City girl in Montana looking for her Romeo…

Sounds like the start of a Hallmark movie, right? Well, it would if they had movies about idiot women flying across the country to marry a man they’d never met.

Yup, that’s what I did. I responded to an ad in a random newspaper that I found on the train. And now I’m trying to find Horseshoe Ranch so that I can marry some cowboy I’ve never even seen. And no, this isn’t the 1800’s. I’m just desperate.

To make matters worse, the cowboy doesn’t even know I’m coming. His mom and dad arranged it all. I’m going is because I have $100 to my name and an old mafia boyfriend after me. I figured life couldn’t get any worse in Montana.

I was wrong.

In my excitement, I left the address and phone number for the ranch at home, so now I’m here in Montana and I have no idea where I’m supposed to go. So I took a rented a car and stopped at a local bar to ask for directions.

And that’s when my problems really started.

4 star review of  Accidental Mail Order Bride (The Brother’s at Horseshoe Ranch #1) by J S Cooper

This was an entertaining read and one that drew me in and kept me hooked from the first to the last chapter. This is book one in the latest series, The Brother’s at Horseshoe Ranch from J.S.Cooper and is Austin and Lucy’s story.

I was intrigued when I read the blurb for this book. After all marrying a complete stranger and moving to Montana to escape a nightmare of an ex does seem a bit extreme. That is until you realize that the ex has connections to the mafia.

I loved that it was Amelia, Austin’s mother who was instrumental in bringing them together with her matchmaking schemes. Of course her plans are to match Lucy and Beau, Austin’s brother but fate plays a hand when Lucy is kissed by a handsome stranger when stopping for directions to the ranch.

Things become complicated and there were moments of humour as they all struggled to find there place. This is a light hearted, entertaining read and I look forward to reading the other brothers’ stories.

Lucy's life has not been very pleasant lately. She not a fan of her job, just broke up with a guy she had been seeing and the loss of her mother just makes everything worse. She is feeling lost and not sure what to do with her future. An abandon newspaper catches her eye, especially the ad that is on the page. She gets a wild hare and decides, why not? What can go wrong with a city girl going to Montana? The catch, she may end up married to a rancher.

The Hamilton boys do not know what is coming. Their mother wants to see them married, happy and bring on the grandkids. She is the one who placed the ad, despite her husband telling her not to interfere. When she gets Lucy's response, she figures that this girl will be perfect for one of her boys. Everyone assumes it will be Beau, the oldest, that will be husband. The fates have a different plan in mind. Austin does not know what is going to hit him. Almost knocks him off his horse. For Lucy and Austin, nothing is easy but the connection is there.

J. S. Cooper writes a great story. I was laughing at the antics of Lucy and Austin. Of course, Austin's mom is right there in the chaos. This is a great read for any time. The sparks and heat are there. I am looking forward to the next story in the series.

I received an ARC for a fair and honest review.

Hmmm

I did not read this series in order. This is not one of this author's best books. I believe it is because it felt like forced comedic relief. The Hamilton's were great. It was just Lucy.
Lucy's conversations with Olivia was annoyingly silly. After her second one I just skimmed through it. Useless filler. Yeah. The book would have been great if her background and personality was tweaked. Now remember, this is my opinion.

While this was a sweet story I just didn’t like the writing for some reason. I did like how ‘sneaky’ the mom was in this story, goes to show that mom’s may be willing to do some crazy things to push their kid(s).

The editing is horrendous in this book but normally I could deal with that! What’s worse is the immature dialogue between all of the characters. Lucy and her friend are by far the worst they are idiots I felt and she had all this designer clothing but didn’t have two nickels to rub together. Also they kept mentioning she was a city girl from Brooklyn and she did not come off that way to me. Just a bad book that is very repetitive and no story build up, everything happened to fast. The concept would have been great and it had a potential storyline but nothing hit the mark. I skimmed a lot of it just to make it to the end.

