He was a bad boy then…and he hasn’t changed. This second-chance fling will never last.
I was thrilled to take on my biggest PR client yet…until I saw who it was. Lucas Harrison. The guy who once promised me the world. The guy who suddenly and unceremoniously dumped me.
I will remain professional. I’m not his to kiss. He can’t have his way with me.
But, with just one look, all of my senses come alive. His touch takes my breath away. Lucas is not the commitment type. I’m in big trouble.
Lola Gabriel has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Amelia and Lucas. Amelia and Lucas had been a couple the summer before they were to go to college. Just before they left, Lucas broke up with her for no reason. Now eight years later, his father, Peter has brought him to Seeley PR to fix the family name. Amelia is the one who is in charge of the campaign When she walks in and sees Lucas, she has a look that said she rather be anywhere but there with him. After his father and her boss leave the room, she tells him to tell her everything he has been doing. He tells her and she then sets up things to improve his image. At first, things are not going so well for him until he realized he wanted Amelia back. Once he realized that he starts to do better. They get back together and things are going fine until he gets a text from Paolo, an old college friend inviting him to a birthday party. Lucas is not supposed to party while the campaign is going on but he goes anyway. Things get bad for Lucas when pictures of him and Yoanna, a woman he hooked up with for a booze-fueled weekend were posted with the headline Lucas Harrison: Homewrecker? Exclusive, Never Before Seen Photos! Lucas checks his phone and it was turned off. When it is turned on, he sees messages from Amelia and his father. The message from Amelia tells him to come to the office, it's important. When he gets there, he is shown into the conference room. Amelia's boss, Cheryl, his father, and Amelia are all there. Hello, Lucas, Cheryl said, her eyes are colder than the first time he saw her. " Do you know why we call you in here on such short notice?" "Yes. I can explain at least half of it. This felt like his trips to the principal's office but much worse. "I promise." "Go ahead," Amelia said finally looking at him. He felt a punch to his gut seeing her eyes so dead and cold when the last time he saw her they were warm and loving. He tells them that he and Yoanna had hooked up two years ago but she had told him that she was separated. His father starts in on him and Lucas tells him that he just forgot. He hooked up a lot that summer and Yoanna was kind of odd, so he just suppressed her from his memory. Everyone starts again and all Lucas wants to do is leave. "Can I leave now?" he asked. "No, you have to stay and discuss damage control with Amelia. Cheryl said. Amelia cc me on those emails. Okay?" Amelia nodded. His father and assistant, and Cheryl leave the room. She won't look at him and her anger is coming off her in waves. Once gone it is just Lucas and Amelia and he starts to say something. "Amelia..." "Don't speak, Lucas. she said, her voice low as she looked at the screen in front of her. They sit in silence for a while until it gets to be too much for Lucas."I'm sorry," he said. I know it doesn't mean much, but I have today it again. Amelia looked up at him and she had the same look as she did when he first came to meet with her after eight years. It was a look that said that she would rather be anywhere than with him. When she speaks, it is to tell him what she is going to do to try and fix things. I don't know if it will work. Lucas tells her that it will. She looks out the window and said, "I don't know what to do with you. “I don’t know how you convince me to trust you again and again, but then you go and do something like this.” I didn’t know what to say about that. “I asked you— pretty much begged you to tell me anything like this before we started. And I explicitly told you not to party. And now we’re here,” she said. Her eyes looked damp. Amelia wasn’t the crying type, which made it even worse to see. “This seriously set you back, and me back by extension. I don’t know if I can trust you or that you’ll tell the full truth.” “I know, and I’m so sorry, Amelia. “Sorry’s not going to do much in this situation.” She gathered her laptop and stood. “I’ll go ahead and send an email of our rough plans for the new branch of the campaign. Keep an eye on your email, please.” I