Sometimes a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do… even if that involves big girl panties and a very sexy dragon-man.

A bounty hunter with her eyes on the prize, Jenna's to-do list includes making crazy amounts of money, ice-cream and retail therapy when she's not working. It does not include sabotage by space rat, or any kind of black hole. It most certainly doesn't include crash landing on a planet in the back end of beyond where everything is out to eat her....

But, she's a big girl. She can deal. What she didn't count on was him…

Left for dead on a backwater planet, he's given up on rescue.

All he has left is prayers to the gods who have forsaken him. He doesn't expect the answer to those prayers to be a tiny, soft alien with curves that make his mouth water…

Former favourite of a dead tyrant, Ranaar has been left out to die on a planet so far from the space lanes he might as well be on the edge of the universe. The planet is hostile, everything on it, including the plant-life, predatory. So he fits right in.

When a ship crashes on his planet, he's not prepared to meet his first human. He's definitely not prepared for the reaction she invokes in him. When his past arrives to threaten the life of his soft little human, he is prepared to kill to get her back…

Mina Carter and J Thompson, I floved this book so much. It was everything that I hoped it would be. Especially with a title and cover like that. Will you two be doing another book together, hopefully in this series? Hint, hint. I normally like to wait until the end of my review for my "subtle like a Mack truck" comments, but....I'm not very patient either, so there is that too.

What are the odds that she would crash into one of the most dangerous planets, only to have one of the fiercest, hot as sin dragon shifters on it. As soon as she landed he was on his way to save her. I mean seriously, sign me up. This book had the same great humor that I love from a Mina Carter book, she and J Thompson were so funny....the whole comment about licking it....I laughed so hard. “Hell, she was close to licking it. But everyone knew what happened when you licked things and she couldn’t afford to keep this one.”

This was a safe read, no om or ow drama. Really good storyline, great writing and funny af. These two also had great chemistry. They are attracted to each other right from the start. He is really a guys guy, all manly alpha dragon shifter and she was just so dang funny. She tries to be tough, but she's not so tough without her big and strong protector. These two are separated for a hot second, but obviously that doesn't last. Baby batter, epilogue and an hea.

But seriously though.....another book?????

It’s getting hot in here

No really! But what do you expect when the characters crash land on a raging inferno planet, and the steam between these two is off the charts. These might be some of my favorite characters. They are misunderstood in their own worlds, but together they find that perfect harmony. The author kept the action high with the dangers of the planet and the bad guys, making it impossible to stop reading until the HEA. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what these ladies come up with next.

It wasn’t bad, but I was kinda confused as to what Raanar looked like. I had the impression at first that he had a tail, but it’s only mentioned once and never again, as well as him being green, but apparently that was in his dragon form (I think, I’m really not sure). I don't have a very good idea of what Jenna looks like. At times I had the impression she was a person of color, but at others, it seemed like she was white. So I ended up ignoring any vague mention of their appearances, which was super easy, considering there weren’t many, and imagining them however I pleased. I get it, this was a short novella, but c’mon, it wouldn’t have taken more than two or three sentences to describe them a little. And he just leaves her, changes his mind, returns for her, and acts like it was her who left him, so he never apologizes or grovels at all. Not cool.

Was I too distracted with real-life or was the story just not that interesting? I had to play many parts over, even to the point of a restart. I do remember a couple of humourous lines and I know there was sex but I can't remember if it was hot. I dislike that my personal distraction results in a two-star rating so just in case - three stars.

So good, so right.

Ragnar was abandoned on a dangerous planet but was able to cope with his shifter self. Jenna has to crash land and is immediately rescued by a fierce warrior who found her fascinating. I loved both these characters, and the suspenseful plot was good, too. But the ending seemed too easy. Great HEA, and I will read more. 😉

Such a cute story of a bounty hunter who crash lands on a planet where a dragon shifter has been exiled. They try to escape other aliens who are looking for him and then when they are separated, Raanar comes to find Jenna and they live happily ever after...

I didn’t mind the characters but the world being built here is too distopian for my tastes.

This was a cute quick read. I enjoyed it, but would have liked it to continue where it ended since circumstances changed and seeing their lives from that point on would have been nice.

Jenna is a bounty hunter whose ship gets sucked into a black hole and she crash lands on a dangerous planet where even the plants are trying to eat her. Raanar is a Draakon alien warrior. His planet's queen favored him, but he resisted her advances, as the males she bedded ended up empty and traumatized. After she died, the new queen distrusted his loyalty and stranded him on the dangerous planet inhabited only by predators. He spots Jenna's aircraft crashing and rescues her.