Good romance with funny parts
4.5
I really liked the start of the story: marrying a stranger from deep in Montana to hide from an ex who belongs to the New York mafia. It’s a drastic solution, probably stupid, but it’s Lucy's choice. Her character is particular to understand because she is sad at the death of her mother, strong to leave her ex, completely blind to what is happening to her with Austin, all while keeping a light, naive character, which sometimes causes funny situations, sometimes moving.
The other characters are as good as those in the foreground in this family of 7 brothers, their parents and friends, and the predictable story remains gripping and moving thanks to all of them.

Ok so this was a light hearted unrealistic romcom...only the funny parts were forced, the romance could have been a little deeper and so on. I read it because I wanted to read the second book (erm, because of the cover) .. now I don’t think I will.

I liked the concept of a girl desperate enough to travel across the country to marry someone sight unseen. And seven brothers 🤦🏻‍♀️! It was promising right from the start and then reading the conversations between the two best friends was like they were teenagers. I also don’t like how shallow the author made the heroine. Fashion, overspending, hair makeup etc. she seemed like an irresponsible bimbo. So although I’ve read this trope before, this one was sadly lacking Ike build on the ex mafia guy (maybe the next book?) build some drama or some conflict...🙃

Hilarious beach read!

I needed a good laugh and this book quickly hit me laughing. It's the first in a series about seven brothers who all need brides. It made for a great beach read, a little predictable but fun. The author did tend to be more graphic sexually than I prefer but the rest of the book made up for it.

enjoyed reading Accidental Mail Order Bride, the characters are fun and flirty, and the descriptive views sounded amazing. I did feel a few minor plot points were too easily resolved, but they didn't take too much away from the main plot or the enjoyment of the story itself. Lucy is a fun loving city girl who finds herself answering an ad for a mail order bride for an unknown Cowboy groom in Montana. From the moment Lucy arrives, things seem to go a bit crazy, but of course, it all works out in the end. Can be read as a stand alone story, but it seems there are or will be two more stories at least in the series and I look forward to reading the next.

It was a cute read. Felt that the Mikey story could have been a little more drama in this book. The characters and storyline could have had a lot more depth .

I love JS Cooper's books. I still have a very long to be read list of her older books.
This story finds Lucy a NYC girl at a loss, she hates her job and lost her mother. Her best friend Olivia is all she has. So, she decides to answer a mail order bride in Montana. Once there she ends up at a bar in the country and asks' the bartender for directions to the ranch. While there the only only customer there is a gorgeous green eyed cowboy, Austin.
This encounter sets up a page turning, fast paced storyline. This is a fun read, keeps you wanting more. With wonderful characters, witty and steamy. When I'm close to the end of Jaimie's books, I just want more =) I loved this book so much, I can't wait to read the other books in this romantic series.

Austin & Lucy’s Romance Is A Sweet Story That Centers On Family, With A Few Laugh Out Loud Moments! Don’t Forget To Download The Free Bonus Epilogue In Austin’s POV Via The Link At The Back Of The Book.

This is the first book in a new series about the Hamilton family of Horseshoe Ranch in Bitterroot Valley, Montana. Ranger and Amelia Hamilton have been married for forty years, but they haven’t lost that spark. They quibble and argue, and have fun banter, but they are united in their love of family. Running a ranch is hard work, and keeping profitable is an ever increasing challenge. They hope to have grandchildren to enjoy sooner rather than later, but none of their seven sons show signs taking he institution of marriage seriously. Amelia is feisty and independent, and much to her sons’ chagrin, she has stepped a little too far in trying to set them up. They are all headstrong and set in their ways, and though they love their mama, they are not about to give into her shenanigans isn’t

The oldest is Beau, who works closely with Ranger to keep the ranch running and profitable. There are also Austin, Chet, Flint, Huck, and Knox. Wyatt is the baby of the family.