stood too, swallowing. “Does this mean we’re…?” She could fill in the blanks. I knew the answer, but I didn’t want to believe it until she said it. “We’re done, Lucas.” She stepped past me and put her hand on the doorknob. “And once this is over, I only want to speak to you if it has to do with my job.” Amelia can't believe what Lucas has done to her. It hurts all over again to lose him but she has to look out for her. She went into the bathroom, picking the farthest stall from the door, and tried to cry as quietly as she could. She gathered a bunch of flimsy toilet paper and pressed it to her eyes. It was like she was hit with a tsunami of terrible— betrayal, disappointment, shock, bewilderment, all rolled up in a Lucas-shaped package. Cheryl had called her into her office before calling the meeting with Lucas and his father and told her how disappointed she was in her and how bad this looked for the company. But all of that paled in comparison to losing Lucas again in this way. She had trusted him, and it blew up in her face. He had seemed so sincere about turning over a new leaf. Was that just to get back in my good graces? Well, that had worked. And now she felt like her heart had been torn out through her chest with a sword. Hannah came in looking for Amelia. She asked her if she was okay. Amelia said "no." Amelia goes back to work. Now that she and Lucas is no longer together, she can put more hours in at work. The only contact she has with Lucas is through emails and they only concern work. Peter has called a meeting and wants to know what is being done with the campaign when told he is not happy. Cheryl brings in Benji to help with the campaign. Amelia is not happy about this and she gets upset again. Hannah sees her and asked, "if she wanted to go to lunch?" When they get back. Amelia is told that Cheryl wanted to see her. When she gets to Cheryl's office, things get worse for her. Cheryl tells her that Peter is an important client and can bring in more clients and he is not happy with her work on the campaign so she is being let go. Will Amelia find another job in the field she loves? Will Amelia and Lucas find their way back together? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Harrison Billionaires series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Two people met guy makes promises and then break promises that would be Lucas sexy all get out billionaire made so many promises never intended to break them but circumstances and decisions now he has a second chance. Amelia believed every word Lucas told her and waited for him to make good on the promises made but that never happened in fact left her broken. Fast forward to today Amelia excited about her biggest PR client yet but upon meeting said client and realizing is the very man who ripped her heart out, stomped on it and gave it back to her (not actual but felt that way) ☹ now he is her client. Lucas knows how she feels but the chemistry is still just as intense as it was then and will do what he needs to make her see/understand the situation. Sometimes miscommunication can make or break a situation and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored so ill these two grab ahold of their second chance and find their own happiness?
He needs an image overhaul and she has the power to do it or will she take him down instead
Second Chance Secrets is the third book in the Harrison Billionaires series and is the story of Amelia and Lucas Harrison. They had been together during high school but he dumped her at the end of the summer just before they went to college. He really did not give a good reason why except something about them being at different colleges, even though they were both in Boston. It is now eight years later and their paths cross again when Lucas causes yet another issue for the family and a new PR firm is brought in to try and fix things. Amelia works for Seeley PR and it is her boss that assigns her this new job. Well isn't this going to get interesting. This story was entertaining even though it is a bit formulaic with the rich partying bad boy and the hardworking poorer good girl who end up having a second chance. I did really like Amelia but Lucas I wanted to cuff upside the head more than a few times. He was nothing but a man-child who really needed to grow up and take responsibility for his own life. I also did not like his father as he had been the one who really split them up, and he was never confronted about it really.

