My name’s Blaire Wilson. I was born in the saddle. The old family ranch has fallen on hard times, but I’m not the kind of girl to sell up. I came to Epona Prime where the best horses in the universe run free. My goal: to catch a stallion, bring it home, and make a fortune from stud fees.
What I didn’t know before I got here is that all Epona Prime’s horses belong to King Equs, the stallion king. He conquered his world on horseback, and I’ve just been caught trying to steal one of his favorite mounts. That makes me a horse rustler, and the penalty for theft on Epona Prime is harsh. But King Equs takes pity on me, and saves me from the noose.
This harsh warlord king owns me. He’s going to break me in the old fashioned way. But I’m one fiery filly who won’t submit without a fight. I know how to throw a buck when he least expects it - and he knows how to ride me through it.
Amazon Top 100, USA Today bestselling, and #1 bestselling author in multiple Amazon categories, Loki Renard writes sizzling hot, occasionally dark and twisted stories of dominance, submission and discipline.
I. Loved. This. Story!! This author always fascinates me and how she develops and creates her worlds. Blaire is a strong, independent, sassy woman just wanting to expand her horse breeding program. She is caught by King Equs trying to steal a stallion. He’s sees Blaire as a defiant and untamed woman that he just wants to break. Blair won’t make it easy on him, defying him at every turn. Can he tame this independent woman?
Loved it. This is one unique and strange ride. Blaire is a superb character, strong, irreverent, sassy and oh so brave. This is another very unusual tale which captivated me from the first page. Highly recommended.
Blaire is one of my favorite heroines ever! She’s strong, smart, capable, compassionate, kind, tall, and determined to hold on to her family’s farm. Her determination leads her to travel lightyears away to Epona Prime in pursuit of a stallion to breed with her horses. Her plans are derailed and she’s kept by the ruler she unintentionally stole from. Blaire was instantly likable and relatable, but Equs had to grow on me a bit more. His hard exterior belied a complex and honorable male with a good heart. Handling a would-be horse thief was much more difficult than handling a horse, and he had a lot to learn about women. But I’m a sucker for a dynamic character and a man strong enough to admit when he’s wrong. Here Loki Renard has created a wonderful story, built another fascinating universe, and brought together two characters who needed each other more than they knew. Well written, enjoyable from start to finish, engaging and interesting, and wonderfully done overall!
Blaire was looking to expand her herd. She only needed one stallion to breed with her horses. She certainly didn’t expect to get caught by King Equs and his men. King Equs sees Blaire as a wild filly that needs to be broken. He will train her and she will learn to follow orders. But Blaire isn’t going to make it each. King Equs may be sexy as all hell but he isn’t going to sway her.
I love how the comparison with the horses and Blaire are so close. She is a wild filly. She has that fire in here that shows she will not be tamed. When I first started reading this all I could hear in my head was the song “Wild Fire” because that is how Blaire is. King Equs is in for a treat with trying to tame her. She is tough and him thinking it will be easy, he learns not so. Then we learn of another race. This part started to make me think of Karen. It was funny and Blaire’s answers to being told about it is hysterical. There are a LOT of funny parts in this story. Made me shake my head and smile. Blaire is never going to be tamed but she sure makes it fun for Equs.
Determined to capture a stallion and return to Earth with him for breeding purposes, Blaire is captured and taken before King Equs, the stallion king, for judgment. But the King decides to keep her and from here it is a battle of wills, hers to escape and his to keep her. Both are stronger willed individuals who do not want to compromise but want to have their own way. Its a fun read with danger mixed in which makes it a great read. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and this is a great addition. I would highly recommend this book and the series. I received a free copy of this book via the author and are voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was certainly interesting to say the least. I absolutely loved the storyline, from the wild king and his subjects to the queen and her people Called the Eponites which i loved the reference to as managers. But its Equs who is king, and it Blaire a human from earth who has been caught with a horse that Equs warriors hace said she has stolen. However Blaire is a strong dependant women, and a lover of horses, the king wants to tame her. But soon there a clash with a queen and Blaire soon learns where she stands with her and it isnt alive.
Honestly i really enjoyed reading this, its different from the rest of the series but that is what is appealing abou this no one book is the same and as i said before i just loved the storyline, one definately cannot predict whats coming.
I smiled through the whole story, the tales of the intruders and paperwork had me laughing. I adored Blaire she was such a strong sassy and stubborn woman and their was no way she was letting King Equs break her and believe me he had his ways. I really liked the unique way this story was written it's so different and so very entertaiñing I couldn't get enough. They just get better and better and you never know what to expect next. Bravo!!!!
