As expect, I now had a craving for more Daddy kink. And along came this book, which I hadn't even had on my radar, but which surprised me in a positive way. Admittedly not really the kind of Daddy kink I wanted to read (because that only comes at the very end and is not the focus of this book) but so good that I couldn't put it down.
Very interesting and very well written for me. Some reviews criticize the inner monologues, and yes, there is not much plot, so the inner views of the characters are very much in the foreground. However, I liked it. I found it just matched the broken and insecure MCs without becoming too much.
Otherwise, very sexy, with an ever-increasing arousal, if you can call it that. A little different and definitely very tasty.
And since Dylan is completely new to this, light BDSM. Not too much, just the right dose.
Oh, it was just lovely.
My only tiny criticism is that the “I love you”s were a bit abrupt. I think a page or two more of inner monologue wouldn't have hurt at this point to make it smoother.
Daddy kink, I don't know how to say it ... for most of the book, it's not. It's only at the end that it turns out to be a good fit for Nicholas and Dylan. And there is a tiny bit of age-play, I think the warning needs to go here even if it gives too much away. But I know that many readers would avoid the book for that reason. But it's not what you'd expect from age-play books, it's extremely mild and you only really get it in the epilogue on page, but even then it's almost imperceptible. First and foremost it's a Dom/sub story.

Giving this three stars because the BDSM felt pretty much okayish to me. Nothing that memorable. My personal take when it comes to BDSM is that you either go all out hardcore to it or don't bother doing it all. In short, I just wanted a really good dicking between the characters. However, I love the first half of the story. It was very sensual and gave me major Lana Del Rey vibes. I'm recommending this book to anyone new to BDSM, I guess. But for the veterans out there, definitely no.

This may be more of a rant than a review. There will be spoilers.
It's clear from reading this book that the author has little to no experience with BDSM, good Doms or littles. Honestly, giving this book 2 stars is generosity at this point. Yes Daddy books are super popular right now, but that doesn't mean just anyone can write a good one.
First, this book is not well written. 90% of the book is Nicholas' angst about being a Dom again and allowing himself to feel again..blah blah blah. At 60% it had grown more than tedious to read his point of view. We never learned exactly what was said about him that caused him to become a recluse, but if he was called a bad Dom, well that was the truth. I will write more on that later.
Dylan is 19, straight out of foster care and struggling to make ends meet. He's starved for any kind of attention and affection. His friend recommends modeling and he's choses because of his innocence. He agrees to the job and moves out into the woods with an absolute stranger and within a week, he's in love. Oy.
I know that these type of "romance" books aren't meant to be a how to guide to BDSM. However, if you are going to write about it, you best know what your taking about.
Issue #1-there's a huge power imbalance already. Dylan is desperate for this job and knows he has to do well in order to make it in the industry. He can't help but follow what Nicholas says because he fears he'll be sent home. Nicholas admits, at some point in the book, to creating these scenarios to make Dylan want to stay even though he has no plans of keeping him around.
Issue #2-Nicholas is a horrible Dom. Along with leading Dylan into a lifestyle without any real guidance, he also plays with Dylan's emotions and feelings. Their "talk" before they started their D/s relationship is a joke. No real talk of limits, rules, roles, safety. He does mention safe words to Dylan, but there's no other guidance. Dylan asks to be crucified.....what?? Nicholas puts him on the cross and it seems that Dylan is left to hang and while being impaled on a toy attached to a pole. That doesn't sound safe or sane to me.
Issue #3-The scenes. Nicholas ties Dylan to a tree during one of the photoshoots. He wants Dylans's arms to hurt. He wants him in pain for the photo shoot. Dylan's basically naked against rough tree bark and his arms and hands are going numb all while Nicholas is paying him zero attention. Dylan finally gives into the pain and he watches Nicholas pick up his camera. He literally can't feel his arms or hands and this is supposed to be ok.
Scene #2. After Dylan's crucified, Nicholas leaves him to clean up and meet him up stairs. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F*CK?!?!?!? There's absolutely no aftercare. Nicholas barely pays him any attention and Dylan basically takes a shower and goes to bed.
Scene #2-Dylan is put in a swing with his arms and legs bound. They start playing and Nicholas leaves. Just leaves. Doesn't tell Dylan where he is going or when he'll be back. Dylan starts to panic and Nicholas walks back in with his camera and asks Dylan if he was scared Again, Nicholas leaves Dylan to clean up after himself and offers no aftercare. Dylan tells Nicholas he loves him and Nicholas leaves without a word. No aftercare, no reassurance that he would be more emotional because of the adrenaline... nothing.
The final straw for me is when Nicholas tells Dylan that he's a little and Nicholas isn't a Daddy. At no point in this book did Dylan give off any type of little vibe. Nicholas watches him with the kitten and all of a sudden Dylan's a little. COME ON!!! He doesn't even correctly explain what a little is to Dylan.
All in all this book was far from enjoyable. I do not understand the 4 and 5 star reviews for this book, but everyone has their own taste in books...and this one just isn't mine.

