I never should've let my guard down. Especially not with him.

I'm used to being strong. In control. I have to be to run my corporation. So, I should've been able to hold my own against him. Against his relentless charm and devastating good looks.

But I couldn't.

I didn't.

It doesn't matter that our companies are irrevocably tied together, or that being with him is beyond inappropriate. It doesn't matter that he's a known player and I don't tolerate games. It doesn't even matter that he makes me lose my prized control with every heated glance, stolen touch, and dirty whisper.

I crave him.

Being with him could cost me everything I've worked so hard to build. But as strong as I am, I can't seem to walk away.

Now, all I have to do is decide whether the cost of following my heart--which is pushing me straight into Alex Grayson's arms--is more than I'm willing to pay.

Mr. Grayson, book 4 in the Billionaire's Club series, is a spicy, office, contemporary romance designed to steam up your reading. Oh this book is certainly long. Good thing it entertained me. Miss Marks writes a book with combination of slow burn, real daily life twist and fun banter. I have not read other books in this series. Count on me to pick up another book in this series.

Mr Grayson tells a story between Alex and Bree. Their meet cute is when Bree begged Alex to be her faked fiancee in front of her ex. Turned out Alex is Bree's new business partner. They both have instant connection and their banter is super fun and cute. I like Alex. He is sassy and resourceful. Bree is drama queen but I do not hate her.

Their chemistry is slow but sure. When they finally get together, I rejoiced with them. Overall, Mr Grayson took me by surprise.

Colin Brooks inherited his father’s company but he asked Alex to manage it for him. Jim Mitchell Alex’s best friend asked him to head up the company and partner with Stone. So both Brooks and Stone are under the umbrella of Mitchell Holdings.
Couples
#1 Dr. Jake Mitchell and Ashley Taylor. They have 2 children.
#2 Mr. James Mitchell and Avery and daughter Addy. They have 2 children
#3 Dr Colin Brooks and DrElena Alvarez
#4 Alexander Grayson and Breanne Stone

*Alex like Breanne

I loved the idea of her being mine to protect from any shady bastard who would dare to hurt this woman in any way. The sentiment was a total shock to me, but it wasn’t unwelcome.

*Flirting Breanne with Alex
“You at least owe me a kiss,” I pressed. “Or ten, now that you’ve destroyed my suit.” She pressed her lips together. “Oh, God. We’d be in trouble.” She then gave me a flirty smile and opened her car door. “Because I don’t think I could stop at one kiss with you and that gorgeous Johnny-Depp look you have.”( He hates looking like Jonny Depp)

*Attraction to Breanne

She was hypnotically beautiful and carried herself well as a businesswoman, especially since she’d been on fire all week after dealing with the last of her scandalous employees. If Breanne’s no-nonsense demeanor were the only turn-on for me, I’d probably be safe from her charms. Unfortunately, that damn dimpled smile of hers was going to be my undoing if I wasn’t careful.
*Alex self analysis
My personal life with women was even worse. It had always been about me and never about them. No matter how hard I tried, I could never manage to care about a woman’s feelings. Until Breanne, and that’s why I was lost as fuck at the moment.

*Alex 🥰 in love
“I’m in love with you, Bree,” he softly said and laid his head against my chest. “I didn’t fully realize that until now.”

Breanne thoughts about ❤️ love

I hoped to hell he meant it because I was starting to feel the exact words he’d just declared. The hardest part would be getting over the fact that I didn’t believe love could be like this—fast and hard.

“I think I’m in love with you too,” I finally spoke.
*Alex trying to understand his feelings about Bree

Never before in my adult life had anything taken complete control of my sense of reason, my body, and my actions until I impulsively kissed Bree’s lips.
*Alex
“I’ve never told a woman I loved her in my life. Hell, I’ve never felt this way about any woman.”“I know these are strong emotions. I know I want you solely for myself, and I know for a fact that I’m never letting you leave me.”
*Alex
“She’d say that her daughter was so beautiful and brilliant that even the harshest of men could be brought to their knees by her beautiful dimples,” Alex rubbed my cheek as his eyes searched my face, “and that her daughter rescued a doomed man.” He pulled me in tight and brought his lips to my ear. “And that’s the fucking truth.”

