The road to redemption is paved with a lot of crap… Or something like that.

Devany Vincent loves her life and calling as an elemental guardian. She never once questioned her future, until an unexpected betrayal changed everything. Now Devany and her friends are scrambling to save their home. She knew teaming up with a sexy fae-tracker would be complicated, but she didn’t realize just how much.

Lincoln Terrell’s life has been in shambles for as long as he can remember. Being a tracker is the only thing he’s ever been good at, and now he can’t even do that right. When he agreed to help protect the elemental’s magic stone, he had no idea how far it would take him, or that he’d find himself so conflicted over a firey, red-head who challenges everything he’s always believed.

Together, they’ll travel to Ireland and hunt down the stone before the elemental’s magic is lost to them forever. But when the unthinkable happens and tragedy strikes, it becomes clear that getting the water stone home is the least of their problems.

Buried by Jennifer Forist is the second book in The Elementals Trilogy and picks up where book one left off. The main characters of book one were Coralee and Ryder, their relationship, and their HEA, but this book focuses on Devany and Lincoln and their relationship.

The water stone has been stolen, and it’s up to this group of Elementals and Trackers to get it back. The group travels from their home in Myrtle Beach to Ireland to hunt down the stone. Along the way, they meet other elementals and discover bits about their history. While the characters may accomplish their goal, for the time being, trouble is still brewing, and it’s a matter of time before things get messy.

Dev and Lincoln had an immense dislike for each other, but their attraction was so intense they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. What starts off as simple hooking up eventually turns into not being able to go without each other. Of course, things aren’t easy for them and as they go on this adventure to restore balance in the world their complex pasts make it difficult for them to pursue a relationship.

I loved that while Buried continues the previous storyline it’s unique in the sense that we see things unfold through different characters with their own biases. Buried was action-packed, funny, and romantic. I’m curious to see what Forist has planned for the last book in the series and which couple will be the focus of that book.

The stone is stolen and taken away. Coralee, her friend Devany and another one from home - Morgan got out in time before their world was closed from the outside. The rest of their people, friends and family was stuck inside their home - Talantic. Stuck with the food they had left because they bought it from the outside. When the stone is gone the magic disappears. After one month the girls still hasnt found the stone so they can bring it back to Talantic and save everyone. Are they still alive?

They work togheter with two trackers, Ryder and Lincoln.

Lincoln has a bad relationship with his dad who manipulates and just says bad stuff. Lincoln has very low self esteem because of this and is very angry with himself but takes it out on others.

The team get a clue on where the stone has been taken and goes there. They meet other Elementals and cooperate with them to get the water stone back.

This book is an emotional journey as well for their quest of taking the stone back to save their people.

So many things from the books before is followed up in this book and thats so great! Things that makes sense!

The last thing remain though - to kill the fae who wants all the stones for itself. (and thats not good for the whole planet)

Such an enjoyable read! I loved reading from Dev and Lincoln’s view. It brought another depth to the story to have it told from another couples point of view. We still got plenty of Coralee and Ryder too. Morgan was an interesting bonus to this book. I’m surprised that I actually quickly liked her character. I’m hoping the next book will be from her point of view. If not I’m at least hoping we get plenty of her character. Honestly, I love all the characters from this series. I’m excited to see how this story wraps up and I can’t wait to read the next book!

I've had Drowning, Fated and Buried as e-books for a few weeks and I can't believe I waited this long to read them! They ended way to fast and especially Buried. I need more!

First of, elemental magic - love it! And the places that comes with it. I love the fact that we get aquainted with all elements, not just water and ice💧❄

Thank you for writing this! Enemies to lovers, great plot, development of the characters. Situations that brings so many emotions and a must for fantasy books = smut 🤩

Excited for the third book in this triology and who the main characters will be this time. I have my guesses 😄

The action packed adventure continues in Buried, the second instalment of Jennifer Forist’s Elementals Trilogy. With a good healthy dose of romance too. I really enjoyed Buried, with its pacy plot line and endearing characters. Lincoln is a little frustrating initially, but that resolves as you learn more about him and as the story progresses. Devany is a wonderful heroine - she wades right in and kicks ass, is straight-talking and knows her mind…it is her heart that she has trouble trusting. As with Drowned, Buried finishes on a mild cliff-hanger which has me looking forward to the conclusion of the series in Falling, due out early in 2022.

Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.