3.5 stars. Dylan never expected to be chosen by the photographer. But he was.
For the next few weeks, he and the photographer will retreat together to the mountains, where the man has a house.
There are many participants but there’s only one who’s the most beautiful in all his innocentness, Nicholas is certain about Dylan and also aware he has to keep some distance or else he’ll lose his heart.
The story is completely built around the proximity of these two men, where Nicholas tries and succeeds to take the perfect pictures of beautiful Dylan. Pictures where Dylan feels free to express and be vulnerable with and without clothes, he’s a natural.
Nicholas sees the sub in Dylan and Dylan understands Nicholas is a Dom.
He wants it all with Nicholas.
Dylan is sweet and kind and sadly he’d never experienced the feeling to belong, this big man who seems to see so much in him could be the one, only Nicholas made it clear it’s for the duration of these few weeks.
The story shows a lot of exploring, finding edges, freedom, and opening up, all very carefully, and nicely developed. It’s all quite sweet.
The course of the story was soft and the photographic part was so focused and mesmerizing, I loved it to see through the lens of the camera. Those parts were really well done. The BDSM parts were also soft, for this story it was appropriate.
I missed some struggle, tension, or conflicts in this narrative. I was waiting for some more hurt, there was some but the author was so kind to them, it went all smoothly.
The way the story went was satisfying, I had a good time reading.

As someone who enjoys acting/modeling plotlines, the premise intrigued me.
I appreciate that the POVs are noticeably different. The author manages to sell Nicholas as the somewhat enigmatic photographer - with vaguely psychopathic tendencies. I might be too quick to sound my perv-alert-alarm, but I felt very creeped out by Nicholas' observations of Dylan's body.
Is this just my ace-ass talking or is it genuinely creepy? I feel like it's the latter, but then again, Nicholas' voice reminds me a little of the psychopathic MC of Agnes by Peter Stamm, so YMMV.
Also, I love character-driven books with less focus on the plot, BUT in this case, I felt like the plot got lost somewhere along the way.
There were multiple issues that were never addressed and important conversations that were never had:
1.) Nicholas assumes Dylan wants to kick-start his modeling career, but for Dylan it was more of a "eh whatever, I need the money" thing. Especially considering Nicholas' ex, I feel like that is an important conversation to be had.
2.) Apparently Nicholas connects intimately/gets very attached to all his models due to the way he approaches photography - and Dylan knows that. How is the thing he does at the end in any way a proof of love unique to Dylan? If I were Dylan, I'd probably challenge that.
3.) Continued from 2.), does Nicholas continue with his work even after getting together with Dylan? It's explicitly stated that Nicholas doing a shoot is supposed to be an experience even more intimate than sex, so wouldn't Dylan have a problem with that?
4.) It's also explicitly brought up that for the duration of the shoot, they live in a bubble, and they wish they could stay there forever, ignoring the rest of the world and other responsibilities. But in the epilogue, they are shown to continue in said bubble. Does Dylan ever get a job? If not, where are they getting their money now that Nicholas presumably no longer does the photoshoots he is so famous for?
5.) What is the fallout of the shoot? Was it successful? Did Dylan get famous? Did he start modeling full-time? Are there ramifications from their relationship? Do they have to keep it secret?
I know, I know. It's about the romance and not the plot, but I feel like these are all very obvious questions to ask and that I automatically assumed would be answered when the issue came up. In the concept of Promises, Progress and Payoff (as coined by Brandon Sanderson), a lot of "promises" were made, but never actually followed through, which left me feeling very unsatisfied with the story.