*Alex proposing on a Titanic tour longest proposal ever and funniest 😂 💋 ❤️ 🍷p 🛳

all I wanted was to beg you to forgive me and allow me a chance to prove I can never love anyone other than you. I love you, Breanne Stone. There’s no doubt in my heart about that now.” Alex pulled out a Tiffany & Company box, and instead of gasping, crying, and impulsively grabbing Alex and hugging the man and never wanting to let him go, I was stopped in humor at how ridiculous his friends were behaving. There was no way in the world I could get mad at any of this. It was as hilarious as it was beautiful, and I would never forget this moment. I watched in shock as Alex knelt and opened the box, and that’s when Collin sang loudly, performing the part of the song where Celine Dion sings her heart out. Then I glanced down and watched Alex’s eyes close and his lips tighten in humor. It was all priceless, and I couldn’t help but join everyone in laughter. Alex looked back at Collin. “Your heart will most definitely go on that damn jet if you don’t stop singing,” Alex tried to warn through a laugh. “That was the part where you ask Breanne to—well, you know,” Collin said with a grin. “I set that up perfectly for you. My voice didn’t crack or anything. Celine Dion would’ve begged me for a duet if she heard it too.” He shrugged. “Now, you ruined all of it. Talk about wasting your talent.” “Wasting my talent, or yours?” “Ask Breanne,” Collin said, putting his arm around his laughing wife. “She’ll admit that was a nice setup for everything you had planned.” “It was epic,” Jake fake-agreed with Collin, trying to keep a straight face. “Now, that ship has sailed, and you’re stuck without Collin’s vocals because, let’s face it, you’ll never hit those notes again, Coll.” Jake shrugged. “Never again. I’m still trying to accept that I nailed that, and Alex and Breanne aren’t locked in some passionate kiss?” “You know, Alex,” I finally interrupted the men, “it’s going to be really difficult to accept a proposal since Collin’s voice is shot, and I don’t have him on karaoke for your background music.” Alex rose and held my face between his hands. “I’ve got two failed marriage proposal attempts, and I’m begging you to forgive me for stopping my best idiot friend from singing as I attempted this proposal the right way.” “And now, I have to turn you down again?” I teased him, forgetting the soft laughter coming from everyone—including Nat’s hushed squeals. Everything was out of focus, while Alex’s beautiful green eyes were more beautiful and dazzling brighter than the huge rock that he held between both of us. “I know this is yet another not so ideal proposal situation, but this time, my head is right. I know exactly what I want and why I want it. I need you in my life, and all of this,” he waved his hand to remind me of the Titanic excursion again, “is when my heart knew that I was in love with you. My mind didn’t grasp it all at the time, but it was that particular moment when you compared that faulty job to this ship that I knew I was in love with you.” “So, this whole experience wasn’t so Collin could sing off-key to Celine Dion? It wasn’t about that romantic movie you never watched?” I grinned at him. “Absolutely not,” he admitted. “Being here, on your birthday, was just me, trying to bring it back full-circle to the day I unknowingly fell in love with you.” “I’ll marry you on one condition.” I arched an eyebrow at the man I loved and cherished more than I could sincerely express. “Anything,” he