Fortune Academy #7

Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Seven

Rate this book
The ultimate sacrifice has been made.

Cole has paid his penance.

Now it’s time for his revenge.

* * *

Lucifer has been crowned King of Earth, his royal boon something every mortal craves.

To be powerful, immortal, and feared.

He’s converting mortals into supernaturals thanks to his alliance with Calamity, but it doesn’t work out for everyone. This is an unnatural push against the balance. Supernaturals have their own realms and their own rules, but Calamity thrives in chaos.

Lucifer thinks he can control it, and I realize one important distinction.

He wants me alive.

He wants his brother on his side, Cole, a demon of rage who has proven himself worthy of my love.

After our last battle, Lucifer is content to wait, to build his unnatural army until he can storm Fortune Academy Underworld’s gates once again.

I’m tired of staying one step ahead of Lucifer. If I had learned anything from our last battle, it was only one thing was going to win this war against the devil.

Love.

With eight mates, a girl’s going to be busy, so this might take a while.

This series consisted of roughly 2111 pages, spread across 10 books for a story that could have put into 3 books.

The first 2 books were decent, the third book was aright too but then we started with the repetitiveness and the constant back and forth over THE SAME FUCKING SHIT. The amount of times this bitch would question what was happening and no one ever told her anything or vice versa was INSANE.

But one of the most annoying things would have to be all the secrets that were kept from each other. There was 10 main characters and a bunch of side characters that were dominant throughout the story and fucking hell, NO ONE COMMUNICATED ANYTHING!?? We got everything in either half truths or you had to wait 1-2 books to get to the point and yet when it all "came out" it was literally nothing?

This was the biggest waste of fucking time but I made myself finish all 10 books just so I could see how everything played out, hoping for redemption only for it to all be for nothing . Oh yeah, right at the end it mentions that there are ANOTHER 6 BOOKS IN THE POV OF THE MEN... HA I would rather spend the rest of my life picking up sand with tweezers

Spoilers

I honestly have no clue what's going on in this series anymore. We still have 4 virtues in a coma. Kaito has little to do with Lily because he's too busy. Cole tried bonding with Lily and it didn't work. Sam tried bonding with Lily and it didn't work. However, Azrael was able to bond to Lily. It honestly makes absolutely no sense. I don't understand the whole balance between her angelic and demonic sides. Supposedly Kaito is doing research, but we get very little information to move things along. MONTHS have gone by and once again we have no clue what's happened in that time. What we do know is that Lily has not gotten her 4 mates out of a coma. She still has no idea how to get them out of a coma. We have no clue what she's done in the last 3 months to help them, but it appears that she's done nothing except moan about it.
This book's pace is even slower than the last book. The only progress I see is her mating Azrael. We still have no information on how to beat Lucifer. We still have no information on how Lily will balance her 2 natures. All I see from Lily is a bunch of whining and crying. She definitely isn't one to assert herself and take action. It's getting really old. It's like a continuous cycle of nothing happens in this series.

Felt like a filler book

This one for me was just really different then the rest of the books in the series. I really enjoyed the others but this one just seemed to drag without a lot of development.

Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Seven (Fortune Academy Underworld Book 7)

Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Seven (Fortune Academy Underworld Book 7) ~~ Book Seven turns the pressure up and refuses to let it drop. Lily's strength is no longer questioned ~ now it’s feared, and that shift changes everything. Friends aren’t always safe, enemies aren’t always obvious, and trust becomes a fragile thing.

This installment dives deeper into relationships ~ romantic and otherwise ~ and I appreciated how messy and real they felt. Nothing is easy, nothing is clean, and every decision has ripple effects. There were moments I actually had to pause because the emotional tension was that heavy.

I bounced back and forth between reading and listening with this one, and Audible really shined during the intense scenes. The pacing is tight, the stakes are personal, and the story keeps evolving instead of repeating itself ~ which is hard to do this far into a series.

If you’ve made it to Book Seven, you’re in it for the long haul ~ and this one absolutely delivers.

This series is strictly for adults 18+. It contains explicit sexual content, including multiple partners. If that’s not your thing, this book and the entire series is not for you.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

This world is dark, and as I’ve delved deeper in, it often gets darker, still. Yet, this installment had me laughing out loud from the first page. Not many authors can insert so much humor into darkness, but Thorn certainly can.

This one manages to be extremely hot, hilarious, dark, and more. Everything’s on the line and it ends on a brutal cliffhanger—but it’s 100% worth it. We get to know Lily’s angel mates a lot better in this one, and things are starting to come together … but the world as we know it is continues to hang on by a thread as chaos ensues.

Brilliantly done with expert writing and plot-weaving.

5 stars.

That was too fast! I'm sad that Cole couldn't properly bond with Lilly but I'm excited for her to enjoy her angel mates. it's awful that she's struggling with so much. Her other mates are still in a coma, one demon mate has disappeared in the depths of hell and then other is trying to push her away. She having a hard time controlling both her demon and angel sides and now she's on a rescue mission to save Hell, her mother, her mates and the world. Wow! She got a lot on her plate. I hope she works it all out without breaking.

Best RH series!

I'm not a big RH fan, but this story is seriously good. This girl has more mates than a cruise ship. Lily is trying to balance her angel and demon side while stuck in he'll trying to literally keep it from freezing over. She's my champion trying to keep the balance, defeat the King of hell, save her mates, and having more org!@ms than the ocean has currents (yep, I went there).

I enjoyed reading this book. We get a better idea of what is going on with Lilith and her mates. But the question remains how will she balance her remaining mate bonds and then be able to fight Lucifer and Calamity. Will she be able to do it or will Calamity finally win? I look forward to finding out and can't wait to see what happens next.

Book seven and lucifer is creating an unnatural army whilst we get to learn a bit more about Lilith and her mates and their bonding. Calamity has joined the fight so chaos ensues and once again Cole sacrifices himself for Lilith. The final battle is coming, will they be ready? Only the next book can tell us!!

This one was really really great. Lilith is just.. well.. no words. Her mates and bonds with them fantastic. Lucifer makes my skin crawl. Everything is so exciting. We got some more insight. Some more answers but yet we are still so far, or it seems so, from the final of this all. Can’t wait for more of those characters.

The struggle is real and all her bonds have yet to be made. The clock is ticking and the battle against Lucifer is on the Horizon. Who will reign supreme? Slowly but surely the pieces are falling into place. Take the journey to see what happens.

Lili and her mates have gone through so much and no one has come out unscathed. Cole has sacrificed himself for Lili again and her mates are now awake but lost to calamity. I’m not sure if Lili and her mates are going to win against Lucifer. I can’t wait to see what happens in the final two books!!

I really enjoyed this book. It gives so much more on Lilith and her mates. I really enjoy the story as we get a really good story and Lucifer is playing games for sure. Will Lilith win or will Calamity get her way? The final battle is coming and it's gonna be epic.232

conflicted

This is the longest of all your series in the Calamity series and I can’t figure it out like I could the others, some things were simple but at the same time I am just gobbling the stories up unsure of what is happening

This series is drawn out way to long.
As a big reader I find each book annoyingly short just to have another book.
