6/21/2021 Review:
Will never understand people rating 1’s for books that haven’t come out yet — let alone been read, just for the sake of negativity.

Here’s the 5 star to combat that. I adore this series and can’t wait to read Until April. Will write a full review after it is released :)

11/04/2021 Updated *post read* review:
I truly love ARR, she is by far one of my favorite authors and I always look forward to this series.

April was always a character that I was looking forward to (along with her sisters) because of how she was described in previous books, and I really enjoyed how that was linked together with this one. This book was probably more fast paced, meaning there was not a “will we, won’t we”, but it worked with her and Maxim, especially with their backstory.

The possessive alpha males are always *chefs kiss* by ARR. Even though they are all this way, you just know that they are written by a woman (if you are not obsessed with TikTok like I am, you may not get the reference, but just know that this is a really good thing and every woman wants a man that’s “written by a woman”; it is essentially a man that is respectful, kind, and secure with their masculinity). I don’t know, the “you are only mine” really does it for me, but so does the consideration that’s always shown by the hero for the heroine.

LOVED the concept of connecting Underground Kings, which is also a series that I am obsessed with. Absolutely no complaints here, this book is probably going to be added to my Rereads list. If you enjoy HEA, possessive men that also make your heart melt a little, and like any of this authors previous books, you’ll also enjoy this one :)

I love Aurora Reynolds ‘Until’ series and the insta-love formula really works for me. This one was good, and I loved that it was April’s story, but honestly the suspense plot was kinda like what? I honestly felt like their was too much going on for such a short book.

Sad to say I wasn't blown away by this one. I even found myself skimming some pages. I know ARR is all about the boom and even though I am not a instalove fan.. I have always made exceptions for the Until series.

This time though, it was even a bit too fast for me. I just didn't feel the attraction between these two. They fuck on the first day they reconnect (kissed once when they were 16 but didn't really know each other) and it is all on from that moment on.

No build up, no nothing. So.. I had a hard time believing they were actually in love. There wasn't much talking either...

There was a famous ex boyfriend, but he wasn't that important to their relationship.

Maybe I am too spoiled by all the other books in this series that I did love... Can't like them all the same... It happens.

It's a sweet story.
But there is no build up to the Hero and heroine getting together.
By chapter 2 they have had sex and he's in her bed.
Over the next few days she thinks or worries he might meet someone else etc but seeming as they fell into bed so quickly and didn't really talk then this is a concern in real life but in the ARR world they've just not had the talk.

They met as teens, he was her first kiss, I felt if it had been made out that there was more of a connection then it would have been easier to accept they get together so quickly.
He makes a vague comment that she was only 16 then and he's no longer a kid either but if it had been developed more it could have worked.
He is jealous, possessive.
He makes a key for her house so he can let himself in, in any other story than ARR this would be creepy but accepting the premise of this series for what it is, the reader can just go with it.
There is an ex of the heroine on the scene but they only have one chat, she doesn't even consider a second chance.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
HEA.
Epilogue.
Dual POV though at first it's mainly the heroine for a good few chapters.
Secondary characters introduced and reappearances from previous characters in the author's series, including Underground Kings.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This couple was awesome. April is a very strong heroine but didn't come off as too strong. Sometimes the strong heroines won't let a man do anything for them and that's not what you get with April. She just knows what she wants and isn't a push over. I think she handled Maxim great. Even when she wasn't so sure of their relationship, I liked how she handled it all.

Maxim was just plain hot. I'm a sucker for those intense bad boys who are also gentlemen. That's Maxim. He was a bit secretive but not to a point that you wondered if he wasn't all in. I always felt he was completely into April.

This is probably one of my top favorites in the series. I also listened to the audiobook and the narrators were awesome. I highly recommend the audiobook.

5 Gazillion 'You... Feel Like Home' Stars

Phe...Nom...E...Nal!!!! That's right, Until April is simply PHENOMENAL! Boy, oh boy, I imagined I would love these two, given how much I loved their parents's love stories, but Ms. Reynolds went for the stars with Maxim and April's! The passion, the magnetism and their CHEMISTRY, wow, it was palpable from the very first look!
It's been so very long I felt every heart thumping moment of anticipation like I did here, that very first meeting was GLORIOUS and as sizzling as it gets!!! THIS IS WHAT A TRUE LOVE STORY IS!
Pure, realistic, passionate, heart touching and so very ROMANTIC, this new Mayson tale checked all my romance lover's heart's boxes! One of my fav books EVER! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Until April is a great addition to the series and I absolutely enjoyed it ! The story of Maxim and April kept me enthusiastically reading and made me feel good. And I loved seeing familiar members of the Mayson family again because it's like reuniting with old dear friends. The icing on the cake, the hero of the book is none other than the son of Myla and Kai from the Underground Kings series. 💗

I enjoyed this story but I can't say it wowed me. The insta-love was on brand for ARR but some things felt a little too rushed and as if things were being skipped over to move along to the end. Which honestly the ending reminded me a lot of Until Ashlyn and I can't say that's a good thing.