Book one, Accidental Mail Order Bride, is Austin and Lucy’s story. Beau and Olivia’s story follows in book two, Most Eligible Cowboy. Wyatt and Sadie have their friends to lovers story in His Favorite Cowgirl, book three.

IN THIS BOOK:

Lucy Kensington, twenty-eight, needs some change in her life. She went through a rough year following her mother’s sudden death. Her father had never been in the picture, so it had always just been the two of them. She was born and raised in Brooklyn. Her mother was an artist – vibrant and full of life. Without her as a sounding board and her wise and encouraging words, Lucy is a bit lost. She has her best friend Olivia, but it is unfortunately not enough to erase the city full of memories of her mother. She had fallen for an Italian guy from Queens sometime before her mother’s death, but Lucy finally put an end to that relationship. Mikey had money, but he just wasn’t a good match. He hadn’t been too happy about the breakup, and in the aftermath Lucy learned that he has ties with the mafia. His refusal to honor her wishes made Lucy all the more desperate to seek change, and the idea of leaving behind the only home she has ever known – and a city she loves – suddenly doesn’t seem so drastic.

When she sees an add for a mail order bride, Lucy is feeling particularly vulnerable. The notion is ridiculous in today’s day and age, yet it seems like a perfect opportunity. Lucy dreams of getting married and having a family, so she bites the bullet and answers the add. It turns out that the add was placed by the parents of the potential groom, who has no idea what his parents are up to. The more Lucy corresponds with the mother, the more she wants to be part of the family. Amelia is kind and friendly, and although nobody can replace Lucy’s mother, having such a wonderful mother-in-law, someone to be a grandmother to her children one day, would help to fill the empty void. In a leap of faith, Lucy leaves New York and catches a plane to Montana.

Things go astray when Lucy forgets to bring the address along. She stops at a bar and asks for directions, but leaves with more than an address. A handsome stranger captures her attention, and his magnetism has her almost speechless. His kiss blows her away. But Lucy is there for a reason, and she trusts Amelia, her future mother-in-law if all goes as planned. Beau is the oldest of seven sons and apparently the son intended for Lucy. When it turns out that Beau’s younger brother is Austin, the man who kissed her at the bar, her courtship with Beau suddenly becomes awkward. Lucy goes through a lot in this story, but she eventually earns a happy ending. Don’t’ forget to download the free bonus epilogue in Austin’s POV via the link at the back of the book.

Fans will be excited to read Beau and Wyatt’s upcoming stories. There are glimpses of the stories within this book.

Lucy immediately falls in love with Horseshoe Ranch and the Hamilton family. Finding her match, however, takes her some time. Lucy fears letting down Amelia, who had been so kind and supportive in inviting Lucy into their home. But Beau, like his brothers, is not invested in the idea of an arranged marriage. He does, however, agree to spend some time with Lucy, getting to know her. Meanwhile Austin lurks in the background, happy to sneak a little time with Lucy here and there, reminding her of the kiss they shared. Despite his difficult disposition and moodiness, Lucy finds herself crushing on him. But Austin isn’t interested in marriage, so keeping him at bay and giving Beau the chance to build a connection with her is the safest route, not to mention the choice that would most please Amelia. As Lucy gets deeper and deeper, though, she risks losing everything.

Austin and Lucy’s romance is a sweet story that centers on family, with a few laugh out loud moments. The seven Hamilton sons love their mama and it shows. She plays the role of matchmaker here, but then she sits back and lets nature take its course. The story is nicely written. There are several edits in my ARC version which I assume are cleaned in the final copy. The plot is fairly simple. The characters are light and entertaining. Lucy is perhaps a little too ditzy in the beginning, but she improves. The story is written in first person in Lucy’s POV. I rate this book four stars.

💐Accidental Mail Order Bride, J.S. Cooper
324 pagini

💐Posible spoilere!

