Young Ethan does things every day that show he doesn't know how they may be causing harm to the Earth, like wasting water in the bathroom and drinking with straws. His friend John teaches him how he can save more of the Earth's resources by taking quick showers instead of baths, avoiding plastics and paper waste, and recycling. Ethan then tells his parents that by being more careful, everyone can help save the Earth-one straw at a time. It's a great picture book to remind readers of the lasting impression our daily choices can have on earth.