I liked the dangerous planet they were on because it was unique- carnivorous plants with T-rex teeth, gigantic snakes, and a very unforgiving atmosphere- with boiling hot days and freezing nights. Raanar is skilled enough and has enough natural defenses (hard scales, claws, etc.) to survive such a place; Jenna does not. Though I would have liked them to have more time there together and maybe we could see her adapt a little and not be completely helpless.

Jenna has a big personality. She talks a lot and her thoughts can go all over the place, so she feels like a high energy, fast talking person. There were times she had me laughing out loud, and others that I just found her annoying. Raanar was the typical sexy alien, powerful, protective, and caring, and very patient with her. I don't know how she attracted him at first, but the more time they spent together, the more well suited to each other they became. And although Jenna thought he was sexy and wanted to lick him pretty much as soon as they met (in her mind she fantasized about licking him several times- enough that I found it weird that when they have their intimate scene and she finally has the opportunity to lick him, she doesn't lol), the relationship between them felt natural and not forced or rushed.

I think the book could have benefited by being a little longer and fleshing out the backstory. For example, early on we learn Raanar was banished because his favor from the old, cruel queen caused distrust from the new one. If the first queen was ancient and powerful, how did she die? Was it natural, or was she killed and overthrown? Were their political factions in play? Is the new queen and her rule any different from the old? And if so, wouldn't the treatment and condition of the previous queen's males/lovers be proof enough that they wouldn't have been loyal to her and thus no threat to the new queen? If Raanar was intentionally shot down to the planet, and his ship purposely damaged so he would be stuck there unable to escape, why all of a sudden did hunters come back to kill him? Raanar says, “Your ship crashing must have tripped some alarm and reminded them that I’m down here.” How could they forget when they purposely left him alive in the first place? And if they did now want him dead for whatever reason, what's to keep more of them from hunting him down after the HEA ending?

Overall, I did enjoy this story. I think it could be expanded, but still a pleasant read. I recommend it. 4 stars

I couldn't put it down once I started reading it! I loved every part of this story, the characters, Jenna and Renaar were equally fun to get to know. Jenna was an independent, whole person before she met Renaar. Renaar wasn't looking for something to complete him. The freaking man-eating plants were wonderfully aggressive and the whole setting of the book just made me glad that I would never get to visit this place. This also wasn't one of those, "Oh, we just met, we have to bump uglies right this minute" or "I'm the man so you have to do what I say and love it when I punish you" kind of books. Don't get me wrong, those are good to read too, I just love the ones that make sense more. I enjoyed how Jenna kept spouting witticisms that went over Renaar's head but she still kept them coming. She knew she couldn't survive on her own in this harsh world, so hanging out with the hottie wasn't exactly a chore and she wasn't constantly trying to find an out. Just when I thought they'd moved on separately, the ending was as awesome as I could have wanted to read. Mina Carter never lets me down, and although I was not sure about the addition of J. Thompson, but I shouldn't have worried. I read this right through, it was fun to read and I wish there might be more like this in the future. I'm now looking at the other books written by J. Thompson to see if the magic can be repeated.

I loved reading this book, it’s very well written and the characters are brilliant. There’s a bit of action, some steamy scenes but Jenna and Raanar are fated mates and they get their happily ever after.
Jenna is a bounty hunter, she’s hunting her mark when a wormhole pops up out of nowhere and spits her out somewhere she doesn’t recognise. When she finds a planet she plans on landing and getting repairs done to her ship. That might have happened if she hadn’t landed in a grove of carnivorous plants. Luckily Raanar saw her ship landing and got to her rescue just in time. He throws her over his shoulder, which he does a lot, and takes her back to his cave. The chemistry between them is off the charts and Raanar recognising his mate does everything he can to provide and protect her. So when hunters attack and try to kill them Raanar has to change into his draakon form which is a little terrifying for Jenna. They manage to get off the planet and Raanar drops her off on a trading station and then leaves her. And three weeks later that’s where the bounty hunters find her. Raanar finds out and is furious, he goes after his mate and saves her and gets an added surprise too.

This book was action packed from the word go. Jenna is having a bad day. She is a bounty hunter who gets accidentally sucked into a black hole in the middle of unknown space. She finds a planet nearby to land on and everything on the planet is designed to kill; from the plants, double suns, and snakes the size of rhinos!

Fortunately for her the biggest predator on the planet saves her. Raanar is a dragon man, a Draakon warrior.

These two have immediate chemistry and you have to love his protectiveness. She wants to be independent, but everything around her puts her life in danger without him. I like the switch back and forth between character perspectives, as you get better insight into their thoughts and feelings.

I am not sure if the authors are planning a series from this storyline, but I certainly hope so! This was a easy, very enjoyable read with no cheating, no cliffhangers, and a HEA. Highly recommend.

Add a stranded Exiled Dragon shifter to a crash-landed Bounty HUnter from Earth. What is the result? Hot, steamy, passionate romp through the stars!