The fact that it took me three days to read 147 page book says a lot. I just thought this was pretty boring. I hesitated even starting it because I don’t like Daddy kink, but the reviews said it didn’t start till almost the end so I thought I would enjoy it. I was wrong. This book was full of boring inner monologue and took much telling and not enough doing. This is my second book by Hayden Hall and I think it will be my last. I didn’t like the other one either.

A deliciously kinky slow burn romance.
The story follows the tale of Dylan who never expected to be swept off his feet by the damn-daddy-he's-hot photographer Nicholas.
With their chemistry sizzling in the air, Nicholas seems to be a master at reading and uncovering all of Dylan's quirks and insecurities.
Not many kink themed romances that focus a lot on the sensual aspects of getting to the place of complete trust and no inhibitions or even exploring limits together, so this romance was both sweet, sensual and hot to read.
As usual, Author Hall's writing flows through well and he makes it easy for us to love and adore both characters.
Shall be looking forward to more such reads from this author in the future.

For me, the relationship was problematic. Maybe it was just the storytelling, but either way, the relationship between daddy and boy was not good. I don't mean the D/s part of the story. I think that part, which was the bulk of the story, wasn't too bad, although I feel like the author didn't take the time to go into the details—especially the emotions involved in this type of relationship. The plot holes were big, I can tell you that.
But the real problem with this book, in my opinion, was the daddy/boy relationship. The author tried way too hard here. To make matters worse, the relationship wasn't even remotely explored. You can't just say that Dylan is a Little and then become a Daddy in two seconds, when apparently you're not even a Daddy, Nicholas. That's not how it works.
Also, where was the aftercare? I thought it was awful that Nicholas sent Dylan to shower alone after an intense scene. That's not how it's supposed to be.
No, really, I realise I might be a bit harsh and that it might not all be that bad, but this book, especially the ending of this book, made me pretty angry.

What a unique approach to a Daddy book. The book is a very subtle exploration of how the dynamic develops between two remarkably different people in hugely different situations and places in their lives.
Dylan is down on his luck. He’s been going from low paying job to job, barely able to pay his bills, but unable to stand working in the dumps he’s chosen. But he’s not sure what else to do. Two of his friends convince him to submit some facial photographs to a modeling agency to see if he gets any bites for a contract. As Nicholas and Dylan work together, the dynamic slowly reveals itself. Dylan likes to serve, shows an almost childlike excitement towards new things (and his kitty!), and blossoms under Nicholas’ praise. They experiment, they thrive, and they both learn that maybe they’re what each other needs.
The kinky “tools of the trade” don’t even show up until later in the book. This is not an in-your-face kinky book. It’s almost entirely about the emotion and dynamic that develops between the characters and is beautiful in that simplicity. It does not need the props for the story to shine. The budding relationship between the two MCs was wonderful to watch.

I don't even know where to begin with this. I guess I could start off by saying that first, I was given this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Maybe next I should tell you that the Dom/Sub trope is not my favorite. I mean, I will read them, but I always feel the same at the end. Just kind of blah and a little unfulfilled. Which leads into this next thing. I was completely surprised at how much I LOVED this book. I was even more surprised that now a Dom/Sub book is officially one of my favorite MM books of all time!
Hayden doesn't stick to one subgenre which I absolutely love. His Loving Again series are dramatic second chance romances and his College Boys of New Haven series is a bit lighter and fun (and sometimes 3x the fun!). This one, was something else entirely. It was dramatic, sweet, smart, sexy, and beautiful. He had sentences so moving or touching that I would reread them several times (I want to list them here, but I don't want to spoil it). Most of the book was so descriptive, I felt like I was actually there seeing and experiencing it too...and I'm completely bummed I wasn't!! There were also these sexy scenes that were so hot that I found I was holding my breath through them...and I'm not talking about the actual sex scenes here...though those were fire too!!! This slow burn that was happening, did all kinds of things to my soul.

