Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Connor meets Bayleigh when he comes to Dimpled Balls mini golf to talk to her about Cherry Falls Days. Connor wants her help in planning the days events, her father suggested a mini golf tournament. Bayleigh's family owns Dimpled Balls mini golf and she is taking over the business from her parents, while Connor is the Captain of Cherry Falls police department. Bayleigh arrives the next day to the police department with the days events all planned. Bayleigh quickly leaves Connor when she realizes she is very attracted to him as he is to her. The next day it's raining so Bayleigh has no costomers, Connor sees her lights on so he stops by to see if everything is alright. Connor asks Bayleigh why she rushed out of his office, she doesn't want to confess her attraction to him. Connor tells her not to be afraid of him he tells her he wants to kiss her. Bayleigh tells him she wants that, but he asks her what if he wants more. Connor starts kisses Bayleigh as it thunders outside, he asks her if they can go someplace more private. They head to a private office in the back of the building, Connor continues to kiss her, striping off her clothes. Bayleigh orgasms and Connor asks her if she liked that. Bayleigh tells him she needs him inside of her, she asks him not to make her wait. Connor makes her come again on his face, but then he realizes something, she a virgin. Bayleigh heads out to get donations for the Cherry Falls Day when she goes into the Flower Patch and runs into Poppy 504 Lovers Ridge, Connor's daughter. Poppy and her friend Bela 202 Cherry Popper Way, invite Bayleigh out for lunch and head to Cherry Tree Coffee Company. Bayleigh finds out about Poppy's relationship with her father's former best friend. A few days pass before Bayleigh hears from Connor, she heads to the station for a meeting with him. Connor tells Bayleigh he's sorry for leaving the way he did but they have a business relationship, he wants to put what happened behind them. Connor gets down to business but Bayleigh can't let go of what he said to her. When he tells her he didn't mean to insult her she tells him she had a hard time taking it any other way. Connor tells her he has a lot of baggage, he doesn't want a relationship. She tells him just because things happened in the past doesn't mean they'll happen in the future. Connor tells her she needs to find someone her own age, Bayleigh rushes out of the police station. Cherry Falls Day's arrive, Connor and Bayleigh pose for pictures with the paper, she always has a smile for him no matter how he treats her. When Connor asks her if she needs to head over to the mini golf stations she tells him it's all ready to go, she's there to assist him. He tells her she doesn't have to do that, but she tells him it's on her schedule. When everyone starts lining up for the start of the race, Bayleigh encourages the two children she nanny's, Connor watches her, he knows he can't take having children away from her. After the day is over Connor invites all the volunteers over to his place for hamburger, he just asks everyone to stop by the store and pick up a dish to pass around. After everyone starts agreeing to come Bayleigh does as well. Connor decides he wants to tells Bayleigh he only wants a one time with her he doesn't want a relationship, now that the Cherry Falls Day is over. Bayleigh and Andrew are the last to leave Connor's home when the party's over, he tells his friend he needs him to leave. Andrew can't believe it's Bayleigh that Connor is interested in. Bayleigh tells him she didn't tell him the truth about her being on birth control, she can't have kids she's infertile. She tells him it's not something she like to talk about, she tells him he doesn't have to say anything. He tells her she could adopt, she tells him yeah problem solved. Everyone else arrives for the meeting and they carry on. When the meeting is over, everyone leaves but Bayleigh stays, Connor asks her if she needs to get back to her nanny job, she tells him she has a few minutes and wants to talk. Bayleigh asks him what if they went on a date, he tells her he not the relationship guy. He tells her yes it's because of his ex-wife, she tells him she's sorry. He tells her if he doesn't have any relationship he doesn't have to worry about how it will turn out. After Bayleigh leaves Connor heads to his office and closes all his blinds he doesn't want to be interrupted. Connor decides he needs to tell his daughter what happened to her mother, so he heads over to the Flower Patch and catches Poppy leaving. Connor tells Poppy that her mother died when she was ten and he never told her. Connor tells Poppy what happened and she thanks him for telling her, she always wonder why her mom didn't come back for her. Connor tells Poppy he needs some flowers, she asks then who they are for, but he tells her he's not ready to tell her just yet. Connor heads over to the Dimpled Balls mini golf and finds Bayleigh leaving with a guy about her age he watches them leave together. Connor heads to the dock in Kissme Bay, he needs to catch up with a friend. While at the docks he finds Bayleigh and the guy she left with, when another woman comes up to talk to Connor. Bayleigh sees them talking and a jealous streak runs though her, Connor takes the woman he's talking to and introduces her to his friend. Connor leaves the woman and his friend talking as they seem to hit it off. Connor tries to call Bayleigh but she doesn't answer, then he texts her but she doesn't answer. Bayleigh doesn't answers Connor, she's on a date, she took his advise and is going out with a guy her own age. Bayleigh doesn't feel the same attraction to this guy as she does with Connor, so she tells him she wants to go as friends. Then he sees a lifeless body on a stretcher being loaded into the ambulance. Connor's hearts stops and he's dead inside he can't go on if anything happened to Bayleigh. Connor runs to the ambulance and climb in asking how Bayleigh is, they fill him in on her vitals. When they arrive at the hospital he's asked to wait in the waiting room, while they stabilize her. When the doctors call him back they fill him in on how she is doing, they asks him if his questions can wait, he tells them they're dating. Connor steps up beside her bed and holds her hand then tells her he loves her. Bayleigh slowly wakes up and can hear voices, but she's not sure where she is. She recognizes her mom, dad and Connor. 824 Happy Bottom by Barbra Campbell is part of the multi-author A Cherry Falls Romance series. This is a sweet and smokin' hot older man/younger woman story. Bayleigh and Connor are like white lightening with a lot of ground shaking thunder as they traverse all the ups and downs along the way to their HEA. Connor really has to learn to move past some things and take hold of what is right in front of him. The question is whether he will be able to do that before Bayleigh gets away.

