I love the merry, uplifting tone of this Advent devotional by Candace Cameron Bure. It's unique that it includes a devotion, a short story, journaling space and inspirational ideas. The photos and layout are beautiful. It's a great addition to my collection of Advent devotionals that I'll return to year after year.
I enjoyed having a devotional specifically focused on Christmas. With my kids away for the holiday, it was nice being able to stay in the spirit I enjoy so much.
This book was just what I needed for a season that can help you feel lost in commercialism. It continuously brings the reader back to the reason for the season. It also helped offer many comforting messages about how to deal with loneliness and inadequacies that an individual might deal with during the holiday season.
I loved this easy read that both encourages & challenges you at Christmas. I got this as a gift & am so glad I did! Little stories, insights, scripture, & thought provoking questions/activities to put you in the right mindset for the holidays. If you want to focus on Christ for the season, this little book will point you in the right direction-- it's a great way to start each day in December!
This is a really fun Advent book. It has a mix of classic stories, journaling prompts, and encouraging devotions. Keeping Jesus at the center of each entry, the reader can reflect and embrace the amazing gift that Christmas brought to us. This is an Advent book that I will turn to again and again.
This is one of the best devotionals I’ve ever read and the only Advent one I’ve ever read. I love how there’s thought -provoking questions, devotions, scripture, songs, poems, and stories. I looked forward to reading it each day, and that means a lot!
This was a different type of advent but I enjoyed it. She had a different outlook for many of the days. I didn't do everything she had but it definitely made me think. I was also glad that her story for the day was not usually one I had read before.
Beautiful book with a daily devotional message from Candace, a traditional Christmas Story, a poem or lyrics to a hymn, and finally thought provoking activity pages which inspire you to consider the lesson and their significance in your life. This is a book I will reread every Advent Season….
a fun way 2 get in the christmas spirit and check in every day. the christmas stories were a fun addition that helped me unwind every evening. slap candace camerons name on a book and im reading it though
This devotional was so fun to do during the busy Christmas season. It reminded me to slow down and make time for Jesus. It also helped me realign my heart with Jesus and focus on HIM and less about buying presents or worrying about everyone else and everything else that does not really matter.
This was great. So well thought out and beautifully out together. Candace makes great devotionals. I will probably read this again. The only thing I wish it had was numbers for what day you were on.
Love this Christmas Devotional. I started reading this in 2021 and continue to every year. It brings joy, calmness and thoughtfulness to the season. Each year I update items that have changed.
This was a delightful read and will now be a tradition I read every Christmas season I look forward to seeing how each year answers and thoughts may change.
I really enjoyed this Christmas book! There were 25 days of devotions and each included a two page devotional, a one-two page Christmas story, and a journaling type exercise. I loved the devotions, but I would have been fine without the extras that were included. I didn't read many of the little stories or do many of the exercises. I felt like the book was worth it just for the devotions. I plan to read it again next year and I highly recommend it.