Jenna may be a sassy but all to fragile human but she takes stubborn to another level. She refuses to allow Ranaar to sideline her or make her contribution less valuable than his. She will bend to him in his knowledge of the planet but that's as far as it goes.

Ranaar had evaded his former queen's clutches but he was tarred with the same brush and dumped on this planet where just about everything wants to kill him. Now he has a human female mucking up his perfectly ordered existence.

Perfectly paced romp. Plenty of action and a tense plot. Characters are sexy with a side of adorable!

Jenna is a bounty hunter and things just went belly up because of a stupid black hole and one dead rodent. She has just crashed onto an alien planet who knows where with the planet now trying to eat her. Ranaar a dragon shifter has been left stranded on this planet by his new Queen for quite some time and now a strange ship has crashed right into a grove of man eating plants. He decides to go search for the ship to gather parts and ends up rescuing Jenna. Ranaar must try to keep them both alive on this inhospitably planet with plants and animals trying to eat them and to top it off bounty hunters because of the price on his head. Really enjoyed this story. Great short, entertaining read.

Well, what do i say about this one? A short story with a plot thinner and weaker than anything else I've ever read. The least amount of world building possible. No real story or character development. No amount of suspension of disbelief can save this one. Honestly, the sparse storytelling at the beginning and end were obviously a convenient vehicle for the repeated descriptions of a scaled phallus in the middle, and that scene wasn't even worth the bad grammar and inappropriate use of the word "too." Thank goodness it only took 30 minutes of my time.

This was a quick good read. Jenna is a bounty hunter in space and ends up going into a black hole in space and comes out the other end she knows not where and then crashes on a distant planet where she also finds out that everything on that planet is not good and even the plants are meat eaters! She meets up with Raanar, who had been banished from his home planet and left on the same planet Jenna is on only his spaceship is also wrecked. He ends up being her protector until someone comes looking for Raanar to finish him off. Some suspense, and lots of passion. Recommend.

Sexy huge alien.

"Sexy huge alien. Three simple words that said it all."

Dragon Men do it Better by Mina Carter and J Thompson have created a sexy steamy hot alien SciFi Romance. Jenna is a wisecracking bounty hunter and a great main character. I just adored her attitude. Brilliant writing holds the readers interest and keeps the story moving at exactly the right pace. Perfect for people who enjoy steamy hot SciFi Romance with sass, dragons and no fading to black.

Sweet and funny

This was such a sweet and funny story. You have Jenna who is a human bounty hunter who is lost after being accidentally going through a black hole and ends up crash landing on the planet where Raanar has been abandoned. Jenna is funny and smart mouthed while Raanar is protective and caring. They have an instant attraction. There is romance and there are some exciting moments too. I enjoyed reading this book.

Jenna is the star of this book. Jesus Christ on a cracker!! I loved everything about her - her plucky but pragmatic attitude and her colorful language had me in stitches. Raanar is huge, grumpy and irresistible to Jenna. The interplay between these two kept me hooked all the way to the end. Maybe getting stranded on an alien planet where everything wants to eat you isn't that bad. Bonus scene please!

I really enjoyed this short but steamy (romance and weather - LOL) read when Jenna crash lands on a dangerous planet where Raanar has been exiled. Jenna is human and Raanar is Draakon. Love Jenna's wayward thoughts about Raanar. Their attraction to each other is off the charts. Unfortunately they are separated after aliens from Raanar's past attempt to kill him but he saves the day at the end. Definitely worth reading.

Raanar

This was a quick read, and one I enjoyed. It is about an exiled alien who meets his first human when she crashes onto his planet prison. He rescues her from the crash, the carnivorous forest, the weather, the giant snakes - in short, he keeps her alive and they fall in love. Then they’re invaded, and the adventure continues until they reach their HEA. I thought the hero was sweet, and the heroine was funny and strong, making this a fun story!

Ranaar did it better

Read this one in one sitting and I loved it. It's been a while since I've read the alien/human insta-love trope and actually enjoyed it.
I loved the humor, the action and Jenna's inner thoughts! I wish it had been longer and we'd delved into Jenna and Ranaar's relationship a bit more but, for a quick read this one was great.

I don't know about other Dragon men but Ranaar is ✨✨✨. I swear to god he is just so... lickable!!This story will just make you wish you were Jenna... lick him. I really liked the dual pov of this story. I have to disagree with Jenna. No girl in her sound mind would be a perv if presented with a Ranaar type guy.

Although a fairly short story, it packs quite a punch from start to finish. The story features a human, Jenna and a dragonman, Raanar. They are the only two beings on a planet that has flesh eating plants!! An interesting story that moves quickly with a lot of action. Enjoyed it.
