Baseball unites them but will their pasts tear them apart?

Cadence “Cadie” Collins has added a layer of ice around her heart after vicious rumors circulated around her small town high school. Now an adult, Cadie returns to her home town to work at a school and coach a baseball team. She had no idea her coaching would lead her right into the arms of baseball’s most notorious bad boy.

Professional baseball player Jayson Martinez is jaded by fame and nursing wounds left by his life's ex's. The media sees him as arrogant and cocky. But Jayson is not who everyone thinks he is. A chance encounter with a female baseball coach drives him to overcome his bad boy image in order to woo the woman of his dreams.

With kisses that leave her breathless, is Cadie willing to let Jayson all the way despite her past? And can Jayson confront his own demons to make it work with Cadie?

Callie Sommers is the pen name that I have created to tell the many stories that have been swimming around in my head for the past 15 years. I don't think of myself as a writer in any particular genre as I am figuring it out as I go. All of my writing is about human relationships. I love to figure out what makes people tick, and I want that to come out in my writing. I want my readers to know and love my characters as much as I do.

My mom taught me to read at a very young age and I have been devouring books ever since. I try and read one book everyday. There are so many books that I call favorites, but Midnight In The Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt is the book that made me fall in love with writing. So I suppose his "non-fiction novel" style is what I pattern my own writing after. Every good novel is grown from a kernel of truth.

This is a sweet mash up of small town and sports, which sounds typical but neither of the MCs behave as you would expect. My only negative is that I felt it ended abruptly.