An amazing age gap page-turner in the Cherry Falls series! It is emotionally deep, engaging, relatable, steamy, funny, and well written with drama, angst, ups and downs, and more. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is undeniable and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

This book is a part of the Cherry Falls Romance series and focuses on Connor and Bayleigh. Connor is the police captain that has kept himself locked up with work to avoid dealing with his past. His focus became his job and his daughter after the devastating end to his marriage. When he meets Bayleigh, he feels things that he isn't expecting and in turn acts completely out of character and ends up hurting Bayleigh time and time again. Bayleigh knows her mind and herself and knows what she wants in life even after facing hard news. Bayleigh is immediately drawn to Connor like he is to her and she is constantly the one facing what she wants and then to have it come back to bite her in the end. I completely understand Connors fear of the future with someone else but man does he put her through the emotional ringer. This book has a lot of push and pull and hot and cold from Connor. I honestly just wanted to smack him so many times because what he was feeling towards Bayleigh and how he was treating her was completely different. I'm glad that what he finally realized what he wanted and needed, he was all in. This was a really enjoyable, quick read and a good addition to the series.

I liked this story a lot. It was enjoyable and mostly entertaining. There were parts of the story that were very frustrating. The characters were interesting and likable even when I wanted to smack them upside the head. Andrew was a great friend to Connor. He was supportive but also willing to tell Connor to get his head out of his a*s. Connor had thrown himself into his work after his wife left him and his daughter that he wasn't prepared for how he felt when he met Bayleigh. Bayleigh was younger than Connor and focused on her future but was willing to take a side road to include Connor in her life. The attraction between them was strong and instant. Bayleigh was all-in right away but Connor had some issues that he hadn't dealt with that prevented him from starting a relationship with her. There is some push and pull from Connor that was irritating. I liked how the story ended. I liked their happy ever after. It would have been nice to have an epilogue further out. I recommend reading this book.

We met Police Captain Connor O'Henry in 504 Lovers Lane, that is his daughter Poppy & his best friend's story. He is still struggling dealing with that relationship. One night he goes to Dimple Balls miniature golf to meet with an organizational expert, Bayleigh Green. It is ironic that he is instantly attracted to this much younger woman, who is flirting with him. Connor keeps control on everything, he is six years from retiring from the police force and Bayleigh is just starting her life.
There are time in this book you want to smack Connor and other times you want to hug him. He has been thru a lot but can he get past that and move on to the future?
This story is filled with chemistry between the two characters which all leads to some steamy scenes. This is a standalone and do not need to read others in the series to enjoy this story.

Police Captain Connor has survived an awful end to a marriage and has a wonderful adult daughter. He meets Bayleigh as she is organizing an event in town. Sparks fly but he is too hesitant a lot as a relationship grows. Love the characters and storylines in this series. The author did another wonderful addition to the town series with this book. Connor and Bayleigh have a lot of miscommunication and indecision to get through as well as their rough backstories. The endgame has its ups and downs but with friends support and Connor finally coming to terms with a possible happy future, the HEA is in sight. Can not get enough of this author and the series. The locale and characters hook you and you can not wait for the next book to appear.

I struggled with this one. Bayleigh was younger than Connor, so this is an age gap romance. Connor couldn't commit to his feeling for Bayleigh so there was a ton a back and forth and him waffling which made it hard for me to enjoy. I felt like the story dragged a bit so I kept putting this one down before picking it up again. I liked the chemistry between them, Bayleigh was cute and these two get to their HEA, the middle was just a struggle for me a bit.

This book started off with Connor and Bayleigh giving into their lust not long after their first meeting. When Connor realizes Bayleigh is a virgin he backs away in the middle of the act and then later offers her a one night stand. There was a lot of talk about sexy thoughts and it made me wonder how actual feelings could then be involved so quickly. Several miscommunications and misunderstandings push them apart until Connor can move beyond his guilt over the past. I loved that Bayleigh was learning other languages in preparation of traveling the world.

Loved this older man younger woman romance with older widowed police chief Connor and younger college student Bayliegh. She is outgoing and mature for her age and he has a plan that he wants to stick to by working a few more years and retiring. When he feels attracted to the younger Bayleigh he fights those feelings at every turn and much of the time hurting her feelings but when they get appointed to work on the towns festival it is more than he can take so he comes clean about how he feels for her. Great story and characters but sometimes Connor needed a kick in the pants.

Book 35 in the Cherry Falls series a story that had me laughing as I read, The rollercoaster ride was something else. I enjoyed seeing Bayleigh Green and police captain Connor O'Henry's story of an older man/younger woman come together. First Time Reader of Barbra Campbell
This was definitely a well thought out younger woman, older man romance. I loved that Bayleigh was an independent thinker challenging Connor's way of thinking. I loved how Barbra really developed the back story of Connor's pain. The levels of pain was heart wrenching but it added to his grumpiness. Will definitely be reading more from this author.

Connor is forced to come clean about his secrets and admit how wrong he is after Bayleigh turns his world upside down. She is a lot more mature than he is in a lot of ways, despite the 25 year age difference. Nice story. Kind of gross ending that is also funny.

This was an enjoyable, sexy, steamy read but really Connor, if I was closer I'd knock some sense into you.
His connection with Bayleigh was perfect, but yet still he kept up his wishy-washy .
I loved that the plot was straightforward with an easy narrative pace. Not too much drama, just a good steamy, short happy ever after read.

Connor's back and forth made it hard for me to like him at times and really believe in his change of heart in a few places. There were parts that I felt needed some more development and parts that worked well for me, those parts kept me reading to see how it would all turn out.