said. “You can play a sex tape at our wedding for all I give a damn. I just want you and only you in my life forever.” “Since you appear to be the only one who hasn’t seen that movie…” “Oh, hell,” Alex looked at me with the most adorable and pleading expression. “I’ve watched every Grace Kelly movie with you, and Fred Astaire, and Carey Grant—I unknowingly fell in love with you.” “I’ll marry you on one condition.” I arched an eyebrow at the man I loved and cherished more than I could sincerely express. “Anything,” he said. “You can play a sex tape at our wedding for all I give a damn. I just want you and only you in my life forever.” “Since you appear to be the only one who hasn’t seen that movie…” “Oh, hell,” Alex looked at me with the most adorable and pleading expression. “I’ve watched every Grace Kelly movie with you, and Fred Astaire, and Carey Grant—all of the old romance films you’ve fallen asleep to in my arms.” I recalled how much I knew he hated watching old movies, but he watched them anyway. “It counts for something, right?” he asked. “But I can watch our movie with you a hundred times, Dorothy, with my new heart you’ve insisted the wizard give me. I will gladly watch that movie with you.” He kissed my ring finger. “But only if you put my outward expression of love on your finger.” I sniffed as I started to cry, officially caught up in the moment with the man I loved more than anything, and I felt more solid about marrying him than I felt about anything else in this world. Alex returned to bended knee in front of me. “I humbly ask you to marry me or at least start over and date me until the day comes that you feel confident enough to become my wife.” “What if I told you that I felt confident enough that I would marry you now if I could?” I knelt in front of him. “Well, that would put us all back on the plane and off to Vegas as your birthday evening stop, doing that Titanic experience,” he looked back at Avery’s grin, as she leaned into Jim’s side, “and Elvis handling our vows.” I smiled. “Avery is on the hunt for ghosts. Give her a pass for that.” “Avery and Jim can remain behind to find Avery a ghost,” Alex grinned at me. “Baby, I love you. We’re going to have a massive-ass wedding, and I even had a lovely conversation with your Aunt Blaire about it.” “You talked to her?” “Yes,” his hand covered mine and slid the ring on. “She was a bit nicer than the last time I saw her.” He kissed the ring he put on my finger. “She said you were thrilled about the wedding you had intended to have the first time, but you hated the idiot who ruined it all. Is she lying about loving the big wedding?” I softly laughed. “I guess I was thrilled to have a big, beautiful wedding day. Marrying the wrong man was what ruined it all. That, and I’m never doing fashion week again. I’ll only go to Paris because Theo’s there, and I can happily shop for wedding dresses with him.” He held me close, and we clung to each other. It took me finally feeling Alex’s soft and firm lips on mine to prevent me from laughing when Collin and Jake returned to their background serenade. Eventually, I couldn’t help but giggle into mine and Alex’s kiss. “Sorry, I was thinking about how full my heart is, and then they’re singing that song…” I shrugged to Alex’s grin. “So long as you and I will be married one day, I say let’s get out of here,” he said. “I have a hotel booked for you and me, and these party animals aren’t finding out what room number we’re in. Happy Birthday, baby. I love you so much,”

