Saving Gideon : Chasing Hope: The Angel Chronicles

Rate this book
Chasing hope... that certainly seems to be what Sabrina, and the rest of the family, find themselves doing as their entire world collapses around them. First, Devon allows 16 year old Luke, to go to Cuba on a missions trip, very much against Sabrina's wishes. Only to have him disappear days after arriving. Then Catherine, Sabrina's mother, informs them that the cancer treatments didn't work and they need to accept her decision not to try anymore. Things are not going well at the estate either, as one thing after another goes wrong as Charlie tries to open the new medical wing. Gideon finds himself in uncharted territory once again. As everything seems to be falling apart in the lives of the family he has vowed to protect, he discovers that he still longs for the thrill of battle. As Zereck and Shana head off to Cuba with Devon and Nate to look for Luke, Gideon is torn with wanting to go with them, but he is tied to Charlie's side. Will he ever fully be able to embrace being a guardian or will the call to battle forever be the song of his heart?

Excellent story

The family has gone through much! Charlie and Mate have had some tough moments while in California. They made some fantastic new friends. Devon and Sabrina are going through a rough spot when she learns that he gave Luke permission to go to Cuba. DJ didn't even know he had gone. But then, a phone call puts everyone on notice.

Catherine is dying of cancer and has maybe six months to live. The family is devastated but quickly realized that Catherine will be free of pain and in her heavenly body. I love this story and all of the characters. It has brought me back to the beliefs I had.

I can't wait to read the next book.

Excellent series

This book never cease to keep me engaged of the wonders of my Living God and the presence of the spiritual warfare battle all around us. The word in 2 Kings 6:16 fear not ... for those who are with us are more then those who are with them. Elisha prayed for his servant eyes to be open. These books gives us a glimpse into the fight around us . I look forward to the next book.