I remembered reading the first book so clearly so as soon as I picked this one up I knew what was happening. I love a memorable series that sticks with you. I really enjoyed this instalment of the series, I am looking forward to the final book to see how it is all wrapped up.

This instalment was spoken in the perspective of Dev and Lincoln. I thought this was interesting as we got to read about other characters in the series. This brought a lot of depth to the series. I enjoyed it because we still got to read about Coralee and Ryder but also getting an insight of another two well developed characters. The chapters alternated between Dev and Lincoln so this was easy to follow. I found their relationship very interesting to read about, there was a lot of self discovery of both of them throughout this book.

In this book we get to learn more about the elementals and the guardians. When they visit a new place to prevent another stone from being taken, we get to meet even more people and they introduce us to more knowledge about the world. I enjoyed the journey they went on in this book and there was the element of mystery at the end ready for the final book in the trilogy.

I thought the book was written well and the plot was well thought out. There was the element of fantasy which I loved and it wasn’t made complicated. This series is easy to follow and keep up with. Instead of having a ‘what happened in the first book’ section, the author done something different. As this book was spoken in the perspective of a different character, Dev actually gave the reader a quick few paragraphs to keep us up to date with what was happening. I thought this was a good way to ease readers back into this series without having a whole chapter for it.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a YA fantasy. It is honestly such an amazing trilogy!

Title: Buried
Series: The Elementals Trilogy

Yet again, I thank the author for sharing this book with me and I consider it a privilege to leave this review.

Buried is the second book in The Elementals Trilogy, a fantasy series, by debut author Jennifer Forist. The writing again was simple (like I mentioned in my review of the first book) for my taste. The action scenes start pretty much from the start of the book which is engaging but it's still medium-paced with a light sprinkling of humor.

Buried has a dual point of view from Devany, an elemental-Fae; a friend of Coralee and Lincoln, a Fae-tracker hunter; friend of Ryder. Devany leaves the elemental kingdom Talantic to follow Coralee in search of Raynah to bring back the stolen stone. Their adventures in Ireland leave them shocked as they search for the stone and learn the truth behind their history. Character development among the group is great including the main characters. Setting up the obligatory enemies to lovers' romance is central to the story.

Overall, it was an easy light read and it would be interesting to see what is planned for her next book and if Morgan’s will be the next POV.

Oh wow, it is surreal reading a book set in your own country (for me, that's Ireland) and even more so when it's a fantasy book!

Once again, it is a dual narrative - except this time Devany and Lincoln are our main characters. I didn't realise that the focus wasn't going to be on Coralee and Ryder anymore, and I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I didn't enjoy this quite as much as book one, but it was by no means a bad book. Devany is such a bubbly character I'm sure there's plenty of readers that will actually prefer her perspective.

It's been a while since I read this one so I don't have much more to say other than I'm looking forward to seeing how the series concludes 😊

Devany is a kick-arse woman not afraid to get knocked down. However, when she does she doesn't frustrate you by wasting time licking her wounds. She's not one to wait around for others that do either. It's a fresh pace for a protagonist that I fully enjoyed. I also enjoyed how the adventure ended up in Ireland for most of the novel and raised interest for novel 3 in doing so. The romance between Devany and Lincoln is steamy yet written mildly making it good for both young and older adults. -I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book was just as good as the first one! I couldn't put it down. The perspective given through Devaney and Lincoln made this even more interesting. The descriptions that were made throughout this book are accurate and made everything come to life. This book was as well written as the first one. This is typically a genre that I wouldn't have normally read, but am glad I tried them. It left me wanting more and I can't wait for the third book to be released.

What an incredible ride! I fell in love with the first book, then came the second. Dev had much more patience than I would've. The book was full of exciting twists and turns. I never knew what to expect next. Which helped to keep it interesting. The introduction of Morgan made the story even more exciting.
You know... I'm kind of sad it's almost over. I've fallen in love with the characters and wish I could see how their lives play out.

I absolutely adore this author for so many reasons, one being that this second book just picks right back up! Makes it perfect for binge reading!
This is a world I don’t want to leave and I know this trilogy will be a reread comfort food type for me.
Make sure to grab snacks before you sit because you absolutely won’t be able to put it down!

I loved book 1 and although book 2 was enjoyable it didn't do it for me. I love the stakes and the magic but I was kind of feeling empty. I'm waiting for book 3, the finale.😬
