Rachel True—beloved for her role in the cult classic movie The Craft—shares her tarot knowledge, gained through a lifetime of practice. Accessible and conversational, this guidebook, which is compatible with any tarot deck, helps readers use the cards as True with an intuitive approach. She shares personal stories from her experiences in Hollywood to illuminate how to personalize the meaning of each card, and how—much in the way Carl Jung used them in his practice—tarot offers wisdom based on the reader’s present energy.
Download the True Heart Intuitive Tarot ebook for tarot readings on the go, or for use with your own deck. The ebook includes the full guidebook, complete with art, but does not include the physical tarot deck.
“That's the beauty of tarot; you don't need any special talents. Just your open mind. You can pick up your own deck, clear your energy, and feel empowered doing it. The only thing you'll be summoning is your own intuition, insight, and connection to spirit.”—Rachel True, from True Heart Intuitive Tarot
A semi auto-biographical, spiritual and mindful journey into the art of reading Tarot. Rachel True, from the movie The Craft, has filled this book with a fun, lighthearted, take on Tarot Cards that is also very deep and engaging. They don’t need to be feared or avoided… they can help you get to know yourself better (not through woo but a gentle introspection into your inner feelings).
Personally, I love collecting Tarot Cards for the gorgeous art but I’ve always felt like I needed to learn exactly what every card means prior to using them properly. Now, I feel more confident to start a mindful relationship with each card, a unique self exploration and enjoyment for myself.
My Audible copy of this audiobook also included a free PDF containing layouts to try out and what each card placement could mean.
Seeing not only tarot but life through her eyes for only a moment was so intriguing and informative.
What’s great about this tarot guide is that the author (Rachel True of 90s movie The Craft🖤) shares stories from her life to help illustrate the meanings of the major arcana. I love this method and I haven’t seen it in many tarot books.
I found the major arcana section most interesting as Rachel included personal stories for each card. Yes, they were all Hollywood-centric stories but at least it created a point of view and how one might reinterpret the card symbols to modern life. It was a bit like getting a biography told through the tarot.
The minor arcana was more traditional meanings and descriptions and often the text felt copied and pasted — I.e. each ace started out with the exact same sentence for all four suits. It’s true, aces are about beginnings but the text could have used a little editing to make it feel less like “didn’t I just read this page?”
I was interested in reading this book when I found out the author of the book was in the movie The Craft. I do not have the tarot deck but audio had her book so I decided to check it out. First the book does work well as an audio. There is a PDF attachment for the tarot spreads and the book was formatted correctly so it’s easy to find the definition of each card. I think the best part was the description of the majors. The author had personal stories to demonstrate her point.
True Heart Intuitive Tarot is a satisfying mix of a tarot guide and an autobiography. It’s nice to learn about how tarot affected her. She discussed her life in Hollywood and how the cards affected it as well as offering clear instruction on how to read tarot and interpret it your way. It was very insightful and entertaining
Tarot instruction mixed with an autobiography. It’s nice to learn about how tarot effected this person’s life and how she learned the cards by association with her own life experiences. Tarot is not just cards to the author they are cherished friends.