This is a slightly different turn for Hayden Hall, although there are atmospheric elements similar to his Second Chance series.
It's quite an intense read but not because anything particularly angsty occurs; Nicholas is an intense character, very serious and careful, but also there's just something incredibly emotional about the writing.
The story is somewhat slow burn, but the first half of the book goes so fast that I didn't even realise nothing physical had really happened between them yet. The photo shoots are quite consuming, I kind of got swept away by it all.
Reading the book kind of feels like you're exploring along with Dylan, there's something languid and dreamy about the language. It's not your typical Daddy/Boy romance because of Dylan's youth and naivete, it's very much about him learning who he is and how Nicholas oversees his education.
I just really liked it.

Daddy’s Precious by author Hayden Hall is an MM age-gap romance. This story is told in dual POV and it really helps to get me into the right mindset and see into the characters better.
Dylan: has quit his job with no backup plan. His best friends get him a job as a model. He is flirty, a sensual man willing to take a risk for the right man. He is kind and sweet as well.
Nicholas: more than meets the eye. He is known for sleeping this his models. He is looking for a boy of his own but doesn’t know it, like subconsciously he is looking and maybe finally found him.
An eccentric, loving, sensual, and generous man.
Overall I adored this story. I like a slow burn that is a sensual ride. This one is that. I think each character found out something they didn’t know about themselves in this book. I would love to see where they go with this too.

The chemistry between Nicholas and Dylan was immediate and intense. It was also both innocent and raunchy at the same time. These two characters complement each other in so many ways. Dylan craves acceptance and just wants to please, and Nicholas can't deny the protective and nurturing instincts that Dylan so easily pulls from him. I loved how their time together allowed for their sexual chemistry to explode and their emotional connection to solidify. This book had some incredibly tender moments as well as steaming hot physical encounters. Great book!

There was something about this book that was magical and I still can't put my finger on exactly what. All I know is I couldn't put it down - I had to stay up until 2am to finish it in one sitting! I liked the blurb, but this book was in no way what I expected, it was ten times better.
Dylan is a relatively innocent 19 year old who is down on his luck so turns to modelling. Nicholas is a jaded photographer who was burned by a bad experience with a model in the past so has firm walls up about mixing business with pleasure. Together these two go on an incredible journey of getting to know each other - all with a tiny, adorable kitten in the mix to add to the sweetness and caring.
There were hot scenes dropped throughout and I loved how the daddy kink was integrated towards the end. This made it feel like an organic discovery and was so original compared to other books I've read. The epilogue gave enough to provide the happy ending but still left me craving more: more of them, more about their future, more about the other characters introduced.
Overall, a brilliantly original read that I would definitely recommend to others!

I normally go for paranormal/shifter books, but saw the cover of this and the blurb sounded great. Hayden is a new to me author.
The book flowed well, a slow burn with just enough of a hint of sexiness to make you want to turn the page.

This grabbed my heart from the beginning. Dylan broke my heart most of the way through the story. His life had been anything but happy. When he if faced with a orphan kitten, he has to take it in. When he is given a job opportunity, looking out for the kitten, he takes it with him. This is the theme I feel through most of the story, Dylan caring for something. When he meets Nicholas he just can’t help himself but in his own way starts caring for him. As they are together a relationship develops but since Dylan is on the road of discovery and Nicholas feels he can’t be what Dylan needs there are issues. I really enjoyed this story. As I mentioned, most of the story had me sad for both characters. I am sad to see their story end. I’d have liked to know if Nicholas continues his career. There could be many twists and turns left in their life. I follow this author so I can’t wait to see what is next but I’m sure it will capture my attention.

