Inamorata #2

The Fiera Ruins

Rate this book
They expect me to choose between my inamorata, and my duty to my people.

Born a Lumea princess, not only was I taught to rule with grace and kindness, but also to front an elite army for a war that began more than four hundred years before my existence.

When the time came, I fearlessly led my soldiers into battle, but when we emerged on the other side of the deadly forest, I realised not all was as I’d been told.

Not only wasn’t Malachai Noble my enemy, but destiny has placed us together and declared us inamorata.

Mated.

Together, we’re prepared to bring peace upon our world and rule with love and honor. But there are some who would prefer our silence, and they’ll stop at nothing to bury the truth.

Staying alive has become a full time job for this incoming queen, and Roman DeLuca’s declarations that I’m better off dead, than to choose wrong, means our enemies may be closer than I’m ready to admit.

Inamorata is absolute

This second installment in this series was sort of like watching trashy reality TV and I absolutely ate it up. There were secrets, lies, revealing of truths, reuniting with friends, heartbreak, scandal, anger, drama and political intrigue but also love, loyalty, and new beginnings. I loved getting to know all of these characters (main and supporting) better and watching relationships grow, develop and change. Tully and Kai were both a little pig headed at times and I got frustrated with them a time or two but I love their love and inamorata bond. There wasn’t much that I didn’t like about this one. It could be slightly predictable at times but that’s to be expected with this genre. The world building wasn’t really expanded in this installment either and what we do have is kind of a weird mash up of urban fantasy and high fantasy. These were only minor issues to me though. Overall, I really liked this installment and I can’t wait to see how the revelations play out in the final book. Two books in and I’d still recommend this series to romantasy lovers.

the adventure continues…

““Every single night, I dream of you, Tallulah. You sleep in my arms, your body tangled with mine, your breath touching my skin, and still, our waking hours aren’t enough.”

Destined by fate to be together, previously sworn enemies Tully and Kai begin the next steps to repairing the divided Kingdom of Lumea, returning the body of the former Queen and gearing up for a showdown with her advisors. Emilia Finn has such a way with storytelling, always managing to take her books in directions no one sees coming. This story has action, romance, adventure, intrigue, and betrayal and was captivating from start to finish.

This is the second book in the Inamorata trilogy and should be read as such. It ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, so be prepared to wait for the next book to complete the story. You won’t be disappointed!

>Book Review - The Fiera Ruins

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Inamorata series and ends in a cliffhanger. Tully and Kai reveal their inamorata status to both his and her people. Threats abound and secrets are revealed, shocking Tully. This book is extremely romantic with the fairy wedding of Tully and Kai. They both try to combine their people in peace, while revealing the truth of the past.

>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. I love the mystery of who is against Tully and the threats against her. Rome is still front and center in the story, but still angry.

If the story took place in another setting I think it would fit better. The challenges and opposition faced by Tully and Kai could be written placed anywhere in the fantasy world created here there is too much disconnect from fantasy to reality. They are n love and mated for life, Rome needs to get over it and accept the truth. I figured that she was pregnant when she wasn’t healing properly. I’m sure this is the decision that they won’t agree upon. Be there for each other and have another child. One that won’t sacrifice a persons life.

OMG!! I love this series!!

Wow!! I don’t know how to process how I’m feeling, because I can’t spoil anything! This book has so many twists and turns, amazing characters, phenomenal world building and visualization! I wanted to wait to read it, because I knew there would be a cliffhanger, but I just couldn’t wait!! It’s so good, so emotional, so hot, so romantic, so suspenseful, so everything! I cannot wait for the next book, because that ending…😳🤯💔

I love how you can be sucked in with the 1st paragraph and not want to be put down until you or done.
I love Tully and Kai! You can feel the love you can feel the weight of every decision they make some are easy but others take selflessness and courage. I love how Tully teaches him about magic and how to use it as a strength besides his combat.

5 stars for this amazing book!

Why does Romans eyes keep changing to blue in this book? Could he be the lost son?

Another amazing story!!!

You did it again, Emilia! First and foremost a wonderful love story with a badass heroine, but add in lies, war, sabotage, intrigue and drama and I just can’t get enough!!! That cliffhanger has me aching and I really don’t want to wait but I literally have no choice. I’m so ready for the final installment of this amazing story! And may I suggest that Enzo gets his own story in the future?!? He is awesome!

Inamorata Continues

This is the second book in the Inamorata trilogy. Both lands learn of Tully and Kai’s pairing, and the reactions aren’t what you might expect from those closest to them. We find out if their love is truly accepted and who truly wants peace and who wants to continue a war that should have never started. Emilia writes another 5 stars in her new world, showing her depth as an author.

4.5 ⭐️

I love Kai and Tully’s relationship, their love. I hate love triangles, but this isn’t like most other ones. I can get behind ones like this. She doesn’t waver between the two. She is solidly Kai’s. Rome pisses me off. He loved her so much, and is willing to throw it all away, because she doesn’t feel the same. If he can’t be around her without her being his, then he needs to remove himself. Otherwise, be her friend and her guard, like you have her entire life.

Fantastic!!

Love Emilias style of writing! I haven't found a book of hers that I haven't absolutely fallen in love with. The men in her books love so hard, and her heroins are such strong badasses. The Fiera Princess does not disappoint. She is strong and independent! I love everything about this series so far!

First book wrasn't amazing but had enough going for it I kept reading and then the cliff hanger convinced me to keep going to find out what happened.

Second book was disappointing. So repetitive, constantly going on and on about Kai's insecurities. Again finishes with a cliff hanger but I have no interest reading the next book.

Aaaahhh

I don’t know if I have the words for the raw emotion Emilia Finn bleeds into her book and out of her readers. It’s so easy to become invested in Tully, Kai, and Roman, as well as the others. Every book that ends I am left begging for another page more- hoping, praying, determined to read and live through an outcome They deserve! Emilia, your books are magic!

I need to read the next book, but that ending was wrong

While I need to read the next book and love the story….the last page was wrong and depending on how things go in the beginning of the next book I will revise my rating up or not.

That being said I have already preordered the next book and will read it.

Gasp!

Holy effing hell! As always I was gripped from the very start. The plots, the twists, the turns lead you on an emotional rollercoaster. You can feel the love Tully and Kai have for each other, along with every other emotion they portray. I think you've finally broke me Emilia, what an ending!

Home run!

Wow on so many levels! There’s a mix of love and magic, suspense and intrigue, and a heavy dose of disbelief as you continue this journey with Kai, Tully and Rome. Drawn in and strung together so well, you can’t put it down! Absolutely love the snark and banter between Tully, Kai and Ari. Another fabulous book from a master of words!

I love this series so much! For Emilia's first foray into fantasy from contemporary she is hitting it out of the park, first with The Fiera Princess and now with The Fiera Ruins. There are so many twists and turns, heartbreak and love. I can't wait for the next book in the series to come out!

wonderful!!!

I sat at the edge of my seat! I am an avid fan of both fiction and Emilia Finn so I was not surprised at all by the love I have found in this book! Roman is my one heartstring that irks me slightly but even he has his part and I am very grateful for it!

This book was a great continuation of the first story. It further adds plot points and twists to this world and roller coaster. This is packed with back and forth alliance shifts. It is a little hard to reconcile that all these things could happen so quickly but very good story!
