About the author

Erin Hunter is the pseudonym of five people: Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Tui T. Sutherland, Gillian Philip, and Inbali Iserles, as well as editor Victoria Holmes. Together, they write the Warriors series as well as the Seekers and Survivors series. Erin Hunter is working on a new series now called Bravelands.

Erin Hunter is inspired by a love of cats and a fascination with the ferocity of the natural world. As well as having a great respect for nature in all its forms, Erin enjoys creating rich mythical explanations for animal behavior, shaped by her interest in astronomy and standing stones.

Really? That’s it? The book has so much potential. It could have shown the rat attack that destroyed Skyclan, the journey to the gorge, and the adapting to a new life. But no. It was stopped well short of that and I was very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong it was a fantastic book up until then going at a smooth not too fast pace, but WHY stop there?

A cute little novella. It was enjoyable and I liked the information it gave on the Skyclan. Learning about the time were there were 5 clans was interesting. I do have to admit that it was a little short, therefore I didn't really get to connect to the characters.

Wolksters Reis is een los te lezen kort verhaal van de Warrior Cats series . Al blijf ik er toch wel bij dat het handig zou zijn als je als lezer al wel eerder kennis hebt gemaakt met deze serie. 


Wolkster is de leider van de Hemelclan die al vele seizoenen lang waakt over zijn clangenoten aan de rand van het bos.  In totaal behoren er dan dus ook vijf clans in het woud te leven namelijk: de Donderclan, de Schaduwclan, de Windclan, de Rivierclan en de Hemelclan. Alle clans worden beschermd en begeleid door de Sterrenclan (hun overleden voorouders). 


Er dreigt een groot gevaar voor de Hemelclan. De tweebenen dringen steeds verder hun territorium binnen waardoor de clan het gevaar loopt verdreven te worden uit het woud. Er moet dan ook zo snel mogelijk een oplossing worden gevonden, maar gaat dit lukken? Zullen de andere clans bereid zijn Wolksters Hemelclan bij te staan en te helpen? 


In de andere boeken van de Warrior Cats series lees je bijna alleen over de andere vier clans. Niet eerder was er te lezen wat er nou precies gebeurd was met de vijfde clan (de Hemelclan), tot nu!

Dit korte verhaal mag absoluut niet ontbreken in je Warrior Cats collectie. Eindelijk leer je meer over het hoe en wat rondom de Hemelclan.


Als groot fan van de Warrior Cats series raad ik dan ook elke andere fan aan deze novelle te gaan kopen, hij is maar € 5,95 en het geld dubbel en dwars waard.  Het is echt een absolute aanvulling op je verzameling. Hij hoort er gewoon bij! Enige minpuntje dan is dat het geen volledig boek is, wat van mij zo had gemogen. Ik had graag veel meer over de Hemelclan willen lezen, maar dan alsnog is het een geweldig verhaal. En wie weet wat de toekomst ons nog brengt. Ik zeg koop 'm, zet een lekkere kop thee, pak er wat koekjes of chocolade bij, nestel je op de bank met een dekentje en je diertjes en hou voor de zekerheid de tissues bij de hand. En laat je dan meevoeren in dit heerlijke korte avontuur. 


Wolksters Reis is een must have en must read voor elke Warrior Cats fan! You will love it!😻😻😻

Tbh it was amazing but I don’t understand why only good cats are treated horribly by starclan. I can name few characters that were evil but treated better than Cloudstar, who was forced to leave his mate and kits + be banished by the four clans

Die sehr sehr traurige Hintergrundgeschichte warum der Wolkenclan vertrieben wurde. Ich bin gepsannt was für Abenteuer noch kommen werden.

I can't tell whether I liked this or not, as my judgement is clouded by my disappointment. I think I liked the story itself and the telling of why Skyclan had to leave (but we don't get anything about their journey, just the events leading up to it). Cloudstar has several of Clear Sky's (or Skystar I guess haha) traits, which was actually interesting continuity to see in his characterization. However, I hated seeing how harsh the clan cats have become towards each other, the other clans essentially banished Skyclan without any sympathy or good bye.

I was simply caught off-guard when I was reading about completely different cats, not the old Dawn of the Clans cats. I hadn't realized that that arc was completed, since there was so much that was left hanging. The establishment of the naming of cats was left out although we got some of the formation of apprenticeships, and Moth Flight split up her kits for some special Starclan purpose that never came up again. I guess more books are potentially being written to fill that gap? It's annoying though, especially because I am trying to read these in the official Warriors chronological order.

This is the Dutch version of Cloudstar's Journey. It's a mini adventure that you can read independant from the Warrior Cats series.
I enjoyed reading it and was surprised that it was about 5 clans instead of 4. I think, in the main series, there was some mentioning in one of the books about a 5th clan. Also, the events in this mini adventure reminded me of when the Thunder clan left their homes. However the setting and the reasons are a bit different.
This book was slightly darker and ended a bit sad. It's to short to have a lot of depth and to get really connected with the characters.

I thought this book would go past the exile, but it didn't, and I would've liked two know what happened after SkyClan left. Also, the rest of the book was lots of stuff I already knew from Firestar's Quest, so I can only give this two stars. I would also like a Birdflight novella to show happened to her, Gorseclaw, and Spottedpelt.

This was so heartbreaking and unfair, I couldn’t help but cry. The contrast made between that pacific past and the horrible future that is coming is absolutely cruel. I loved Cloudstar's determination and how hard he fought back when everything was crumbling, he definitely won a special spot in my heart. I hope to read more about their journey someday!

For a Warriors novella, this was good.

Cloudstar is a likable leader for Skyclan, unlike Clear Sky. The problem that the cats faced in this installment was provoking, and I understand why this novella was important to the early origins of the five clans.

