female MCs out there, not only because of her maturity, her grit, leadership abilities that are learned and not "given", her savvy decisions and her emotional intelligence, but also because she feels real! Anna J Walner made a GREAT JOB when it comes to the characters here. She kept them steady, real, not "over the top", nor forced. It's an absolute pleasure to read them and read their interactions. Larougo is an AMAZING read, simply AMAZING, and it's the PERFECT continuation, the PERFECT transition for the final book. Larougo IS another best-seller in the making, no doubt, at all. This is AMAZING! Truly impressive, and the way she ended this book while opening the door to the next as she finally shows the villains... Priceless! I can't wait for the third book, because it will be AWESOME!

Pros:
• EXCELLENT NARRATIVE. Top tier. Flawless. PERFECT!
• EXCELLENT characters, very well constructed and kept, with new additions to the plot and new revelations that increased over what we already knew about them in the first book.
• EXCELLENT plot! This is one of the smoothest plotlines I’ve read, the story just flows all the way to the end uninterrupted
• EXCELLENT thriller and romance. This book does not let you put your guard down while you read, not even for a second, and yet, you are strangely relaxed while reading it.
• GREAT interactions between characters, and love the looming mist of secrets that everyone has because of their backstories and motives
• Great imagery descriptions and scenery build, it was vivid and colourful
• A pleasant and entertaining read all the way down, from the first to last word I didn’t want it to finish, but it did. Can’t wait for the next book!
Cons:
• None.

Favourite characters: Ambrose and Anatole
Lesson from the book: “Never trust your vampire mother”
Cover score: 9.0/10
Book score: 9.2/10

*Even Better Than Book One!!*

UNDERWORLD meets TWILIGHT with a touch of THE SECRET CIRCLE rubbed in for good measure - this series is just getting better!

The action ramps up as the past collides with the presents. The adventures heighten as new challenges present themselves in various forms. And the plot twists keep coming from the delightful mind of International bestseller, Anna J. Walner. This delightful series continues to impress me with the storyline and characters.

What I liked is, of course, the characters. You fall deeper in love with the original players in this new installment to the series, plus you are introduced to new ones to love, as well. A richer history comes to life and a more developed picture of who these cultures are is birthed forth in unexpected ways. I have so many questions I cannot wait to be answered, wondering if my guesses are close...

What I disliked was the abrupt end, but that's the definition of a cliffhanger, right? Building my interest, ensuring I'm invested, and leaving me wanting more... The author certainly nailed it. Now... the wait for book 3. I'm dying!!!!

‘I could hear a set of heartbeats that weren’t mine’ – a new direction for a solid saga

Texas author Anna J. Walner is a fresh new voice on the teen and YA scene, arriving with two series to date – THE ENROVIA SERIES (two books) and now THE ULURU LEGACY SERIES, of which LAROUGO is the second volume. She has established the Silver Dawn Publishing Company and now is well on her way to a very successful career.

Anna’s ability to weave both the real and unreal worlds of her story together is quite masterful. For those readers committed to tales of vampires and werewolves or other exotic themes, her manner of incorporating that realm with the contemporary world and life will likely satisfy as much as for those readers testing the waters of fantasy for the first time. The opening of her story embraces both locales, subtly: ‘Amelia laid quietly in her hotel be, concentrating on the frantic heartbeats inside her. Four months ago, she never thought that getting on a plane to Australia could change her life in so many strange and wonderful ways. She’d found her family, after looking for decades. And by doing so, she found so much more than she ever thought possible. She’d found a life worth dying for. A life she never knew existed. A life she couldn’t imagine any differently. She’d become a part of the Colony. A secret society formed hundreds of years ago by her ancestors, fleeing Europe to find safety in the heart of a new civilization. Both of their kinds, vampire and lycanthrope, existed now in a strained harmony in the Outback of Australia. When she chose to Unbind from her mortality, she also made a pact with the Larougo leader Anatole. She agreed to an arranged marriage, a joining, as hey called it….’

With that sensitive opening the author shares the significant incidents of Volume One and that fluid degree of creating characters of note and ideas of interest is characteristic of Anna’s new volume. The surprisingly unique tale has been condensed as follows: ‘While some questions will be answered, more will be raised. As new truths come to light, and new evils make themselves known, not everyone will survive. The vision for a new Colony is at stake as Amelia and Roan discover they’re part of something even larger than they thought. ‘

Richly imaginative, and sensitively written, this second book is more than a continuation of a story idea: this is a well thought out installment in a saga that may beg understanding at times, but grows in reader infatuation with an author unafraid to test boundaries of credibility. The initial response after completing this story: how soon may we expect volume three? And that is a true sign of Anna’s success.

The Review

A fantastic follow-up to the author’s first incredible supernatural thriller, author Anna J. Walner has hit it out of the park once more. The way the author built upon the mythos and legacy of this unique spin on vampires and lycanthropes was incredible to watch unfold in each chapter, as new elements of the mythos and new discoveries added layers upon layers of new mysteries and tension amidst the growing narrative.

The characters were so incredibly developed in this second installment. The complex nature of protagonist Amelia’s duality and her power set make her a fierce and devoted leader, and the twists and turns in her story amongst the other characters are what will keep readers invested throughout the narrative. From her shocking confrontation with her mother to the introduction of another complex element in her and Roan’s growing romance to the greater threat to the Colony overall growth over time, Amelia’s journey in this novel is evenly balanced with the mythology and action this novel has.

The Verdict

Entertaining, heart-pounding, and brilliantly gritty and original, author Anna J. Walner’s “Larougo” is a must-read novel of 2021. The perfect fall read for fans of the original story, this next chapter in the growing Uluru universe continues to add new changes to the mythos and engaging way the author addresses the supernatural in this tale, and the shocking cliffhanger will have fans eager for more.