Ashlyn's book to this day still annoys me when I think about it because the ending felt like I had chapters missing from my book. And I had a similar feeling here. Suspense thrown in with little to no detail and it ended up being nothing more than confusing. It was a weak storyline to throw in when there was already ex-drama that was taking up page time and then ending it in such a rushed way had me hating it even more.

Overall, I'm a fan of ARR for a reason and most of her books are a win for me but this one wasn't a favorite and probably won't be one that I re-read like I do the others.

I sat down at 10pm to start this book, with the expectation of reading for one hour. It’s 2am and I just finished it. It was absolutely perfect and I could not put it down! Until April is exactly what I wanted and needed and wanted at the moment.

If you’ve been around from the beginning of this series, you’re gonna absolutely love this book! I was over the moon excited for the Underground Kings connection and it did not disappoint! This book is classic ARR, but she definitely ramped up the Alpha sexy vibes in in our hero. Maxim is pure deliciousness! And I was here for it. Swoon!

Highly recommended!

4.5 stars One of these days I'm going to stop being surprised that every time I open an ARR book, the whole world disappears until the book is done. Apparently today isn't that day because when I opened this book I barely came up for air until I was finished. The connection between Maxim and April, the suspense, the loving family and the hilarious side characters, how could I possibly look away?? Maxim was Alpha as heck, almost to the extreme, April was a fantastic heroine and I wouldn't say no if Malo happened to reappear somewhere else...this was fantastic and if you've ever read an ARR book before you know what to expect. She writes magic and this was no different. I received an early copy of this to review and all my opinions are my own.

Alright, well, I probably would've rated this higher if there had been ANY sort of buildup before our couple got together, lol! There was not. It was all smoldering eyes and "wanna get out of here?" and then a few pages after meeting... that was it. Together. I'm not joking, it was really that quick. Perhaps if their initial encounter had lasted any longer, I would've been cool with it, but basically our hero thinks his new real estate agent is hot, and now she's his - doesn't really matter if she's interested or not. Now, this isn't my first read from ARR, so I was definitely expecting an over the top alpha. And I actually liked Maxim, whenever he decided to speak. There's something pretty sexy about a man who is so smitten, but when he refuses to leave and makes himself a key to your home (without your knowledge)... there's a line. Troublesome alphas aside, this reads very quickly and is filled with drama and steam, so it's easy to devour in one sitting.

The story follows April, a real estate agent whose new client is the man she crushed on in high school. April and Maxim shared one kiss back in the day, and now he's returned with a bang. One look at April has Maxim smitten, and it's not long before they're burning up the sheets. But Maxim burrows into April's life, and he seems pretty content to stay there. Drama with April's ex and a killer on the loose send Maxim's protective instincts into overdrive, and he'll do whatever it takes to keep April safe.

On paper, there's a lot about this book that worked for me - I do like a protective alpha, and a devoted, loyal one is always great to see. The suspense keeps this moving at a fast page, and there is certainly never a dull moment. Plus, this is steamy throughout, starting off with a bang and staying lusty after that. Did there need to be ex drama AND a killer? Probably not, but it kept things interesting. My only major problem with this is the complete and total lack of a buildup to the relationship. If you think about it, Maxim (a strip club owner) assuming that his new real estate agent will sleep with him within minutes of meeting is kinda skeevy. Having him move in the same day, make himself a key, and decide they're in a relationship is not much better. But parts of that worked, and if you like an over the top alpha, then he's actually a sweet one. I just needed more of a connection at the beginning for me to be okay with it. Overall, not a bad read, but not a total win either. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy romance.

THESE UNTIL SERIES FROM THE AUTHOR IS A MUST READ AND I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH🥺🥺 I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE MAYSON FAMILY💕💕

ITS A SAFE ROMANTIC LOVE STORY!!! ALL OF THEM

THIS AUTHOR REALLY MAKES A GREAT ROMANCE AND KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE STORY SO FUN TO READ AND EVEN FOR ME I GOT SO CURIOUS THAT I WANT TO READ MORE 😁😁😁

‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS

‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING

‼️‼️‼️NO PUSHING AWAY

‼️‼️‼️NO SEPARATION

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE. NOT OTT. BUT POSSESSIVE for sure. He even got so protective towards the heroine even after just few nights of seeing her and being with her. Idk why but thats just so romantic lol.

‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A REALTOR AND A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. SHE IS SMART AND KNOWS HER WORTH😍😍😍 This heroine is a cool chick🤪

‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES😚😚😚
They wore protection and afterwards they got tested and are clean.

‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Killing, violence, stalking, bullying, death and gun point.

‼️‼️‼️OF COURSE WE GET TO SEE THE HEROINE’S PARENTS HERE AND OTHERS OF HER SISTER. I WANT TO SEE MORE OF THE MAYSON FAMILY BUT HOPEFULLY IN THE NEXT BOOK🙏🏼🥺

‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW. ONLY WITH OM BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING… OTHER DRAMA IS ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE THAT UNFORTUNATELY THE HEROINE GOT DRAGGED INTO BUT SHE SURVIVED!

‼️‼️‼️MANY JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO AND LITTLE FROM THE HEROINE…

“SO BE PISSED I DIDN’T WANT ANYONE TO SEE YOU LOOKING SO FCKING GORGEOUS THAT YOU TOOK MY BREATH AWAY THE MOMENT YOU ENTERED MY OFFICE.”

‼️‼️‼️IDK HOW OLD THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T SAY THOUGH…

‼️‼️‼️NOT LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT.

‼️‼️‼️THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE SOOOO BADLY… HE DOESN’T SAY IT MUCH BUT HE SOMETIMES SAY TO THE HEROINE YOU ARE MINE.

‼️‼️‼️I love how this author really writes her stories and how she added the romantic, fun, emotional scenes from the couple that made their chemistry and relationship more fun for me to read. Because some other authors only focused the story more on the drama and not the other parts that for me is important to read for readers like me to see that the characters are very much in love and thats how they’re in the relationship… In this book and pretty much the other books from this author writes how the couple goes to shopping together and even though thats simple but for me that just so fun to read. We get to see more of their romance and how they spend their day as a loving couple🥺🥺🥺 even the little fights, we get to read that and thats just funny to read… if you know what i mean…

‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING… Married and have a adorable beautiful daughter 🥺🥺🥺

FOR NEW READERS WHO NEVER READ THE SERIES PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO IF YOU ARE ALREADY CURIOUS ABOUT THE MAYSON FAMILY AND MY REVIEW… ITS A FUN STORY TO READ😍😍😍 I HOPE YOU ENJOY AS MUCH AS I DO❤️❤️❤️

🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️

So this is one of the better books I've read from ARR lately. Huzzah! I was pretty excited that I was enjoying the book so much. The MCs basically move in together from the get go. They're meeting each other's families (again) although they both are saying it's just fling. Maxim is delightfully JP.
This book felt like old school ARR. And I'm here for it, all day long. 4½ stars

4 April and Maxim Stars

I love that when I pick up a book by Aurora Rose Reynolds, I get drama, passion, insta love and the chance to catch up with characters I have adored from previous books. This works as a standalone but this series and the parent series starting with Until November are fab reads.

I was really looking forward to April's story - she is certainly the feistiest of the Mayson sister's and perhaps the most independent and hardest to know. April always seemed a little bit removed from the others, trying to carve her own way in life. All the way along , it was clear that she was going to need a partner who would get the balance right between protecting and loving her but also not suffocating her emotionally. That man would be Maxim. I loved that these two had a teenage connection from years back - he was her first kiss when she was sixteen.

Lots of drama, sexy times, fab secondary characters and a full on deliciously hot alpha Hero.

HEA? Yes.
Cheating? No

I loved every single page of April and Maxim's story!!! I feel like I have been waiting forever for April's and then when ARR said Maxim was the hero I about died!!!!!!

Their story was everything you love about an Until story. April is used to doing things on her own and doesn't realize she is lonely till she see's Maxim again, the guy who gave her her first kiss. There was plenty of Mayson goodness, some mystery and suspense mixed in, plenty of Alpha possessive goodness. I devoured it one sitting!

You guys, you guys, you guys….whew, these two. These two first meet when she was 16 & he was eighteen, he was her first kiss, and obviously will be her last. Fast forward and they meet again, when she is going to find him a house…and they just never part after that, like literally she stays with him or he stays with her. He had to go back to Las Vegas for work, he was gone a few days, and then comes back to get her because he missed her so much. Maxim is Kai’s son from the Underground Kings series, just as intense as his father. He does not mess around, like at all. I believe Kenton described him as “intense”, and I think that is an understatement. And he is intense in the sexiest ways. He is a man that knows what he wants, and he gets it. I think we all know what happens now…dibs. Feel like I am being a bit territorial…because I almost inserted my Bitmoji on the cover…lol…maybe later. Relationship goals, I have them and these two are it.