This novella definitely had a slow start, but that isn’t uncommon for Warriors stories. Also, there were excellent name choices in for the cats in this story, specially: Mintpaw and Kestrelwing.

„Tułaczka Chmurnej Gwiazdy” Erin Hunter. Kolejna Nowelka z serii Wojownicy. Zdecydowanie bardziej przypadła mi do gustu niż poprzednia. Pokazuje nam trudy życia w lesie, w którym Dwunożni (czytaj ludzie) zaczynają niszczyć drzewa dla swoich korzyści. W dalszym ciągu uważam, że są to książki dla młodszego pokolenia niż ja. Jednak na chwilowe oderwanie od życia codziennego jest to nawet przyjemna i lekka pozycja. Mimo, że porusza w brew pozorom całkiem trudny temat, który z pewnością wielu by umknął przy czytaniu. No bo co może być w poważne w książeczce o kotach. A jednak. A tymczasem biorę się za kolejną książkę, a wy co dziś czytacie?

I liked this book and the inside look we get at SkyClan before they had to leave the forest. But I feel that it was far too short. I would have liked to read about the journey SkyClan took to the gorge and how they settled. I like Cloudstar and I would have liked to learn more about him. But it was a good short story.

In this original novella, we are looking in the eyes of cloudstar,leader of skyclan. But when twolegs,humans, threaten their home, cloudstar is forced to let his clan,and mate, leave while he stayed. It was sad how the other clans didn't help skyclan. But still, I like seeing in the eyes of cludstar and it was a good book

Heartbreaking. Could have been longer; around 32% of the e-book is previews of other Warriors books. Still a great story, though. In the mood to read Dawn of the Clans now! (Except that I have to wait a week, since the book is going to be an Easter present from my mom.)

You didnt' really learn much new in this one. If you have read the Firestar's Quest the Super Edition anyway. It did give you a bit of insight into SkyClan....but not as much as I'd hoped.

Imo the best story from the The Untold Stories collection, I especially sympathized for Petalfall and it's interesting to see some representation of epilepsy in the Warriors books

Warrior Cats novelle: Wolksters Reis.

Warrior Cats is een serie, geschreven voor kinderen vanaf ca 9 jaar, maar ook veel gelezen door volwassenen. Het is geschreven door Erin Hunter, een Amerikaans-Brits schrijverscollectief die ook verantwoordelijk zijn voor boekenseries als Bravelands, Seekers en Survivor Dogs.
Warrior Cats is de meest populaire serie, die bestaat uit 6 losse series van 6 boeken. In het Nederlands zijn we nu bij serie 4, maar gezien de populariteit van de serie zullen ze wel doorgaan met vertalen. In het Engels zijn er al meerdere novelles, maar in het Nederlands is Wolksters Reis de eerste novelle.
Wolksters Reis is een los te lezen mini avontuur. Leuk als eerste kennismaking, maar zeker ook een aanrader voor de fans van Warrior Cats.
Ik ben dit boek gaan lezen omdat mijn dochter van 10 verslaafd is aan Warrior Cats. Na Harry Potter dacht ik dat ze nooit wat anders meer zou willen lezen. Tot ze Warrior Cats ontdekte. Nu wilde ik zelf wel eens weten waar deze boeken over gaan.
Elk boek heeft een prachtige voorkant met een kat. Voor in elk boek staan de namen en uiterlijke beschrijvingen van de katten die je in dat boek tegen komt.
Er zijn meerdere clans in de Warrior Cats boeken. Elke clan heeft eenzelfde opbouw. Er is een leider, waarvan de naam eindigt op Ster. Een commandant, een medicijnkat, krijgers en leerlingen, moederkatten met kittens en de oudsten. Elke clan heeft zijn eigen kracht, iets waar ze bijzonder goed in zijn.
Wolksters Reis gaat over de HemelClan, waarvan Wolkster de leider is. Zij wonen met de andere kattenclans in het bos, elk in hun eigen territorium. Het leven van de hemelclan is goed, zo aan de rand van het bos. De leerlingen doen erg hun best, de krijgers hebben er plezier in hen op te leiden. Er is een nest kittens en ook Wolkster zal binnenkort vader worden. Maar dan slaat het noodlot toe….Er is steeds minder prooi en de Clan lijdt honger. Hoe kan dit, hoe kan Wolkster zijn clan helpen. Al gauw blijkt de oorzaak te liggen bij de tweebenen en hun machines te liggen, daar kan de Clan niet tegen op. Ze verliezen langzaam steeds een stukje meer van hun territorium. Dit boek omschrijft een lange figuurlijke reis met mooie, ontroerende, kwaadmakende en verdrietige momenten. Waar zal Wolksters Reis hem naar toe brengen…
Ik vond de emoties en de familiebanden mooi beschreven. Ook de onderlinge strijd tussen en binnen de clans was mooi, soms botsen meningen.
De daadwerkelijke strijd en ruzie trokken me wat minder, net als de wij tegen zij tussen de clans. Ik vind de karakters van de katten minder diepgang hebben dan bij Bravelands. Ook kijk je steeds maar vanuit één persoon, hoewel dat bij de boeken misschien anders is, omdat die dikker zijn. In Bravelands bekijk je het verhaal steeds vanuit een ander dier.
Al met al was het een mooi verhaal, maar ik ben niet geneigd de rest van de serie te lezen, zoals mijn dochter.
Mijn dochter houdt van deze boeken omdat ze over katten gaan en je leert zo kattengedrag. Zij vindt het leuk dat de leiders Ster heten en zij heet Sterre dus kan ze ook een leider zijn. Want poezen en katers zijn gelijk in de Clan en kunnen alle dingen zijn, ook leider. De strijd en het vechten vindt ze wel stoer. De boeken zijn spannend maar gaan ook over liefde en familie.