This was an extremely strange alien romance and it should probably come with several trigger warnings for those who struggle with issues of force and assault. I also found the ending particularly dissatisfying and feel it lacks an epilogue at the very least. I’ve read many books by this author and cannot recall feeling this way about any of them before.
Human Blaire lands on Epona Prime to steal a prize horse; the king objects. Instead of executing her, he decides to...treat her like a horse? Although it's part of a series, this is a standalone; there are some references to other books, but I don't think they're major. Note: I believe that Guilliver's Travels inspired some of this book.
As usual, Ms. Renard throws in everything but the kitchen sink; equally as usual, her books suffer because of it. The strongest aspect here is the description of the horses and Blaire's connection to them. I suspect that the author is herself a horsewoman because that is the only authentic emotion you'll find anywhere in this book. Indeed, Blaire's love affair with horses overshadows what I guess is her "love affair" with King Equs, an "alien" so without personality and so incredibly useless that not once did I understand her feelings for him. Usually these D/s books present power exchange as gratifying because it makes the MFC feel safe or protected. But, despite being told constantly that Blaire did indeed feel that way with the king, I was at a loss at to why. She could do anything he could do (and quite frankly better); not once does he do anything for her that isn't the result of his own incredible ineptitude (I mean, who stops to have sex when they're being attacked?); and he treats her so cruelly at the beginning (indifferent to her need for clothing, bedding, or baths) that I never understand why Blaire suddenly decides she cares for him. This is very much insta-love on both their parts with no reasoning behind it.
I'll also add that it's not all that erotic since those scenes are very cursory -- even the pet play at the beginning isn't very detailed.
3 stars. But only because I enjoyed the parts with the horses. No other major plot point (the overarching, by now over-used trope) or character (Vulpes, who had the potential to be interesting) adds anything to this story, and I didn't understand why they were there.
If you have a love of horses, then you will enjoy the latest installment in the Royal Aliens series. This is a story involving a strong, capable, woman who meets her match in a stallion king.
Blaire has come to the planet Epona Prime to capture a stallion to use for breeding purposes on her ranch back on Earth. Unfortunately luck isn’t on her side and Blaire finds herself captured and brought before King Equs for judgment. He finds the stubborn and sassy female intriguing and sets out to tame her using methods similar to breaking a horse. Of course Blaire fights King Equs every step of the way and this makes for an entertaining story.
Once again Ms. Renard has created a unique world with amazing characters and quirky little surprises along the way such as the tribe of Eponites. I couldn’t help but giggle over her descriptions of the various tribal names and their ancestry.
I enjoyed the story of King Equs and Blaire because I love to see a stubborn, stick by her guns, woman stand up to a dominating, my way or else male. Blaire is determined to save her family ranch back on Earth by any means necessary and King Equs just wants her. Who will win this contest of wills? Will Blaire get her stallion and save her ranch or does King Equs win the day by taming Blaire?
Who knew looking for a stallion would change everything Blaire was amazing in the saddle and she had come to Epona Prime because they had the best horses there and she needed a stallion to take back for a start at her stables but what she wasn’t ready for was being taken to King Equs Because they thought that she was a horse thief. Blaire had thought they were wild and okay to take but it now became obvious that these were the kings horses. But the problem was the king now want to take Blaire to be his breeding mare. Could Blaire come to terms with being used as an incubator?? Will the king have feelings for her or was he just using her?? I really enjoyed this book it was full on action from the very first page. I really like the chemistry between Blaire and the King and I absolutely adored how sassy and fierce she was. Blaire is no pushover and the king was going to find this out mean the hard way!!! A fantastic read.

A enjoyable story which is about Blaise who traveled to Epona Prime to corral some horses to take back to her struggling ranch on Earth, only the stallion she targets belongs to King Equs. His guards capture Blaise during the event and take her to the King Equs which she escapes riding bareback on a mare. King Equs and his men give chase and recaptures Blaise and he drags her to his tent to pass judgement. His judgement is to cage her and tame her like his horses so he can breed her. What occurs afterward in this story as Blaise is determine to be free and Equs is determined to make her totally dependent on him (War of Wills) was a interesting story that has leanings of BDSM in this Alien romance. Will their love of horses or attraction to each other bring them closer together? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
"Is there any joy greater than the capture of a wild thing?"
Blaire thought she knew everything she needed to before arriving on this out of the way planet with herds of wild horses running free.