Daddy’s Precious was a really sweet and steamy story that pulls you in from the very beginning. I loved the idea that an unexpected modeling job brings Dylan and Nicholas together since it’s all new to Dylan and Nicholas is just starting a new project after being checked out for a while.
Dylan is such a caregiver, something that’s obvious from the very beginning. He loves taking care of others, doing things for them, making them more comfortable. When he finds the kidden and it immediately becomes his main commitment, you see just how deeply that desire to care for things goes. Nicholas is dominant but also endearing - he’s so invested in his photography and his methodology for creating beautiful art that it permeates into his personality. When Dylan and the kitten end up at his cabin, he finds himself wanting to care for both of them while they’re with him.
I really liked the working relationship between Dylan and Nicholas - they had boundaries and didn’t cross them, even when they were tempted. The way the photo shoots were described was really beautiful and I felt like I was right there with them, seeing the shots come to life. But, I think they entered into a relationship really quickly...they didn’t really get to know much about each other as people beyond the photoshoots and their casual conversations. I would have liked to see their relationship develop more before they acted on their intense connection.
I appreciated that there wasn’t much of a black moment between Dylan and Nicholas, that they resolved things quickly and finally admitted their feelings after having so many reservations.
As always, I wanted more from the epilogue - it was sweet, but I would have loved to see more of Dylan and Nicholas happy together.

This book was not at all what I was expecting, when I picked it up. It was so much more.
Nicholas is a photographer, known for a body of works of beautiful boys. He is also a Dom, who was hurt by his last boy and subject, and has vowed to never let the same thing happen again. He’s taken a year off, hiding in the solitude of his house and woods, from his work.
Dylan is young, and his life is a bit of a mess. Despite knowing that Nicholas has a reputation for sleeping with his subjects, he agrees to be the next muse for his latest project. It calls for spending three weeks alone with Nicholas, at his home, away from the world.
Nicholas sees the sub in Dylan almost immediately, even if the boy has no idea what he really is. He fights the temptation, vowing that that part of his life is on hold for now. No subjects, ever again. He can’t – won’t – risk his heart again.
The way Nicholas set a scene for Dylan, to capture the perfect shots of him, was breathtaking. I read the words written, then closed my eyes, and I savored them. Some books make you happy, sad, gutted, or leave a smile on your face. This book made me feel.
The characters are intense, and even though it’s a slow burn, it never feels that way. The steaming parts are hot, kinky, and had me rooting for these two very different men, who both needed each other so much. They were the perfect puzzle pieces.
I know no one reads the same book and has the same experiences. Same with a movie, or a television show. But, this book was so much more than I was prepared for. This book made me feel, made sit back and enjoy every bit of the journey, from the first word to the last. That doesn’t happen often, and kudos to Hayden Hall for this experience.

Let me start by saying, I love daddy/boy tropes. I love the dynamic between them and the feelings they present within the relationship in and out of the bedroom. This book had all of the aspects I'm looking for in daddy/boy relationship: love, passion, tenderness, sternness, and compassion. The characters were well developed and thought out. I couldn't put it down.
Dylan is a man just coming out of his teenage years, who struggles to find his place in the world. He's down on his luck and doesn't know what he's doing and where he wants to be in his life. When an opportunity to work with a well-renowned photographer falls at his feet, he's hesitant until he meets the man.
Nicholas is famous for taking intimate, romantic pictures of beautiful young men. When he gets burned by one of those men, he swears he will never be in that situation again. Not everyone understands the type of relationship Nicholas likes to be in with his lovers, but when he meets Dylan, he thinks he may be able to change his mind. Dylan had a rough upbringing going from foster home to foster home that the love he never had growing up is what he realizes he needs. He thinks Nicholas can give him what he needs and convinces him to be his daddy. Nicholas doesn't know if he can do it, but the more time they spend together and the more time they live in the daddy/boy dynamic, the more he realizes he's what's best for Dylan.
I loved everything about this book and would highly recommend it to all readers that like the daddy/boy dynamic. This book isn't hardcore BDSM and I think that's what makes it a good read for those that are not solely into that kind of relationship.

