To get as far away from her current situation as possible.
The out she so desperately seeks comes in the form of an arranged marriage to a man who makes no secret of the fact that he dislikes her.

Love it! Tall, brooding, dark, devastatingly handsome and broken hero, plus a heroine determined to live her life her way! Loved this book and was happy to see it move at the pave it did. No long, boring drawn out story line, and I experienced all the emotions as the characters. Now to read it with the latest updates!

First book to review after getting a GR Account (finally) and I liked it. The side characters were funny, the plot was mostly believable, the chemistry was hot and I am looking forward to the next book.

Cute, fast read
Even though I'm not a fan of the miscommunication trope, it was very well executed here, didn't cause unnecessary drama and was resolved quickly. Well done!

Zach de la Fuente was a man hell bent on revenge and bringing down the man he hated more than anything, Trent Stevens. He knew he had to pretend he wanted a business merger and then he could do what he wanted and make Trent suffer. Yet he wasn’t prepared when Trent said that Zach needed to marry his daughter for the deal to work.

Natalie Stevens has lived her life under the control of her father, Trent. She feared him and didn’t want to disappoint him so she did what she could to survive, even if it destroyed her reputation in the process. She dreamed of living her own life but knew her father would find her anywhere. She has no desire to marry Zach but it may give her a little more freedom in her own life.

Soon Zach realizes the life and the lies that revolve around Natalie and that all is not as it seems. Can he get over his hate and need for revenge with Trent to see the person that Natalie is?

This was a really good book that was kind of enemies to lovers with some more stuff thrown in.

At the beginning of the book Zach was an easy person to hate. You knew he has his reasons for hating Trent which were slowly revealed during the book but he did agree to marry Natalie with never meeting her. He was super cold with her but I did understand why he was hesitant to trust her given what was going on.

I think immediately you feel for Natalie as you see how her dad treats her and therefore you want her to be happy. She has dreams and goals, but she knows as long as her father is around she will never reach them. I loved what she wore to her wedding as it was one small victory for her over her dad. I loved also what she was able to do for herself in regards to the press and I was happy that was able to change her life a little bit.

There was a lot of attraction between Natalie and Zach but both had huge walls as they knew what this “marriage” entailed and how long they had to go along with it. Each did not trust the other and was very hesitant to form any type of relationship as they knew it had an expiry date.

There was a lot more going on with Zach’s businesses and that was intertwined with everything going on with both Trent and Natalie. I was very happy with Natalie was really open with Zach about her past and everything with her dad.

I was so happy to have things finally progress only to have a total flip of emotions and go back to stage one again. I was very happy with what Zach did for Natalie in regard to her goals.

The end made me so mad at what happened to Natalie and how her weakness was used against her. It definitely got very tense at the end and I was happy with how it all turned out except how a certain relationship completely imploded.

I was happy how the book ended and I look forward to more from this author!- Rebecca