Lucy Kensington, twenty-eight, was making a change in her life. Losing her mom did a number on her. It shook her to her foundation. They had been arguing in Lucy’s apartment over Lucy getting back together with her last boyfriend, Mikey. Lucy told her that was never going to happen. Her mom excused herself to the restroom and had a heart attack. Lucy had always hated that they had been arguing. But the months of trying to grieve in the home where she died, going to the places she loved, or thinking about all the places they still wanted to share was killing her.

On the train, she read an article about being a mail-order bride. It would mean moving to Montana, which didn't scare her half as much as the controlling a-hole Mikey. The only person it hurt to leave behind was Olivia because she was her ride-or-die girl. But after talking with Amelia through email and then phone calls she knew she was going to be doing the right thing. She wanted a family and to have a family with someone so badly. However, this city girl was out of her element. She was in Montana looking for her Romeo but had no directions.

It sounded like a plot for a Hallmark rom-com, right? They had movies about crazy women who go across the country to marry a man they never met. This outlandish woman just happened to be traveling to Horseshoe Ranch, yet didn't have the address or the direction and she walked into a bar of all men dressed like a fashion model. Spilling her guts about her future in-laws. The thing is she has no clue that one of Amelia’s seven sons is there taking in that very information. However, before he leaves he kisses her like there is no tomorrow.

It took the bartender to give her the address. The minute she meets Amelia she loves her and seeing the ranch feels like going home. She couldn't understand it to even explain it. Throughout the book, there are mixed signals between Austin (bar kisser) and Lucy. Then, there was the lackluster shine between her and Beau. Then there was the guilt she was carrying every time Austin was kissing her. And he would sneak those often. It was getting confusing for poor Lucy.

See how everything comes out in the wash, it's quite funny.

Lucy was very close to her mother who recently died, she just left a bad relationship with a guy she now suspected was connected to the mob, she lost her job and she was broke, so she answered an ad that a couple had placed to find a wife for their son, because Lucy knew she wanted to change her life and she wanted marriage and a family. She was from New York City and she definitely felt out of place in Montana and had to stop at a bar for directions when she realized she had forgotten to bring the address and phone number. She tried to explain to the bartender a little about the situation and she sounded ridiculous explaining she was going to marry someone she had never met and had only spoken to his mother and a stranger kissed her. When she finally arrived at the ranch Lucy found out that the mother wants her son married and grandkids but the son knows nothing of her plans. She meets Beau who the mom planned for her to marry and then meets another son, Austin, who was the stranger that kissed her in the bar. Austin embarrasses her by telling everyone what she said at the bar and he flirts with her while his mom tries to set her up with Beau. Will Lucy find happiness at the Horseshoe Ranch?

I loved this fun story where the relatively high maintenance New York City girl decides that she needs to change her life and goes to Montana to marry a man she has never spoken to. I loved the humor of the whole situation where she arrives in Montana when she has never lived outside the city and she had major adjustments. Lucy quickly learns that the marriage plans were made by the mother and her sons knew nothing about her plans. The author did a great job letting you see what Lucy was thinking and why she was desperate for a new start after losing her mom, her only family. Lucy Loved the parents and got to meet 3 of the brothers but found herself attracted to the wrong brother and Austin seemed attracted to her too. The epilogue was a great ending for Lucy’s story and I can’t wait to read about the other brothers.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
This is book is the start of The Brother’s At Horseshoe Ranch series it appears each book seems it will read as a standalone so why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Lucy has been given a bag a lemon now she has to make lemonade, her mother passed who she was really close to, she left a bad relationship, then she loses her job and while down saw an ad placed looking for a wife for their son. Since she always wanted to be a wife, have a family it seems like a good idea but leaving NY behind was the first step arriving in Montana after forgetting the contact information and having to explain it to country people for directions to top it off she gets there to find out that the mother set this all up without informing her son. Beau the unsuspected groom to be but while explaining how lost she was at the bar a stranger kissed her come to find out said stranger is Beau’s brother Austin but where will all this lead the chemistry is instant between Austin and Lucy, but she is there for Beau so where is it all headed, and will she find happiness and if so with which brother?