Safe read with a dirty talking over the top alpha that will make you wish you were April Mayson too, and of course the sweet and sassy object of his affection. Not gonna lie, I felt like Maxim was right up there with Nico for me. So I assume there’s gonna be a bunch of virtual claimings going on, so a lot of shenanigans for sure. Ya’ll know the Mayson’s are always in the middle of some crazy stuff. This is exactly why the Until series is one of my favorites. You know relationship goals with a side of crazy suspense. Epilogue with a few timelines and a hea for this intensely sexy duo.

Ah well, I can't stop reading Aurora Rose Reynolds' books...LOL,

damn, they are NOT quite right up my alley, I dislike anything INSTA, lol...I do like demanding, determined ALPHAs though, hah, so I guess that is the turning point for me, in always ending up picking up one of her books...and devouring it

It was fun, fast paced (in everything) BUT I liked it, as I usually do, but I can't rate it more than I usually do either...it's a matter of principle *shrugs*

I am TRASH for the Until series. Until April delivers another delicious alpha and stubborn woman. There is a real danger present throughout the story that adds to the tension. April is still nursing a bruised heart after her famous ex-boyfriend chose his band and groupies over her love. This makes her a bit gun shy. None of that matters to Maksim!

These two have a kind of second chance love story. I wanted to knock their heads together sometimes because they need to use their words!! Both assumed things of the other and this all could have been avoided with simple conversations. However, it doesn't cause any major problems, and the issue is usually wrapped up within a few pages. Their relationship is not where the major drama comes from, and it was a really interesting mystery!

If you love the OTT alphas, insta-love, and lots of steamy scenes, Until April is perfect pick!

  POV: dual 1st
  Tears: no
  Trope: insta-love, second chance romance
  Triggers:
Series/Standalone: stand alone (you really can read this without reading any of the other books in the series)
  Cliffhanger:
  HEA:

Lev by Belle Aurora, Dream Maker by Kristen Ashley, Ruthless Gentleman by Louisa Bay...then you will probably like Until April!

5 Star Review Until April (Until Him/Until Her #10) by Aurora Rose Reynolds
April Mayson has given up on a happily ever after and is focused on her career. However fate has plans for April and that puts family friend Maxim Kauwe, front and centre. I fell hard and fast for Maxim. Such a swoon worthy man who ticked all the boxes for me.
The characters were engaging and easy to relate to and I found myself invested in the story that Ms. Reynolds wove. I loved how feisty and sassy April was, she gives as good as she gets and isn’t afraid to stand up for what and who she believes in. Having been badly burnt by Cohen, she has self doubts, but Maxim is such a caring and protective man who does his best to earn her trust.
April is shocked when her ex, Cohen turns up wanting a second chance, add in a serial killer who may have her in mind as a target and I was all in. Will April open her heart to Maxim or will she give Cohen another chance? Can Maxim keep her safe?
This is a well written romantic story with steam, suspense and mystery and one that will keep you on the edge of your seats.
The connection between Maxim and April intensifies as they get to know one another and it was heart warming to watch their relationship develop.

April and Maxim brought so much to the relationship! And the funniest part is that the one to try to pull away wasn’t quite who you’d expect. Between a few miscommunications and insecurities, I was worried for a little bit, but I knew that this author wouldn’t let me down. And she sure didn’t! Maxim was fabulous, and I loved the chance to catch up with his parents because I adored their story also. We still get to hang with November and Asher a bit, as well, and Kenton joins the party, which only served to make this story even more engaging.

I even loved the nonsense that a spiteful person pulled because the way it wound up being handled was gold. We aren’t playing with little boys here, folks. These are men who know how to get results without causing drama for those they love, and boy were there results! And yet, even with two different sources of danger and drama, this didn’t feel OTT at all. It felt more like life. Because let’s face it, problems don’t wait in line for their turn in reality. They pop up and cause chaos whenever they feel like doing so, which is exactly what happened here. But Maxim and April made it through everything thrown at them. They even managed to cause some chaos of their own (the felony!) and left me wishing for more time with them by the end of this book.

You don’t need to have read Kai and Myla’s story or even Asher and November’s to appreciate and understand this one, but I would recommend going back to the parent and their tales only because they were wonderful also. But if you haven’t, that’s okay. You can still love Maxim and April just as much as I did without the first generation’s stories.