The longer she's on the ground, the more she discovers she doesn't know... first overlooked detail? The planet has a King, who claims ownership of all those wild horses. Second unknown detail? Horse thieves are killed.
Fortunately, on maybe unfortunately, for Blaire, she intrigues King Equs.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is a load of fun. The attitude is laugh out loud fun, the heart of this story keeps the pages turning, and I loved the journey of discovery these two characters took as they encountered someone entirely unique to their lives.
The hero is Equus, and he has proclaimed himself King and owner of all the horses on Epona Prime. Heroine didn't know that and is accused of trying to steal one of his stallions.
So he decides he'll keep her (since she's human) and breed her as often as he can to replenish bloodlines. She is stuck in a pen by herself and he keeps treating her like a horse.
Eventually she is attacked by the natives and poisoned so after 30 days of nursing her, he fell in love with her and starts treating her like a person.
This story was so much fun and freaking sexy. Blaire and King Equs have amazing chemistry but they are both so strong willed that neither one of them wants to give in. The story is filled with lots of suspense, action, danger and a whole hell of a lot of drama. It makes for a very funny, extremely sexy and highly entertaining story from start to finish.
I absolutely loved this story (I love all of Loki’s stories) and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
On a planet far, far away. Lol. This book was so funny. The story starts when a human woman decides to get one of their horses and take it back to earth. Little does she know that all the horses are the property of the king. And he is not happy she is trying to steal one. Crazy story and funny. If you want a smile, read this. The characters are so well written and will make you laugh.
Blaire has come from Earth to enhance her herd by catching a wild stallion on planet Epona Prime. The king, Equs, and his warriors will not allow such action. This is an extremely fascinating and amusing story. The characters are well developed and their actions thought out and handled with care. I love the way I sometimes think their responses are ridiculous and the rest of the time, I cannot stop laughing.
This book 8 in The Royal Alien Series has intriguing characters with a steamy Alien romance story that is a worth the read, unique, and addicting. This book has well-thought out scenes, characters, and storyline. These engaging characters have amazing wills, personalities, and believable interactions. This story has the following: surprises, twists, turns, adventure, action, love, steam and a HEA.

As always, Loki Renard brings both the heat and a subversive take on today’s society, twisted to the extreme in the future. The dissertation on the evolution of middle managers, especially marketing managers, was both hilarious and hit close to home. And ‘Karen’ as a legend? Priceless. A funny and steamy romance, with plenty of both action and dominance - a perfect blend.
Loki Renard’s aim is true: the story ranges from the hot, to the sublime, then it dipped into the ridiculous for a moment and emerge back into the realm of romance.
How she did that, you have to read the book.

Fantastic read. Loved it and the sassy Blaire! Poor Equs has his hands full with her but he stuck with his feelings and broke through. Blaire was so good with the horses and loved that she reunited the mare with her foal. Each persevered with the other to come together and Blaire proved her worth with stopping the Eponites from further fighting. A great end.
The story was exciting and kept your attention from beginning to end just like all the previous ones. It has everything you want in a romance with plenty of action, drama, humor, alpha male, strong willed female, and hot kinky sex that's not over the top with awesome characters? A must buy and keep them coming they are awesome.
This series always is fun and sexy 😋. This book was awesome cuz of the horses and humans in the future 😃. Thanks again Loki, your stories are always guaranteed to be fun and well worth the time to read and I plan on reading them all 🤓.
If you like strong, foul- mouthed, sassy, Spitfire of a heroine, then you'll find your girl right here. In the face of a domineering sexy male alien, he conquers what would conquer her.
This was full of almost absurd moments and absolutely fire moments. It had me laughing and moments later wishing I could be Blaire. Loved the wildness of this so much!
I laughed out loud (not at the hot parts) and thoroughly enjoyed reading this witty and entertaining story. I had and rode horses in my younger days and identified with much of this.
This is the final book in this series. So comical I’m having trouble writing this review with a straight face. In this book you will find smalls, talls, and even alien cowboys. Along with the alien king of course. 🤭🤔😆
I'm really not sure what I just read ... Clans named after fast-food restaurants, her middle name being Karen helping with a middle management clan, taming a female like a horse, parts were really random and didn't make a great deal of sense. The humour didn't work for me either. It was just odd
Girl loves horses. Girl needs stud stallion to save ranch. Girl finds said stallion but gets caught by handsom sherriff/alien king. A classic strong woman is underestimated by a not really mysogiistic man. This love story is told with amazing word smithing. I laughed, I cried, at the edge of my seat and hated for the story to end. A must read! Thank you Loki Renard!