This book was a cute fun read ...the Hamilton family of Horseshoe Ranch in Bitterroot Valley, Montana. Ranger and Amelia Hamilton have been married for forty years, but they haven’t lost that spark. They quibble and argue, and have a fun banter, but they are united in their love of family. ....
Then we have the " main characters these books are written for ..hahahahahaa ... The oldest is Beau, Austin, Chet, Flint, Huck, Knox, Wyatt is the baby of the family. WOW 7 sons almost reminded me of the Musical "Seven brides for seven brothers" .... but this bride is trying to relive the western days of yore... hahahaha she needs to find a man who will give her the Love and happiness she so desires because it's something she is missing due to her mothers passing...
Running a ranch is hard work, and keeping profitable is an ever increasing challenge. Amelia is hoping to have grandchildren to enjoy sooner rather than later, but none of their seven sons are showing any signs of taking the institution of marriage seriously. So Amelia takes matters into her own hands ... LOL .....but the son that first finds out is Austin and he meets Lucy when she comes into the local bar... she so forgot to grab the address and number before she quickly left NYC..... so she lied and wormed her way for the info from the bartender and the handsome man who was sitting at the bar having a beer .....once he finds who she is here to meet he finaglres a Kiss that has her panties melting and then walks out ....Though they love their mama, they are not about to give into her shenanigans ..... well Between Lucy and her lies Austen seems to be enraptured by her so .... Miss Amelia becomes pleased that their is at least 1 connection so far and Lucy's friend Olivia is coming to the ranch and Beau seems to be just as infatuated with her which leads to book 2 and I can barely wait to read about Wyatt and Sadie.... was a fun, comical, love read....

Not sure......3.5-stars for Accidental Mail Order Bride

This book is really hard for me to review, I have loved many of this authors' books and my thoughts go out to her with the loss of her best friend/her mom but I had a hard time with Lucy's character, she was so immature and I have a hard time believing a 28 year old from NY would be so immature + Lucy & Olivia's (Lucy's BFF) interactions & conversations seemed way too immature for almost 30 years old who supposedly lived in NY. But I liked the premise for the book & I did think Austin & Lucy had great chemistry. Not sure if the Beau plot was really necessary, to me it seems it would have been more believable if Lucy walked into the bar and was drawn to Austin, who she ultimately was being setup with by his mom, and, Beau still could have met Olivia as a lead-in to book 2. With that being said, I am interested to see what will find with the other books in the series for the remaining six brothers. I think I would recommend reading Accidental Mail Order Bride to see what you think for yourself and for the background to the rest of the series. Plus, I wouldn't want to give up on any of J.S. Cooper's series simply based on the previous amazing books she wrote that I have read. Hopefully her future books will be edited better with less editing errors and timeline/plot issues and the heroine will be more mature.
Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I also purchased the book/read with Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.

Amelia and her husband have raised 7 sons there life is perfect but Amelia wants to be a grandmother but mostly she wants her sons to have what she has but there not interested in having a family so Amelia decided to do something slightly crazy in this modern twist on a Mail-order bride so she finds a girl for her eldest first Beau.

Lucy is quirky and dosen't make the best decisions for herself debt check bad boyfriend one connected to the Mob bad check leave your job and the only place you know for Montana and a man you don't know but his mom sounds nice check yes Lucy knows how to jump out of and aeroplane without checking to see if she has a parachute kind of girl. She also loses the address of her intended husband then kisses the wrong brother what a hot mess. Not bad for Lucy's first day in Montana. Now Miss Lucy has to get to know Beau the write brother too bad the wrong brother Austin won't let her forget that kiss and her ex may not like letting her go either.

