FIRST EDITION. The author signed the book on the title page and dated it March 3, 1998. Hardcover with dust jacket. Author, Edmund B. Raftis. Great Swamp Press, Seattle, 1996, publishers. Printed in the USA. Also, we have a note to the previous owner which is also dated Matrch 3, 1998, thanking the owner for ordering the fourth book. The author noted, how he obtained the previous owner's name and address as it appeared in the 1996 Alumni Directory for Summit High School. The author signed the note and dated the note. This will go with the book to the new buyer. The spine is tight and straight, the pages are clean other than the author's signature and date under it on the title page. Total 264 pages. "This book is the first comprehensive history of Summit, beginning with the separation of the continents and ending with competing visions of Summit's future. It is a history that is anecdotal, biographical, colorful, and personal. Primarily drawn from accounts in the Summit newspapers from 1883 forward, the answers to many questions and numberous other subjects are addressed in this book and are augmented with 189 phtographs and maps (black and white pics)." The boards are clean, cloth, beige with deep orange spine with gold lettering. A really nice book with sharp corners. An excellent collectible book that you will surely want to add to your personal collection, read or donate to your favoirite charity. Excellent!! *5BC1
