Elizabeth Strong had hoped after all this time, Steve Robinson would leave her alone. But his message is clear.
He’s not only coming for her; he also has his sights set on another woman who refused to testify against him back then. But since recently being made an unwilling accomplice to Robinson’s current criminal empire, she immediately goes to Elizabeth for help. With at least one dirty cop in the Silverton Police Department, and Detective Martinez being relegated to desk duty, the stakes are higher for both women this time around.
As the dangerous cat-and-mouse-game is just beginning, can Elizabeth and Martinez find a way to clean up the local police department and finally extract Steve Robinson from Elizabeth’s life for good? Or will she be plunged back into the path of the destruction that’s been following her for the past six years?
K.C. Turner grew up in the small Lake Erie town of Sandusky, Ohio, which helped to inspire her Elizabeth Strong Series. Her career has been multifaceted from writing legal briefs for the county prosecutor’s office to a weekly column in the local newspaper.
When she isn’t working, K.C. enjoys having deep, late-night conversations with her husband and taking long, afternoon naps with her loyal pit bull.
This is a well written book with strong ,likable characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job painting her scenes and pulling you in. She moves the story quickly and smoothly and delivers a fantastic read.

Elizabeth Strong has to face an old enemy again, Steve Robinson. But with the support of China, her boyfriend Detective Martinez, Danielle and Richard will manage to form a plan to hunt him down and the people who are helping him. It's not bad, but I can't say I loved it either. I expected a little more tension, anguish, drama, but the truth is that it has been a smooth read.
After Elizabeth Strong testified against Steve Robinson she thought she was safe again. But some how he has been released on parole and he is now back on the streets to threaten not only Elizabeth but his other victim that refused to testify against him. But with the help of her friends she is determined to put him back behind bars where he belongs.

I really liked this book. The ending is always written but it isn’t something I can anticipate how it ends. It’s fun to read the book where the location is so close to home and I recognize the names of the streets.
