That’s what Azra and Sam tell me and I don’t think I’m ever going to get used to this. All of my Virtues have been reluctant and taken time to come around to their destiny. Not my angel twins. They revere me and are psychotically protective of me, especially when Cole busts out of his prison and claims my new Virtues aren’t worthy of me. Did I mention they were twins? Um, hot much? They’re the only force keeping me from falling into a pit of depression after the majority of my Virtues were infected by Calamity. I can’t see them. I can’t feel them. Only Kaito remains and he’s thrown himself into his research to undo this mess. It’s my job to unlock the angelic powers inside of me before Lucifer comes back to claim my crown, one lesson at a time. Assuming Cole doesn’t destroy me all over again, because his rage burns hot and fast, but my fallen angel twins are here to balance the scales just like destiny intended. Nobody ever told me a fight between good and evil would end like this…

So this is turning out to be a great series that just gets better with each book. The storyline is exciting and so entertaining and I found myself on the edge of my seat more then once. The world building continues to amaze me and draws me in and the characters are still growing and developing and it’s so interesting and intriguing to see. It’s fast paced with plenty of steam and some twists and surprises to shock you and you will not be able to put this down especially if you have read the previous books.
This book continues on from when the last book ended. And what a journey Lily goes on yet again, whilst in search of her angelic virtues, Sam and Azra. They go through so many twists as Lily tries to get to Cole. But then ends up coming to a cliffhanger ending after finding him. I totally can't wait for more these Christmas grip me every book.
On the last book we saw that Lucifer had let loose calamity on Lili’s virtues. With no other option she has to go to Purgatory on her own to rescue her last two Angel virtues in the hopes of saving her other virtues. This book was mainly the intro to Sam and Azra and getting to know the twins better as well as another face off with Lucifer. We also go to see another side of Cole finally. Exciting to see where everything leads.
Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Six (Fortune Academy Underworld Book 6)
Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Six (Fortune Academy Underworld Book 6) ~~ By the time I reached Book Six, I was fully invested ~ emotionally, mentally, and honestly a little obsessed. This is where the story shifts from “academy chaos” to real consequences. Lily is no longer reacting; she’s choosing, and those choices come with a cost. Power is no longer theoretical ~ it’s dangerous, tempting, and absolutely necessary.
What I loved most here was how the Underworld itself becomes more present. The politics, betrayals, and alliances are layered in a way that kept me flipping pages (or listening straight through on Audible when my eyes needed a break). The tension doesn’t let up, and the emotional weight hits harder than expected.
I read this mostly on Kindle but switched to Audible when I was exhausted from teaching ~ and honestly, the narration pulled me right back in when my brain needed an escape. This book cements the darker tone of the series, and I was already reaching for the next one before I finished the last chapter.
This series is strictly for adults 18+. It contains explicit sexual content, including multiple partners. If that’s not your thing, this book and the entire series is not for you.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.
AH! I flew right through this, as it was so action-packed.
Lily has her hands full in this installment! She needs to re-connect with her angel virtues—she was actually with them for a decade, but doesn’t have her memories—they’re incredibly sweet but a bit racist. (They hate, and subsequently try to unalive demons / demonspawn on sight, which means she sometimes has to step into the role of referee.)
She’s also still trying to defeat Calamity, while Lucifer does everything he can to try to stop her—meaning many of her virtues are … out of commission for this bit.
Time continues to move … strangely. So if she jumps to another realm to get something done, she may have mates behind mad at her for disappearing for ‘weeks’ or more … there are full-on battles … but the author still manages to work in lots of personal growth for Lily, who is developing into quite the badass, laugh-out-loud humor, and of course, steamy scenes.
Completely epic and absolutely dying to devour books 7 and 8.
5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Audio—perfect, just like the rest of this series. Moyen is a total master at her craft.
Not great. Not awful. At this stage the plot is moving at a snail's pace. For some reason the author can never allow all the harem to be in the equation. In this book we get 2 angels and Cole reappears. However, we've lost all but Kaito from the original group of guys. It's actually annoying. Even Kaito is barely in this book. It's like the harem is so large that the author has to eliminate at least half of them per book to make sure attention can be placed on 2-3 of them.
Lily might have powers, but we don't really know what they are. There's all this mystery because, for some reason, nobody wants to help bring her memories back. They say she's not ready. Not sure why not, but that's what we're told. Meanwhile, she's fighting all kinds of malevolent forces without the knowledge she needs... But, you know, she's not ready. My eyes are rolling here. Oh, and the random timing thing happens here too. Lily comes back from death and I guess she was in purgatory for 10 years. It was only one year at Fortune Academy though, so go figure....
