First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Flint is the second book in the ‘’veterans of Vermont’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Flint and Caitlynn were once so in love until Flint walked away. Years later and Caitlynn ends up moving to the same town as Flint. Flint wants his woman back but will she give him a second chance?
The chemistry between Flint and Caitlynn is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Flint and Caitlyn's Story . . .
Back when they were younger, Caitlyn was willing to give up her dreams for Flint, so he broke up and left her to prevent that. He broke off their engagement and had gone into the military with her brother, Bowie. Now she has moved to Pink Springs to join her brother, and her internship at the hospital starts the next morning at 6 a.m. Everything is perfect; there has to be a catch. Then she looks in her rearview mirror and sees a police car behind her. The first officer says her tail light is out, then the second man walks up and tells his buddy never mind. He knows her and it will be fixed by the next day. She never expected see Flint standing there! But now was not the time for them to talk about their past. When she drove away and Flint returned to the squad car, his partner asked him what he planned to say when she discovered both tail lights were fine . . .
Seeing Caitlyn again, Flint believes he is being given a second chance to start over with the woman he loves. He vows to win her back, no matter what he has to do. Will she accept this as a second chance as well? Will they get the HEA they missed out on the first time?

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Caitlyn is about to have the life that she has wanted ever since she was a little girl, she has dreamed of being a Doctor ever since she lost her mother to cancer. Since that day the only person she has had to rely on that hasn’t let her down is her brother Bowie. He is back from his tour with the military and has been building a life in Pink Springs which is just where she is heading when she gets pulled over by the local police only to be face to face with the man she has spent years convincing herself that she was well and truly over, her first and only love Flint, the man that walked away from her like what they had shared was nothing. It soon becomes clear that she is still as much in love with Flint as she was when he left her but can she risk him leaving her all over again?
Flint left behind the woman that he loved when he enlisted, she has always been the one that he loved and knew that was never going to change but for Caitlyn to follow her dreams he knew that he has to leave, especially when all she had ever dreamed about was being a doctor and he knew he was only going to hold her back. This series although they are still light and super sweet, there is a sadness to them as well as each one of these men have been affected by war and the loss of someone they considered family and keeping their vow to him. Loving these books though and would recommend them. 4.5* Read

Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Second chance are sometimes everything Caitlyn’s brother is back home in Pink Springs, Pink Springs has the best internship programs, and now his she has decided to move back for those two reasons. Flint sexy as all get out friend of Caitlyn’s brother, in love with Caitlyn but left her just when she felt she needed him. Upon moving back Caitlyn literally runs into Flint the chemistry is still just as intense as it was years ago, and the magnetic pull won’t be ignored. Fate ensuring, they at least have some contact which intensifies that magnetic pull. Book 2 of Veterans of Vermont series. When Caitlyn leaves New York to move to a small town in Vermont, she thought her brother would be the first familiar face she sees. Instead it's her ex-fiance, Flint, who left her more than 5 years ago to join the military. Flint is a police officer now and breaking up with Caitlyn has left him with regrets. But the fact that she's in town must be fate. He'll do whatever he can to earn a second chance. Will she forgive him? I like this story! It's short, told in dual POV, with likable characters that already share an emotional/physical connection, well-intentioned actions and a satisfying epilogue. I like that Flint still maintained his feelings for Caitlyn even though they were apart. Sweet with heat!

While I love a man in uniform (pretty much any will do...), I am a less forgiving person. Caitlyn just moves to Pink Springs to start her internship at the hospital and be closer to her brother. What she doesn't know is that her ex-fiance Flint lives there too and is a cop. Now I would have not given him a second chance. It seemed to me that while trying to make him a sympathetic character, injury, guilt and grief, he took trying to get back with Caitlyn like a challenge, almost like a game. He acted cocky and kind of like, "Well she can't resist me so I'll take her to bed and that will be that." Idk I didn't have much sympathy for him regardless of his heroics in war.

Caitlyn and Flint had been engaged before he and her brother went into the military. Neither has been able to move on since they separated and now she is in the same town as he is, finishing her medical residency. The sparks are still there but they have some talking to do first, and a brother is watching closely.
The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings that never left. The storyline gives you the feels of how they are without their friend and how much Flint missed Caitlyn. A little suspense when he gets a phone call about a job. The ending and epilogue were perfect

Flint knows a second chance at love with the woman he has loved for so long has been given to him when he sees Caitlyn after so many years.
Caitlyn accepts an internship at the hospital in Vermont to stay near her brother, but she never thought of seeing Flint there.
Although at first, I didn’t understand why Flint abandoned Caitlyn, then his intention was very clear. I liked he was capable of sacrifice himself for her dreams.
There were some incongruities about the surgery: when the patient is quite close to one of the surgical team, he or she doesn’t participate unless it is a death or life situation.
Apart from that, it was enjoyable.

Caitlyn has her dream internship in the same town as her brother, one set back is her ex is in the same town. Flint joined the military with Bowie and left Caitlyn with out talking to her, but for him he had a good reason. Now that they are in the same town, Flint is hoping to make Caitlyn understand why he left and hope she gives him another try.
Flint and Caitlyn's tale is a fast read the includes the love of a soul mate, the heart of family and finding trust through the pain. This is a sweet romance that you can't help but get lost in.

Caitlyn heads to Pink Springs, where her brother, Bowie settled down after his military service with his team to fulfill a promise to their friend, Harlow whom died in the line of duty. They are there to help take care of his mom and siblings. What Caitlyn did not know was her ex-fiancee, Flint was one of the team members in town. It was going to open up all the wounds she had worked so hard to heel. Flint wanted her back. He only enlisted, so she would go on to school becoming the doctor like she always wanted. A wonderful heart warming story.

I really loved the story of Flint and Caitlin. These characters are hilarious from the start and you definitely want them to end up together!! Flint broke off their engagement years ago to join the military and to let her follow her dream of becoming a doctor. Now they are both living in a small town and Flint is hoping to convince Caitlin to give him a second chance. I loved the steamy scene in this book, it was so well written. I loved these characters and could have read more about them! Looking forward to what comes next in this series.

An absolutely fantastic second chance book two in the Veterans of Vermont series! It is emotionally deep, well written, engaging, funny, and relatable with drama, unresolved feelings, steam, likeable characters, and undeniable chemistry. Definitely recommended!

This is Caitlyn and Flint's second chance romance after he broke her heart five years ago when he also broke their engagement and left for the military. Love that they were able to get their second chance as they were both miserable apart and thought they were perfect for each other.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it, I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

An entertaining second book in this Veterans of Vermont series. The story is enjoyable, the characters are likeable and fit well together. The story will hold your attention all the way through. I am looking forward to read the next book.

This is a short read but packs a lot into it. You are caught up in the story from the beginning. Loved the characters and found myself in these few pages feeling like they were friends. Great read!

Flint and Caitlyn were always meant to be together, but circumstances tore them apart. Flint leaving and not giving Caitlyn a choice in the matter. This novella features heartbreak healing and a happy ending. I am enjoying this military romance series even though they are novellas and I want so much more when they end. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.

Caitlyn is doing her residence in Prairie Rose where her brother has moved. She is excited to see him again. Entering the town she gets pulled over by a cop for having a taillight out. When the cop comes up to the car she is surprised to see it is her ex boyfriend, ex fiancé Flint. She had no idea he was living here! They definitely are not on good terms. He left her to join the service. She is still angry and hurt. This is a tender, heartwarming story about old love, forgiveness, compassion, passion, romance and a love that is forever! Lovable characters. Great story!