If you know ARR, you know what you're getting with this book.......

Maxim and April shared one kiss as teens but have lived separate lives. He's looking for a home and a business to purchase..... she's a realtor. By I think chapter 2 they were already sleeping together
Got together and STAYED TOGETHER!!! No bs last minute separation.
All drama came from outside the relationship, her ex who causes some trouble for her by publicly admitting he wanted her back. His fans are bonkers.
Then there's a serial killer who's killing realtors and April gets hurt, while at least 3 other women were murdered
Maxim is of course j/p, bossy Alpha male
Pretty decent read

No cheating
OM drama
Typical bossy H, like he has a key for her house without her permission 😂 real life red flag, perfectly acceptable in ARR land
Epilogue 😍

Can I just give this book ALL THE STARS PLEASE!

What a powerful, amazing, and sexy story! Gah! I literally sat down and read this straight through. I savored every exquisite moment. April and Maxim are perfection! They are both such strong characters and I absolutely loved every single moment with them. They challenge each other to make them perfect for one another.

Just like a true Mayson, "BOOM", their story is explosive! Full of passion, suspense, and love. They captured my attention and heart from start to finish. April needed a strong man and Maxim fits that bill perfectly! Easy 5 stars!!

I was excited for April since day one. There was something about her that I just knew I would adore her. And I wasn't wrong: Until April is everything I thought it would be and even more.

Maxim is a dream. I always get attached to Aurora's characters and getting these two together was everything to me. My heart was melting to know that both families would be tied together because I love them sooo much!

April is such an amazing woman. This book is absolutely phenomenal. I'm totally in love and don't think I'll be able to get over it soon. As usual I just devoured Aurora's book and I'm still hungry for more.

Absolutely adore April & Maxim! This is a classic "Until" story & I enjoyed every second, every page, every touch, every kiss, every ... well, you get the idea! April didn't think she was ready for a relationship, still dealing w/ her ex who just WON'T LEAVE HER ALONE, but Maxim... Well, he's Kai's son, after all, and as soon as that BOOM hits, there's no way he won't show April the love!

Their story has sweetness & spice, humor, a kitten, and we get to see a lot of family dynamic, which I love love love! Spending time w/ Kai & Myla again, hooray! There's also a suspenseful plot or two & they were done very well!

Thumbs up! All the love!!!

I wasn't a fan of Kai and Myla's story (my favorite of that series was the first book with Kenton and Autumn), but I really enjoyed this book with their son, Maxim, and April, Asher and November's daughter.

I did think that the parts with April's ex and the murders ended abruptly, but I probably just didn't want this book to end.

I would love to see books about Maxim's siblings, Melanie and especially Malo - he was hilarious!!!

3.5 stars!

It's been a while since I've read a Reynolds book but as soon as I started this it was so very clear that I was reading one of her stories. This is April Mayson's story and I was excited to finally read about her HEA. April has spent most her time and energy on building her career as a real estate agent because she has been burned by men and her last relationship with a rock star went down in flames.

When April is tasked with helping Maxim (Myla and Kai's son from the Underground Kings series) find some property her whole world is flipped on its head. Maxim is everything she has ever wanted wrapped up in a possessive and growly package but can she trust that he won't break her heart?

Maxim has never wanted a relationship but when he sees April again he knows she is the one and no one else will do for him. He realizes that April is going to be a tough nut to crack, especially with her rock star ex trying to win her back and a serial killer in town. Will Maxim win April's heart and keep her safe?

If you've read any of Reynolds' books, you know how her stories go, how her men are and how her females are. Her books may be formulaic but they're entertaining. This one had the signature alpha male, suspenseful plot and delicious chemistry and steam. However, my biggest problem with this story was that I felt like I was reading a play-by-play of every single moment. Each moment was explained in excruciatingly long detail and it was a bit too much.

I also found myself annoyed that April and Maxim didn't communicate well. I don't know if my taste has changed with romance novels or if I wasn't in the mood for grunted answers and deflections but I wanted to strangle the two of them a few times. Overall, if you're looking for a sweet romance with steam and suspense, then I do recommend this one. It's good...it just missed the mark for me in a few places.

April and Maxim.

Oh I adored this book just like all of Auroras books. April is strong willed and very smart. When she was 16 she kissed a boy named Maxim. Now many years later he's in Nashville looking to buy a business. April is a real estate agent so she shows him a few places. I'm really sad this series is over I have loved this family so much.

I couldn't really engage with the MCs as a couple and everything felt rather lacklustre.

Not the little gem I was hoping for.