Okay the good parts Austin and Lucy have chemistry but I kinda felt bad for Beau even if he didn't know what his mother had planned. Austin irked me he wasn't interested in settling down but he wouldn't stop going after Lucy. And Lucy was kinda of a flip flopping hot mess with her brother swapping. It was a cute story and I'm hoping the next book will have a more likable female lead.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and I also purchased a copy too.

This is book one in The Brother's at Horseshoe Ranch Series and it is Lucy and Austin's story and omg what a great start to a new series and it is a must read. Lucy needs to get away after she was going out with Mikey and found out that he was part of a mafia family but he wouldn't let her go so now she has travelled to Montana as a mail order bride hoping that she hasn't made another bad decision which she seems to be doing a lot of since her mum died and now she is hoping that something goes right this time. Austin falls for Lucy as soon as he sees her but when he realised that his mum had set Lucy up with his brother Beau Austin realised that he can't let that happen as Lucy is his but how does he make Lucy realise that she wants Austin and not Beau. Omg I absolutely love this book with all the banter between them and I couldn't put this book down as I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next between them and it was so addictive. The storyline pulled you in right from the first page until the last and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will definitely not be disappointed as I S Cooper is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading and I can't wait to read book two which is Olivia and Beau's story. I rate this book 4.5 stars.

Lucy answers an ad for a mail-order bride and flies from NYC to Montana. Once there, she realizes she forgot the phone number and address at home so goes to a bar to see if anyone knows where Horseshoe Ranch is. After a bit of an embellished story on how she knows the ranch owners, she heads off to the ranch to find that she knows someone in the family! As the Hamilton matriarch had placed the ad without any of her sons knowing, she implies that perhaps Lucy will match up with the eldest Beau. However, gorgeous Beau is, there is no connection between him and Lucy but she does feel a connection without his brother Austin, the die-hard, never going to marry sibling. As Lucy falls in love with the family, she will have to decide whether she can marry Beau or whether to follow her heart with Austin for however long it lasts.

I thought this story was fun and sweet. I loved Lucy's closeness with her best friend Olivia, and some of their conversations made me laugh. And this family is to die for as the parents are so kind, welcoming and loving. I thought Austin and Lucy were adorable together and had great chemistry. I cannot wait to read about the other six brothers!

I received a free advanced review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest opinion.

Accidental Mail Order Bride has now become a J. S. Cooper favorite of mine.

Lucy is unhappy lining in New York when she finds an ad in the newspaper. Amelia Hamilton placed the ad looking for the perfect bride for her son. Lucy answers the ad, corresponds with Amelia, and accepts her offer of a trip to Montana to see if she can find a love connection. When she arrives in Montana on her way to Horseshoe Ranch Lucy meets a mystery man that gives her an amazing kiss and warm welcome to Montana. Once she arrives at the ranch, Lucy begins to meet the family and the Hamilton sons that Amelia wants to marry off. Lucy meets Beau, Austin, and Wyatt. Lucy realizes that Austin was the mystery man she met on her way to the ranch. There is chemistry there that can not be denied. Lucy and Austin find themselves getting to know one another and realizing that they have so much in common. Unfortunately, Lucy believes that she was brought to Montana and the Horseshoe Ranch to marry Beau. Will she give Beau a chance or will Austin continue to be at the forefront of her thoughts and feelings?

Accidental Mail Order Bride was such a fun read filled with friends, family, and stolen kisses. This is a great summer read.

This is the first book in The Brothers at Horseshoe Ranch series and it is one feel good time that you will want to consume in one sitting and then repeat. Lucy has been struggling to make it work in New York City. It does not help that she is reeling from a tragedy and an ex who is on the possessive side. When she finds an ad looking for a mail order bride in Montana, she makes the spontaneous decision to uproot her life and take a chance on the unknown. Austin is one of seven brothers who accidentally meets Lucy when she first arrives in Montana as she stops at a bar for information. From their initial meeting, there is something brewing and when Austin hears what Lucy is asking for, his demeanor changes and he excuses himself. Not long after, Lucy winds up at the Horseshoe Ranch and winds up running into Austin. Did Lucy make the right choice to move to Montana? The storyline is fantastic with characters that feel like family. The banter between the main and secondary characters just elevates the plot to where you do not want it to end. The writing style pulls one in and is so engaging that you feel part of the story itself. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the brothers’ stories.