Well Hayden Hall has written another sauce filled book that will keep most people happy!! With hurt/comfort vibes, a kitten, a cross, a sparkling lake, woods, photography, D/s age gap love, an untapped Little, feathers, a bridge, encouraging friends, and instant attraction what could go wrong??
The two main characters are two ends of a spectrum before they met. One with full on carer Daddy vibes who's been seriously hurt by a previous lover, who withdrew and is more than cautious in life as he takes on his newest photography project with his young model who will just have to move into this mountainside home for at least two weeks to complete the project. Our young model isn't a professional and was put forward by friends but has heard the rumours but needs the money and likes the idea of working with such a famous photographer; he's not afraid and both are convinced they can get through the project without incident but HH has written them with instant chemistry and once the camera falls in love with our model so does the photographer and the more clothes that come off the harder things become to keep it professional, for either of them.
The story is full of happy and sexy moments, and touching insightfulness abounds whilst the camera clicks. The pace is good through the book, never faltering or dragging it's heels.
I really enjoyed the book and totally recommend you add it to your kindle today xx

This is a beautifully sweet take on a Daddy/boy relationship. Both Dylan and Nicholas are loveable characters who draw you in and leave you wanting them to find all the happiness they deserve. Dylan, especially, broke my heart with how lost he was and how hard life had treated him. And when he takes in an adorable orphan kitty, I was completely gone on him. He is such a caring and considerate person, and it was so heartwarming to see Nicholas help him find the sub inside of himself. At the same time, Dylan helps Nicholas rediscover his Dom side and realise that he can trust again.
Whilst I do feel like they entered the relationship a bit too quickly for the amount of time they had spent together, their strong emotional connection meant I didn’t mind this. I think there was potential for them to have explored more of the ‘getting to know you’ phase in the beginning. But once they come together and begin to build something, it’s so tender and organic. I really liked how the Daddy dynamic is introduced a bit later on in the book; it makes it feel more like a natural progression of their exploration.
A high heat but equally sweet and beautiful age-gap romance between two lost souls. Although wishing there was a little more in the epilogue for their HEA, I still throughly enjoyed their story and where they ended up.

This book was hard to rate. It has decent character development, and the instalove part of the plot was cute. However, all of the BDSM stuff was awful. No real negotiation. Not much communication during the scenes, one of which presented a massively unsafe situation. No aftercare whatsoever. Nicholas comes across as such a bad Dom. Then, there's the assumption made that Dylan's a Little seemingly based on the fact that he's caring for a kitten and still has some abandonment issues from growing up in foster care. And these things are just the problems that I can see based on the little knowledge of appropriate BDSM practices that I've gained from reading other fictional books.
Another issue with the book is that so many things are left out: where's the conversation about Dylan only getting into modeling because he needs a job and that he doesn't care about making it in the industry? Does Nicholas continue those erotic photo shoots with other boys after he falls in love with Dylan? Does Dylan continue modeling or does he find another job? What happens to them outside the little bubble they made? It shows them mostly isolated for their photo shoot weeks and then a year later still mostly isolated on a vacation in Thailand. Uggh...so much potential here that isn't developed.

I liked the premise and this had potential but for me it fell short and was disappointing. I enjoyed Dylan. I wasn't overly fond of Nick. I didn't think they had much chemistry. This was a very quick and easy read. I enjoyed it enough that I didn't not want to finish it and I did read it all in one read and didn't need to take a break so it definitely wasn't bad. I just found it way too tedious for my liking. Too much of the story is focused on Nick being reluctant to trust again. By the time anything actually happened I didn't have much interest. It was just too little too late for me. I will say that some of the scenes near the end were hot and a newbie to BDSM will likely enjoy them but I will also add that another point that I did not like was that anyone really into BDSM will prob not like how these situations were written. They are lacking in structure and realism. I don't know how else to say it without totally dropping spoilers.