This book is my favorite of the series so far. It made me hurt, cry, & quite literally laugh out loud. It shattered my heart & healed it at the same time. It shows a tortured past does not define who we are & deserve to be if we cut ourselves a break.

rough hard to make it through

I read about 80 books a year in the romance genre. This is the first review I have left on a book. I don’t know how this book was rated so highly. It is poorly written and just doesn’t even have a nice flow. Yes, there were some good scenes but overall the story could have been told in about 150 pages. The author repeated information and it didn’t develop the plot or characters. I struggled to finish it and I don’t even know why I stayed until the end.

i mean, it wasn't bad, i did enjoy the book. but it did feel incredibly long, and i also feel like we kind of lost the plot along the way. the FL felt a little stupid to me, and the spice scenes were just OKAY. mediocre book, but i didn't hate it

Early childhood trauma can and does cause endless issues to deal with. It robs one of enjoyment of current activities and often interferes with relationships. This was a credible portrayal of this.

It is a toss up between Alex and Brees story and Avery and Jims story of which is my favorite. There is something about Alex that I really love. I think its because he is definitely far from perfect which makes him even more attractive and interesting. I love his love for Bree. I like that this story showed Bree and Alex's true love by the sacrifices they made for one another until the end.

Alex and Breanne. Have a rough start as they try to merge 2 businesses together. For Alex, it is business and easy for him as he makes cuts, but Bree must lose her families company to merge into 1 new company. Her dad had it set up before he passed. But, her associates took advantage and were stealing her blind. Alex had to show her these problems. Their relationship got off to a bad start. She is broke, and he has demons in his past that keep him at bay from anyone trying to get near him.
This author does not write conversations that are easy to follow. But the book was good abs the ending lovely.

Great Read

3 1/2 Stars. This book was ok definitely not as good as the first 3 books. I didn't feel the chemistry and possessiveness (in a strong good way) that I did in the past 3 books. I was hoping for more form Alex since he was the one I looked forward to the most. I would definitely reccomend it still. The epilogue was a bit rushed and I love epilogues.

I had to DNF this one. I'm DNFing the rest of the series. I tried to like the book. I tried to like the series. I gave it two stars instead of my normal one for DNFing because it's not a bad book per se or bad series. I just cannot get into it. It's way too long for what it is, and most of it just draaaaaaags along. All four book that I've read were like that. And I'm sitting there like, "Why do I keep reading these when I obviously do not like them, and Amazon keeps tempting me with others?" I'm not saying I've sworn off this author forever, but I am coming to an end for the series.

I utterly adore this book. I love all the books in this series and I honestly thought Collin was my favourite but Mr Alexander Grayson. Wow. What a guy. I don't know if it's because his story resonates with my husband's childhood or I just feel connected to him on some weird, fictional level but this book is my favourite by Raylin so far. I love how up to date you are kept with the cheeky doctors and Jim throughout all the series and how the new characters are brought in but Alex steals the show for me. Breanne is gorgeous and too kindhearted for her own good. I adore it. I don't know what else to say. I'm usually so good with words but this book and our hot as sin Alexander has totally got me lost for words. Can't wait for the next 2 books in the series, if only to give me the excuse the read the first four again first! Brilliantly written. I couldn't put it down and read it all in one day/evening.

Maybe i haven’t given it a fair chance yet and I may just be in an unforgiving mood but im 8 minutes in and irrevocably pissed at the female lead. She can shut up not everything is about her and like I don’t see why we need to be pissed at the merger. Like you aint good at shit so accept someone gracious enough to help pick up your shit. Yep I can’t keep going this has pissed me off too much.
im at the part where she’s about to enter the event and the inner dialogue is the most stupid unneccesary bullshit ive heard WHO TF NEEDS TO TALK THAT MUCH TO THEMSELVES LIKE PLS SHUT TF UP give me peace

literally quitting now dw. never deleting this maybe ill come back in a more patient mood.

This author gets better and better! It isn't often that I read a book and want to instantly re-read it! This is definitely my favourite of the series so far!

Alexander Grayson is a hard-nosed businessman and Bree is very reluctant to meet him following the merger of his company with hers, something she is not happy about at all.

This story has it all, it's funny, romantic, sad. In fact it has all the feels and I highly recommend it. I can't wait for the next instalment. Raylin Marks has become my new one click author!

I love this series from Raylin Marks and while I wavered on my star rating here (so let's call it a 3.5), this wasn't my favorite of the bunch. However, it's still sweet, slightly dramatic, funny, and has one heck of an epic ongoing and persistent spicy section.

General gist with spoilers:

🔵Rating - 3.5 stars - cute, witty, funny, relatable, sappy, spicy AF
🔵Steam - overall 3 stars, but the scenes themselves were 5 star worthy!
🔵Storyline - 3 stars - this story felt a little dragged out in comparison to the others. I did start skimming towards the end as I felt the story being prolonged. Which was odd since I also felt like the ending was abrupt and lacked detail.
🔵Plot Twists - 4 stars - those repressed memories sure were a kicker! But so was that !
🔵Emotional Pull - 4 stars - just barely on the brink of tears....whhhyyyy
🔵Writing - 4 stars - very comfortable to read
🔵Denouement - 3 stars - slight bummer here. I feel like we skipped to far and then missed out on some key moments during the
🔵Cliffhanger? - no
🔵HEA? - yes

I love these books. Especially this one.
They first met at an event and her ex fiancé was also there. So she needed a fake finance and that man happened to be Alex.