I have to start of and say it has been a while since I have picked up a book and I simply found it refreshing. This was completely it. I absolutely loved this story that happened between Austin and Lucy. I was able to laugh, to have moments when I didn’t know what was coming next, of course the hot moments and then the ahhhh. Lucy, while I definitely felt like her character could use a self esteem boost was the all-American girl if you really look at her and who has 7, yes count them 7 boys anymore. Our leading man, Austin is one of 7 brothers. I could tell you all about why Lucy came to a ranch in Montana, how she agreed to be part of a prearranged marriage with Austin’s brother Beau, yes you heard correctly. Oh and let’s not forget about her having the hots for Austin and what was to come of that situation? Well, you absolutely will have to read the book to get all the answers and more. There are lots of other people who complete this story. Lastly, you might just find yourself thinking about a trip to the northwest once you hear about all the beauty. Happy reading!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Accidental Mail Order Bride is a very cute story of an unconventional method of finding a wife, all initiated by the mother. Why? Because she wants grandbabies! Amelia Hamilton has good intentions, but somehow, it didn't turn out quite the way she planned. Her eldest son, Beau, has no intention of getting married in the near future, but maybe Lucy can change his mind. She is escaping New York and her possessive ex who's bad news and involved in the Mafia. Her destination is the Horseshoe Ranch, somewhere in Montana. After an amusing incident in the bar where she's asking directions to the ranch, she arrives at the ranch, to the delight of Amelia. The boys? They have no idea what's going on, except Austin, since he was one of the men in the bar where she asked for directions. What happens when one who is to be your husband, isn't that interested in you and you have very little in common? Hilarious and sweet, this is an enchanting story. The characters are relatable and authentic. The dialogue is slightly thin and a little repetitious. Overall, I highly recommend Accidental Mail Order Bride.

Lucy and ???

This was a rather funny but stilted journey. A throwback to the 1800's when mail order brides were a thing.
When mom and dad want to be Gramma and Grampa, and they have seven sons to git R done, well, mom knows best.
The story stalled in so many places, the valley girl talk is repeated, and those man boys were rather backwards. I feel like Beau knew what was going on, tho he never said so, and Olivia and Lucy talked like they were eighteen, maybe they were, Idk.
With seven sons there has to be quite a span in years, unless unrealistically mom popped a baby out every eleven months, which could still put Beau's age at approximately thirty years old. What are these boy men doing still living with Mom and Dad in the same house? Awkward!! Austin's character didn't quite fit his description either. Lucy, being from the New York area just stuttered and stammered, lied and flip flopped too much for me.
I do think it could have been written at a faster pace and with more spontaneity.
When I find errors in the writing, it takes me out of the story to mentally correct it, and not intentionally either.

I received this ebook ARC from the author on the condition that I write an honest review.
J. S. Cooper has done it again, she’s written another great book! I loved the whole mail order bride scenario. A strong female with the only solution is to go and marry an unknown stranger. This book took the mail order bride of the 1800’s, and moved it to modern times, and made it even better.
Austin and Lucy meet at a bar, but she is in town to marry Beau, Austin’s brother. This mail order arrangement is the idea of Beau, and Austin’s mother. Her plan is to find wives for her sons, and hopefully they’ll give her grandkids.
There is a total attraction between Austin and Lucy, but it goes slowly, because Lucy doesn’t want to hurt their mother’s feelings. Austin begins to prove his love for Lucy and finally wins her heart. Austin’s mother had planned for Austin and Lucy to fall in love, and she succeeded. The story ends in a heartfelt HEA.
I’ve read several books written by J. S. Cooper, and highly recommend them.