Fortune Academy Underworld: Book 6 by J R Thorn. The world building continues to be excellent and the character development amazing and they are becoming more real as they continue to grow with each book. The storyline is intriguing and well written which draws you into the story and keeps you turning pages to the end. Lili (Lilith) must go to Purgatory to rescue her remaining Angel Virtues in order to save the others as Lucifer has released 'holy hell' on them. This is fast paced with lots of twists and surprises you won't see coming. Am anxiously waiting to see what's in store for Lili and gang next. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary review.
Our gal Lilith just can't catch a break can she? Get ready for a doozy of a ride!! She does indeed find her missing Virtues, and of course more craziness ensues that our Champion must figure out. Filled with oodles of action, steamy moments, alpha males, fierce females, witty banter, and just plain awesomeness 😉..if you're a fan of the previous books you won't be disappointed. The ending will leave you excited for book seven!!! Luc better be afraid 😉💖.
BRAVO J.R. THORN, BRAVO!!!! I am absolutely in love with these sexy twins!! So after Lucifer sets the calamity on poor Lily's virtues in book 5, she has to travel to purgatory to try saving them. All the while we have the sexy angel twins with her who are actually the only virtues who aren't a pain in the...butt lol. I will say Cole has redeemed himself a little bit as I really didn't like him much but now, yea he's getting there!! This series is freaking awesome! I'm soooo glad Lily's story kept going!! Thorn has a way of writing that just sucks you in & keeps your attention til the end!!
Another fantastic read, that had me on the edge of my seat and hooked from the start. The book was fast paced, very steamy with some shocking plot twists I did not see coming. The new virtues were fun and quirky, but I really missed Logan, Orian, Hendrix and Dante, I hope Lily can save them soon. This was a fantastic addition to a wonderful series that I can't recomend highly enough, and left me wanting more, I can't wait for book 7. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Wow eight mates! I don't know how Lilly will manage. im just glad her two new angel mates aren't total jerks like the original five started out. I'm not counting Cole because he's a rage demon and can't help himself. It was a nice change to see his sweeter side especially after his grand sacrifice. The battle with Lucifer is just getting started so let's see how Lilly manages especially without her other four mates. I can't wait to see how she frees them and takes out Lucifer.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great drama and romance with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Fortune Academy Underworld: Book Six by J.R. Thorn is an amazing story to read. This is book number six out of nine in this amazing series and I can not wait to read the rest. I highly recommend this story to everyone.
I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
This book series just gets better and better! I was surprised that after 6 books, I'm still invested and intrigued by the storyline and characters. I loved the world and all the character developments were on point in this book. The plot gives us lots to think about, discover and explore. The writing was great and I'm loving where the story has been heading. Fantastic addition to the series!
I love and hate this book so much. (Only because Fuck Luc and Fuck calamity nw loves) it feels like it just keeps getting worse and worse each echo stronger yes, but with calamity being taken by Luc previously it’s too much, like there’s a piece we are all still missing.
So much going on in this section! The battle against Luc is heating up, mates are missing, and Lilith is struggling to figure out who she really is. I need the next book now!
I can’t get enough of this series. The fact that this author has so many series going on and can keep them all straight and so different, is amazing. Like all of this intertwines so well.
I devoured this completely. Just like all the others.
WOW! Who would have expected that from Cole? Things are really fubar right now for Lilith and her virtues but we all know she can't let Lucifer win. I can't wait for the next book. Some very interesting and unexpected things are bound to happen.
Awesome! I've fallen in love with this series recently and I really enjoy the series! The take on Lucifer is pretty awesome. The story gets better with each book a ND there is so much happening. Hot twins, virtues and enough steam to keep it fun! Can't wait for the next!
When all hell literally breaks loose will it be the end? Will they come together with an unexpected ali? I love this series. It totally Rocks! I can't wait for the next one!!!! A must read.
I absolutely love this authors stories!!! I’m hooked on everyone one of these stories!! Storyline is just fantastic. I don’t like to give away any spoilers. This is book 6 so definitely read them all. Highly recommend reading. Story is just fantastic.
Lilith has finally gone after her angel mates in this book while 4 of her mates have been infected with calamity. Lucifer is still trying to get in her way. This book has redemption and heart break. Need more
Well…this ending was definitely unpredictable. Cole was always one of my favorites, but this book made me fall in love with him even more! I’m anxious to see what will happen next; I’m so glad that Jen decided to make Lily’s story nine books!
Flew threw this one too! Now to read the short and another chapter book. Shit is getting intense and I whined for more Cole in my last review and I definitely got it in this book! She chose wisely!