Alex’s company kinda bought her company because she was either going bankrupt or because he promised her dad.

Alex had a traumatic past. His father was an alcoholic and he blamed the death of his twin brother on him. When Alex and Bree were in a relationship they fell and love and all. Then his mother died and he went to bury her and Bree went with him. At the after event his younger sister talked to him and told her again that everything was his fault and then he acted differently. He was distant and fell into a depression. He went to therapy but didn’t tell Bree anything about it. Before he went they broke up. But I feel like they didn’t break up because of miscommunication but because Alex felt like he couldn’t love even though the things he did for Bree told another story.
HE NAMED A BOAT AFTER HER
Bree delivered Elenas baby in Alex’s car which was so funny. And they named their son after Alex
Breanne had to sell her car because she was broke. When Alex noticed he bought her a 150k car. Then she also wanted to sell the first house she built with her father because she didn’t have any money. Alex didn’t want her to do that though and so she kinda moved in with him.
Jim, his best friend, told him to tell Bree about his past. I honestly thought that they would break up because he wouldn’t talk to her.
Alex proposed to her ON HER BIRTHDAY on a titanic board replica because at the beginning she was talking about a project and thought of it like it was sinking like the titanic or sth. During the proposal Jake and Coll sang the titanic song which was hilarious.
They had their wedding where they first met and played fiancé. At that point she was ALREADY PREGNANT with TWINS.
Bree is a badass. She put her own paychecks into her company that was on the edge of going bankrupt. Only to find out that her own employees stole money from her. I loved how she and Alex didn’t fight much or hardly ever and when he fell into a depression she wanted to be there for him.

Ashley stopped living and dropped out of school to help her mom when she got sick, she is an amazing artist who been struggling since her mom died. Jacob is an amazing cardiologist who doesn’t have time for relationships, and he always gets what he wants. Jacob is mesmerized by Ashley who accidentally spills her cup of ice coffee on him. Ashley goes to a family wedding and runs into Jacob who is there not only on business, but he is also part of the wedding. Jacob's charm does not work on Ashley, until they meet again. Fate gives them another chance when Ashley’s father is rushed to the hospital and Jacob saves his life. Jacob is surprised and excited to see her, but he doesn’t mix business with pleasure. Jacob and Ashley’s story is full of romance, suspense, heartfelt situations, scams, black mail, passion, determination, perseverance and true love. Jacob and Ashley’s banter is undeniable romantic and sweet, their chemistry is out of this world amazing. I love how much Jacob grows in this story and how much sees the world. This s a must-read story that will keep you wanting more. I would give it more than a five star if I could.

The rating for this book is so high that it got me incredibly excited to dive into it. Unfortunately, I found this book INCREDIBLY repetitive and unnecessarily long. The titanic conversation went on for who knows how long and I almost quit then and there. Also the FMC was annoyingly stubborn and predictable with her complaints to the point that I would increase the audiobook speed whenever she started her rants because it was almost CERTAINLY going to be about the same thing.
The amount of times the word “fuck” was used kinda got ridiculous as well to the point where it felt like it was being used in the same sense as like or a comma…and the “slang” in the book felt completely outdated. I don’t know which young adult still uses the phrase “hot piece of ass” anymore so I was confused with those choice of words being used over and OVER again. I like the story a lot and the business side of it but I just couldn’t stand the characters and the way they spoke. And because of that, I DNF’ed this book. This book is obviously highly regarded so I know I’m in the minority. So please read the book if you want.

One of the few books I rated 5 stars!

Ever since I've read the first in the series, I've been looking forward to read all. What's good about this book?
1. The love was not lost between Bree and Alex. It's a rare book wherein the conflict is not about a couple breaking up because they had a huge fight blahblahblah. It's unique. It's about battling your own demons.
2. Alex, beyond his battle scars, is a book boyfriend; and, any female would love to have a book boyfriend! Bree is quite a heroine, too. I love her love for Alex.
3. I initially placed this on shelf for about three days before actually deciding to read it because it was quite a long book. Reading it though was a good decision. The story was captivating. There may be inspirations in some other well-known books (Grey for the Chopper, Darker for the yacht, Freed for the Jet - but the series didn't have copyright for those billionaire stuff so no harm done there, and the other books in the series and other books used those too).