I liked the premise and this had potential but for me it fell short and was disappointing. I enjoyed Dylan. I wasn't overly fond of Nick. I didn't think they had much chemistry. This was a very quick and easy read. I enjoyed it enough that I didn't not want to finish it and I did read it all in one read and didn't need to take a break so it definitely wasn't bad. I just found it way too tedious for my liking. Too much of the story is focused on Nick being reluctant to trust again. By the time anything actually happened I didn't have much interest. It was just too little too late for me. I will say that some of the scenes near the end were hot and a newbie to BDSM will likely enjoy them but I will also add that another point that I did not like was that anyone really into BDSM will prob not like how these situations were written. They are lacking in structure and realism. I don't know how else to say it without totally dropping spoilers.

Wonderful Book
First time reading this author and I have to say that this was a great book. Dylan is a young man who agrees to a photo shoot to earn money and meets Nicholas a photographer doing a comeback shoot after being burned by a previous model he fell in love with. I loved how the author explained how Nicholas set up each shoot to evoke emotions out of Dylan before snapping the pictures. He wanted Dylan to picture in his mind the scenario as if he were truly living in that moment and experiencing it, and the moment he saw the exact emotion come out of Dylan, he snapped the picture. The catch, each scenario was sexual in nature and Dylan was usually naked. This leads to Nicholas realizing that Dylan is a true Sub which scares him as that's what inevitably leads him to fall in love with Dylan. Dylan also starts to fall for Nicholas and they explore a Dom/sub dynamic with soft BDSM elements. This was a great book and I highly recommend it. I'm looking forward to reading more from this series. Oh and I can't forget Sir Ponce A Lot, he was adorable.

Whenever I know Hayden's book is coming out, I'm more excited than he is, I'm sure of that.
Each book is a new adventure and the way he develops his characters, making you empathize with them is truly unique.
However, this is a different and fantastic book that captivates you from the start.
Dylan is a guy who tries to find the right job for him but he's not lucky at all. One day his friends proposed to send some of his photos to the modeling agency where one of them was working. Dylan is a natural beauty and he doesn't know yet but he's a natural sub too. To his surprise, the agency calls him introducing Nicholas, a famous photographer.
Nicholas is a Dom who buried that side of him, after being betrayed but with Dylan, it all resurfaces, starting a really well-created dynamic.
Ahhhh, I think I spoiled the book too much, ooops, it deserves to be read.. you won't be disappointed at all...

I fell in love with Dylan from the start. As a mother, my heart hurt for how lonely he must have felt as a young boy, living in foster care and constantly having new foster parents, shuffled from house to house. Nicholas was emotionally hurt by one of his previous boys and was afraid to get attached to another boy. As a photographer, Nicholas needed a new model for a new book of photographs he was doing and Dylan the boy he wanted. Little by little, Nicholas is drawn to Dylan's sunny personality and willingness to serve and help others, even an abandoned kitten. They have an agreement with how long the job will take, but neither one of them realized just how they would be together... Like fireworks!
This is a low angst, yet very caring story about two lost people, unknowingly searching for the right one. I loved this book and am a big fan of Hayden Halls'. Enjoy.

A wonderful story! This book is amazing and I absolutely loved it! The story of Dylan and Nicholas is filled with love and second chances. They meet when Dylan is chosen to be the model for Nicholas’s come back collection. Nicholas has spent the last year in hiding after his last model became a bit more and then ruined everything. Nicholas is determined to keep his distance but Dylan’s excitement and innocence will make it impossible. Soon, the two agree to start a relationship but only while they are working on the project. As the end of their time together approaches, Nicholas realizes that while he may not be exactly what Dylan needs, he can’t bear to let him go.

Whew. Get out your fan to read this one. Either that or keep your cold drink handy to relieve some of the heat that pours off these pages. This is a spicy and sweet book. Dylan is a photographer who has hidden from the world for a year and is now back, working on a project to reintroduce his work to the world. Nicholas is the young model that is inspiring him to love his art again. The whole process these two go through to create the photos is sexy and intimate without anything happening between the two of them. The heat off these book pages is a bit different and intense. It is truly lovely. As the trust between these two builds, the heat just rises. Nicholas is a perfect sub, even though he doesn't understand what that is at first. Dylan is the perfect one to teach him.