Lots of angst-filled behind-the-scenes drama in this book which is a departure from the shifter books I am used to reading from Lola Gabriel but I enjoyed it a great deal! Lucas had some major image repair needed and Amelia was the one tasked with providing the solution despite Lucas having abruptly dumped her eight years earlier for some unknown reason. Amelia rises to the challenge and things are moving along smoothly until Lucas commits a major faux pas which costs him the forward progression he had been making in restoring his image and costs Amelia her job. This was a well-written book that takes the reader into the world of public relations and gives us a good look at the cutthroat nature it can entail. I enjoyed reading how Lucas and Amelia are able to navigate the treacherous waters and emerge with their HEA. Very good.

Lucas and Amelia were together in high school until his dad laid down the law and they broke up. Years later, Lucas has made PR problems for his father and is forced into having a PR firm work with him.... Amelia has been given his case. She works steadily and it gets better for the case and for them, until he goes out and parties and the news rags get worse. Unhappy, his father and the PR firm let her go and they do not see each other again. The amazing way he says he is sorry was wonderful and with a lot of meaning. The characters are terrific and have such huge backstories and intense feelings. The storyline takes you from crying with them to laughing at the realizations. Surprises and twists compliment the story. Loved the two working together toward a beautiful ending.

Amelia works for a PR company and has been given a new client that she is hoping will help get her a promotion. But when she meets the new client for the first time it's turns out to be her ex Lucas who dumped her before they went to college and who needs help in saving his families reputation. Amelia must work with him if she wants her promotion, but what happens when old feelings start to reappear, will Amelia be able to forgive Lucas for breaking her heart when she finds out the truth about their breakup and will Lucas be able to stop his partying ways before it's too late.
I enjoyed this story, it can be read as a standalone but I plan to read the other stories too.

We are now at book three in the Harrison Billionaires series. This is a second chance at a love story. They dated in high school before college, but he broke things off before they went to college. Now, years later, they are brought back together. She never knew why he broke up with her but she finds out and forgives him. Now she has to help clean up his image for his father's campaign. When these two get together again, he does some stupid stuff and gets caught after he was told not to do anything like that. There is drama and heartache. There is love but also betrayal. With his mess up, what does this mean for her job and for their relationship?

When Lucas's partying lifestyle to it's turn to the last straw, he found himself in the office of an old girlfriend from eight years ago, Amelia, one he always thought of. Amelia was in charge of revamping Lucas's image, as she started to talking with Lucas, she realizes she has more of a task than she realized, especially since her attraction to him was as strong as when they were in school.
Amelia works hard on changing Lucas's image, but it seems that trouble keeps on finding him. Just when things are looking up, Lucas slips, damaging more than his image, he cause her career to end. This is a emotional charged story with a number of up, down, twist and turns. Good addition to the series.

They had been a couple during high school and had dreamt of a common future, until the day he vanished, whisked away by his father. Ironically it is his father, that brings them back together again, when he asks the head of a PR company to have their best "man" create a better image for his son, who is known for drinking and partying and nothing else. Amelia wants to refuse the task, but has no choice but to take it. For Lucas it is a chance he had thought he would never have to re-gain her love. A difficult conquest, with lots of ups and downs and misunderstandings. An engaging plot and an entertaining story that was absolutely fun to read. Amelia and Lucas meet up again years later after a bad break-up. Amelia is in charge of cleaning up Lucas's bad image and doesn't want to do it but she doesn't have a choice. As they spend more time together, their chemistry flares up and they get closer. However, Lucas's bad decisions, and events from the past come up and threaten to destroy him and them. They will really need to work it all out if they want their shot at happiness. I thought this was a fun read though to be honest, Lucas drove me nuts. And Amelia is too sweet to him!

I loved this passionate book, I was addicted to it from the start and couldn’t put it down. I felt for Lucas, after meeting his father I understood why he behaved the way he did. Amelia is so smart and hard working, I know at the time her world fell apart, she felt it was the worst, but I think it was a good thing in the end. Like most you won’t change unless it’s something you want, not what someone else is forcing you into. I loved seeing these characters grow into the wonderful people you know they are capable of being. You won’t be disappointed with this Harrison brother.

Eight years later Amelia is a Harverd graduate that works at a PR firm, and Lucas becomes her client. Their road from there is though, both between them and also their personal road. When they see each other after so many years the spark is still there but as always Lucas messes up ruining everything and breaking Amelia's heart all over again. I really enjoyed this book by Lola Gabriel. How would you feel if your new client was the man who broke your heart. Can they stay professional or will they fall for each other. I loved the characters and the story line. This book has plenty steam and you should have a cold drink while reading. I know you will love this second chance story

Second Chance Secrets (Harrison Billionaires Book 3)
this book was very fun to read. . Sexy, intense emotions, obvious stupidity in choices made by Lucas, finally getting a grip on reality and doing the right things. Amelia making better choices for herself too. I can't wait to read the next book in the Harrison Billionaires series.
Lucas is a party boy and a trust fund baby who has done nothing useful since college ended. His father hires a PR firm to rehabilitate his image, and Amelia is put in charge of him. They had a thing years ago and the spark gets easily rekindled, but leaving his old ways isn't as easy as they'd both hoped and they break up. To win back Amelia or his own self respect he has to find something adultlike to do with his life.
This is a familiar trope but I really enjoyed it. The only thing missing for me is that there was no reckoning or closure with his father. The point of view alternates between her and his first person POV. Maturity level: Includes scenes of sexual nature and drug usage

Wonderfully fantastic... The book was amazing... It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it... The characters and their personalities match them perfectly... The plot and the storyline were very descriptive and amazing...
I loved reading about these 2. Amelia and Lucas seem so different, yet just mesh although not without difficulty. Funny at times, touching at others. This is a good addition to the series.