Breanne Stone is now the CEO of her father's company which he already set to merge with Mitchell and Sons. She is the creative mind of the company since she is in charge of the designs and architecture but doesn’t care for all of the operation/financial parts of the company. Luckily Alexander Logan Grayson is going to be the new CEO along with her but since she put off the merger it caused a financial problem which has now drained her personal bank account.

After a rather odd run in at the party to celebrate the company merge Bree and Alex notice an instant attraction to one another. Bree feels they need to keep their distance to remain professional but Alex thinks the exact opposite. As he uncovers more secrets Bree is hiding, they grow closer until his childhood past gets in the way and completely derails their romance.

I enjoyed this book but it is kind of long.. I did it as an audiobook so it wasn’t too bad but I can definitely see how people that are actually reading it might get frustrated.

A bit too dragged out and unrealistic

As usual, one of the lucky couple is an emotional mess which seems to be a theme in this series. With such poor coping skills, I am amazed that Alex made it as far as he did in life. It takes more than money to put a life back together after severe trauma, and, in some ways the author made a mockery of the courage victims must have to face the past damage and do the hard work needed to make a happier future for themselves. Certainly not something done in a six week quick fix. This view of childhood trauma and recovery detracted from the story for me. The symptoms were too drawn out and the fix over and done in a few pages. When there are so many individuals suffering from past injuries of abuse in our society, the author should consider using a less sensitive topic as the hinge pin for the story's plot or be more realistic in handling its resolution.

DEAR GOD HELP ME THIS BOOK IS LONG BUT GOOD LONG!

Bree went to a party one night and ask for help from stranger to shoo away her obnoxious ex-fiancee. The stranger introduced himself as Logan, and play along with her plot. Next she knew, he was Alexander Logan, her new partner who ripped her beloved father's company to merge with his.

From the beginning, Alex is very flirty with Bree. But Bree blinded by million problems, so she never accept his interest. Slowly but sure, the book revealed both Bree and Alex had baggage as big as Atlantic Ocean. Bree being bankrupt, and Alex had bad childhood.

In the end, Bree help Alex realized he is capable to love and love is all about Bree in his heart. Alex faced his demons, and Bree is patiently waiting for him.

This book successfully made me cry and laugh at the same time. It is well written, fill with plot twist, and the characters is lovable. Nothing shady or dodgy about them. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!

A financially strapped architecture firm mereges with another company. Bree, the woman who's been trying to keep the company a float meets Alex , a devil in a suit through this merger..They form a relationship. Alex, who's a fixer, is a man who is emotionally crippled falls in love with Bree. Alex's past rips them apart and this is where this book gets intense beyond words.

Alec is a complex character. Hes dealing with major problems that he has kept hidden. Tragedy and death bring out Alec's full force. He's emotion highs and lows are realistically dealt wlth with.

Bree's financial state is also realistically dealt with to a point. She is forced to get rid of her car and list her condo for sale.

The challenges this couple fix are intense and realistic. They're friends are supportive but darkness reigns.

Its an intense book worth the read.

All the books in the series seem to follow a pattern. Meet, instant love, fantastic sex, some ex issue resolves easily, then a trauma splits them, in the time apart there is therapy, therapy heals and they get back together with an instant proposal or wedding on spot and more often than not a pregnancy before or after wedding.

Even though all four so far have followed this pattern, every story and challenge is different and the author has obviously done her research for the topics she’s writing about. The most believable I think was this one. The best was Collin and Elena. But the whole world and friendships are well developed and loveable.

It sort of cheapens the depth of the stories by calling it billionaire club because it just goes so far beyond that, maybe only being relevant in the first book, but okay it sets the scene that the men have money. Overall a great series!