Larougo was worth the wait! I was so nervous about reading the sequel to the five star Garkain but Larougo did not disappoint. ⠀

Amelia is one of my favorite heroine's right now. She's got so much on her plate, carrying triplets (awww), planning a wedding (swoon), and getting ready to run a new empire where Garkain and Larougo will be united. It's a tall order, especially when her own mother seems determined to stand in her way. She handles everything with a ferocious grace that I admire. I love how direct and unapologetic she is about protecting her chosen family.

Roan has a bit more personality in Larougo and I'm glad we get to see his inner conflict regarding his family and personal choices. He is very loving and attentive so I am rooting for him, even more after the shocking end to the story! ⠀

I really like the characters, new and returning, and how the clans are each so unique but open to trying to become one Colony. The new homestead is amazing and I love the description of how everything is being built brand new to start off the blossoming union of Garkain had Larougo. The main players have great side stories and motivations that move the plot along and make you feel like you're right there in the book. ⠀

I'm going to leave some of the intrigue introduced in Larougo as a mystery but be sure that this sequel is amazing and made me desperate for book 3! ⠀

Anna J Walner did it again folks!

This book is absolutely jaw dropping!

Larougo is the continued story of Amelia and Roan. It is a paranormal love story. Amelia and Roan are determined to bring together their Vampire & "Werewolf" packs to create a new united colony. Along the way they deal with surprise after surprise.

Larougo is very entertaining! I finished the book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. The storyline and characters are impeccable!

I loved how action packed the story got about half way through. Just as one situation concluded, BAM, something else happened.

This book definitely gave me vibes from the Twilight series except with a twist! :) So, if you love Twilight, most definitely check out this series!

I'm eagerly waiting to read book 3 to see what happens next! I can't believe the cliffhanger at the end!

I love Roan and Amelia so so much!!! I really enjoyed the growth of the characters. I will say, I loved this book, but I’m worried about where the series may be heading. If it heads in the direction I’m worried about then I will be very disappointed in the author and I will not read anymore of the series or her work. I’m tired of authors jerking us around. But, if she doesn’t head in the dreaded direction, I will adore this series and read it till the end. I am not saying this to be brutal, but I’m nervous about this and maybe that’s because I’ve seen so many authors pull these things and been extremely disappointed and got rid of the books and didn’t finish. I’m just hoping this author is smarter about what fans want from their stories.

Besides all of that, I thoroughly loved this second book in the series!!! As nervous as I am, I can’t wait for book three!!!

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. The way that the first book ended pulled on me to know what was going to happen next. I was glad that I have both books on hand, so I did not have to wait for it to continue. Amelia and Roan are so strong, and they know what they are after. It is all about keeping their families safe and they fall into their leadership roles and if created for them. There is so much emotion on the pages that I could not put the book down. I have to know what was next. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest. Anna J. Walner weaves a story that one cannot help but fall into like you are part of the story and taking that journey with the characters themselves.

I was given this ARC in exchange of an honest review.

This paranormal romance surprised me again and again! I never knew what was going to happen next and it was a fantastic ride!

This book is a continuation of Amelia and Roan's journey into their new roles as leaders of the Garkain and Larougo families. Amelia becomes more and more confident with herself and is bound and determined to make her presence known throughout this new community she's apart of.

If you're a fan of a fast-paced story with romance, betrayal, mystical beasts with lots of twists and turns then this is the book for you!

I highly recommend this book and cannot wait for the third book!

When I tell you I read this book so fast!! It was as if I was walking in the desert for five days and this book was the water that quenched my thirst!! I was simply BLOWN away!! Not only with the new factors but the twist that happened at the end! Along with new characters coming on and a whole new environment coming together. I loved this book so freaking much. Anna had a way with making you feel things you never felt while also giving you a heart attack. I simply enjoyed this story. A great second book in this series and I can't wait to see what happens with the third book!

This book was an amazing read. It was a truly great story that built up slowly giving me time to get to know the characters. Too often a book moves forward at such a fast pace it’s hard to remember who everyone is.

Larougo had a lot of characters, but I must admit, I hardly noticed until now, when I come to count them up. They blended in and became part of the bigger picture, which is why I didn't notice.

There were so many elements in this book that I enjoyed reading and in a way I felt like I was one of the family!

Anna J Walner did it again! What a great book!

Larougo starts right where Garkain left off with Amelia and Roan on their way back to Australia.

The character development was great and our main character grows more into her power and self confidence. She won’t take shit from everyone.

A very fast paced book that kept me on my toes the entire time! I read it in one sitting.

I can’t wait what happens next as the cliffhanger nearly killed me this time!

This is the second book in the Uluru Legacy. And the first thing that comes to my after finishing this book is WOW..

With the way book one ended, I was dying to dive into book two. I had to know what was going on. And I was not disappointed. Right from the start, Anna draws you back into this world and vision of vampires and werewolves. It starts out incredible, and keeps getting better. The characters she’s created in Amelia and Roan, they are wonderful. They take to becoming the new leaders amazingly. Amelia is strong, and kind. Fiercely protective of her family. Roan is strong, and reliable, and you can tell he’d do anything to keep his family, and new Colony safe. This book had me hooked. Dying to know what was going to happen next. There were twists I did not see coming, but I LOVED! I was glued to the pages, until the very end. I had to know. And then BAM.. she leaves us with that ending! I highly recommend this book. And book one. You will not be disappointed in the characters and the world that Anna has created. My only complaint… I need to know what happens next! Lol.
